Project Zomboid build 42 will allow spooky basements and sewers

One of the most surprising things about Project Zomboid is how genuinely frightening it can be, despite the outwardly friendly visuals. Developer The Indie Stone is planning on making things quite a bit scarier, however - with some upcoming changes to the survival game's underlying technology, soon we'll be faced with exploring subterranean levels like basements and sewers. And they're going to be very, very dark.

WoW WotLK Elemental Shaman guide: PvE and PvP talents, leveling

The WoW WotLK Elemental Shaman is a force of nature - literally. Bending the elements to their will, they're incredibly powerful if you have the right talent build, so here's a rundown of what you'll need for PvP and PvE, as well as how to level quickly in Blizzard's MMO.

Shamans are one of WoW WotLK Classic's more obscure classes. Split into three different specs (Elemental, Enhancement, and Restoration), they can be played as a DPS or healer depending which path you choose to follow. Elemental Shaman is the damage specialisation, armed to the teeth with nature's fury and determined to make mincemeat of her enemies. That's provided you have the right build and the will to grind through the leveling process though, because despite their magical prowess they're one of the harder classes to play in the early stages of the game.

     FIFA 23 chemistry guide

The FIFA 23 chemistry system has received its biggest overhaul since the beginning of Ultimate Team. No longer will you have to sweat over getting the right player for the right position just for chemistry's sake, as the new system in the football game is a lot more forgiving, with nobody being penalised for being out of position or alone in their league/nationality. You can now truly build your Ultimate Team.

In previous games, squads were often limited thanks to the weight of chemistry links needing to be perfect to avoid a negative impact on your players, even for icons who naturally got a chemistry boost. Thankfully, EA has two-footed those shackles off the pitch in the biggest shake-up to chemistry since its conception. Here's everything you need to know about the FIFA 23 chemistry system..

How to griddy in FIFA 23

Wondering how to griddy in FIFA 23? The dance, now in the football game for the first time, was first seen in the NFL, then rose in popularity after it was featured in Fortnite, with Christian Pulisic performing the celebration after scoring in the Champions League. It sees the player shuffling their feet while swinging their arms, eventually bringing their hands to their face with an 'OK' symbol.

Celebrating in FIFA 23 is a dark art, striking that fine line between boasting without trolling your opponent. It can break anyone's composure if done correctly, and as we know, half the battle is inside your foe's mind. With that said, this is what you need to know about how to griddy in FIFA 23.

GTA 6 release date rumours, news, and speculation

Want to know more about the GTA 6 release date? Given how many years it takes to create open world games of the same calibre as GTA V, it's no surprise that Rockstar Games has already spent years developing GTA 6. Like most devs, Rockstar prefers not to show anything from their game until they're close to the end of development, so we may not see any official GTA 6 gameplay for some time.

Early gameplay footage of GTA 6 recently surfaced online, along with lines of source code from the game itself. Rockstar has released a statement on Twitter which confirms that an unauthorised third party managed to access and download information from their systems, including development footage for GTA 6. Their statement says they don't believe this leak should have any impact on the development of their long-term projects or disrupt their live service games.

The best Viking games on PC in 2022

What are the best Viking games on PC? The Vikings weren't the most diplomatic group of settlers in history. The famous seafaring hustlers made haste across Northern Europe, causing chaos wherever they docked. Their devilish deeds remain firmly stamped in our contemporary consciousness; most are familiar with the famous stories of the Edda, the seminal Medieval Icelandic literary works to which we owe much of our knowledge of these Norse brutes. Their stories are inscribed in runestones and have reverberated for centuries, long since they were first committed to rock.

Most of these myths still worm their way into the media we engage with now, from Marvel Comics to Attack on Titan. Yet, video games are one of the most lucrative sources of vicarious Viking myth, putting you in the hefty shoes of the gods or the mere mortals that cowered obsequiously at the beck and call of Asgard.

Viking games see us exploring the mythical underworlds of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and absorbing the souls of freshly-dispatched dragons in Skyrim. We also get to inhabit their gnarled leather shoes as we face off against, err, Samurai and Knights in the anachronistic chaos of For Honor. There's a wide variety to ruthlessly conquer, so read if you want to loot and pillage the best Viking games on PC.

