Crimson Desert appears to be changing quicker than a musical theatre actor that has 90 seconds to put on a new outfit before their next number is up. A new update arrived in the action RPG earlier today, bringing with it nothing particularly revolutionary, but several tweaks that'll probably make you say something to the effect of "oh nice, that'll be handy."

FromSoftware has an obvious penchant for secrets, their games are just littered with them. This is probably best exemplified in Elden Ring for the simple fact that the game is unapproachably massive, you're more than likely to find at least one secret somewhere along the line even just by accident. And four years on, the secrets continue to manifest, albeit on this occasion thanks to known FromSoft dataminer Lance McDonald, who's managed to uncover a cutscene involving Miquella. You know, that guy that Malenia mentions almost every time she kills you, and also features prominently in Shadow of the Erdtree.

I am not going to drudge up the half decomposed discourse around whether games are art or not. They most certainly offer up a huge range of experiences that other mediums do not. Experiences that wrench the heart, that cause tears of joy, that get you to rethink your very existence, that cover that period in time where developers started having kids and birthed the dad game. And then there is Horse Magnifier. A game where you magnify horses. A game that I like quite a lot!

On and Off Work-Life Imbalance Handles Its Reveal Well

On and Off Work-Life Imbalance has, so far, been a heartening manga about people getting a chance to be true to themselves and end up accepted by others. The first few volumes handled this in certain ways that highlighted a pair of coworkers, Hanku and Amata, whose off-duty selves Aki and Kanade become friends even though they seem to appreciate different aesthetics. The second volume, however, ended with a cliffhanger that involved a reveal of their on and off work identities. Fortunately, the third volume of the On and Off Work-Life Imbalance manga handles this pretty perfectly and in a way that allows the two to keep supporting each other and perhaps become even happier in both of their "lives."

Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for the second and third volumes of the On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance manga below.

As a refresher, Hanku and Amata both work at the same company. She's known as being a bit cold, quiet, and efficient. He's seen as capable, open, and refreshing. In their off-time, she dresses in punk clothing and goes by Aki. He dresses in gorgeous Lolita-style outfits along the lines of Baby the Stars Shine Bright under the name Kanade. The first volume covered their accidental meeting, while the second looked more at their developing friendship and how Aki/Hanku's friend Tamotsu is a respectable, impeccably dressed teacher by day and punk outside of work. The tension came because of Amata/Kanade realizing Hanku is Aki by the end of that volume and admitting who he is.

Image via Square Enix

Here's why that's great! The first chapter of the third volume of the On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance manga preserves that tension. We see how scared Amata is. When he does, we get this great side-by-side, two-page spread of him in his work clothing and a gorgeous Kanade ensemble. All the while, Hanku is quiet, staring and taking it in. He even over-explains a bit, making it an anxious moment, so we can appreciate how difficult this is for him and step into his shoes during the confession. Then, it ends with us realizing that Hanku isn't being stoic and silent like that because she's judging him or doesn't approve. It's because she already knew. She's known for a while. And the reason she dropped hints, such as mentioning the name of a cat she'd seen with Amata both as Aki and Hanku as Little Mitsu, is because she did realize already and was sort of tipping him off so if he didn't know, he would.

Then from there, we get this fantastic heart-to-heart. Hanku perfectly alleviates all of Amata's concerns. She explains how she thinks his preferred style of off-work dress suits him. She completely and totally accepts who he is, in the same way he accepts her, and even starts to ask about planning their next outing to show that this revelation changes nothing. They have a relationship and bond.

Which means now we're getting to see the series focus more on that. Now that Hanku and Amata know about their alter egos, we see how this changes things. Except it doesn't really in many ways. Both Hanku and Amata seem happier at work following the reveal. They're both brighter and seem more comfortable, and it's so noticeable that others see that. They're still doing things together, and it seems like now they're closer than before because of that revelation and ensuing acceptance. So much so that Hanku trusts Amata to help her with an important task.

It also means hints about what will happen next for On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance. Initially, it seemed to just be a series about accepting yourself and finding people who get you. That and gorgeous outfit design. But now that Hanku and Amata know they're Aki and Kanade, there's another twist. It seems like Amata is starting to develop feelings for Hanku and that could be explored going forward.

