Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season Two Starts February 25

call of duty black ops cold war

Last year saw the Call of Duty franchise once again returned to the Black Ops subseries with Cold War. The game was, as expected, largely successful and rumors are already starting to swirl around about the 2021 entry. In the meantime, though, it's time for the next season for Cold War in the jungles.

A new cinematic trailer has been revealed that serves as a teaser and introduction for the second season. In it we see the crew in helicopters over the jungles of Laos and new potential foe named Naga taking someone out. As with the previous game, Modern Warfare, this will also be tied to Call of Duty: Warzone as well. We'll keep you updated as more information comes in.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Season Two will begin across those platforms on February 25th.

Second Extinction Teases Xbox Reveal By Killing A Dinosaur With The Series X

second extinction

It feels like it's been quite some time since we massacred dinosaurs in video games, and Second Extinction looks to remedy that. The horde mode based title sees you taking on all kinds of mutated dino menaces. Those on Steam have been enjoying the game's Early Access release since last year, and now something on the Xbox side is being teased soon.

A very brief teaser was released to tease a Xbox reveal. It involves one of the before mentioned dinosaurs running down the street and then a giant Xbox Series X coming to crush it, complete with green blood splatter. I guess that's one way to get your attention. Whatever its teasing is set to be released on February 18th. Whether it'll be a release date or early access coming to Xbox is anyone's guess.

Second Extinction is set to release at some point this year. It's available in Early Access on PC via Steam now, and is also set to come to Xbox Series X/S.

PS5's Die Shot Has Been Posted Online

PS5 Logo

Sony launched their much anticipated PS5 last November. Despite the global pandemic causing lots of stock issues, as one would expect, it seems the console was a success. It was also a rather difficult machine to get your hands on, too. Now we also have a bit of a look on the inside of the machine for those who are very tech curious.

Twitter user Fritzchens Fritz posted the entire die-shot of the PS5 to his account. You can see the full post below. According to Fritz, some Zen 2 FPU parts seem to be missing. If you're big into the more meats and potatoes of what is in your machine, it's probably quite a treat to dig through. He says more pictures are coming with higher quality.

Sony's PlayStation 5 is said to have shipped 4.5 million units as of this month. The system is  technically available, but the unit is still plagued overall with stock issues.

New World Has Been Delayed Once Again To August

New World

We have been hearing about Amazon's New World for quite some time. The MMO has been one of the games the company has been working on to push its gaming initiative. Unfortunately, it seems the game has really hit some snags, and now there is another one as New World has gotten yet another delay.

In the most recent development update, it was announced that the game had now been pushed to August of this year. It actually had no solid release date, only aiming for a Spring 2021 release, but it's stated they were unable to make that time frame. It's said the biggest reason for this new delay is beefing up endgame content, which they think is important to get as polished and ready as possible for launch.

For context, the game was at one point scheduled to release August 25th, 2020, meaning this new delay to August 31st has put it over a year past that last date. It's now set to come to PC on that date, so fingers crossed this will be the time.

Outriders Also Launches On Stadia April 1, Will Feature Stream Connect Support

Outriders

Outriders was one of the first next gen titles that was announced and was, at one point, going to launch alongside the new consoles last November, but it wasn't to be. The game was delayed, and then delayed again, to this April. The game will come across a variety of platforms, including Stadia.

Square Enix announced in a press release today that the game would, in fact, launch day and date alongside other versions on Google's streaming service. The game also features support for Stream Connect, which will allow you to watch your friend's gameplay, picture-in-picture in real time so you can see exactly what is happening with your partner at all times. It is available for pre-order there now.

Outriders will launch April 1st for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. A free demo is also set to come on February 25th. You can also check out the game's various PC requirements and features through here.

Marvel's Avengers – Operation: Hawkeye Receives New Trailer and Details

Marvel's Avengers - Hawkeye

Marvel's Avengers is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on March 18th but that's not all that Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal has planned. In the latest War Table, it confirmed that Clint Barton aka Hawkeye would finally be joining the roster on the same day. Check out his story trailer below.

Taking place after "Taking AIM", which focused on Kate Bishop, Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect is about Clint as he ventures to locate Nick Fury. The Operation can be played either solo or with up to three other players, and eventually provide Hawkeye as a playable character (with his own dedicated battle pass for cosmetics). MLB The Show 21 Video Highlights Faster Progression to Postseason

MLB The Show 21_03

Sony San Diego has released a new video for MLB The Show 21, focusing on the march to the postseason in "March to October". If you're not keen on playing 162 games, then it's possible to speed up progress. This is done by offering more control over one's roster to make higher impact moves and fast-tracking the development of prospects by playing minor league games.

As the first title in the series to go cross-platform, MLB The Show 21 will be releasing on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One and PS4. The Standard Edition retails for $59.99 while the current-gen versions are $69.99. Upgrading from previous to current-gen platforms also isn't possible with the Standard Edition – you'll need the Collector's Edition for that.

While saves from previous releases can't be transferred over, MLB The Show 21 does support cross-platform saves. Players on Xbox can thus move their progress over to PlayStation consoles and vice versa if necessary. It's currently slated to release on April 20th so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