How to break Suda's Flow in three locations in Genshin Impact

You will be asked to break Suda's Flow in the three locations as part of a Genshin Impact world quest, but it's not clearly explained what this is, and you need to know where to look. With the release of Genshin Impact 3.1, the Teyvat map has expanded once more with an extension to the south of Sumeru, bringing new quests and events to the RPG game. As you explore the Valley of Dahri in the Land of Upper Setekh, you will meet Afratu, who tasks you with entering huge robot ruins.

As you make your way towards the cockpit of the ruin golem, you must break some green, glowing orbs before being asked to "break Suda's Flow in three different locations", which isn't really explained fully within the anime game. However, all it really needs you to do is explore the vicinity, breaking more of these orbs which are apparently "Suda's Flow". Keep reading to find out where each of the three locations is, and how to break Suda's Flow.

Another Genshin Impact Hyakunin Ikki event will soon be upon us. During the Genshin Impact 3.1 update, travellers all over Teyvat can sign up for the open world game's third Hyakunin Ikki. Once you've met the prerequisites to enter, you can journey across to the nearest island to the west of Inazuma City to find a blue door that acts as a portal to an arena full of formidable monsters.

The Genshin Impact Hyakunin Ikki event is a survival mode where you select teams to take on waves of enemies within an allotted time. For each one you defeat, you earn points that give you different insignias, depending on how many you've accumulated. This is a recurring event, so the monster roster is likely to be different from the previous tournament.

Genshin Impact Kusanali banner release date speculation

Genshin Impact's Kusanali, the Dendro Archon, has now been revealed, and we are looking forward to them featuring in a future event wish. Previous archons were introduced to the anime game through archon quests, and eventually became playable characters such as Venti, Raiden Shogun, and Zhongli. These archons make up The Seven, deities which govern their own region and have a correlating element called a gnosis.

In the 2.0 update and the release of the region, Inazuma, we were introduced to the Electro Archon, Raiden Shogun, and even had a boss fight with her as part of the story. Eventually she became one of the new Genshin Impact characters. We now know the Dendro Archon to be Nahida, who appears during the Sumeru Archon quest line, and that she will be also be available as a playable character in a future Genshin Impact update.

Massively multiplayer games rapidly calcified around a specific set of design ideas (eg. World Of Warcraft) and so many other attempts to jam a load of players onto a single server quickly disappeared (eg. most games by Improbable or Amazon).

Foxhole is one of the few to do it successfully: a single, massive World War 2 battlefield in which players don't just fight at the frontlines, but form supply routes, build defenses, and otherwise take the reigns of the logistics of war. Spy x Family Opening

The ongoing Spy x Family anime adaptation resumes its run on October 1st, 2022, and with it will come a new opening sequence and theme song. Toho Animation uploaded a "clean" (credit-less) version of the 2nd Spy x Family opening animation on September 28 to promote the imminent broadcast.

Check it out below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOIJOJsUkUg

The Spy x Family 2nd opening features the song "Souvenir" by Bump of Chicken. The previous opening song was "Mixed Nuts" by Official Hige Dandism. The new opening focuses on scenes of the Forger family's life at home, work, and play, against autumnal scenery. It also teases the appearance of characters yet to be introduced in the anime, such as the family dog and a silver-haired coworker of Loid's. Another new character confirmed is the terrorist Keith Kepler, who plays a key role in securing the Forgers a family pet. harvestella woglinde shatolla

Square Enix has shared some information on Shatolla, a seaside town players will be able to explore in the upcoming life simulation JRPG, Harvestella. The Summer Seaslight governs Shatolla. Players will be able to meet Heine, the inventor, and Emo, the diva, in Shatolla. There are also details on new jobs and summer crops on the blog post.

Like how the Spring Seaslight governs Nemea, Shatolla gets a lot of influence from the Summer Seaslight. However, some giant bubbles called the Summer Bulla have started appearing near the city, and there are rumors about a sea witch named Lorelei. Sailors believe that she can drag ships into the ocean with her voice. While it is unclear where exactly Heine will fit into the narrative, Emo requests the protagonist's help in traveling to the Seaslight.

During TGS 2022, the Harvestella development team showed off some different biomes you can farm in. One of them is the waterside biome, which is good for sweet crops such as Islet Watermelons. There are also cave biomes where you can grow spices and seasonings, like Sudor Pepper. Crops you can grow in the summer are the Shatollan Paprika, Bellhop, Seatide Garlic, and Macocoa.