In a way, I'm a little curious and concerned about that. On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance's execution and story meant that so far, we've seen both Hanku and Amata grow as individuals. We've seen the joy that comes from them meeting each other as Aki and Kanade. And in this volume, we see how beneficial revealing their identities is to their relationship and life in general. Now that there's a possible romantic element to it, I'm hoping to remains as positive a story.

Volumes 1-3 of On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance are available now, and Square Enix hasn't set a release date for the fourth volume yet.

Machina Knight boss in Crimson Desert

There are not many two-handed swords in Crimson Desert that are better than the Electro-Mecha Longsword, but obtaining it can be a true test. While most weapons are hidden behind secret locations, this Longsword requires you to defeat the Machina Knight.

Let's find out how you can defeat this boss and win the Electro-Mecha Longsword in the process.

Electro-Mecha Longsword location in Crimson Desert

The Machina Knight, who carries the weapon in discussion, is located at Marni's Outpost in northern Delesyia. This is a mid-game boss, and you should level up properly before attempting the boss fight. It will also take a fair amount of time for you to unlock Delesyia.

How to defeat the Machina Knight in Crimson Desert

The fight with Machina Knight lasts for two phases. The first phase is where the boss will use the Longsword to hit a three-hit combo. If you can time your parry, you'll break the combo. This is the best way to combat the first phase.

Once you break the combo, you'll need to quick attack to deal the damage. The windows you get in the first phase are pretty small. Use weapons that aren't slow to do more damage.

The second phase begins once the Machina Knight loses approximately 50% of its health, and it will now switch to a spear. In the second phase, the boss will be faster and deal more damage. This time, you'll need to dodge the incoming attacks. While you can parry spear attacks, it will consume a lot of stamina. Keep the parries for emergencies, and your primary aim should be to avoid the attacks altogether.

The Machina Knight also pushes out cubes that will do damage upon hit. You need to evade these cubes and land quick attacks by filling up their stun meter. Once the boss is stunned, you'll be able to deal damage to its remaining health. You'll get the Electro-Mecha Longsword once the boss is defeated.

Alec in Crimson Desert

Alec's Request is one of the several Greymane faction quests you can complete in Crimson Desert, and it involves catching a Leopard Perch. This is one of the more beginner-friendly tasks that can be unlocked pretty early in the game. While you'll ideally need a fishing rod for this task, you can also use your hands to catch the specific fish (in this case, it's the Leopard Perch).

Let's look at how to complete the request without much of a problem.

Crimson Desert Alec's Request quest walkthrough

Once you have unlocked your Greymane camp after Chapter 3, you can begin this quest. To begin the quest, you need to speak with Alex near the forge. He will tell you about a mistake he made in not letting Ronnie cook/grill fish using the same forge. Now, he wants to set it right, and for that, you have to catch a Leopard Perch for him, which will then be turned into a grilled fish.

Leopard Perch location in Crimson Desert
Image via Pearl Abyss

Thankfully, the location of the Perch will be marked. You'll ideally need a fishing pole to catch the fish. However, you can also attempt with your hand. You'll find Perches in the shallow water, but it's not guaranteed. If you're lucky, you could end up catching the fish in your first attempt.

Once you catch the fish, make sure to add it to your inventory. If you lose/sell the item, the quest will get stuck in a bug, and it will remain incomplete forever. Take the fish safely back to the camp and speak once again with Alec at the forge.

You'll then hand over the fish to him, which completes the quest. Not only do you get a few rewards for your efforts, but you also get +50 trust with the NPC.

On a side note, if you're interested in catching more fish in Crimson Desert, you should check out our guide. Fishing, in general, is one of the most lucrative activities to engage in the game.

BitLife Attack Titan challenge image

BitLife is full of random encounters, from making new friends to getting lucky and becoming famous after working a regular career. Early on in your character's life, you can join school clubs to improve your odds of landing certain jobs or immersing yourself in your playthrough.

Here's how you can join the Anime Club in BitLife.

How to find the Anime Club in BitLife

You can find the anime club as an activity in middle school, secondary school, and university by navigating to School, Activities, and scrolling through your options until you find the anime club. Since the list is sorted alphabetically, it should appear near the top if it's available.

However, every school activity list in BitLife is randomly generated. This means you're not guaranteed to find the anime club even if you use the Time Machine to travel back and forth in time or change schools. Since most clubs are sports-related, these miscellaneous options can feel especially rare.

