PCGamesN Sunday, August 7, 2022 8:12 AM One of the most impressive Terraria mods has added a new controllable laser cannon that gives us huge Death Star vibes to the crafting game. Starlight River is a hugely ambitious mod project that overhauls Terraria with a wealth of new gear and enemy encounters. It's been in development for several years, and includes a whole range of cool trickery for melee, ranged, and mage builds among other fun features for the indie game such as wall-climbing mounts. While there's plenty of juicy details to be found on the mod's official forum thread and Twitter account, it's their latest addition that's got us really excited. The Breach Cannon is a sentry turret that can be placed on the environment and will fire a powerful laser at wherever the player's cursor is currently pointing. That by itself is pretty cool, but it's the ability to combine multiple beams together that gives it a real Star Wars Death Star cannon feel. When multiple lasers cross paths, they will be combined into a death ray that increases in size and potency with every additional contributing turret. The developers showed off the cannon in action, and it looks incredibly smooth - though the team notes that the player must be actively holding the remote to aim the beam. It's also confirmed that multiple players in co-op can "cross the streams" Ghostbusters style to maximise their damage output. PCGamesN Sunday, August 7, 2022 6:53 AM A Multiversus arcade mode joins ranked mode and new characters Rick and Morty for the season one update to the Warner Bros fighting game. Tony Huynh from developer Player First Games took to the stage to tease the game's roadmap at EVO 2022 ahead of the top eight finals, which saw the team of Nakat and Void take the crown as the first Multiversus tournament champions after fighting back from the losers' bracket. Multiversus season one has been delayed, and while there is currently no set release date on the calendar, the official Twitter account for the game promises an announcement date "very soon." Thanks to the announcement at EVO, we now know that a 'classic arcade mode' will be coming alongside the addition of ranked competition and the arrival of Morty, with his maniacal compatriot Rick set to arrive a little later down the line. While full details haven't been given about the incoming arcade mode, it's expected to see players going up against a series of AI-controlled battles much like arcade modes found in most other fighting games. It can be played in co-op with a friend, and leakers suggest that the mode will have "up to ten stages" and feature three distinct difficulty settings. The arcade mode should provide a more distinct way for players to hone their skills outside of simple bot matches before heading into player vs player bouts. Siliconera Sunday, August 7, 2022 9:00 AM During Smile Fest 2022, Good Smile Company teased upcoming anime figures, including ones from series such as Rebuild of Evangelion, Spy x Family, and Attack on Titan. All of the figures are in various stages of development. Some of them only have announcement art, while others already have a painted prototype. Good Smile Company will reveal the prices and release windows for these figures in the future. This article doesn't contain the complete list, which is available from the Smile Fest online gallery. We did, however, round up some of the highlights and the biggest titles. One other highlight from Smile Fest 2022 is the announcement of more Act Mode figures. Act Mode is a new line from GSC that combines action figures with plastic models. An Act Mode figure thus includes a pre-pained articulated action figure, and an assembleable plastic model, usually the character's gear or accessories. Several Symphogear figures, with "mecha musume"-style parts, joined the Ace Mode line. The list of anime figures from Smile Fest 2022 is: Figma

Siliconera Sunday, August 7, 2022 8:00 AM Good Smile Company teased several upcoming figures of VTubers from various units at its Smile Fest 2022 event. Hololive figures made up the majority of new announcements. However, Vsinger and Nijisanji also had new figure announcements. The figures are all in varying stages of development. It is unknown when to expect the majority of these to go on sale, though the Oozora Subaru Pop Up Parade figure and the Nakiri Ayame Nendoroid look like they are almost finished. Good Smile Company also already announced some of these figures during Anime Expo 2022. Not all of the figures that it announced at Anime Expo 2022 are in the line-up at Smile Fest 2022, however. For example, Good Smile Company had said Takanashi Kiara, Ninomae Ina'nis, Gawr Gura, and Watson Amelia figma figures are in production. However, it only showed Mori Calliope's. The Hololive, Nijisanji, and Vsinger VTubers figures from Good Smile Company are in development and will come out some time in the future. The VTubers can be seen streaming at their respective channels, or in games like Hololive Error. Siliconera Sunday, August 7, 2022 7:00 AM During Smile Fest 2022, Good Smile Company showed off some upcoming Fate/Grand Order and Tsukihime figures. There will be a total of 20 Type-Moon figures, with varying release windows for each. Some FGO figures, such as the scale figure of Caster Altria, do not even have a prototype yet. Others, such as the Tsukihime Arcueid Nendoroid figure, are in the final stages of development. The Tsukihime figures are based on the characters' appearances in Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, the remake that released in 2021. You can find the figures easily under the Fate/Grand Order or Tsukihime fandom lists. During Hobby G Spring 2022, Good Smile Company showed off the prototype for the Arcueid Brunestud. At the time, however, she did not have paint. All of the Tsukihime figures use the designs from the remake version of the game. Arcueid is also one of the new Servants in the Japanese version of Fate/Grand Order. She appears as Archetype Earth and is part of the game's 7th Anniversary. She appears in-game as a member of the Moon Cancer class. The Tsukihime and Fate/Grand Order figures from Good Smile Company are in development, and will come out some time in the future. Fate/Grand Order itself is available on iOS and Android, while the remake of Tsukihime is available on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Japan.
