Ubisoft have released a broad update on the future of Assassin's Creed, with thoughts from new head of content Jean Guesdon. It doesn't tell us much, but it doesn't tell us nothing. At the very least, it's not another layoff announcement.

Firstly, don't believe the scuttlebutt about their Assassin's Creed multiplayer project, Codename Invictus, which is "progressing steadily" in the hands of some For Honor veterans. It's not some kind of Fall Guy house party malarkey, whatever the rumour-mongers might tell you. It's… well, it sounds like they're still deciding what it is. Announced in 2022, the project is proceeding on a "test and learn" basis.

People on social media are upset about censorship in Resident Evil Requiem. Wait, come back! This isn't one of those situations where Twitter dudes with usernames like BasedMaxxing97 rant about the bikini armor being altered to cover up the 'vagina bones'. It seems the Japanese version of Capcom's new horror game doesn't feature any blood and guts in certain scenes, in a bid to appease the country's regulators.

Instead it has… anomalous pools of shadow. Hideous darkness spilling from the cleaved torsos of ostensible cadavers. The same darkness lurks within you and I. What fools we were, to ever think ourselves meat. We are but the place where the light isn't. Umbral puppets. Gabbling event horizons. Arigatou gozaimasu, Capcom! I feel much better now.

It's been a little bit since The Outer Worlds 2 got that November patch aiming to take care of mysterious eyebrow disappearances. I wonder what the latest one, which is fairly beefy, does. Oh, it adds a number of handy features like the option to advance time by waiting, toggle walking via key press, and extra stealth kill animations.

Nice and boring. Oh, wait. "Gary will no longer attack the player from beyond the veil". "Fixed cases where some NPCs could see the player while they were wearing the bucket hat". "The pit outside of the entrance to Algid Menagerie will now always kill the player as intended". "NPCs should no longer moonwalk, despite being in space".

It seems like a million years have passed since the release of Tom Clancy's The Division 2, the squalid shooter-looter set in banged-up Washington D.C. In fact, it's only been seven. Which is quite a lot of years, in fairness, but that period also spans a lot of upheaval - the Covid pandemic, Trump's re-election, the exploding popularity of generative AI, the onset of chronic live service apathy, the lingering undeath of NFTs, and the literal invasion of Washington D.C. by the National Guard.

Both The Division 2's original looting mechanics and its 100% apolitical regime change storyline now feel to me like the products of a different universe, though Ubisoft have been updating the game and releasing new stuff for it throughout. Their latest addition is a Realism Mode, exclusively available through the existing Warlords of New York expansion, which will itself be freely available to all players until 2nd April.

Mario Clash and Mario's Tennis Games Return on Mario Day

Nintendo announced it will honor Mario Day on March 10, 2026 by releasing the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack games Mario Clash, Mario's Tennis, and Mario vs Donkey Kong. The first two will join the Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics app, while the third will be on the Game Boy Advance Nintendo Classics app. Those who pay for the $49.99 per year upgraded version of the plan will be able to access all three.

The two Virtual Boys cover two different genres. Mario Clash is inspired by the first Mario Bros and involves moving between different layers via pipes as Mario to get through various stages. Meanwhile, Mario's Tennis is a more traditional take on tennis. After picking one of the seven playable characters, you'll go through single or doubles matches.

With Mario vs Donkey Kong, it's another action adventure with puzzle elements like the original and sequel. We control Mario as we go through stages, trying to find the key in each level to pursue DK and retrieve the Mini-Marios he's stolen.

Here's the full trailer highlighting all three Nintendo Switch Online Mario Day games.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection

Capcom's been big on game collections lately. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, Capcom Fighting Collection, Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, and Monster Hunter Stories Collection all qualify. Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is the next preservation effort, this time targeting seven DS games. After a few hours with it, it seems like a similar sort of approach to gathering games together as the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection.

As a quick refresher, Mega Man Star Force Legacy as a series follows a somewhat similar approach to Mega Man Battle Network, in that we're using cards/chips to determine attacks and there is a grid of sorts. However, this is much more active, as Geo Stelar uses EM-Wave changing to combine with Omega-Xis to become Mega Man and enter the Wave World to fight Wave Viruses and protect people. We have an over-the-shoulder perspective and face the enemies head-on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4FkNAmZy6M

For starters, Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection sets everything up in a very clear, easy to understand way. I'm not just referring to how the supplemental features, such as the art gallery and music player, are arranged so we can easily peruse the making-of materials. The organization of these games could get confusing if this compilation is someone's first encounter with them! I appreciated how well everything is set up and that we can see right away that Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon are the first entry, Zerker x Ninja and Zerker x Saurian are the second, and Black Ace and Red Joker are the third.

The structure of the games in the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is also handled in a way that offers some options when it comes to the way it displays. There are two layout options, with one involving an option to have the primary screen constantly displayed and the second one minimized and the other featuring both screens taking up equal space on-screen at once. While both have their merits, I think the first layout option is the optimal one. The second screen typically involved menus or supplemental information, so it didn't really feel like I always needed it there, and Capcom handled how it's brought up well. It's handled well, and in a way that all the information feels clear.

There's also the optional resolution filter. This cleans things up and smooths them out. It's akin to one found in Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. I appreciate the option. However, I do think the original looks better. Also, like the past Mega Man collection, the updated font and character portraits threw me. I didn't feel like they fit well with the rest of the tone of the game.