BitLife anime club
Screenshot by Destructoid

While this isn't an issue if you're completing a challenge that only requires you to join a club regardless of your character's age, some have specific requirements. For example, the Attack Titan challenge asks you to join the anime club in secondary school. In this case, even if you see it as an option in university or early on in your playthrough, it won't matter, as you need to get lucky and find it while your character is in high school.

That said, here are some tips you can use to save time trying to find the anime club:

  • Change schools each year until you find the anime club. You can do this once a year, letting you refresh your activities list.
  • If you have BitLife's Time Machine, you can go back in time and attempt to change schools again to refresh the list a second time.
  • If your character is in university, drop out and re-enroll to refresh your club list.
  • Make a new character and age up again. Every character has a different activity list, so sometimes, this is your best option.

If you're trying to complete the Attack Titan challenge, you'll need to focus your attention on secondary school and change schools as often as possible. Otherwise, as long as you're careful not to graduate too early, you'll have to rely mostly on luck.

If you're trying to complete other challenges that require joining a club, be sure to check out how to join the investing club in BitLife for the Bro Athlete challenge.

Master Chief in Halo Infinite

Halo, as a franchise, hasn't been doing so well ever since Bungie upped and left it in Microsoft's hands to handle. As 343 Industries and later Halo Studios scrambled to keep the series running, it appears very disturbing things were going on behind the scenes, with strong allegations now leveled against Microsoft and Halo Studios executives.

Glenn Israel, former 343 Industries art director, shared a two-part post on LinkedIn yesterday where he alleged he and others at Halo Studios were direct targets of harassment and misconduct, five months after leaving the company.

Israel leveled strong claims against Microsoft and Halo Studios executives, as well as HR departments, whom he blames for being inert and not acting to safeguard employees from "multiple harassment campaigns," among other things.

In the two posts, Israel says that in 2024 and 2025, he witnessed and experienced extensive misconduct that allegedly had the aim of generating grounds for the removal of himself and other employees.

Halo has been in dire straits recently, and so has a good chunk of the industry. Image via Halo Studios

"I witnessed firsthand or was personally subjected to numerous unethical and/or unlawful acts committed by senior Halo Studios representatives, including (but not limited to) blacklisting, fraud, rampant favoritism/cronyism (manifesting as hiring- and career-growth interference), and multiple harassment campaigns designed to provoke the constructive discharge of 'unwanted' employees otherwise in good standing," Israel said.

He said that, after lodging a complaint, he was instead contacted by a senior Global Employee Relations staff member who threatened retaliation and killed any ongoing investigation.

"Senior Halo Studios representatives engaged in a four-day-long act of harassment intended to manufacture a cause for my termination in July 2025," he explained.

Furthermore, Israel claims HR was well aware of this whole ordeal but "failed to take any appropriate disruptive action during the act nor punitive action afterward." Halo Campaign Evolved saw "catastrophic mismanagement," Israel says, which had his whole art team "reassigned" while his role as director was made redundant in retaliation for the complaints.

Even cursory investigations were disallowed and not performed, according to Israel.

Israel's allegations extend beyond just Halo Studios and 343 Industries. He believes that Microsoft exploits layoffs as a way to get rid of good-standing employees "who have filed proper and effective complaints."

"Organizations and investigations within Microsoft's Human Resources umbrella are deliberately compartmentalized to obfuscate responsibility and create plausible deniability," he said.

The gaming industry is no stranger to such flagrant misconduct and harassment, unfortunately. A few years ago, Activision-Blizzard was reported to be fostering a toxic work culture (via BBC), one where sexual harassment and other forms of horrible misconduct were exceedingly common. Now, if what Israel says is true, we've got another megacorporate giant facing the same unwelcoming, top-down work dynamic that inevitably leads to worse games with devs getting most of the blame.

Miquella cutscene in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

Elden Ring is a treasure trove when it comes to lore, as are most of FromSoftware's newer games. For years now, especially with the addition of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, players have crafted incredible theories, some of which require extensive video essays to fully explore.

Now, four years after the game came out, a new, unused cutscene has been discovered that shows Miquella, Malenia's brother, planting the massive Haligtree where the Tarnished fights the latter. It was dug out of the game's files by Lance McDonald, a YouTuber specializing in data mining, who presented the cutscene to us in full for the very first time.

