Blizzard also notes that there will not be a content update in two weeks time as is its usual update schedule, because the team is preparing for the first "major update" to the RPG game set to arrive in late September. Diablo Immortal patch 1.5.5 goes live on August 31 at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am BST / 12pm CEST for servers in Europe and the Americas, following a two hour server maintenance period. Servers in Oceania, China, East Asia, and Southeast Asia will see the patch go live on August 30 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET (August 31 at 1am BST / 2am CEST / 8am CST / 10am AEST). Leading the charge for this Diablo Immortal update are the new dual Helliquary bosses, Gishtur and Beledwe. Along with being rather a mouthful to say, Diablo Immortal's fourth Helliquary boss fight arrives on September 2 and is set to push the challenge up even more with a base recommended combat rating of 4665, compared to previous boss Gorgothra the Claimer's combat rating of 2935 for its base difficulty (with the third tier set at 5205 CR). The deal was announced by FromSoftware's parent company, Kadokawa Corporation, with both companies previously having previous minor investments in the developer. The deal was announced in a press release published by Kadokawa Corporation president Takeshi Tasuno (via Gematsu). Sony Interactive Entertainment is expected to increase its previously minor investment in FromSoftware to a total of 14.09% of the developer's total shares, while Tencent Holdings is to increase its investment to 16.25% of FromSoftware's shares through its subsidiary group Sixjoy Hong Kong Limited. Sony's further investment has already sparked plenty of rumours online about the possibility of additional collaboration projects with FromSoftware. While the Elden Ring and Dark Souls IP rights are owned by their publisher Bandai Namco, Sony has previously published both Demon's Souls and Bloodborne from the Japanese development studio - meaning that many fans are now speculating about the possibility of a Bloodborne sequel or a new original game in partnership with Sony following this deal. The copyright for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, while published by Activision, actually sits with FromSoftware themselves. GitHub user snesrev reverse engineered A Link to the Past, also known as Zelda 3, and created a native PC port of the game that's completely playable – so long as you have the ROM yourself. |

But in a surprising turn of events, I left thinking the game was a real highlight of my time in Cologne's multi-hall maze of excellent people and overpriced schnitzel. And most importantly, the guns didn't annoy me at all! In fact, their craic contributed a great deal to my enjoyment of the strangest FPS I've played in a while - one where I was forever grinning at the screen like an idiot. If you're a fan of Rick And Morty from before it got weird to be a fan of Rick And Morty (or Squanch Games' back catalogue, or general bizarro laughs), this is one for the wishlist. |

Back in March 2022, Cygames announced that Dragalia Lost would end service, and now we have a concrete date for that: November 29, 2022. Players are no longer able to purchase diamantium. As well, any packs or upgrades that you can purchase with diamantium will no longer be available as of October 30, 2022. Players will not be able to top off diamantium or purchase anymore items with them. However, they can do anything else until the final day of Dragalia Lost. This will include summoning new characters, constructing the Halidom, recovering getherwings, and such. After service ends, you will no longer be able access the game at all. Dragalia Lost originally came out in September 2018 as a collaboration between Cygames and Nintendo. It made over $3 million within the first five days, and over 800,000 people installed it. Though its reception has been mixed, it received a nomination for "Portable Game of the Year" during the 22nd Annual D.I.C.E. Awards. This is not the only mobile game that will end service later this year. Square Enix recently announced that Deep Insanity: Asylum will no longer be available from October 31, 2022. Like Dragalia Lost, players will no longer be able to put money into the game for in-game currency. Dragalia Lost is available on mobile devices until November 29, 2022, when it will end service. Netflix and Nippon TV have entered into a partnership, and as a result, the streaming service will be adding 13 new anime titles to its lineup. While most titles will be added at a later, unspecified date (or dates), 3 of them will be coming very soon. The first 38 episodes of Hunter x Hunter, all 26 episodes of Ouran High School Host Club, and all 26 episodes of Claymore will begin streaming on September 1, 2022. [Thanks, ANN!] The complete list of titles coming to Netflix is as follows. They are listed in the order in which Netflix will stream them.
Hunter x Hunter will be available to stream in 104 countries upon the addition of its first 38 episodes. The remaining 110 episodes will be added sometime in the future. Additionally, Ouran High School Host Club will be available in 190 countries, Claymore in 136 countries, and the 3 Death Note titles in 14 countries. Information on the number of countries the other 7 titles will be available to stream in was not given, though some have appeared in Netflix's anime rotation previously in certain regions. Among the titles being added, only Hunter x Hunter, Berserk, and Hajime no Ippo still have their original manga series ongoing. Notably, Hunter x Hunter will be releasing new chapters after a more than 3-and-a-half-year hiatus, and Berserk is continuing following creator Kentaro Miura's death. Hajime no Ippo, on the other hand, has been releasing new chapters in Weekly Shonen Magazine with relative consistency since 1989. Netflix will begin adding its 13 new anime titles on September 1, 2022, with Hunter x Hunter, Ouran High School Host Club, and Claymore. Kadokawa has announced that Sony Interactive Entertainment and Tencent subsidiary Sixjoy Hong Kong Limited have bought a minority stake in developer FromSoftware. The purchased stock amounts to approximately ¥36 billion (about $260 million), making up 30.34% of the company's stock. [Thanks, PR Times!] The purchase was finalized on August 31, 2022, after a meeting of executives at FromSoftware. Specifically, both companies are spending a combined ¥36,399,550,000. After the purchase, Sixjoy will own 16.25% of the company while Sony will own 14.09%. FromSoftware's parent company Kadokawa will continue to remain the majority stakeholder, holding 69.66% of the developer's shares. Founded in 1986, FromSoftware has created numerous award-winning titles across several generations. Notably, the company has had a close relationship with Sony since the release of the PlayStation 3 exclusive Demon's Souls in 2009. Since then, the company has created several popular franchises including Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and, most recently, Elden Ring. Furthermore, Tencent and its Japanese subsidiary Tencent Japan have also had an ongoing relationship with Kadokawa. Back in October 2021, Tencent announced that it would invest $264 million in the Japanese publisher. The two companies are working jointly to promote Kadokawa's anime and games worldwide. Tencent holds large stakes in many game companies, like Epic Games, and Riot Games, and Soleil. During the presentation, the company showed Lies of P, a Bloodborne inspired souls-like running on a pre-production version of the new GPU on ultra settings with 4K resolution. A first-person shooter set in a hellish maze, Scathe places you as a messenger of death unleashed by a celestial "god" to track down and face his diabolical twin brother. The two beings chatter away as you face the hordes of Hell. One typically explains the game, while the other playfully taunts you.
