Halo Infinite local co-op is cancelled, and Season 3 is delayed

Despite a 2017 pledge never to skip split-screen co-op in another Halo game, 343 Industries announced today that the feature has been scrapped from the Halo Infinite roadmap. In an update video, developers said Halo Infinite local co-op resources have been redirected to other areas in need of improvement, particularly the FPS game's live service component - which itself is seeing Season 3 delayed to March 2023.

Tempest Rising devs hope that EA

Tempest Rising devs say they hope to, let's say, inspire EA to make a new Command & Conquer game after a decade of waiting. There are some clear Tempest Rising-Command and Conquer parallels that can be drawn, with the upcoming RTS game taking some obvious inspiration from the classic series first developed by Westwood and now owned by EA. Speaking to PCGamesN during Gamescom, Slipgate talked about its love for C&C as well as how it hopes to join games like Age of Empires 4 at the vanguard of an RTS revival.

Multiple members of the Tempest Rising development team have a long history with Command and Conquer - between them, there are credits on the likes of C&C fansite CNCNZ.com, one of the biggest C&C community sites since the late '90s, along with the C&C wiki and in-depth RTS blog Wayward Strategy (run by Tempest Rising's lead designer Brandon Casteel). Safe to say, then, that they're fans of the series - but they've been left wanting after a decade without any new C&C releases save for mobile spin-off Command and Conquer: Rivals.

Asked about the similarities to EA's series, the response is one of hope: "To be honest, if this means that EA will - forgive my French - get off its ass and make a new Command & Conquer game as it should be made, I'm down for it." Tempest Rising's closer camera angles give the game a more personal feel, however, perhaps more Warcraft 3 than C&C. Given how closely a lot of the game hews to EA's classic series, this feels like a deliberate choice. There's even a population cap - although developer Mateo Vekovic assures us that you'll never need to hit it.

The current Genshin Impact Tighnari and Zhongli banners have produced high sales numbers during their first week, despite the fact that HoYoverse has already revealed three enticing new characters that'll be coming to the game in version 3.1. This is Zhongli's fourth rerun and Tighnari will join the standard banner in the next update, so it's surprising to see this much money being spent on the pair just before an update that's bringing much more limited content to the table.

Dead by Daylight killers tier list: all 28 deadly characters ranked

On the prowl for a DBD killers tier list? Six years in, the Dead by Daylight character roster is bigger than ever, boasting a massive 29 killers at the time of writing, and a further 33 survivors. Thanks to that huge list of names, it's certainly difficult to keep track of who you should main. Combined with the July 2022 overhaul of 40 killer and survivor perks which has completely shifted the game, there's even more to consider.

The joy of an asymmetrical horror game has always been the ability to be the bad guy. While there's certainly something thrilling about putting yourself in the shoes of a survivor (there must be a reason we all wonder how we'd do in a zombie apocalypse, right?), nothing gets the heart racing like shirking the lawful-good responsibilities of real life and taking on the role of a blood-thirsty killer. Every one of the following DBD killers has their own terrifying unique power, from ranged axe throws, to infectious bile and close-range chainsaw attacks. But which is best? River City Girls Zero coming to more platforms and PC Steam

River City Girls Zero will appear on more platforms. Arc System Works has published a Japanese website for the game, which will be known in the country as Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio-tachi no Banka -with River City Girls Extra-. The Japanese Switch release, along with the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC versions, will appear digitally on September 22, 2022.

Japanese and English subtitles and voiceovers will appear in all builds by default. The additional subtitles on the Switch and PlayStation platforms will depend on the user's region. The Japanese and Asian versions will include Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese. The Western releases will instead feature French, Italian, German, and Spanish. The Xbox and PC versions will be a universal build containing all of the aforementioned languages.

Arc System Works has also uploaded a new Japanese trailer for River City Girls Zero:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCknKQVinK4

River City Girls Zero is an enhanced port of the 1994 Japan-exclusive Super Famicom (SNES) game, Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio-tachi no Banka. WayForward first revealed the title at Limited Run Games' live stream in mid-June 2021, with the same year as its initial release window. However, it later delayed the game's release to 2022.

WayForward eventually released the game on Nintendo Switch first on February 14, 2022. But despite including Japanese language support, the game never actually appeared on the Japanese Nintendo eShop prior to today's announcement by Arc System Works.

River City Girls Zero is currently available for the Nintendo Switch in the West. The Japanese version, along with the global releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam, will appear on September 22, 2022.

Persona 5 the Stage episode 4 Final - Joker and Panther

Atlus has updated the Persona 5 stage play website with details about the upcoming fourth part, which it also marked as the last one. The company will hold Persona 5 the Stage #4 Final in late October, with six performances scheduled for four consecutive days.