The cutscene was supposed to play after you gained a particular item from Gideon the All-Knowing, though there are missing files that prevent you from seeing it even if you do manage to break into this part of the game's cut content. However, McDonald somehow managed to reverse-engineer the thing and make it play the cutscene, which shows Miquella speaking in a mesmerizing, poetic language, commenting on the Haligtree and what is to become of it as he plants the seedling and feeds it his own blood.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSUR7sVi7DU
The cutscene has eluded players for nearly four years.

It gives us a different look at the relationship between Miquella and his twin sister and shows us, firsthand, how deeply he cared about her despite his apparent megalomaniacal and manipulative nature that we see in Shadow of the Erdtree. It's also a nice bit of lore, even if it isn't official, on how the Haligtree came into being, as well as why Malenia's arena is where it is, since it corresponds to the exact place where Miquella placed the seedling.

A part of the unused cutscene did later make it into the official game, though only as a single shot. Still, there is a lot to unpack in what Miquella is saying, and players are already predicting that we're going to see hours-long video essays explaining the lore and the context of this melancholic scene. Honestly, I'm willing to dive in and listen to one of such essays, as this piece of cut content reminded me of just how good the lore and story for Elden Ring are, even if I'm not the base game's biggest fan (adore SotE, though).

"The two-hour lore videos on YouTube based on this one scene are going to be incredible," one player said in a Reddit thread. "I for one am hyped," another replied, and I personally agree.

Some others lament that this cutscene was never used, even though it doesn't provide too much information about Miquella as a character. "It's more unfortunate for the fact that we really didn't get much else about him in the DLC, just the one cutscene after the final boss," explains one player, adding that it would've been great to learn more of this intriguing character, rather than just rely on hearsay and interpretations, though that's par for the course.

At any rate, it's amazing to get more lore dumps, pieces, and snippets to theorize about. I love Elden Ring's story and wholeheartedly would play another game set in its universe, even though I'm fairly certain that will not happen in the foreseeable future. FromSoftware is working on a new, Switch 2-exclusive game, The Duskbloods, and also broached the idea of never doing a game of ER's size again.

So, this will have to do, and knowing how FromSoftware-loving YouTubers function, it might be quite enough for a very, very long time indeed.

A temple built into the rock formations of a red desert in Crimson Desert.

I know I've been repeating this over and over again, but Crimson Desert really is a special game, not only because it has genuinely great gameplay and a breathtaking world. While that's awesome and all, I'm starting to truly appreciate its developers, Pearl Abyss, who have been issuing non-stop patches since the game came out two weeks ago.

And one came out today, again. This time, the developers wanted to be as inclusive as possible, introducing ways for players to use old control schemes if they preferred them, while allowing everyone else to use those modernized and polished ones that they so desperately demanded. On top of that, there are countless quality-of-life improvements, bugfixes, and minor changes in the patch, as there have been in every patch since March 19.

While the game launched to some controversy, its developers have been so punctual with updates that there is barely any bad blood between them and the players anymore. Even those in the broader gaming community who screamed at the top of their lungs that the game is rehashed trash are now silent. Numbers keep increasing, review scores keep climbing, and Parl Abyss continues to earn more and more respect, even from CD's biggest naysayers.

A cat in Crimson Desert
New mounts, animals, cats, and so much other stuff was added in the game that I cannot even remember it all. Image via Pearl Abyss

To that end, I propose that we (or rather, other developers) perform a comprehensive study of Pearl Abyss and its MO concerning Crimson Desert. In there, I am certain we would learn how post-launch periods should actually be handled and how the Western state of mind revolving around years-long post-release cycles simply doesn't cut it in our rapid day and age.

Take Starfield, for example. That game launched with a myriad of different issues almost three full years ago. That's a long time, and by the time this article is published, it is yet to receive what is most likely its final update. And even with years of post-launch development, patches, and a not-so-well-received DLC, Starfield remains in a strange state that is neither good nor necessarily horrible, with Bethesda barely being able to move the dial either way.

Contrast that to Crimson Desert, a game that had fundamental flaws on release, prompting its developers to fix up major problems within a week of launch. Hell, they even changed several introductory quests, added new story elements to better streamline the acquisition of certain skills, and generally made the first few hours of the game much more enjoyable and manageable for the average player.

