One of the stranger aspects of Sony's E3 2016 was when they used their platform to announce Shenmue 3…as a Kickstarter? As strange as it was at the time that Sony was making a major announcement out of asking fans who have ached for it to fund the conclusion to Ryu's saga, which ended on a cliffhanger back on the Dreamcast, the title smashed all crowdfunding records to end up with a cool $6,333,295.
