PCGamesN Sunday, March 20, 2022 9:08 AM As of today's release of Chapter 3 Season 2, it looks like developer Epic Games is adding Fortnite parkour at long last - finally giving players the ability to climb ledges in one of the best battle royale games on PC. Unfortunately, it comes at a cost - you can no longer swing like Spider-Man in the game. Fortnite is well-known as one of the best building games around, but one of the most common uses of the building ability - at least, for me anyway - is just to make a staircase to access low-level roofs. Rival games such as Apex Legends and even PUBG Battlegrounds feature parkour climbing already, so it's odd that Fortnite still hasn't. As spotted on Twitter by Fortnite leaker HypeX, a short video of Fortnite gameplay shows two players jumping and climbing onto rooftops, so Epic is finally adding parkour into the game as part of Chapter 3 Season 2 - which starts today, of course, when the servers finally work. PCGamesN Sunday, March 20, 2022 7:30 AM The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Battle Pass is revealed along with a brand new season for one of the best battle royale games on PC, and developer Epic appears to be once again leaning heavily on its Marvel Comics collaboration - as it includes both Doctor Strange and Spider-Man villain The Prowler. There are a lot of Fortnite Marvel skins in the multiplayer game already, and ever since Chapter 2 Season 4's big crossover the popular comics house has had a strong connection with Epic and Fortnite. In fact, Marvel skins were available in the previous two Battle Passes - Carnage and Spider-Man - and now both the season's Tier 100 and "secret" reward characters are going comic book. Doctor Strange - whose next movie, Multiverse of Madness, is out in May - is the final Tier 100 character of the Battle Pass, and all of page 10 is dedicated to items connected to him - including a nifty magic sword and what appears to be the occult book the Darkhold, which was last seen in the Disney Plus show WandaVision. Siliconera Sunday, March 20, 2022 9:30 AM Testament is returning to Guilty Gear Strive as the game's fifth and final Season 1 DLC character. The character will be available to season pass holders starting March 28, 2022, and later appear for all players on March 31, 2022. Additionally, Arc System Works is adding a new figure mode to the game. Testament first appeared in Guilty Gear, as the host of the tournament. A human gear, Testament fights with a large scythe and their familiar, EXE Beast. In Guilty Gear Strive, Testament has a significantly different appearance compared to past iterations. Notably, they now have a black top hat and baroque-style vest and coat combo. The video shows off Testament's new design, as well as EXE Beast's two forms. At first, EXE Beast takes the form of two miniature succubi trapped in a birdcage. After Testament releases them, the blue succubus turns into a companion raven, while the pink succubus becomes Testament's scythe. During battles, Testament also has special moves where larger versions of the succubi reappear. You can check out the Guilty Gear Strive Testament introduction trailer below. https://youtu.be/I2KFm3PnMqo On the same day as Testament's release, Guilty Gear Strive will also get a free figure mode update. The new game mode will allow players to create their own diorama using the game's characters. Players will be able to modify the look of characters, as well as aspects like lighting direction, angle, poses, backgrounds, and special effects. Users can then take photos of the scene they've created, and change the appearance through saturation and other settings. Additionally, "Another Story" will release in late April 2022 and focus on some characters that did not appear in the main story of Guilty Gear Strive. Testament is the fifth DLC character to launch, following the previous release of Baiken. Alongside Testament's announcement, Arc System Works also confirmed the development of Season 2. Season 2 will reportedly add four playable characters, as well as cross-platform play between PlayStation consoles and Steam. Guilty Gear Strive is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC. Players who own the Season 1 Pass will have access to Testament on March 28, 2022, with other players getting access on March 31. Siliconera Sunday, March 20, 2022 8:00 AM Good Smile Company announced that it will release figures of Oozora Subaru and Yukihana Lamy from Hololive. The Subaru figure will be a part of the Pop Up Parade line. Lamy will be a scale figure. They are both in development, and prototypes will appear in the near future. Subaru will appear in her normal street clothes-like outfit. If Good Smile Company goes by how she looks like on the announcement picture, she will be posing with her hands up in the air. Earlier in 2022, Good Smile Company released a Nendoroid of Subaru, but pre-orders closed on March 9, 2022. Theat Nendoroid will ship out in September 2022 in Japan and November 2022 in North America. [gallery columns="1" ids="921103" link="file"] As for Lamy, she will also appear as she usually looks during streams. This will be Good Smile Company's first figure, scale or otherwise, for her. Lamy debuted as part of Hololive's fifth generation, which would make her Subaru's junior. Other VTubers who started streaming at the same time as Lamy include Omaru Polka and Shishiro Botan. During Hololive Super Expo 2022, Good Smile Company announced other upcoming Hololive figures. Aside from Subaru and Lamy, it will release Nendoroids of Nakiri Ayame, Hoshimachi Suisei, Shiranui Flare, and Shirogane Noel. Unlike the Nendoroids, you will not be able to pose or change the expressions of the Lamy or Subaru figures. The Hololive Oozora Subaru and Yukihana Lamy figures are in development.