Aside from the new visual elements and display options, it felt like every Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection gameI tested out for a few hours ran well on the Switch. I spent some time with Dragon, Zerker x Ninja, and Black Ace. In each case, it felt like it was handled as well as the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. I didn't get to put the accessibility options through their paces, but the auto-save did come up quite a bit and proved helpful.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection feels like yet another step toward ensuring older Capcom games remain accessible. Every game in the series is here, and is organized in a way that makes it clear at a glance how they fit together. There are design documents and songs preserved. We also get options as to how we want to handle its visuals and display. Here's hoping the compilation's full experience also feels strong.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 27, 2026.

komeda's pokemon pokopia

A collaboration between Pokemon and Komeda's Coffee will begin in Japan on March 5, 2026. Ditto-inspired menu items will appear as part of the first part of this campaign. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The three menu items that will be part of this campaign are:

  • Mentaiko Ebikatsu Bread
  • Osatu Balls
  • Shiro-Noir Blueberry Fromage

All the items will have a little Ditto pick, making it seem like the Pokemon is hanging out with you while you're eating at Komeda's Coffee. We can see on the official website for the collaboration that the next batch of menu items will also feature picks, but of Pokemon like Dragonite and Drifloon.

Komaeda's Coffee Okagean will also have a special version of its shrimp tsuke-kishimen that will feature Ditto. If you order any of the above items during the collaboration period, you can receive a free charm that looks like a bag of sweets with pictures of Ditto and a pal on it. There are four variations, and you won't be able to choose which one you want.

At the store, you'll also be able to buy a container that resembles a miniature round reusable bottle from Komeda's. It features Pokemon like Ditto, Lapras, and Squirtle, and it comes with a light purple lid. It's likely that the plastic isn't food-safe, as Komeda's warns that this container isn't usable as a bottle. You can use it to hold items like pens, collectibles, and more. The container will cost 2000 JPY, which converts to $12.75.

Pokemon Pokopia will come out on March 5, 2026 for the Switch 2. That's also when the Pokemon collaboration at Komeda's Coffee in Japan will start. The second half, which will feature new menu items and picks, will start on April 9, 2026.

Marathon promotional image

Less than 24 hours are left for Marathon to go live across PC and consoles, and this guide will help you keep track.

The release comes right after the end of the recent Server Slam that served as an open beta for all. While you can pre-download the files in advance, the servers go live at the same time. Let's find out when you can jump into Tau Ceti IV upon launch.

What's the release date for Marathon?

Marathon will officially launch on Thursday, March 5, across all platforms. The following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

[hurrytimer id="1188071"]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 10am PT
  • 12pm CT
  • 1pm ET
  • 6pm UTC
  • 7pm CET

The timings are based on the official information from Bungie. While Marathon will be released on consoles, there are no regional timings. The servers open up at the same time, and hence, there's no way to use the New Zealand method to start playing early.

What to expect from Marathon

Thanks to the Server Slam, we have a fair idea of what to expect from Marathon when it goes live on March 5. The release also marks the start of Season 1, which will see the arrival of three different zones, weapons, mods, and more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckI_m8bbXfw

At launch, we will have six Runner shells to enjoy, which include the previously-locked Thief. There will be six different factions that will offer unique upgrades, sponsored kits, armors, and more. March 5 also marks the launch of the Ranked season that will have its own unique set of contracts, challenges, and more.

With plenty on offer, you can currently pre-order Marathon on your preferred platform. Doing so will allow you to pre-download all the required files.

Sailing the seas in Black Flag

The Assassin's Creed franchise isn't going anywhere any time soon, according to Ubisoft, which revealed and re-confirmed a slew of titles on the way.

Up first, Ubisoft confirmed its long-rumored plans of an Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag remake: it's real, and it's called Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced. The company even debuted a first look, which can be seen below:

No further details about the remake were revealed, but there were several other announcements on the franchise, including Codename HEXE, which is the next big main entry in the series. Ubisoft describes it as "a unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin's Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history."

"We are taking the time to deliver on its ambitious vision, which means we'll be quiet for a little longer, but we love seeing all the enthusiasm happening on our channels and can't wait to unveil more when the time is right," said Jean Guesdon, Head of Content for Assassin's Creed.

But that's not all. On top of Assassin's Creed Jade (still in development after being announced years ago), Ubisoft also confirmed it's still at work on Codename INVICTUS, "a PvP multiplayer Assassin's Creed experience led by a dedicated team of For Honor veterans at Ubisoft Montreal."

"We understand there's a lot of curiosity around this project: yes, it's a new approach to multiplayer in the franchise, but it isn't quite what the rumors have suggested," Guesdon said. "With player feedback at the heart of our approach, we're exploring ways to bring the community in earlier so we can shape the experience together. The team is incredibly passionate about what they're building, and their work reflects our broader goal of offering a wider variety of experiences within the Assassin's Creed universe."

I personally fell off of the Assassin's Creed train a while ago. I think the last game I fully played was Black Flag, so that remake is cool to see. But it sounds like a lot of stuff is still ongoing with lots of work, including the Netflix live action series.

Are you excited for any of the Assassin's Creed plans Ubisoft revealed? Let us know in the comments.

    Frost, or Shock effects.

    • First Upgrade: Can also trigger Graviton, Mortar, Shrapnel, and Neuro-
      Disruption effects.
    • Final Upgrade: Enemies hit by Chaos Rounds have a chance to trigger a
random Chaos Round on nearby enemies.

