Following the Combo Breaker Skullgirls World Championship on May 24, 2024, Hidden Variable Studios shared footage of Brain Drain and Minette in Skullgirls Mobile on social media. Both characters will be Guest Stars in that version of the game in 2024.
Both Brain Drain and Minette are both Skullgirls characters who appeared in the series' lore, but have never been playable until the upcoming mobile Gest Star appearances. The two of them were among possible potential DLC characters we were able to vote for as possible additions to the roster in a 2013 IndieGoGo campaign. While characters like Annie, Beowulf, Black Dahlia, Eliza, Marie, and Umbrella did eventually make it into the game as playable characters, with Marie being the most recent addition in March 2024, these two characters did not.
First, here is the Brain Drain announcement trailer. At the very end, it notes that he and Minette will be joined by a third, as yet unidentified, character as the initial three Guest Stars.
Next, here's an in-progress animation for a Brain Drain Guest Star attack.
Finally, here's the latest in-progress animated clip of Minette performing an attack in the game.
As for the winner of the 2024 Skullgirls World Championship, Dominique SonicFox McLean won.
Skullgirls Mobile is available for mobile devices, and Brain Drain and Minette will appear in it in 2024.

Anycolor announced that 30 Nijisanji Vtubers from the Japanese and English branches will be a part of an NBA collaboration event with merchandise. The first official reveal will come on May 29, 2024, and Rakuten already has a site up confirming this is about special illustrations pairing performers with teams.
Aside from Anycolor and Rakuten confirming that this involves merchandise, there aren't too many details about the project yet. Inui Toko, Kuzuha, Petra Gurin, Sonny Brisko, and Shu Yamino will host the first announcement at 5pm PT/8pm ET on May 29, 2024. That first stream will reveal the first three pairings with NBA teams. It might also offer the first look at some of the illustrations for the new Nijisanji merchandise.
We also know all 30 Vtubers that will be involved. Only seven are from the Japanese branch. Here's who we can expect to see on the NBA event merchandise:
Note that even though Alban Knox will be on hiatus in June 2024, he is noted as being part of the event. Also, judging by Victoria Brightshield's comments after the announcement, it seems that Anycolor did not alert other talents uninvolved about the announcement.
The first announcement regarding which Nijisanji Vtubers will represent which NBA teams will be held at 5pm PT/8pm ET on May 29, 2024.

Good Smile Company offered an update on social media on the Rebuild of Evangelion Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami Nendoroid dolls and Sanrio sweatshirts. The former two appeared as dressed and painted prototypes, while all five shirts appeared on Nendoroid Doll dress form mannequins.
First, here are how the Asuka and Rei Evangelion Nendoroid Dolls will look. Both of them are wearing their Tokyo-3 First Municipal Junior High School uniforms. While the outfits are identical, their socks and shoes are different. The Rei doll's face plate features a gentle smile, while the Asuka one makes her look a bit shocked as she blushes. There's no release window for either one yet.

While this will be the first time Asuka and Rei appear as Nendoroid Dolls like this, we have seen standard Nendoroids of both characters in their Rebuild of Evangelion attire. Good Smile Company first sold them in 2020, then brought them back again in 2024. As those are standard figures, those come with multiple face plates and accessories. Nendoroid Dolls come with one face plate and an outfit.
As for the Sanrio Nendoroid Doll sweatshirts, there will be five varieties available. Hello Kitty's face appears on a red shirt. Cinnamoroll's is on a blue one. Pompompurin is on a yellow sweatshirt. Finally, Kuromi is on a purple one and My Melody on a pink one. Like the Evangelion dolls, there is no release window for these extra clothing items.
The Rebuild of Evangelion movies are available to stream on Amazon, while the anime series is on Netflix.