It's not even that they updated the game as much as that they almost entirely reworked the game's prologue to make it land better with audiences. I can't recall the last time I saw a development studio, either in the West or anywhere else, performing such fundamental changes and at such a speed. Nowadays, if a game has bad parts, those parts will remain bad no matter what, and though devs tend to try and fluff up the rest of the experience, revamping certain aspects is rendered unto the realm of "impossibility" and left as is.

Pearl Abyss proves that nothing really is impossible, as you can keep tweaking and changing and updating the game to make it better even after launching it. I mean, you have the source code, you have the engine, so why not make those changes? Sure, not all changes will be for the better, and you're always taking a risk when undergoing deep reworks, but sometimes you're forced to make that decision, and just sitting on your behind doing nothing isn't doing you any favors.

Unfortunately, Pearl Abyss remains rather alone in this regard, and in many others, too.

Kliff wearing plate armor in Crimson Desert.
Using my review build screenshots make me feel like I'm posting stuff from an entirely different game. Screenshot by Destructoid

Since launching, the game has had a dozen patches fixing everything and adhering to every community complaint and demand possible. From new control schemes to improving input lag to adding more storage and expanding the game's fast travel spots, Crimson Desert is almost a different game to the one that I played for the review, and it's only been two weeks.

AI art was removed after being detected, performance updates made it look and work better on base console models, while polishing made the minutest things, such as cat names, fall more in line with its broader vision.

PA is just working so, so fast to address everything and anything the community wants them to address, and, like the above, I cannot recall many studios ever doing so. Many do put out great updates and polish their games in a timely manner, but I think Pearl Abyss is setting some kind of record with the pace they're updating CD at.

I'm just in love with their work ethic, and I hope, for the sake of our amazing community, that more developers appear in the AAA sphere willing to undertake massive tasks to make their games better, and not just by selling us overpriced updates, patches, and so-called expansion packs that turn out to be single characters and a two-hour mission.

Stanisic Showdown SBC in FC 26

A new Showdown SBC is now live in FC 26 that features Gonzalo Garcia and Josip Stanisic, and one of them will be eligible for upgrades in the future. The upgrades will be based on whoever wins the first leg tie between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.

This guide will help you narrow down your choices if you can complete just one of the challenges.

FC 26 Stanisic vs Garcia Showdown SBC tasks

Before we dive into the correct choice, let's look at the tasks that are part of both challenges.

Josip Stanisic

FC Bayern Munchen

  • Min. 1 Players from: FC Bayern München
  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week
  • Min. Team Rating: 85

Top Form

  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week
  • Min. Team Rating: 85

Bundesliga

  • Min. 1 Players from: Bundesliga
  • Min. Team Rating: 86

Gonzalo Garcia

Spain

  • Min. 1 Players from: Spain
  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week
  • Min. Team Rating: 86

Top Form

  • Min. 1 Players: Team of the Week
  • Min. Team Rating: 86

LaLiga

  • Min. 1 Players from: LALIGA EA SPORTS
  • Min. Team Rating: 87

Which card should you pick?

A primary deciding factor will be the positional requirements in your squad. If you need an attacker, Gonzalo Garcia is the correct pick. If you need a defensive card, your pick should be Stanisic. But if I have to review the cards, the Bayern defender is clearly the better choice.

He has four playable positions, and his stats allow him to be played as either an LB or an RB. While he can also play as a CB and RM, his play styles aren't suitable. If he gets an upgrade in the future, his stats will improve further, taking his Defense face stat to 90.

While Garcia's item isn't a bad card, it lacks some key playstyles in the current meta. The lack of Rapid is a major weakness for a card that operates as a striker. Moreover, Power Shot+ is an exceptionally high-skill cap playstyle that's not suitable for beginners.

Hence, Stanisic is clearly the better choice despite Real having higher chances on paper to secure a win (and an upgrade for Garcia).

House Flipper: Dine Out table settings

Free stuff is always great, and luckily for us, Steam tends to offer loads of free games just about every day, and sometimes it's a major title. Indies in particular are very good at willingly hopping into your library free of charge, and this time around, it's House Flipper doing so.

Incredibly popular and successful, House Flipper is free to claim and keep forever on Steam, with this amazing offer available until April 6, the day after tomorrow. Released in 2018, House Flipper saw a rapid rise as players wanted to join in on the fun of purchasing, fixing up, and subsequently selling off properties for significant financial gain.