  • Frost Vortex: Bullets have a chance to create a Snowstorm that pulls in enemies.

    • First Upgrade: Applies Frost to normal enemies in the Snowstorm.
    • Final Upgrade: Also applies Frost to Special and Elite enemies in the

BO7 Zombies Paradox Junction

Black Ops 7's midseason update for season two is bringing a new map with its own main quest, and it's a familiar territory.

After the events of the previous map, the Zombies crew has been taken prisoner by the Warden and have to fight their way out. Luckily for us, it's a very familiar location: a sort of twist with multiversal, temporal versions of the classic Nuketown.

Check out all of the info we have so far on BO7's newest Zombies experience, Paradox Junction.

New map: Paradox Junction

The new Zombies map is a combination of multiple Nuketown variants, where the crew will be teleporting from the past, present, and potential future versions as they've been imprisoned there by the Warden.

"After the initial terror and bewilderment subsides, Paradox Junction seems to be a purgatorial pitstop where the Warden's influence is strong enough to extend outward, manipulating time itself," Activision described. "Secrets of the past and portents of the future combine into two variants of the same hellscape."

The map will feature new additions like randomized Perk locations, a main Easter Egg quest, Cursed Mode, and new Pack-a-Punch camos to unlock.

New enemy: Rad-Hound

Explosive zombie doggies are the new enemy type to deal with in Paradox Junction, "as vicious as they are explosive."

"Bulging with irradiated innards, these foul minions of The Warden can be quelled with quick thinking and rapid firing, but they leave behind a dangerous radioactive explosion on death," Activision said.

New Wonder Weapon: Blundergat

BO7 Zombies Blundergat
Image via Activision

First seen in Mob of the Dead in Black Ops 2, this four-barrel shotgun is the tool you'll want to bring with you in Paradox Junction when it comes to shredding the undead.

"In its initial form, the Blundergat rips the undead apart with uncanny ease," Activision said. "In its entirely new upgraded 'Sundergat' form, the Wonder Weapon's projectiles become so potent, this otherworldly blunderbuss can blast the 'souls' right out of enemies."

Events and challenges

New limited time events and weekly challenges will bring numerous free unlocks throughout the end of season two, including new GobbleGums, charms, emblems, weapon camos, and more.

FC 26 1.5.0 patch notes

EA Sports has announced the patch notes for FC 26 Title Update v1.5.0, and it will feature plenty of gameplay changes.

A core set of changes in this patch concerns how passing works in the game. Some of the passing options have been buffed, while other areas have been nerfed to bring more playstyles between stats and playstyles.

Let's quickly run through the important changes coming soon in the upcoming patch across all platforms.

Complete FC 26 Title Update v1.5.0 patch notes

The biggest focus of this patch appears to be on general gameplay that has been based on Discord feedback.

Passing

  • Improved accuracy and speed of ground passing, with the impact being most noticeable on players with higher passing attributes.
  • Added the ability for players without the Incisive Pass PlayStyle but with high attributes in Short Pass, Long Pass, and Curve to contextually curve through balls.
  • Reduced the accuracy of lofted passes that are performed by double-tapping the through/ground pass buttons.
  • Improved the trajectory of Power Shots to increase the potential of scoring from longer ranges.
  • Increased Power Shot accuracy when taken with the Power Shot PlayStyle and PlayStyle+.
  • Tuned Chip Shots to be less likely to go wide.
  • Increased accuracy of Chip Shots.
  • Reduced accuracy of ground and first-time passes for players with Tiki Taka PlayStyle.
  • Ground passes performed with Tiki Taka will still benefit from the overall improvements in accuracy and speed.
  • The accuracy of lofted ground and through passes using the Inventive PlayStyle and Inventive PlayStyle+ has been slightly increased.
  • Increased the speed of Fake Shot, Heel Chop, and Feint and Exit by 5%.
  • Addressed an issue where attacking players could remain stationary after repositioning

Version 1.5.0 also has changes for Clubs and Career modes, and you can read about them here. It will be interesting to see how the changes will shape the new meta in FC 26 ahead of major promos like FUT Birthday and TOTS (later in the summer).

A player dressed in a heart cardigan and pink skirt holding a gold shovel and standing next to tramp in disney dreamlight valley

Tramp has found something interesting while digging around the village, leading him to seek your help in a larger mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Canine Archaeology quest tasks you with uncovering several hidden pieces of a lost statue.

Since this quest is focused on recovering lost items, it's essentially a scavenger hunt with a few other side tasks. This makes it fairly tricky to get done, so if you're having trouble with any part of it, here's a complete walkthrough for the Canine Archaeology quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to complete Canine Archaeology in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Canine Archaeology quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

Follow Tramp to the mysterious buried object on the Sunlit Plateau

To kick off the quest, follow Tramp to the Sunlit Plateau biome to find the buried item he sniffed out. To make pinpointing the right spot easier here, equip the Substitute Snout you previously made during The Jailbreak quest. Look for a purple smoke cloud, which will be located close to the Vitalys Mines entrance, right under the waterfall at the north end of the river that runs through this biome.

Dig out and pick up the mysterious buried object

Once you find the spot marked by a purple cloud, equip your Royal Shovel. Use it to dig out and pick up the buried object in the sparkling dig spot right under the cloud of smoke. Then, talk to Tramp about what you found and where to go searching next.

