PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 1:17 PM While some players were disappointed that the My Time at Sandrock multiplayer side wasn't ready for launch this month, developer Panthea confirms that the chill Stardew Valley-style city-building game will add online play for up to four players "by the end of this year". The sequel to 2019's My Time at Portia released last week on Steam Early Access, and going by Steam player counts it has already been a tremendous success. However, some players may have been taken off-guard by the lack of a multiplayer mode, which the developer previously confirmed was always the plan for the sequel. In a new video, developer Panthea outlines its My Time at Sandrock multiplayer roadmap for 2022, and states that the plan is to release it as an update later this year. The team aims to hold global tests for all players in late August/early September and in October, so it seems likely the game's online side will be added in November or December 2022 - with support for up to four players. PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 12:30 PM One of the coolest Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord mods of recent years - which turns the medieval strategy game into a Warhammer game - just got its "first massive update", adding a load of new units, assets, and a devastating Celestial Wizard magic-user to the game. We first checked in with 'The Old Realms' mod for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord last year, where a group of dedicated modders brought the Warhammer fantasy game Old World setting to TaleWorlds' medieval game. It released back in September as a highly unstable 0.0.1 beta with the Empire of Man and the Vampire Counts factions. Nine months later, the mod's latest 4.3Gb update (thanks, Reddit) brings it up to version 0.2.0, and while still only in beta, it's a lot more stable. While the 'Guns of Nuln' update doesn't add in any new factions, it does add a load of improvements. First and foremost are new units, including the Beastman and the powerful Celestial Wizard magic-user. PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 11:20 AM A World of Warcraft guild populated primarily with deaf and hard of hearing members has completed the 'Ahead of the Curve' achievement in the MMO game - meaning that this hearing-impaired guild, called Undaunted, has beaten The Jailer boss and completed the difficult WoW Sepulcher of the First Ones raid on Heroic difficulty. The tough raid Sepulcher of the First Ones was added earlier this year and was originally so tricky that Blizzard had to release a patch to make it easier. The race to complete the raid on Mythic difficulty took a gruelling 18 days for some of the best World of Warcraft players around. Doing it on Heroic difficulty is still a challenge, but doing it without any voice communication? Well, Undaunted guild managed just that (via Icy Veins). Undaunted is a guild "built by and for the Deaf and hard of hearing community", and they just finished off The Jailer and bested WoW's Sepulcher of the First Ones raid without any voice chat whatsoever - which took 120 attempts, apparently. PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 10:04 AM Artwork for the new Call of Duty game has popped up on Valve's storefront, sparking hope amongst fans that a Modern Warfare 2 Steam release is on the cards - which would mark the return of the FPS game franchise to the platform after five years. The last Call of Duty game on Steam was WWII back in 2017, and from Black Ops IV onwards the series has been exclusive to Activision Blizzard's own Battle.net service on PC - including the ongoing Warzone. It was expected that the recently-revealed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would follow suit, but it's possible that might not be the case. As spotted by fans, the Steam page for certain Call of Duty games - like the DLC list for Black Ops III - features a "Call of Duty franchise" button. Up until the time of writing, that link showed the main cover art from Modern Warfare 2. The artwork disappeared while I was writing this, but you can still check it out on the original Reddit post. |
PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 8:13 AM While only a few details about the new Star Wars game have been revealed, Respawn confirms that the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor setting is five years after the last game. So when does Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 take place? Exactly the same time as the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus show. The sequel to one of the best Star Wars action-adventure games on PC, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, was properly announced this week at the Star Wars Celebration event. Despite many leaks about its existence, details are scarce - although developer Respawn and Lucasfilm confirm that Survivor is set five years after the events of Fallen Order. Fallen Order itself is set five years after Revenge of the Sith, and 14 years before A New Hope - meaning that Survivor is set 10 years after Episode III and nine years before Episode IV. The first episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show - which started this week, the same day as the Jedi: Survivor reveal - confirms that the Disney Plus series is set at the exact same time. |
PCGamesN Sunday, May 29, 2022 6:56 AM A bunch of images seemingly from the recently cancelled Marvel MMORPG have appeared online, thanks to an artist who worked on the project - and these Marvel MMO leaks make the superhero game seem inspired by the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated movie. In November 2021, Enad Global 7 announced that it had a Marvel Comics MMO game in production from the team behind DC Universe Online - Dimension Ink and Daybreak. Earlier this week, however, the company confirmed that it had cancelled its development to focus on DCUO and Lord of the Rings Online, which it also runs. The project hadn't yielded any screenshots, but now artist Ramiro Galan has posted a number of images on their ArtStation from "a cancelled Marvel MMO title". We can't be certain that these are from the Daybreak Marvel game, but Galan - who has worked with Marvel and Disney before, as well as on games such as Halo 5 and PUBG - says that the game's look was designed to "pay homage" to the vibrant, colourful style of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie. |

Siliconera Sunday, May 29, 2022 1:00 PM During Good Smile Company's WonHobby G announcements, it showed off three upcoming Hololive figures. Pop Up Parade figures of Minato Aqua and Tokino Sora will appear in the near future. The prototypes for both, as well as one of a Houshou Marine figma, already have paint on them, giving a good idea of how the final product will look. While there are no release windows yet for any of the Hololive figures, they look mostly complete. The Minato Aqua figure has her making a heart with her hands, while Tokino Sora has one arm high in the air. Both of these are Pop Up Parades, which means that they have a fixed pose you cannot change. [gallery columns="2" ids="928419,928418" link="file"] Since the Houshou Marine figure is a figma, you will be able to move her limbs and body as you wish. From the picture on the WonHobby G website, she appears to have joints on her elbows, knees, ankles, and chest. It is unclear if you will be able to remove her captain hat. [gallery columns="1" ids="928420" link="file"] Hololive is not the only VTuber group for whom Good Smile Company will release figures. During WonHobby G, it also revealed upcoming Nendoroids of Nyatasha Nyanners and Ironmouse from VShojo. While there is a painted prototype of Nyatasha, Ironmouse is still in the concept art stage. VShojo is an American-based VTuber company that primarily streams on Twitch. The Minato Aqua, Tokino Sora, and Houshou Marine Hololive figures will appear in the near future.
