Cruis'n Blast Tracks Highlighted in New Trailer


Discover some of the places people will go in Raw Thrills' Cruis'n Blast with the latest trailer for the game.

The title will feature 29 thrilling tracks that are spread across six different tours. Races like Space Attack, Dino Janeiro, Mountain Mayhem, British Invasion and Twister Terror will feature alien invasions, dinosaurs, police chases, mountain rallies, dangerous weather, and other challenges.

Cruis'n Blast – Track Showcase | Nintendo Switch

Originally released in arcades in 2017, Cruis'n Blast will feature local network or multiplayer split-screen, along with 23 larger-than-life vehicles.

For those wondering what cars will hit the track, the original arcade release featured the Lamborghini Huracan, Lamborghini Countach, Lamborghini Diablo, Lamborghini Veneno, Lamborghini Aventador, Nissan GT-R, Chevrolet Corvette C7, and Hummer HX.

The game will come out for the Nintendo Switch on September 14, 2021.

Cosplay Wednesday – The World Ends With You's Shiki Misaki


The Reaper's Game has begun once more with the release of Square Enix's NEO: The World Ends With You. As players get ready to explore Shibuya once more, Gamers Heroes takes a look at a cosplay of one of the original players, Shiki Misaki.

Hailing from Germany, ravenic pays tribute to The World Ends With You's Shiki with her stunning cosplay. This is one of her favorite cosplays, and she really likes the cap, yellow jacket, boots and wig of the character. She is joined by ~kurui-chan as Neku.

Where's Samantha? Coming to Nintendo Switch August 19


Players will be able to take a charming and comedic trip when ROKiT Games and Respect Studios' 2D puzzle platformer Where's Samantha? Comes out for the Nintendo Switch on August 19, 2021.

Originally released on the PC via Steam this past summer, this title tells the tale of an adorable swatch of fabric named George. The apple of his eye and the love of his life Samantha has been blown away by a terrible gust of wind, and it's up to George to set off on an adventure to find her.

This title will pay host to a vibrant 2D textile world where every day items like combs stand in the way of his one true love. Players will be able to add additional layers of fabric to George to make him heavier, and can also split him into different pieces of fabric to complete puzzles. No matter what George may do, his adventure will be narrated by award-winning actor, presenter, and comedian Rufus Hound.

Zharkov: The Vortex Now in Everspace 2


The second major Early Access update to ROCKFISH Games' Everspace 2, Zharkov: The Vortex, is now available.

Packed with new locations, environments, and star bases to discover, this gas cloud area is rife with lightning storms, ruined hulks, and strong enemies. Players will take control of former clone pilot Adam as they take a deep dive into the dealings of the Grady & Brunt mining operation. Along the way, players will uncover secrets leading to mysteries of The Ancients and will discover how the factions in the game are interconnected.

One section of this update will have players navigating a remote-controlled maintenance drone through narrow tunnels, passing under laser security barriers undetected to prevent an inside job from going south. The Okkar trader Tareen will also join the roster of companions, bringing some perks along with them.

It's a double impact when Oro and Akira come to Capcom's Street Fighter V on August 16, 2021.

Originally appearing in Street Fighter III: New Generation, Oro is a 140 year old Japanese hermit that possesses the secrets of immortality. He wields the arts of Senjutsu, with a Nichirin Shou projectile, an Oni Yanma uppercut, and a Jinchuu Watari kick attack.

Meanwhile, Akira Kazama hails from Capcom's Rival Schools: United by Fate. This Taiyo High student (and later Seijyun High student) uses the Bajiquan Chinese martial artist style, packing moves like the Cyclone Dance and Releasing Dance. She also brings with her the "Rival Riverside" stage to Street Fighter V.

Street Fighter V – Summer Update 2021

It was also announced that Luke will make his way to the game as the fifth playable character for Season 5 of Street Fighter V. He will come out in November of 2021.

The game is now available for the PlayStation 4 and PC.

Ori: The Collection Coming October 12


The team at iam8bit is releasing a double dose of Ori with Ori: The Collection for the Nintendo Switch on October 12, 2021.

This collection will pay host to both Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps by Moon Studios and Xbox Games Studios.