Follow Tramp to the next piece of the statue

With the first piece of the mysterious broken item that Tramp has sniffed out, start following him again to track down the next one. If you lose sight of him at any point, head to Dazzle Beach to find him, as this is where he'll be leading you. Meet up with him by the entrance to Skull Rock Island.

Fish the object out of the water on Dazzle Beach

Equip your Royal Fishing Rod and toss it into the nearby golden ripple spot to fish the object out of the water. There might be a few gold spots around the island, so it may take a few tries to find the right one.

Dirty Statue Pedestal in disney dreamlight valley
Screenshot by Destructoid

While some other quests that involve fishing have the item sticking up out of the ripple spot, like the Shiny Tomatoes you need to unlock Pluto, this is not the case here, so it takes a bit of trial and error to find the right one.

You'll know you found the right fishing spot when you catch a Dirty Statue Pedestal. Once you have it in your inventory, chat with Tramp, who should be hanging out nearby, to progress to the next step.

Talk to Nala about the missing statue pieces

To learn more about these mysterious statue pieces you've been uncovering with Tramp, track down Nala around the valley and talk to her to see what she knows. Then, find Tramp again to continue.

Follow Tramp

Tramp's ready to go again, so follow him to the next location. This time around, he leads you to the Forgotten Lands biome. It's pretty easy to lose him during this part of the quest, so if you do, make your way to the small pond near the northwest corner of the Forgotten Lands biome. Once you're there, chat with Tramp to formulate a plan for what to do next.

Tramp pond location in forgotten lands marked in disney dreamlight valley
Screenshot and remix by Destructoid

Chase away the Ravens from the final piece of the statue

From where you just chatted with Tramp, walk a few feet south to find three Ravens flying around another purple smoke cloud next to the treehouse that's stuck in place in this biome. Run at each one to clear them out of the way so you can access the final dig spot for this quest.

Dig up the final piece of the statue

Equip your trusty Royal Shovel and dig the sparkling spot underneath the purple smoke right in the middle of the area you just cleared the Ravens away from. You now have the third and final piece of the statue Tramp's been sniffing out, so it's time to get to work piecing them back together.

Visit Lady and Tramp's House

To get going with the reassembling, venture to Lady and Tramp's house. Like most homes around the valley, this one can be placed anywhere you like, whether it be in the main village, a Floating Island, or a DLC world. If you don't remember where you put it, check each map for a house icon with a purple circle around it, since their home will be marked with it when you reach this step. Head inside once you find it.

Assemble the pieces of the Lady and Tramp Statue

Screenshot by Destructoid

Inside their home, approach the bench under the window with green and blue curtains in the living room area. Interact with the sparkling spot on the ground right in front of it three times to place each piece of the statue you found. Talk to Tramp about it once you're done.

Talk to Cogsworth

The statue is looking a bit rough, sofind and talk to Cogsworth to see if he has any ideas for making it look better. Luckily, he does, and he gives you some helpful Metal Polish to make it shiny and new again.

Use the Metal Polish to clean up the Lady and Tramp Statue

Head back to Lady and Tramp's house, approach the statue you previously placed, and interact with it to use the Metal Polish. After this, it'll be restored to perfect condition. Talk to Tramp one last time to officially complete the Canine Archaeology quest.

If you're up for some additional missions after finishing this one, there are plenty of other tricky ones to tackle. Next, you might work on The Moose Hunt quest, finding all Mementos, the Portrait of a Lady quest, and finding Tramp's Bones.

Lana and Anwa in Planet of Lana 2

Discover the past in Planet of Lana 2 to secure your uncertain future as Lana and Mui's adventure continues. This time, we're travelling further than we've ever been before.

Planet of Lana has progressed naturally from a story about hope and resilience against a technological force that threatens civilization, to humanity's destructive tendencies against nature, utilizing the very threat we feared. It demonstrates our greed and innate desire to invade and lay waste to our surroundings. We take, we leave. Tensions are brewing, and the cost of community, belonging, and having a place to call home lies in the balance for Lana's family.

While the demo wasn't particularly newcomer-friendly, the full title offers a welcoming recap of the first game. It's the only instance of clear-cut communication as Planet of Lana uses a made-up language. This means anyone can play the sequel without feeling like they've missed out.

Fantastic storytelling that feels like natural progression

Mui reaching out and placing her hand on a mural of parents holding a toddler
Screenshot by Destructoid

The repetition of words and emotive body language from our characters grants us a basic understanding of what's going on, aided by the soundtrack that (much like films and TV shows) manipulates you into connecting and feeling strongly for what are mere pixels. Though the story is meant to be open to interpretation, it's clear this tale is about the destruction of nature and how one person's goal can cause conflict and suffering for others.

Its story will always be relevant as technology threatens our own reality. Sure, we've seen greed and deforestation in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Fern Gully, Avatar, even Mickey 17, but there's always a place and a voice for messages that focus on the importance of conservation.

A question remained at the back of my mind while playing, one which wasn't present in the original: Where are all the adults, and why is a child sent out on suicide missions when someone else could do it? Planet of Lana's plot made sense because everyone else was taken. Here...not so much. It's a bit of a nitpick, but it lessened the realism and made the story feel all the more fantastical. I felt like San from Princess Mononoke or Nausicaä while playing. The stunning visuals, blatant message against deforestation and technology, and reference to the legendary Forest Spirit will do that to a person.

