Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 9:50 PM In case you weren't already aware, Battlefield 2042 is a game that was released in the middle of a pandemic without anywhere near enough design work or testing being done for such a flagship release. Our latest reminder of this comes in the form of an update which will kinda undo one of its major selling points at… |

Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 7:30 PM The last we heard of the attempt to remake Bioware's classic Star Wars RPG Knights Of The Old Republic, two of the game's lead developers had been fired and a game originally hoping for a 2022 release was now looking at 2025. A fresh report now paints an even bleaker picture. |
Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 7:15 PM If playing a remake of a game that's already been remastered doesn't float your boat, maybe you'd be down for a live-action The Last of Us TV show that's nearly a shot-for-shot remake of Naughty Dog's 2013 PS3 smash hit? Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 4:55 PM Facing criticism of your own creative work can be challenging. I should know. Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 4:45 PM Elden Ring is full of memorable characters, such as "guy covered in shit" and "woman who has sex with dead people," but few have raised as many questions Goldmask, a decrepit husk of a man who is introduced in the starting cutscene for the open-world game. He's an important character, to be sure, with an entire ending… |

Kotaku Monday, August 22, 2022 3:20 PM If you haven't noticed, 2022 has far and away become the year of media conglomerates capitalizing on ownership of disparate properties. PCGamesN Monday, August 22, 2022 7:12 PM The upcoming Wanted: Dead zombie game is giving us major Bayonetta vibes with a hint of Yakuza thrown in the quieter moments of its new release date trailer. Wanted: Dead's release date is set for February 14, and developer Soleil Ltd showed off an extensive slice of gameplay in the new release date trailer. The hack-'n'-slash combat might be heavier and gorier than we see with Bayonetta, but there's almost no denying the flash, slick moves, and over-the-top style draw inspiration from Platinum's campy witch, albeit with massive guns instead of hair-fueled demon powers. PCGamesN Monday, August 22, 2022 6:41 PM Following Bloomberg's report on the indefinite KOTOR remake delay in July, people familiar with the project now tell Jason Schreier Embracer has taken the space RPG from Aspyr and given it to Saber Interactive to complete. Schreier's sources asked not to be named, though Embracer may have referred to the development change in its recent financial report, where the media juggernaut said it was transferring one of its AAA projects to another studio within Embracer Group. PCGamesN Monday, August 22, 2022 6:00 PM Slightly Mad issued a Project Cars delist announcement on Twitter, citing the expiration of existing car and track licenses as the reason for taking the racing game off storefronts. The team will also delist Project Cars 2 for the same reason, though you have a bit of time before both games disappear off storefronts for good. Project Cars' delisting will take place on October 3, and Project Cars 2 will vanish on September 21. RELATED LINKS: Project Cars System Requirements |

PCGamesN Monday, August 22, 2022 3:32 PM A new screenshot from the Haunted Chocolatier game, a life game from Stardew developer Eric Barone, surfaced on Twitter courtesy of the developer himself, and it looks quite a bit weirder than we expected. In a good way. Last time, Barone shared a progress update image that highlighted subtle changes in Haunted Chocolatier's approach to graphics and environment design, changes such as lightning, detail, and even how it renders clothes. This time, it's a giant bee presiding over a honeycomb hell complete with spikes and other traps. RELATED LINKS: Upcoming PC Games |
PCGamesN Monday, August 22, 2022 5:12 PM All the statistics about the size of the Total War Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires map, about the number of settlements and regions as compared with its predecessor - they're all just numbers. They're inadequate preparation for actually getting your hands on it. After all the time spent in the previous version of this multi-game mashup, I notice the assumption form that, after a few seconds of scrolling, I would be halfway across the map. It's disorientating to find instead that I'm barely a quarter. It just keeps going. RELATED LINKS: Total War: Warhammer 3 DLC, Total War: Warhammer 3 races, Total War: Warhammer 3 review |

Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Monday, August 22, 2022 6:59 PM More than any other citybuilder, Cities: Skylines requires deep engagement with its traffic simulation. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Monday, August 22, 2022 4:13 PM Everyone is rightly tired of games being compared to Dark Souls, but I feel like it's allowed in the case of Soulframe. It's being made by Digital Extremes and it trades the science fiction of Warframe for fantasy. Bonfires play a role. There's melee sword combat. What more do you need to know? Well, if the answer is "some more", then there were a handful of extra details in a developer livestream this evening. |

