LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Has Been Delayed Again
Originally slated to release this Spring, Traveller's Tales Games' LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been delayed again. Though a new release window wasn't provided, the developer said on Twitter that it would update the launch timing "as soon as possible." It revealed that more time was needed in order to make the game "the biggest and best-ever LEGO game."
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a pretty ambitious undertaking, packing all nine episodes from the Star Wars film saga into one title. Each episode consists of five missions and players can either go through them all in order or play each one individually. Classic locations like Tatooine, Coruscant, Jakku, Endor and many more will be available to explore.
There are also 300 different characters to play with, from Force users (who can now use light and heavy attacks in combos) to blasters that utilize a third person aiming system. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker is in development for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Stay tuned for an update release date in the coming months.

Resident Evil Village Receives First PS4 Pro Gameplay
While Capcom is prepping its next Resident Evil showcase, the first ever gameplay for Resident Evil Village running on previous gen consoles has been revealed (via IGN). The footage showcases the game running on PS4 Pro and actually looks pretty solid. Check it out below.
Initially announced for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, Capcom would later confirm Xbox One and PS4 versions. Earlier reports by insider Dusk Golem indicated that the title had issues running on previous-gen hardware with the updated fidelity leading to pop-in and long loading times. Of course, that was when the game was still in progress so perhaps those issues have been circumvented.
Regardless, Resident Evil Village is slated to release on May 7th. Along with previous and current gen consoles, it will also be coming to Google Stadia with pre-orders receiving a free Stadia Premiere Edition with Chromecast Ultra and a Stadia Controller. The offer is valid until May 21st, 12 AM PT. Stay tuned for more details on the title and the upcoming beta for its multiplayer mode Resident Evil Re:Verse.
MLB The Show 21 Will Launch for Xbox Game Pass on Day 1
The very fact that MLB The Show 21 – a Sony first party developed series that has always been exclusive to PlayStation – was momentous enough in and of itself, but it seems the release is going to be even more reasons than expected.
Microsoft have announced that MLB The Show 21 will be available via Xbox Game Pass right at launch, on day 1. Both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions will be available for Game Pass members (several enhancements and features, such as the Stadium Creator, are going to be exclusively available in the game's next-gen versions). Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will also be able to play the game on Android devices via xCloud.
MLB The Show 21 is not the first major third party release on Xbox two be joining the Game Pass on day 1, with the recently released Outriders also having joined the service right at launch. Unlike Outriders, however, MLB The Show 21 is a Sony-published and Sony-developed game, which makes this a much more surprising turn of events.
MLB The Show 21 is launching for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One on April 20.

However, shock of shocks, it's now available on Apple Arcade and playable on iOS and tvOS. Check out the launch trailer below.
World of Demons sees players battling yokai as a samurai. While you can hack and slash to your heart's content, it's also possible to lead various yokai minions into battle. Various yokai can be utilized, each with their own unique abilities en route to battling the big bad Shuten Doji.