  • Child's drawing of Ilo, Mui, Anwa, Lana, and Rakuen
  • Dirty child's drawing of Ilo, Mui, Anwa, Lana, and Rakuen

Not only is Planet of Lana 2 beautiful, but it has fantastic attention to detail. One aspect in particular demonstrated the care that has gone into this title: the child's drawing, which gets dirtier the further Lana travels. This visual symbolizes her ongoing struggle and her determination; a reminder of what she's fighting for and to never give up.

Nature is alive and delivering its message

The art direction remains as beautiful as ever, and the soundtrack is absolutely stunning, carrying the weight of each chapter. The visuals and score add character, create dimension, and offer a distinct voice to Novo. Together, they craft a meaningful cinematic experience. Impact lands in its gorgeous imagery that harmonizes with the sublime orchestral score. Cinematic moments are achieved with no dialogue; similar to INSIDE, LIMBO, Shadow of the Colossus, and Somerville. And just like them, it's impressive to capture so many emotions with so few words.

Christopher Nolan could never. Video by Destructoid.

Taking me roughly six hours to beat, Planet of Lana 2 greatly expands on its gameplay without straying from the original. Puzzles are stimulating, challenging, and satisfying to solve. Nothing is ever handed to you, meaning you can take as long as you need. There's zero pressure and no hand-holding, making it feel like a callback to platformer classics (e.g., Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Rayman). Solutions often click into place in satisfying eureka moments. Any repetitiveness is broken-up with the introduction of new terrains and mechanics that offer learning curves throughout a chapter. This is a must for the genre, and it was the original's main weakness.

We're cooking. Video by Destructoid

At times, Planet of Lana 2 felt more like a game of trial and error. This can get tiresome if you're stuck in the same spot because of the finicky controls. The sequel isn't as streamlined as I would have liked, as I often had to repeat a section just because Lana didn't jump at the precise moment. I thought I was playing as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Anniversary at one point. Some sections last way longer than they should have, dragged out by the clunky controls that forced me to vault or climb when the path could have been a straight shot into action.

Lana's growth is clear in her attitude and increased physical abilities to climb and wall jump. It's a natural progression for her character that also upgrades the sequel's gameplay. This, alongside Mui's innovative abilities add layers to the puzzle-platforming that the original didn't have. Each puzzle was creative and a pleasure to work out. Mui's newfound importance made Planet of Lana 2 feel like a modern take on a classic.

The level design is overall great, but sometimes it's unnecessarily complex and so focused on delivering realism that a puzzle appears more complicated than it actually is. I ran into this issue only twice, but it set me back longer than I would have liked. Now, this may be a skill issue...or it's my brain overcomplicating puzzles.

The balancing act of pacing

The entire plot basically boils down to three fetch quests. Now, I am no fan of this exhausted plot device and am frankly sick of them. I can't explain it, but Planet of Lana 2 was a delight to play through, even though I've seen this done time and time again. I think it's because, though the core of the game remained the same throughout, Mui's ever-changing mechanics offered an exciting reason to keep playing. There was a balance between stealth and action against stimulating puzzles and cinematic moments that breathed to let the scenery do the talking.

Rakuen's aircraft fleeing from the enemies'

Planet of Lana had a gradual build towards its epic climax. The sequel included slower moments to deliver backstory, calm the pacing, and then speed up with big moments full of emotion and action. It's a rollercoaster that fits the theme of destruction, hope, and uncertainty for the future, rather than a cozy road trip through nature; though the pacing slightly falters thanks to slow loading screens.

Painting of robots and humans holding hands, worshipping their ship's spherical AI system

Without spoiling, the ending very much sets up a sequel. While I applauded as the credits rolled, the cliffhanger conclusion could be viewed as a negative for cheating its fans. Using this plot device can feel manipulative as you're forced to wait for a sequel that (like with any franchise) is not guaranteed to arrive. This is very different from the original, which was a complete product that opened the possibility for a sequel, but didn't guarantee it.

Planet of Lana 2 offered exactly what I wanted from a puzzle-platformer that engages on both an intellectual and emotional level. It's an upgrade from the first game and one I'd highly recommend to any puzzle-platforming fan.

Princess Theradras, the Final Boss of the Maraudon Dungeon in World of Warcraft

There are plenty of resources to get in WoW Midnight, and Brimming Arcana is one of the more important ones to find.

Required for different uses in the Eversong Woods zone, there are various ways to farm this resource. Knowing all the available methods will allow you to farm properly and ensure that you're not letting any chance go to waste.

How to farm Brimming Arcana in WoW Midnight

To get Brimming Arcana, you'll have to complete quests associated with Saltheril's Soiree. This weekly event takes place in Eversong Woods. To begin the quest, you have to grind and reach level 90. Once you're of the required level, you can access the Saltheri's Haven priority quest in Silvermoon City.

Next, you'll have to reach Lord Saltheril's area in Fairbreeze Village. First, complete the Honored Guests quest, followed by the High Esteem quest. Once you complete both, you'll unlock the Fortify The Runestones and Favor of the Court weekly quests.

Soiree in WoW Midnight
Image via Blizzard

To begin, pick a subfaction and support them for a week. You'll gain reputation and other rewards by completing Foritfy the Runestones. The quest involves taking on void enemies and protecting the Runestone in Fairbreeze Village. Doing so successfully will get you plenty of rewards, which include 150 Brimming Arcana.