Ori and the Blind Forest puts the spotlight on a small white guardian spirit named Ori, who teams up with the "light and eyes" of the Forest's Spirit Tree Sein to restore the forest. The title takes cues from the MetroidVania genre, with gameplay featuring platforming and puzzles.

Meanwhile, Ori and the Will of the Wisps upgrades its visuals with the inclusion of three-dimensional models played in multilayered backgrounds. The game still has roots in the MetroidVania genre, but Melee combat side quests from NPCs have also been introduced. You can read our review of the title here, which we gave a score of 90/100.

Carmageddon Tournament Coming to Wreckfest


It's a double dose of carnage with today's Carmageddon Tournament coming to Bugbear Entertainment and THQ Nordic's Wreckfest.

The monthly event for the game is the "Carnage Accumulator." In it, players have three minutes to score as many points as possible in Bleak City, wrecking AI cars and eliminating green-blooded zombies in the process.

As far as weekly events go, players can take on racing events in Bleak City or Death Canyon as they race from checkpoint to checkpoint with the "Eagle R." However, rivals and green-blooded zombies stand in players' way – it's up to you to wreck them in the process.

Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1

Everything old is new again with the release of NIS America's Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1. Featuring more than 60 hours of gameplay between two games, players will be able to dive into the strategy RPGs Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle Remastered and Soul Nomad & The World Eaters in this collection.

Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 will come out for the Nintendo Switch on August 31, 2021.

Psychonauts 2

Danger, excitement and laughs are in store with the release of Double Fine and Xbox Game Studios' Psychonauts 2 this month. As a newly graduated Psychonaut, players will take control of Raz as he uses Psi-Powers to explore the mental worlds of different players. This third-person platformer will allow Raz to finally figure out what the term "girlfriend" means.

Psychonauts 2 will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 25, 2021.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite

Developed by Cold Iron Studio in collaboration with Disney's 20th Century Games, Aliens: Fireteam Elite takes the classic sci-fi franchise and throws players right into the action. This multiplayer third-person shooter has players taking control of Colonial Marine on board the USS Endeavor as a Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, or Recon. Along the way, players will have to contend with twenty types of enemies. In order to turn the tide of battle, weapon customization and character progression are both available.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 24, 2021.

No More Heroes III

The Crownless King Travis Touchdown will make his return with the release of Grasshopper Manufacture and Marvelous Inc.'s No More Heroes III. With his Beam Katana in hand, Travis will return to Santa Destroy to defend the world from an alien invasion led by FU. As players climb the Galactic Superhero Rankings, they will be able to pull off moves with the Death Glove (like the teleporting dropkick), roll jackpots on the Slash Wheel, and activate a projectile-firing All-Armor Mode.

No More Heroes III will come out for the Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2021.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut

All would-be samurai will once again be able to step into the shoes of Jin Sakai with the release of Sucker Punch and PlayStation Studios' Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. This release will include the original game and every piece of additional content sold to date, along with a brand-new adventure on Iki Island. For those playing on the PlayStation 5, the game will feature lip sync for its Japanese voice over, haptic feedback, support for 3D audio, improved load times, and more.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut will come out for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 20, 2021.

PlayStation Now August 2021 Games Unveiled


Beginning tomorrow, Nier: Automata, Ghostrunner, and Undertale will make their way to the PlayStation Now service in August 2021.

Available through November 1, PlatinumGames and Square Enix's action RPG Nier: Automata tells the story of androids 2B and 9S, which both set out to reclaim an overrun dystopia. To fight these foes, these members of the YoRHa squad will make use of high-speed combat.

The second game coming to the PlayStation Now service in August is All in! Games and 505 Games' Ghostrunner. This title puts the spotlight on Jack the Ghostrunner, who must dash, jump, wall-run, and grapple through a number of dangerous environments. He also packs the Sensory Boost mechanic, which allows him to slow down time and dodge bullets in mid-air.

Finally, Toby Fox's Undertale is a top-down RPG adventure that tells the story of a human that falls into the world of monsters. Every enemy can be dealt with in a non-violent way, with things changing based on the choices players make. You can read our review of the PC version here, which we gave a score of 90/100.
