PCGamesN Saturday, January 29, 2022 8:05 AM So it looks like we're getting more Star Wars games. Three of them, in fact, as Titanfall and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment takes the lead on a trio of new games set in a galaxy far, far away. One is some kind of FPS, another is a sequel to the acclaimed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but it's the third one that we're most looking forward to. Hold onto your butts folks, we're getting a new Star Wars strategy game. But what form is it going to take? Where is it going to be set? How many Bothans will have to die to bring us this information? We can't know for sure right now. All we do know is that it's not being developed by Respawn directly, instead they'll assist with production. The bulk of development is being handled by Bit Reactor, a brand-new studio staffed by a number of ex-XCOM devs, which aims to "usher in the future" of turn-based tactics games. That means we're probably not going to get the Empire of War sequel we all want, but what if we get the XCOM 3 we deserve instead? |
PCGamesN Saturday, January 29, 2022 7:49 AM As part of the latest Warframe devstream held last night, developer Digital Extremes revealed that the next expansion will be called Angels of the Zariman. The DLC will be "the direct follow-up" to last month's The New War expansion, will add new game modes, and will drop as part of the Warframe 31.5 update. Warframe's The New War expansion was the last big update for the live-service game, and it paid off a few major storyline threads as well as introducing a few more. Digital Extremes has already promised to "make 2022 our best year yet" for Warframe - and now, in the latest developer live stream held yesterday, the team went through a few ways in which it's going to do that. The biggest announcement was for the Angels of the Zariman expansion coming as part of update 31.5, "the first major content update" for Warframe in 2022. According to the team, the expansion will include "at least two brand new game modes", a new quest, a new Warframe, and some "quality of life reworks". |
PCGamesN Saturday, January 29, 2022 6:34 AM Since launch, players have been struggling to play the Halo Infinite Big Team Battle mode - the 24-player bigger-map craziness - due to matchmaking problems. In a new update, the team says it believes it may have sorted the problem - but "the earliest" the BTB fix will drop isn't until Thursday. The Big Team Battle mode has frustrated Halo Infinite players since the multiplayer side surprise-launched in November with general matchmaking issues and instability problems which frequently boot players back to the lobby. Developer 343 Industries promised to fix the problems but the planned hotfix earlier this month didn't really fix anything. The good news is that senior community manager John Junyszek has promised a new patch that "should address the core issue impacting the BTB playlist", and apparently the team has run a "successful playtest" to confirm it. 343 plans to submit the BTB update on Monday, January 31, but with all the certification it has to go through at Microsoft it might take a little while for it to be applied to Halo Infinite itself. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Saturday, January 29, 2022 4:00 AM This weekend I am looping the Assault On Precinct 13 theme to build the plodding determination I will need to survive the impending NFT bonanza. I do take some comfort in the fact that NFTs are so unpopular that Riot had scramble to cover after accidentally suggesting a Valorant character liked NFTs. And I especially enjoyed Yanis Varoufakis explaining why the metacryptofungiverse sucks. But more and more companies are talking about NFTs and things will get worse, and I'll need the energy I can only get from Precinct 13 (and the amazing unused Jimmy Chambers song based on it). But the terrible future can wait, what are you playing this weekend? |

Each episode will air weekly on TBS' Sunday 5 p.m. time slot, and will appear across its network of 28 stations across Japan. There is still no confirmation on an English or Western release. Additionally, it was previously home to countless other popular anime series, including My Hero Academia, Seven Deadly Sins, and Fullmetal Alchemist. The last anime series to air in that time slot was Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. TBS uploaded a tribute video that covers all of the time slot's past series, which you can check out below. https://youtu.be/9pgqOflFwME Sunrise announced Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury back in September 2021, alongside the upcoming Cucuruz Doan's Island movie adaptation.