Its easy and simple gameplay loop, loads of options, and countless DLC constantly adding to the fun made it into one of the most popular indies ever, with an estimated 2.5 million copies sold on Steam alone.

House Flipper
Who wouldn't want to spend their free time fixing virtual houses and selling them off? Image via Frozen Way

This amazing offer comes in celebration of House Flipper Remastered Collection's upcoming release in the second quarter of 2026, which will cost as little as $16 for those who own the original game and at least six DLCs. The Remastered Collection will contain all DLCs and the remastered game in one package, allowing you to experience its full content library through a single purchase.

Getting the free version will let you play the base game as it was in 2018 (though substantially updated), potentially getting you excited enough to buy into the remaster or even its sequel, House Flipper 2.

House Flipper also has extensive mod support and tens of thousands of mods that can make your fun last even longer without any extra charges, meaning you could potentially squeeze out dozens of hours out of this game by spending literally zero bucks.

Free-to-keep games are constantly available on Steam, and the easiest way to keep up to date with what's being offered up for nothing is to just click on the store search bar, as the top auto-generated result is usually a completely free game.

Parseword featured

If you're a fan of Wordle, we've got some good news for you. Not too long ago, Wordle's creator came up with another game, Parseword, that tests your cryptic crossword-solving skills. There are layers to this one, making it noticeably more difficult to solve than its six-letter word counterpart.

Parseword #66 hints

April 4, 2026's Parseword answer focuses on four different words that you can replace. If you don't want to know the answer right away, you'll find some hints below that'll guide you in the right direction.

Hint one

The solution is a seven-letter word. We won't be looking for multiple words or a lengthy phrase this time around.

Hint two

This puzzle uses three replacements and a join transformation. Rather than focusing on the entire four-word phrase, analyze each word individually to see how its combinations work together.

Hint three

The final word is defined as being an "Everglades animal," eliminating full words such as "direction" or "obsessed" in this particular transformation sequence.

Hint four

Fellow, consumed, and eastern all have synonyms that are shorter than their original counterparts. Focus on using short yet effective replacements rather than lengthy alternatives that exceed the solution's character limit.

Hint five

"By" is the only word that has a join transformation attached to it. Leave this until the end once you have all three replacements solved.

Parseword #66 answer

Today's solution combines replacements and joining to create one word. Here's a complete step-by-step to solving today's Parseword puzzle:

  1. Select "fellow" and replace it with "Man"
  2. Select "consumed" and replace it with "Ate"
  3. Select "eastern" and replace it with "E"
  4. Tap on all four words, including "by," to combine them into "Manatee"

The final solution is "Manatee," defined as an Everglades animal.

How do you play Parseword?

Parseword is a cryptic crossword game that asks you to solve puzzles by transforming words in a given phrase. This can involve reducing, combining, or rearranging words through around. Your ultimate goal is to find a phrase's defining word using the options given to you.

Most of Parseword revolves around the following transformation types:

  • Replacement - Replacing a word with a synonym or abbreviation.
  • Joining - Combining two or more words.
  • Container - Inserting a word or phrase into another.
  • Selection - Singling out letters from a word or phrase.
  • Anagram - Rearranging the letters in a word or phrase to create another.
  • Deletion - Removing letters from a word or phrase.
  • Reverse - Reversing the letters in a given word or phrase.
  • Hidden Word - Selects connected letters in a word or phrase, removing the rest.
  • Homophone - Changes a word into a letter that sounds the same.
  • Translation - Translate a word from one language to another.

Every transformation type has accompanying words, phrases, or letters that relate to these respective types. For example, if you're trying to make an anagram, selecting a word that suggests movement, chaos, or change in any way will usually get you there. Similarly, if you want to delete a letter, finding a word that suggests removal will often do the trick. Selecting a word will show you your potential options.

Visiting the Parseword website will immediately prompt you with a helpful tutorial and a Parseword 101 section that'll teach you the basics of playing, including some helpful tips and tricks:

  • Every Parseword puzzle includes a solution that tells you the number of letters in the final word.
  • Most of Parseword involves wordplay to transform words. For example, you can trim using words like "reduce," reverse a word using "backwards," or combine words by selecting multiple choices at once.
  • Focus on identifying action words first to see how they can transform any surrounding nouns, verbs, or adjectives. These identifiers are always underlined.
  • There's no shame in experimenting and undoing your choice if it means learning more information about your current puzzle.