But that's not all. Favor of the Court grants you three Saltheril's Favor tokens. You can give these tokens to any faction and get weekly quests from them. Once you complete these quests, you'll get 30 Brimming Arcana, 25 Latent Arcana, and other rewards like Coffer Key Shards and reputation for your chosen subfaction. These quests (you can do up to three every week) will help you get plenty of Brimming Arcana.

As of writing, there are no other ways to farm Brimming Arcana. As you get more rewards, you'll unlock more rewards from the vendors (that originally remain locked behind higher ranks). However, you should eventually reach that point if you follow the instructions that I have added above to this guide.

Players fighting enemies in Slay The Spire 2

Slay The Spire 2 is coming soon, and its release date is closer than you might anticipate.

Earlier on Feb. 19, Mega Crit revealed the official trailer for the game and also announced the release date. Up until now, we knew that the game would be released on early access in March. Thankfully, we have the official date, and this guide will help you keep track of the upcoming launch.

Slay The Spire 2 release countdown

Slay The Spire 2 will release in early access on Thursday, March. 5. The release date was confirmed earlier tonight, and the following countdown will expire once the game goes live.

[hurrytimer id="1181658"]

The countdown is based on the following timings.

  • 10am PT
  • 12pm CT
  • 1pm ET
  • 6pm UTC
  • 7pm CET

The timings mentioned here are based on the information available on SteamDB. This information is updated as of March 4, so it's unlikely that there will be anymore changes prior to the game's launch tomorrow.

What to expect from Slay The Spire 2

Slay The Spire 2 marks the return of the roguelike deckbuilder in a new form, as the Spire has awakened after 1,000 years and poses a new threat. Just like the Spire has evolved, so has your ability to move up the towers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW22jwFNxU8

The key objective remains the same, as you have to move up the Spire by defeating different enemies with your own cards, abilities, and more. No two climbs will be the same, as you'll have to constantly evolve your deck and strategies as per the enemies in front of you.

There's a whole cast of returning and new characters with five different options available for you to pick from. Every character will have a unique playstyle, and you can improve them further on your run.

There's one huge change as you no longer have to play alone. You can choose to climb the Spire on your own, or you can partner with up to three other players in the new co-op mode. Since Slay The Spire 2 will release in early access, expect to find plenty of new features that will be added down the line as future updates.

Standing with Lady and Tramp eating spaghetti in disney dreamlight valley

The Paw-fect Romance Star Path event has quite a few tasks that mention a spicy spaghetti dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Unfortunately, you're not told what this actually is, which can make working through them fairly difficult.

There are hundreds of recipes you can unlock, and even more if you have any additional expansions downloaded, so finding the right one for these tasks is rather tricky. If any of them have you stumped, here's what a spicy spaghetti dish is in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

A spicy spaghetti dish is Spaghetti Arrabbiata in DDV. There may be other dishes that technically match this description, but for the purposes of all Paw-fect Romance Star Path event tasks that mention a spicy spaghetti dish, only Spaghetti Arrabbiata counts.

Spicy spaghetti dish recipe in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To cook a spicy spaghetti dish, you'll first need to know the recipe for this dish. Spaghetti Arrabbiata is a three-star meal, which means it calls for three unique ingredients:

  • One Tomato – Grown from Tomato Seeds. Tomato Seeds can be bought from Goofy's Stall at Dazzle Beach. They cost eight Star Coins per bag and take 25 minutes to grow when planted. If you plant them in their native beach biome, they take a bit over 22 minutes to grow instead.
  • One Wheat – Grown from Wheat Seeds. These seeds can be bought from Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow biome. Each bag costs just one Star Coin. With the A Rift in Time DLC installed, you can also find these seeds at the stall in Ancient's Landing. Wheat takes one minute to grow, or closer to about 55 seconds if planted in the Peaceful Meadow.
  • One Chili Pepper – Grown from Chili Pepper Seeds. Chili Pepper Seeds can be purchased from Goofy's Stall in the Sunlit Plateau biome. They cost 20 Star Coins per bag. If you have the A Rift in Time DLC installed, they're also available at his shop in the Glittering Dunes area. Chili Peppers take 45 minutes to grow, or slightly over 40 minutes if planted in the Sunlit Plateau.

How to eat a spicy spaghetti dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the eat a spicy spaghetti dish task, you need to consume one Spaghetti Arrabbiata. This can be done by cooking the recipe, opening your inventory, and clicking on the cooked meal. Eating it grants a hearty boost that either helps fill up your energy bar or exceeds it to grant you extra momentum, allowing you to glide around the village. This task also gets you 25 Tokens to spend in the Paw-fect Romance Star Path event.

How to gift a spicy spaghetti dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley

For the gift a spicy spaghetti dish duty, you need to give two Spaghetti Arrabbiata away as gifts to valley residents. Approach any villager, interact with them, and select the "I have something to give you!" option to hand over a gift. You can give two of them to the same villager, or instead give one to two different ones. How you choose to break this task up doesn't matter as long as the end result is that you give two away. Completing this task gets you 25 Tokens for the special event.

How to sell a spicy spaghetti dish in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To complete the sell a spicy spaghetti dish task, you must sell two Spaghetti Arrabbiata. This can be done by cooking up two of this dish, visiting any of Goofy's Stalls around the main village or DLC worlds, and selling them to him for some Star Coins. You get to claim a whopping 50 Tokens for this task, which is a superb prize for how easy it is to get done once you know what this duty is asking.

