Chris Gilham: Nioh PvP Mode is Finally Live, Patch Notes Revealed Team Ninja's Nioh has received a major new patch which finally brings player vs. player combat to the hack and slash action title. In version 1.16, players will be able to choose between "skill" and "strength" prior to a match. While "strength" lets you fight in the traditional Nioh way (where you can use your own equipment as usual), "skill" is for the new PvP mode where your PvE build is pretty much restricted.