Siliconera Monday, August 22, 2022 4:00 PM Japanese voice actor Motomu Kiyokawa died at 87 years old on August 17, 2022, at 11:10 AM JST due to pneumonia. His agency Haikyo broke the news on August 22, 2022. The agency's board chairman Kouji Asada added that his funeral service was conducted only with close relatives to honor the request from the surviving family. Motomu Kiyokawa began his voice-acting career in the 1964 anime adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Big X. Since then, he had voiced mostly elderly men in many titles. Some of Kiyokawa's most famous roles include Amuro's father Tem Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam, NERV's deputy commander Kozo Fuyutsuki in Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Rachel Alucard's butler Valkenhayn R. Hellsing in the BlazBlue fighting game series. Additionally, he voiced Rain Mikamura's father in Mobile Fighter G Gundam. Kiyokawa's voice also appeared in the Japanese voiceovers for several Square Enix games, such as Louisoix Leveilleur in Final Fantasy XIV and Domino, the mayor of Midgar, in Final Fantasy VII Remake. Motomu Kiyokawa also had important roles in several anime titles that were included in the Super Robot Wars game series. He was Jose, one of the Eldora Soul pilots from Gun X Sword that had voice appearances in Super Robot Wars T and Super Robot Wars 30. He also voiced Gargoyle, the villain of Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water that appeared in Super Robot Wars X. Despite not being voiced in the games, Kiyokawa also provided the voice for the Izu Base commander Laker Randolph in the anime adaptations of Super Robot Wars: Original Generations. PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, August 22, 2022 5:00 PM Earlier this year, news came out that the creator of the Yakuza franchise, Toshihiro Nagoshi, formed his own development team after leaving Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio in late 2021. Under this new studio, dubbed Nagoshi Studio, the former Sega employee planned to craft a game that exceeded the scope of the already massive Yakuza titles. Of course, he refrained from revealing any specifics about this new project at the time, and he remains mostly tight-lipped about it to this day. Having said that, the Yakuza creator did recently share a few small nuggets of information regarding his vision for this mysterious new game. This news came courtesy of an interview that Nagoshi had with German outlet 4Players. He stated that his upcoming project will feature a healthy mixture of drama, comedy, and intense violence, much like the Yakuza series. Specifically, he wants the game's tone to resemble that of a typical Quentin Tarantino film, which similarly injects humor to lighten the weight... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, August 22, 2022 4:30 PM The long-awaited Slime Rancher 2 is almost here and will enter Early Access on September 22, as confirmed on the Steam community forums earlier today. Since this is an Early Access release, players should expect the game to have a few rough edges. Slime Rancher 2 will also be missing a few features when it launches in Early Access. Alongside the announcement, series director Nick Popovich took to Reddit to discuss the Early Access launch further. The pre-launch FAQ goes into most of the things you need to know about the upcoming launch and sets expectations as well. Popovich also notes that the first Slime Rancher had a similar Early Access experience, so long-term fans should know what to expect. Try out Slime Rancher 2 next month Slime Rancher 2's Early Access launch will feature a "big world to explore, many different slimes to collect and combine, and an introduction to the game story" to kick things off. Popovich also makes sure to say that this is an intr... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Monday, August 22, 2022 4:00 PM Folks have been waiting for a sequel to the bizarre sci-fi game Flashback for three decades at this point. Earlier in the year, Microids answered the call by announcing a new iteration to arrive this winter. However, Flashback 2 is sadly going to miss its 30-year anniversary, as the game is delayed until 2023. Well, it should be a happy 31st birthday. The unfortunate news was shared earlier this morning on Microids' Twitter account. After thanking fans for their support, the company wrote that it made "the decision to push the game release back to 2023. A more accurate launch date will be shared at a later time." Microids didn't specify the reason for the delay, nor a release window. The publisher also didn't do the usual thing and explain it'll take the time for polish and squashing bugs. But I'll assume that's what's going to be the play here — most game delays are either needed for these reasons (or for avoiding the ... |

Epos is currently selling some of its top-of-the-line gaming headsets at discounted prices with its latest deals. With these discounts, you can shave around $50 off of the MSRP, but you'll need to act quickly since these discounts are only available until August 31. Epos' line of headsets is well known at this point for being a worthy option in the headset market, going up against stiff competition like HyperX, SteelSeries, and Logitech. But even among some of the heavy hitters, Epos headsets are more than capable of standing on their own. At the usual price, it's harder to justify choosing these over other notable brands. SteelSeries' Arctis Nova Pro is an especially tough competitor. However, Epos' deals on its gaming headsets are worth looking over.
