PCGamesN Monday, August 15, 2022 6:03 AM  The Multiversus season 1 patch offers a variety of small and large changes to the free-to-play, crossover PC fighting game, including nerfs for Batman, XP boosts, and new perks. The full patch notes also confirm the release date for Rick and Morty's Morty, the perfect way to mark today's Multiversus season 1 release date. Starting with Multiversus season 1, XP rewards for wins will be boosted from 5 XP to 10, whereas XP rewards for losses will increase from 3 XP to 5. Season 1 missions will also be easier to complete as their requirements have been reduced. Rather than 75, you will now need to ringout a player from the top of the map 50 times, for example, and provide only 50 assists as opposed to 125. The goal here, seemingly, is to kickstart your experience with the full version of Multiversus by giving you plenty of XP and completed objectives. Batman players, however, may be a little dismayed. The first half of the Multiversus season 1 patch launches August 15, to be shortly followed by a second half "in the next few days", according to Warner Bros. Games. That second half of the patch will add three recovery frames if Batman misses his ground slide attack, and also create a bigger cooldown window between batarang throws, giving opponents a greater chance to counter. Each update arrives with a new banner (or two) that lasts three weeks, followed by a second phase of banners which also lasts three weeks (barring any delays), at which point a new major update will drop. Wondering what the next Genshin Impact banner is? We never know the exact details until banners are officially announced during the livestreams that precede each update. Occasionally, banners don't stick to the typical schedule - most notably, update 1.3 had three two-week banners, so that Hu Tao's banner didn't cross over with the Chinese New Year. We also know that, for Genshin Impact 3.0 through 3.2 at least, these versions will last five weeks instead of six, so each phase will be shorter. Every limited-time character banner - or Event Wish - contains a five-star character, and three four-star characters with increased drop rates. There's also a Weapon banner - Epitome Invocation - which runs alongside each character banner, which changes weapons every update. But it's ok, isn't it? After all, the person in front of you has committed a crime and must be rehabilitated; reckless driving, hit and run, and arson. So, you get to work. Talking to Unid allows you to build a rapport and understand their motivations. You learn about their past. They talk of their difficult childhood, pets, a lack of support - broken systems that left them behind and put them on their current path. It doesn't matter. You have a job to do. And now, with that bit of knowledge, you've found the 'bug' in their programming. After initiating a hack on their brain, you eradicate this flaw, forcefully transforming their mind into a paradise of purity. Unid will never commit another crime again. That's Circus Electrique, a turn-based RPG that's much more lighthearted than its Darkest Dungeon counterpart (and seemingly main inspiration). But after playing a preview of the game's first mission, there's more than meets the eye in this part steampunk RPG, part circus tycoon management sim. You play as Amelia, a young, bold journalist returning to London to cover the grand re-opening of the Circus Electrique. A metaphorical spanner gets lobbed into the works, however, as the ceremony is interrupted with news that London's citizens have started attacking each other (more than your average fisticuffs to get on the tube). Oddly, this doesn't seem to have affected Amelia and your motley circus troupe, who venture out into London's dangerous streets to find answers. |

As part of the 10th Anniversary Project for Psycho-Pass, another movie, Psycho-Pass Providence, is in development. The key visual features all the main characters who will appear in the movie standing, with protagonist Akane Tsunemori in the middle. [Thanks, Famitsu!] The Psycho-Pass radio show will also return after ten years. Like before, the hosts will be Tomokazu Seki (who voices Kogami) and Kenji Nojima (who voices Ginoza). From September 3, 2022, the Noitamina Shop and Cafe Theater will release limited merchandise and food items for Psycho-Pass. They will be available for a year at Aqua City in Odaiba. As well, there will be an online exhibition for Psycho-Pass from December 2, 2022 to February 28, 2023. The Sibyl System governs Japan, and it is a computer network that analyzes the citizens' "Crime Coefficient," which is their likeliness to commit crime. When it reaches a certain number, Enforcers from the PSB go to arrest them before they can pose a danger to the public. Psycho-Pass ran for two seasons, before receiving a movie, Psycho-Pass: The Movie. A three-film project, Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System, opened in 2019, along with Psycho-Pass 3, a third season with adjusted per-episode length. The Psycho-Pass Providence movie is in development. Psycho-Pass is readily available on streaming services such as Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime Video. Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation will release for the PS4 following its launch on the Nintendo Switch earlier this month. The release date for the latest Shin-Chan title will be on August 25, 2022. The release date for the PC version has not yet appeared. [Thanks, Gematsu!] A listing for the Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation on the PlayStation Store states that the game is set to release on August 25, 2022. However, the release date has not appeared on the game's official website as of writing. It will only be available digitally. Neos originally released the game back in July 2021 as a Japan-exclusive title for the Nintendo Switch. Following a relatively successful release, the company announced a global release for the Nintendo Switch, as well as the PS4 and PC. The game follows the titular protagonist Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara as he joins his family on a summer vacation out in the countryside. The game's official website detailed some of the notable additions that come with the localization, including English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese language support. The game's Steam page also notes that it will feature Japanese, Korean, and Chinese voiceover and subtitle options. Movic has released household items that resemble the Soul Gems from Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion. The Soul Gems it chose to replicate are the ones that belong to Madoka, Ultimate Madoka, Homura, and Devil Homura. Goods include items such as table lamps and a rug. [Thanks, Famitsu!] Not all of the items are obviously anime merchandise at first glance. This means that those who are uncomfortable with showcasing their love of anime around house guests can place them at home without immediately tipping anyone off. The Soul Gem lamps are very obviously anime but the box stool only has a Soul Gem design on the inside when you open it, for example. The prices for the items are:

A new "cheat code" shared by the company unlocks a new level of challenge for players to take on, in the form of Matt himself. Nintendo of America shared the code on August 12, 2022 via its official account. https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica/status/1558106791715766273 The code is activated by pressing ZR+R +A or Z+L+→ on the game's difficulty select screen. When used in the Nintendo Switch Sports Fencing mode, this unlocks "Legend" difficulty, and summons Matt. Matt is a recurring character from Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, its sequel. Created using the same tools used to make Mii characters, Matt was the highest-difficulty AI player in Wii Sports' Boxing and Wii Sports Resorts' Chambara modes. Players who defeated Matt in Boxing mode earned a pair of silver boxing gloves to outfit their Miis with. Matt was difficult enough that he became the subject of memes among players nostalgic for Wii Sports. Now he returns to menace the non-Mii characters populating Nintendo Switch Sports. The cheat code only summons Matt in Fencing mode, but using it in other modes, like the newly-added Soccer, summons Legend-level Mii characters as well. Pre-orders of books from Type-Moon Manuscript and Avalon le Fae are available online from Toranoana and Melon Books. These two books are manuscripts and materials from Takebouki, which is Takashi Takeuchi and Nasu Kinoko's doujin circle. While they are doujin books, they have canon material, as well as behind-the-scenes information from properties such as Tsukihime and Fate/Grand Order. Other books, including Type-Moon Manuscript, are physically available at Comiket 100. [Thanks, Famitsu!] They are available via Toranoana and Melon Books. Though Toranoana does not inherently have international shipping (meaning you will need to get it through a proxy service if you're outside Japan), Melon Books does. Type-Moon Manuscript costs 1650 JPY (around $12.35) and Avalon le Fae Synopsys costs 550 JPY ($4.10). Type-Moon Manuscript is under the Tsukihime category. But it also encompasses other related works Type-Moon released afterwards. The book has information on the characters or settings from Tsukihime and related works. The information did not make it into the final product, but is canon nonetheless. There are also drafts, as well as a script of a drama CD. As for Avalon le Fae Synopsys [sic], this is a book that summarizes the plot of Lostbelt 6 prior to when they started working on it. Aside from information that will help to answer some questions from the actual game, you can see some of the initial drafts and ideas. Avalon le Fae Synopsys is made-to-order, which means that you will not be able to purchase it at Comiket 100. Avalon le Fae Synopsys and Type-Moon Manuscript are available for pre-order online until August 21, 2022.