The Star Path event has plenty of other tricky missions you can check off if you're seeking additional Tokens to spend in it. Next, you might consider working on buying spicy seedsbuying seeds to grow a key pasta sauce ingredient, and buying seeds that can be turned into pasta.

how to get stand awakening in bizzare lineage

Your Stand Awakening is essentially a damage boost state that allows you to perform your Stand's ultimate move. While the unlock process is simple on paper, it'll require a lot of grinding. Here's how to get Stand Awakening in Bizzare Lineage.

How to Get Stand Awakening in Bizzare Lineage

bizzare lineage stand awakening quest guide
Farm The Self mini-boss for Conjuration 100

To unlock your Stand Awakening in Bizzare Lineage you have to do the following steps:

  • Go to any bus station and take a bus to Bus Station 2.
  • Turn around and go inside the Gym behind the Jotaro NPC.
  • Go to any Yoga Mat and hold E to Meditate (Some Mats are inactive so keep checking for the one you can interact with).
  • You'll spawn in a special area where you can talk to The Self which is a copy of you.
  • Select the "I want to surpass my limits" option (Requires Level 50 & Stand Conjuration 100).

This will start the Stand Awakening questline. Upon completing it you will receive both the Awakening and the Ultimate move for your current stand. Activate your Awakening state with H and then while in this state you can perform the Ultimate move with H. Let me give you some tips for the questline.

Conjuration Farming: This Inner World that you access via the Yoga Mat in the Gym is the best way to farm Conjuration for your Stand by fighting yourself using the option "Yes" when interacting with The Self.

Stand Awakening Quest Guide

Here are some tips for finishing the questline:

  • Stand Awakening I:

    • Dio Raid: Go to Bus Stop 18 and enter the gate to the graveyard. Make a left to the cave before you enter the castle. Once through the cave go right to the castle/chapel and you'll find the Dio Raid NPC at the far end of the chapel. For the boss, keep jumping and moving to avoid his hitscan attacks.
    • Kira Raid: Go to Bus Stop 1 and head towards the Rengatei caffe where you can find the Kira Raid NPC across the road to the right. For the Kira boss, make sure to dodge when you start glowing red to avoid the high-damage attack. Spam White Snake Revolver for regular enemies.
    • Jotaro Raid: Go to Bus Stop 2 and go left past the Jotaro NPC around the gym building on the left side where you can find the Jotaro Raid NPC. An easy 1v1 boss that's very solo-able.

  • Stand Awakening II: For the World Events part you can go to Bus Station 1 where WEs spawn every 30 minutes - If you want to speed up the process with a little cheesy tactic you can use a private server and then AFK loop in WEs with an alt account to farm.
  • Stand Awakening III: The defeat The Self part is 13 easy mini-boss fights in the meditation realm via Yoga Mats at the Gym (BS2) that you can easily do alone - This is also the best way to farm Conjuration.
  • Boss: At the end of the questline you'll fight the boss to unlock the Awakening for your current stand. Note that if you switch stands, you'll have to fight this same boss again to unlock the Awakening for that stand.

Once you unlock your Stand Awakening you can activate it using H and then press H again for your ultimate move. Note that some stands might not have a Stand Awakening yet. That's it and for more Bizzare Lineage guides check out our full list of Perks and Personalities and how to get/reroll them.

Train set in phasmophobia

The many locations you can explore in Phasmophobia hide all kinds of secrets waiting to be uncovered. One such secret is the train set, a fun, interactive feature for both you and the ghost that can only be found on one map.

The train set is one of the coolest map features you'll encounter while investigating, but figuring out how it works can be tricky. There are a couple of unique controls you'll have to get used to if you want to make it work or shut it off after the ghost messes with it, so here's how to turn on and use the train in Phasmophobia.

Where to find the train set in Phasmophobia

Screenshot by Destructoid

The train set can be found in the basement at 6 Tanglewood Drive. It's fully interactive, with some fun features you can toggle on and off. The ghost that's haunting your contract can also mess with it, so if you hear any odd noises while investigating, be sure to check out this area in case it happens to be the ghost's favorite room.

To find the basement on this map, enter the front door, walk down the main hallway, and stop right before you reach the living room. Turn right and walk forward a few feet before turning left through the next door you spot. Head down the stairs to find the basement. The train set takes up most of the room, so it's easy to spot once you're in the right region.

What does the train do in Phasmophobia?

You might be curious if there's any larger Easter egg, secret, or puzzle tied to the train at 6 Tanglewood Drive, but unfortunately, it's purely a fun interactive element you or the ghost can mess with while playing on this map.

How to turn on the train in Phasmophobia

The train can be turned on by activating the second button sitting on the table at the end of it. For the train controls to work, the power must be on, so make sure you find and turn on the fuse box if it's off. There are a couple of fuse box spawn locations around 6 Tanglewood Drive, so it might take you a bit to track them down.

All train controls in Phasmophobia

Screenshot and remix by Destructoid

There are four train controls you can find and interact with, all of which are located on a table near the back end of the train set, close to the back wall in the basement. Here's what each one does.

  • The first button causes the train whistle to go off.
  • The second button turns the train on, causing it to start driving around the track in a loop.
  • The third button causes smoke to blow out of the train.
  • The fourth button turns on the lights in the tiny village surrounding the train.

There's plenty more to uncover around 6 Tanglewood Drive after interacting with the train set. Next, you may want to learn all 6 Tanglewood Drive rework Cursed Possession locations and how to complete the Entangled Terror challenge.