When the first stage play appeared in December 2019, it only covered the first few hours of the game's storyline that takes place at Shujin High School. However, successive shows would continue the storyline as the series aims to complete the whole story. The second part in December 2020 went through the third arc in the game's story. The third iteration in December 2021 covered the fourth and fifth arcs starring Futaba Sakura and Haru Okumura, respectively.

As the title indicates, the upcoming fourth and final part will depict the climactic arcs of Persona 5. However, the original 2016 RPG title serves as the basis for this stage play series. As such, it will not include characters who debuted in the enhanced Persona 5 Royal and the direct sequel Persona 5 Strikers.

The webpage also revealed the cast list for Persona 5 the Stage #4 Final. Most of the actors who performed in prior chapters will return in this finale. The only exception is Yuki Mishima, who was portrayed by Taishu Nukanobu in the first two parts and Shougo Tamura in the third iteration.

  • The Protagonist "Joker" - Hiroki Ino
  • Ryuji "Skull" Sakamoto - Kouhei Shiota
  • Ann "Panther" Takamaki - Yuki Odera
  • Yusuke "Fox" Kitagawa - Kouji Kominami
  • Makoto "Queen" Niijima - Akari Ishizuka
  • Futaba "Navi/Oracle" Sakura - Mei Fukuda
  • Haru "Noir" Okumura - Riko Sugahara
  • Goro "Crow" Akechi - Yoshihide Sasaki
  • Morgana "Mona" (voice) - Ikue Otani
  • Yuki Mishima - Takuto Nakajima
  • Sae Niijima - Kaoru Marimura
  • Masayoshi Shido - Tyson Ohya

Public ticket sales for the stage show will open on September 3, 2022. A ticket will cost 12,800 yen (~$92). All ticket owners will be able to choose their seat locations and receive a special CD containing fourteen songs performed by the main actors.

Persona 5 the Stage #4 Final will appear at KT Zepp Yokohama on October 20-23, 2022.

Epic Games Store free Hundred Days gridThe first day of September has finally arrived, which means that the Epic Games Store has begun its three-game free offer that we covered a few days ago. But say you have no interest in Shadow of the Tomb Raider or any of the other games included in the giveaway. From September 8 until September 15, players can claim both Hundred Days and the Realm Royale Reforged Epic Launch Bundle without having to pay a penny. For whatever reason, the Epic Games Store page for Hundred Days explains next to nothing about the game, whereas the Steam page does the opposite. The Steam page states that Hundred Days gives players control over a winery, hence the subtitle Winemaking Simulator.   What more? Players will have to follow nearly every step of the winemaking process, which includes deciding "which vines to grow" and learning "h...

If you're a fan of Souls-likes and the hard-hitting combat of the latest God of War, then this Flintlock gameplay may get you excited. It's fairly clear where Flintlock is taking its inspiration. With the camera suited close to the protagonists back, we see how powerful swings, near-perfect dodges, and takedowns blend together during fights. The camera even zooms in during these said takedowns, giving you a closer look at the brutality.   Of course, there's also some Souls in the mix. Bloodborne-esque quickstepping looks like an important tool to avoid damage. It's also hard to ignore the panic rolls briefly made by whoever was recording this Flintlock game...

Ubisoft Anno 2070 UpdateUbisoft made a lot of players unhappy a few months ago with the news that the online functions for its older titles would be terminated. This isn't necessarily the company's fault, though. After all, technology eventually becomes obsolete, and it's easier to terminate these functions than support them for a handful of players. However, Ubisoft has an update for players affected by this. It also has an update planned for Anno 2070. Previously, Ubisoft's intention was to terminate the online services for some of its titles on September 1. These include Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Far Cry 3 to name a few. And Ubisoft still plans to terminate these online services, it's just that the date has been pushed back. The new date for termination is now October 1. This should give players more time to purchase or download any remaining DLC for these titles. It's also worth noting that this is only a...

One question was answered by the head of publishing at DON'T NOD, which will be reflected in the bolded name prior to the answers. PCI: What was the main influence behind the watercolor-esque visual design? SM&HVK: The Artistic Direction is inspired by a period in Nordic impressionism, and specifically the Skagen Painters. The Danish countryside doesn't have great mountains or grand architecture, but there is a special beauty to find in this flat, cold, and sparse world. The loneliness and expansiveness, the colors, and light of the north, the small cozy Danish villages, though under the pressure of the occupation, are one of a kind and full of atmosphere. The Skagen Painters really capture the beauty of this environment. These Nordic paintings w...
