Besides its various DLC characters, Disgaea 6 also adds several turbo modes and customizable auto modes to allows players will little time on their hands to farm fast and clean.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppuutan News Coming Early February

Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba exhibition artworkfeature for ps4 game hinokami keppuutan news

CyberConnect2 and Aniplex will reveal new details on the upcoming Demon Slayer PS4 game, Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppuutan, on February 8, through the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine releasing that day.

As pointed out by Game's Talk, the usual magazine leaks this week revealed that Weekly Shonen Jump 2021 n°9, out on February 1, will announce that new information on Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppuutan is coming in the next issue, Weekly Shonen Jump 2021 n°10. Out on February 8.

Hiroshi Matsuyama, president of developing studio CyberConnect2, said back at New Years 2021 that Hinokami Keppuutan's development is going super well and that we'd get news soon through the usual magazines. CyberConnect2 is known for its Naruto games and the .Hack JRPG series.

The Demon Slayer PS4 game was first announced back in March 2020 for a 2021 release, and we've only got a single trailer and a development report video then, and nothing else since. While we've never seen any actual gameplay, Hinokami Keppuutan is officially described as a "demon-slaying action game". and a "versus-fighting action game".

A Demon Slayer mobile game was also announced simultaneously, Kimetsu no Yaiba Keppuu Kengeki Royale. However, while initially planned to launch in 2020, it was indefinitely delayed.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an incredibly popular shonen manga by Koyoharu Gotōge. It ran in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 15, 2016, to May 18, 2020. A first TV anime adaptation by Studio Ufotable aired in 2019. A first anime movie titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train released on October 16, 2020, in Japan. In 45 days, the movie became the second highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. And in 73 days, it overcame Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi if you're an otaku) and took pole position.

Demon Slayer was also recently featured in a crossover collab event in gacha JRPG Granblue Fantasy.

G4TV Revival Confirms The Return of X-Play and Attack of the Show

g4tv logo

After posing the question of what shows should be brought back, G4TV's Twitter answered by confirming the return of two of its flagship series. With the revival of G4TV slated to kick off in 2021, we're gradually getting more teases of what's to come. Fans of the original iteration of the gaming entertainment network will be very pleased to know that X-Play and Attack of the Show are coming back. Given that these were easily two of the network's most popular shows, it's not all that surprising that either of them would see revivals. But for fans, it definitely is very exciting and lends a lot of for G4TV's legacy.

X-Play focused on primarily video game reviews and previews. With a healthy dosage of humor and skits thrown in throughout. Hosts Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb became staples of not just the show but of the entire network.

Attack of the Show was of a variety show more akin to a late-night talk show than anything else G4TV had to offer. It cycled through a handful of hosts until it found it's main team of Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira. The two would engage in a slew of antics throughout the course of an episode.

G4 Reunion

G4TV was a staple in many gaming households in the early parts of the millennium. Many of us who work in games journalism today saw the network as our first glimpse into the industry. There are plenty of fond memories viewers have of watching G4TV. As a result, everyone is eager to see what the relaunch will bring to the table after the landscape has changed so drastically.

This new iteration will be a hybrid of a television network while also pushing digital content. G4TV is set to officially have its revival in the Summer of 2021.

The Medium — Accessibility Options Available at Launch

The Medium Requirements

Bloober Team's third-person horror adventure The Medium is now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and if you've missed out the review on the title you can read it here. But after pre-loading the game and jumping in, I took a look at the settings for the game for accessibility purposes, and here's what's available in Bloober Teams Dual Reality-focused game.

Upon the first launch, the game invites you to customise your options, allowing you to take control of subtitles and other graphical options such as resolution and ray tracing. There's also a screen that details photosensitive epilepsy warnings as well as a trigger warning, but it doesn't actually detail what triggers.

The subtitles themselves have been done nicely, allowing you to choose from 5 different size profiles, apply a background, include the speaker name, and whether you want the text thin or bold. Speaker colours are also available toggle on. You can also see a preview of the subtitles, which is fantastic. There appear to be no options for colour blind options.

The Medium Subtitle Examples

You can make changes to elements of gameplay, such as whether you want the HUD on, tooltips, camera shake, and even how strong you want the controller vibration to be. There's also an option to autocomplete events, which basically completes tasks such as discovering Echoes or using bolt cutters. An Insight function is toggleable as well which basically lets you focus and see the outlines of objects of interest that may be hidden away.