It also touted in-app purchases but it's unknown whether either of these features are still part of the game. Stay tuned for more details and impressions on World of Demons in the coming months.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… Details Bonuses For First Print Run Copies
This month, fans of the NieR series will be able to go back to the first game with a remaster of NieR Replicant. We've been seeing a lot of the game lately, such as settings and boss fights that you can look forward to revisiting. Now Square Enix has seen fit to detail some bonus goodies that early adopters will be able to get a hold of.
Across all versions of the game will get a mini soundtrack. The PS4 version will get another set of bonuses, however, as you'll get a dynamic theme based on the game, as well as a set of 14 different avatars, and you can see both below. Interestingly, the avatar sets have a pair of blurred out photos, both of which look to be 'Papa Nier,' an alternate version of the protagonist that is a father instead of a brother for when the game was released in the west. The remaster only has the option of the 'brother Neir' character which was from the original Japanese release. You can see more details, as well as some Japanese-only bonuses, at Square Enix's official blog through here.
NeiR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… will release on April 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. You can also check out the PC requirements through here.
Final Fantasy 14 – Death Unto Dawn Part 1 Adds New Dungeon, Trial and Story Quests
Final Fantasy 14 will receive its next major patch, "Death Unto Dawn – Part 1", in the coming weeks. The story sees the Scions finding a cure for tempering, which could usher in a new era of peace. However, strange towers have begun to rise with Fandaniel and Telophoroi looking to recreate the Final Days. A hint of what's to come in the Endwalker expansion can also be seen in the latest trailer.
New Main Scenario quests aside, the patch adds a new dungeon, Paglth'an. There's also The Sorrow of Werlyt which sees the VIIth Legion's Diamond Weapon wreaking havoc. The Cloud Deck serves as the newest Trial with players battling it out against the new Weapon.
The Ishgardian Restoration also continues with the Risensong Quarter being complete and various luminaries arriving in the Firmament to celebrate. It Takes Two Director Feels Single Player Games Are Too Long
It Takes Two released recently, and was a pretty solid affair. The game came from Hazelight Studios, who has released several co-op based experiences now, and was directed by the now infamous Josef Fares. The Creator has always been an opinionated one, and now he seems to be thinking about the length of modern single player games, and just who is is going back to them.
In an interview with Inverse, Fares talked about the length of single player games. Being blunt, he just said that he felt they were too long, games in general he looks at as too long. He seems to think that right now there is too much focus on things like replayability, despite the fact that very few people actually replay games, or even finish them. This is very similar to something he said in his interview with us, where he talked about the repetition often found in narrative-based games.
"I do believe that many of the single-player games last a bit too long and mechanics are used for too long. Games are too long," he said.
"It's weird that people want replayability. Why the f**k are we talking about replayability? Do you know what percentage of people actually replay a game? I'm not sure if this is true, but I believe the people who buy games without playing once is a higher percentage than those who replay them. Yet, we're still focusing on that small part."
It Takes Two is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. The game is a relatively short experience, too, so you can't fault the man for not practicing what he preaches.
NEO: The World Ends With You Will Get New Information On April 9
After what feels like forever of teasing, we finally got the announcement that cult classic the The World Ends with You would be getting a full fledged sequel. The RPG had a unique gameplay set up back on the Nintendo DS, and a very interesting and stylish look. Since its reveal, however, we haven't really heard very much about NEO: The World Ends with You, but it seems that will change next week.
Via the official Twitter for the animated adaptation of the first game, Series Creator Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that there would be some information about the game a few hours before the premiere of the new show. He doesn't get into any specifics, so it's up in the air what this will amount to. The game was recently rated in Australia, which can potentially be a sign that release is close, but we can only guess.
NEO: The World Ends with You has announced to release this year for PlayStation 4 and Switch. Whatever the new information is will drop on April 9th.

Fantasian Part 1 is Out Now on Apple Arcade
The first part of Fantasian, the latest RPG from Mistwalker and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, is now available on Apple Arcade. It's playable on Mac, iOS and tvOS with the part offering 20 to 30 hours of gameplay. The second part is out later this year and adds another 20 to 30 hours. English and Japanese voice options are both available.
Set in a multi-dimensional universe, Fantasian focuses on Leo, who awakens in a mysterious land with only a single memory. A strange "mechanical" infection is taking over the world and along with learning more about it, the player will also set about to recover Leo's memories. In the backdrop, gods are scheming and the balance of Chaos and Order is at stake.
The main calling card of Fantasian is its hand-crafted environments which utilize over 150 real-life dioramas. The battle system is also unique, letting players send previous foes into a separate dimension, while the soundtrack is composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. Considering this may be Sakaguchi's final project, it should be interesting to see how Fantasian pans out. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
Destiny 2 – Ada-1 Will Sell Charged With Light and Warmind Mods in Season 14
Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen is still in progress but Season 14 is arguably more anticipated among fans. That's when transmog is finally added to the game with Ada-1 serving as the primary vendor for the same. In a new weekly update, Bungie outlined other functions that Ada will perform, including selling a random armor mod and a random Combat Style mod each day.
The Combat Style mods will be chosen from the Charged With Light and Warmind Cell groups, allowing players to more reliably obtain them. Every week, an armor set from the World Loot Pool will also be sold with a random stat roll. If that weren't enough, Upgrade Modules, Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards can also be obtained from her.
Where does that leave Banshee-44? Starting in Season 14, the Gunsmith will retain all the other items but won't sell armor mods. He will offer six randomly chosen weapons from the World Loot Pool (two each from the Kinetic, Power and Energy categories) with random rolls. It's not Armsday from Destiny 1 but it's still a decent replacement. Stay tuned for more details on upcoming changes in the meantime.