The One Adventurous quest is a fun side activity to complete in WoW Midnight, and you can get the Hawkstrider Hatchling pet after doing the task.

While the quest in itself is pretty simple, it doesn't activate on its own. Moreover, it will be helpful if you know what needs to be done to get your rewards. Let's find out how you get your own pet in WoW Midnight.

WoW Midnight One Adventurous Hatchling walkthrough

To start the quest, you'll need to head to the Eversong Woods zone. Before that, you have to complete Eversong in Reprise achievement. You finish the achievement once you complete the main scenario quests in the Eversong Woods zone. Getting the achievement isn't that hard; it's more a matter of how long it will take.

You'll also need to be at level 80 or higher and then complete the required quests. Head to the following coordinates (56.8, 35.6) and speak with Vaelith Sunplume.

Then, pick up and complete the following quests:

  • A Hungry Flock
  • One Adventurous Hatchling
  • A Roos-ed Development

All the quests are easy to complete. To complete A Hungry Flock, farm the nearby lake and kill Gloombelly Toads to get six Frog Legs. Then, follow the quest marker for the One Adventurous Hatchling, and you'll find the Hatchling on a table. Interact with it to send it to your home.

Finally, A Roost-ed Development requires you to farm Golden Sunleaf in the lake (same area where you slay the toads). You'll find highlighted plants in the location, so you'll know what to pluck.

Once the three quests are done, return to Vaelith Sunplume to get the First Step into Parenthood, which rewards you with 250 Silvermoon Court rep, a Hawkstrider Egg, and progress around the One Adventurous Hatchling quest.

Getting the Hawkstrider Egg is key; once done, you have to wait for 24 hours. Interact with the egg after 24 hours have passed, and you'll get your Hawkstrider Hatchling pet.

A ghost trapped in a summoning circle in a basement at 6 tanglewood drive in phasmophobia

Following the remodel of 6 Tanglewood Drive in Phasmophobia, a new trial focused on exploring this location was added to the event board. The Entangled Terror challenge asks you to spend many investigations at this one location.

This special trial is designed to be a tough one with a lofty goal that will likely take you a long time to work through. It does come with an exclusive reward, though, so it's certainly worth tackling. Here's how to complete the Entangled Horror challenge in Phasmophobia.

How to get the Entangled Terror ID Card and Badge in Phasmophobia

Screenshot by Destructoid

To finish the Entangled Horror challenge, you need to have 50 successful investigations while exploring the 6 Tanglewood Drive map. There are a few specific goals that must be met to officially earn the prizes that come with completing it.

  • Play at 6 Tanglewood Drive.
  • Correctly identify the ghost.
  • Survive until the end of the contract.
  • Repeat this process 50 times.

This challenge was added in the March 3, 2026, update, so any investigations you had prior to this date around 6 Tanglewood Drive won't count. Instead, you must embark on fresh investigations to make progress.

Phasmophobia Entangled Terror challenge tips

The Entangled Terror challenge is tough by design, so working through it can be a tricky endeavor. If you're struggling to make progress, here are the best tips you can use to make this process easier to navigate.

Spend time learning the map

Holding a lighter and standing by a train set in basement in phasmophobia
Screenshot by Destructoid

Ghost hunting is so much easier when you're familiar with the location you're exploring, so start by spending some time learning the map layout for 6 Tanglewood Drive. I recommend creating a custom match with the friendly ghost option turned on to freely explore this location without the ghost trying to hunt you down.

Play with friends

Every ghost hunt is much easier with allies at your side, so try tackling this challenge with friends. Working with other ghost hunters helps you cover more ground quickly, test out more equipment early on, and ensures you have multiple investigators watching and listening for clues.

Rely on hard evidence

When possible, you should always rely on hard evidence rather than unofficial behaviors or signs. This is the only way to guarantee with certainty that you guess the ghost right. If you check off a ghost without all three pieces of evidence gathered, you may be wrong, which will result in the round not counting at all for the Entangled Terror trial. For the purposes of this challenge, you should always try to play it safe and get all three official pieces of evidence before leaving.

Try out some Cursed Possessions

Although they're quite dangerous, Cursed Items are also extremely powerful, so if you're ever struggling to get the evidence you need, consider using one of the Cursed Objects around 6 Tanglewood Drive. Exercise caution when doing so, and generally try to stick to the somewhat safer ones that are guaranteed to give you useful information, like the Ouija Board and Haunted Mirror.

Take your time

The Entangled Terror challenge is permanent, so take your time with it and don't worry about getting it done quickly. It's meant to be more of a long-term goal you slowly chip away at rather than one you work through in a few days.

Entangled Terror challenge reward in Phasmophobia

Successfully finishing the Entangled Terror challenge unlocks the Suburbanite ID Card and Badge as a reward. This is a set of excsuive cosmetic items you can apply to your namecard. They can only be unlocked through this trial, so you must fully complete it to get them.

Entangled Terror ID Card and Badge appearance in Phasmophobia

The Suburbanite ID Card and Badge feature the exterior of the 6 Tanglewood Drive map for the overall ID Card background and a small gnome for the Badge slot. It also has the Suburbanite title at the top.

If you're up for more trials, there are plenty of other ones you can check off next. Some good ones to focus on are Farmhouse Fieldwork, the weekly challenge mode, and facing Blood Moon weather.