You can remap gamepad inputs and also keyboard and mouse inputs as well. There are a few options you can change from toggle to hold inputs: Insight and hold breath. But that's it really.

As for a quick stint through gameplay, there are no visual indications for sound, instead, The Medium seems to use its world to coax your vision to a point of interest — shadows moving, doors, etc. Nearby ringing phones and nearby danger isn't represented so if you can't hear any cues you're going to be standing around for a while.

There are also moments in which inputs aren't specified for actions. For the beginning of the game, (to keep things spoiler-free) you open a "door" and pull out a "table" but there's no input for informing you of how to let go. These are few, but still irritating when they occur.

The camera is also "fixed" in the sense each point of the room activates a different angle that is out of your control. Sometimes the camera moves on its own to follow you. which may feel jarring for some angles used. Additionally, the Dual Reality system uses a split-screen effect which can require concentrating on 2 versions of the same thing while trying to achieve tasks.

The Medium is available on PC and Xbox Series X|S now. If you're wondering about PC specs, those were revealed last week, but if you're curious about the story, that's explained in a trailer from last year.

Resident Evil 4 Village Created in Far Cry 5 Looks Incredible

Resident Evil Village is a hot topic right now, most notably for a certain very tall lady named Lady Dimitrescu. But for once, and probably for a short period of time, let's talk about Resident Evil 4 and how a talented creator has managed to recreate the spooky village from the title to make it look like it's taken straight from the game.

Youtuber Mojo Swoptops, a games industry artist who loves nothing more than recreating iconic locations in the Far Cry 5 map on the PS4, has showcased their latest project over on their channel that has over 2k subscribers. Recreating this iconic village is no easy task, hence why it took Mojo over four hours to complete the entire thing. Thankfully, they recorded the whole endeavor on how they went about it step by step.

It's truly incredible to watch how Mojo went from an empty plot in the Far Cry 5 editor to what the end product looks like. Starting off by adding areas of trees, Mojo then moved on to building a Farm compound, a Church with a cemetery, and a tall bell tower within the village. Next, they construct the bonfire in the middle as well as making sure every little detail is taken care of, even right down to bushes, plants, and carts. Towards the end, Mojo changed the weather system to make it as spooky as possible with low hanging clouds and dark and gloomy skies.

It's really inspiring. Mojo has done an incredible job at recreating the village from Resident Evil 4. I wonder when Resident Evil Village arrives, will they try and recreate Castle Dimitrescu? Make sure to give them a follow over on YouTube and also you can see what they are up to on Instagram where they have a huge array of images from past projects.

Back in April last year, we heard that Capcom would be trying their hand at remaking Resident Evil 4 and that the game was in development. Moving into the present day and it seems that the title is undergoing some big behind-the-scenes changes that include the studio's role being "significantly reduced" due to disagreements over its direction according to individuals with knowledge of the project.

Resident Evil 4 remake has been reportedly delayed as it undergoes these changes which could mean that it might not release for quite some time yet. Thankfully, we have Resident Evil Village to look forward to as the title will release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 7, 2021.

Hideki Kamiya Reveals Fifth Platinum 4 Reveal is "Smaller in Scale"

platinum 4, Platinum Games, Hideki Kamiya

In February 2020, PlatinumGames kicked off the marketing campaign known as the "Platinum 4." What followed was a series of announcements the revealed a Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, the start of a new project, and the creation of a new studio. However, we've known for a while that at least one more announcement was forthcoming. Today, Hideki Kamiya spoke to Video Game Chronicle and revealed a few important bits about that upcoming announcement.

Of course, Kamiya wasn't able to share when exactly the announcement will go live. Instead, he used the interview more to set fans' expectations. He called the reveal something "smaller in scale" to the others. However, he was clear that they've "had (this) in the works for a while." So, expect a smaller surprise, but it still to be more than worth your time.

Kamiya also let VGC know that the reveal was initially set for earlier. However, like so many things in the past year, it was pushed back due to the coronavirus. At this point, that's far from surprising, but it does make you wonder exactly what they have up their sleeves.

The one thing I think we can assume is that this won't be Bayonetta 3-related. Kamiya has been on record saying Platinum wants to get an update for that game out this year, but that's not something you'd call "smaller in scale." That announcement will break the internet when it comes. So, don't expect the fifth Platinum 4 reveal to be related to that franchise.

Regardless, be sure to keep your eyes locked to DualShockers for the news. No matter what comes out of PlatinumGames, you can rest assured that we'll have it for you as soon as possible. For now though, just pop on that Bayonetta remake.

The Star Wars: Battlefront Soundtrack Is Coming To Spotify Tonight

EA's recent iterations of the Star Wars: Battlefront games have had a choppy history. Despite their missteps in gameplay and monetization tactics, fans and critics alike agreed that Dice's take on the Star Wars multiplayer shooter nailed the look, feel, and most importantly, the sound of Star Wars. Now, the award-winning soundtracks for both Battlefront and Battlefront II are coming to streaming services and digital storefronts.

Announced via an article from Variety, both soundtracks will be launching within the next week. The first game's soundtrack will arrive on digital storefronts and streaming services tonight at midnight ET with Battlefront II's to follow on February 5. Originally composed by Gary Haab and performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices Choir, the soundtracks managed to capture the magic of John Williams' original vision.

Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront Soundtrack, Battlefront, Battlefront 2, Battlefront Soundtrack

The Battlefront soundtracks join the soundtracks for EA's other two Star Wars outings; Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons, both of which been on streaming services for months at this point. In a comment to Variety, Haab said, "I consider composing the original score for EA's 'Star Wars: Battlefront' series one of my greatest accomplishments." After the news broke, Haab took to Twitter to express his excitement.

This news comes after Battlefront 2 saw over 19 Million new players when it was free on the Epic Games Store last week. While Star Wars games have been a mixed bag since Disney entered a 10-year deal with EA, both companies involved have pushed to turn their image around. Between reviving Battlefront 2 and releasing a pair of successful Star Wars games back-to-back, EA managed to restore some goodwill following Battlefront 2's disastrous launch.

Disney, on the other hand, restructured their gaming label, launching Lucasfilm Games, the new brand for all Lucasfilm-related gaming content. This announcement came hand-in-hand with the reveal of new Star Wars and Indiana Jones games, signaling the end of their exclusivity deal with EA.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Gets New DLC, Free Demo Today

Immortals Fenyx Rising

Immortals Fenyx Rising launched last year to solid reviews. Ubisoft's mythical take on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild isn't nearly as good as that game, but it does seem to do a lot of things well. However, it got a bit lost during the busy holiday season. That doesn't mean the team has stopped working on the game though. In fact, today they launched a brand new DLC called A New God. Plus, they've released a free demo. So, you can now check the game out at no cost to yourself. Give the DLC trailer a look below.

Immortals Fenyx Rising: A New God has players trying to prove themselves worthy of joining the pantheon. It tasks you with exploring the Olympos Palace as you complete trials set by the gods themselves. And, of course, as you progress you'll unlock new pieces of gear. These give you several new abilities to help you get around the world. On top of all that, you'll grab four new ability upgrades that take Fenyx to the next level.

Of course, that's all if you already own the game and are willing to plonk down the money to pick up the DLC or the Season Pass. If like me, you've been putting Immortals off, that demo is looking particularly tasty. We here at DualShockers are all about demos. Not only do they let everyone check out a game before putting down cash, but they also let players see what accessibility options are available. That's important because devs don't always tout those features ahead of release.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is out now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination Lets You Enact Nefarious Plots in March

Evil Genius 2, Rebellion

Rebellion has been showing off Evil Genius 2: Wold Domination for a little while now. In fact, the team was set to ship the game last year. However, like so many other teams, they had to push the release date back because of COVID. But now, it's almost ready for prime time. Today, the team premiered a brand new release date trailer. It confirms that the game is launching on March 30 on PC. Check it out.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination sees you putting on the boots of a world-renowned supervillain. You'll need to build out your base, recruit and train minions, and make sure the good guys can't stop you. It's a very tongue-in-cheek take on the classic sim genre that adds a fair bit of strategy to the mix. Plus, the comic-inspired look of the whole thing really pops on the screen.

If you played the classic Dungeon Keeper titles, you'll probably recognize some of that DNA in the Evil Genius series. The base-building, in particular really calls back to those classic Bullfrog titles. However, Evil Genius 2 is more than just a cheap knock-off. The team at Rebellion really goes all out in creating wild objectives for you to take on and they have four different supervillains for you to play as. That ensures tons of replayability if you find yourself wanting to dive back in again and again.

Evil Genius 2: World Domination comes to PC on March 25. Make sure to get those secret base plans dusted off so you can create your dream base when the game launches.