While you will likely need other ingredients, those summer crops can be used to make Fisherman's Sandwich, Hop Juice, Shrimp and Mushroom Tapas, and Melting Chocolate Fondant. In order to cook meals, you will need to first build a Kitchen Counter in the protagonist's house.

Previously, Square Enix revealed that a protagonist's job determines their skill and weapon. They can unlock new jobs when they recruit a character. The two new jobs shown in the blog post are Mechanic and Woglinde. The Mechanic can used charged physical attacks, as well as debuffs. Meanwhile, the Woglinde is a magic-oriented job who can support the party.

Harvestella will come out on November 4, 2022 for the Nintendo Switch and Windows PC. A demo version is readily available for the Switch.

PS Plus October 2022 Games

Sony has revealed the games PS Plus subscribers will gain for free next month. The PS Plus October 2022 games are led by something hot, something with "supers" and something super hot. In other words, members gain access to Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot (SUPER. HOT.).

The three games become available to PS Plus members on October 4, 2022. Players can still claim the PS Plus September 2022 games, which include Deathloop and Granblue Fantasy Versus, before October 3, 2022.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is an arcade racer based on the Hot Wheels line of toy vehicles. Players will earn new vehicles and race in 12-player online races or two-player split-screen versus. It also includes a track editor and support for community-created tracks players can try. The PS4 and PS5 versions are on offer in the PS Plus October selection.

Developed by Mortal Kombat studio NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 is the 2017 sequel to 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us. It's a fighting game using characters from the DC Comics universe, such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. There's a twist, though: The world of Injustice is a bleak and deadly place, one where Superman took over the world and established a fascistic Regime to enforce order and execute evildoers, and opposed by an insurgency led by Batman. A new threat led by Brainiac might force the two former allies to team up once again, though. Injustice 2 also added a gear system that allows players to customize the look and playstyle of their fighters. The PS4 version is available.

Superhot is a strategic, time-dilation-based first-person action game. In Superhot, one hit can kill you, but time only moves when you do. Players can utilize this trick to deftly maneuver through a gauntlet of action scenarios.

The PS Plus October 2022 games become available to PS Plus Essential members (and up) on October 4, 2022. More games for PS Plus Extra and Premium memberships will be announced, and debut later in the month.

PlayStation Stars Launch

Sony has officially launched the PlayStation Stars loyalty program in Japan and other regions in Asia. Other regions, including North America and Europe, will gain access to the program starting in October. While the program is free to join, it is only accessible through the PlayStation smartphone app. A console version of the app will release at a later date. Furthermore, Sony detailed the features of the new loyalty program in a PlayStation Blog post.

As of September 29, 2022, PlayStation Stars is available in Asian regions, including Japan. The program will launch in North America on October 5, 2022, followed by Europe on October 13, 2022. The only requirement for signing up to PlayStation Stars is an adult PlayStation Network account.

While a PlayStation Plus account is not required, PS Plus members can earn PS Stars points via PlayStation Store purchases. These include PS Plus subscription payments. Players can use these points to redeem collectibles, games, and even PSN wallet funds. On the Hong Kong PSN Store, games like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Cult of the Lamb are redeemable for points.

Notably, the first reward campaign is "Hit Play/1994" which tasks players with launching games based on music cues. The reward for that campaign will be a special collectible. As Sony stated in its initial announcement, the collectibles will be purely cosmetic and cannot be traded between players. However, players can check the rarity of their collectibles via the campaign details screen. Others include a monthly check-in campaign that rewards players for launching any game once every month.

PlayStation Stars is available in Japan and Asia, and will launch in the US on October 5, 2022, and Europe on October 13, 2022. It is available on iOS and Android devices via the PlayStation App. A console version is in development.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury split into 2 cours

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will run in two separate cours. The first one will run from October-December 2022, and the second will follow in April-June 2023. Bandai Namco's Chief Gundam Officer (CGO), Kouji Fujiwara, revealed the plan at the Gundam Conference Autumn 2022 presentation stream.

Fujiwara also revealed that MBS and TBS will air TV versions of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Thunderbolt, and Narrative for the January-March 2023 period. While the Thunderbolt OVA already comprises four episodes, Bandai Namco and Sunrise will split the Hathaway and Narrative movies into four episodes each.

The whole schedule will be part of the larger Gundam Next Future: Road To 2025 project. The companies will also regularly air prior Gundam titles like Iron-Blooded Orphans and the SEED series on YouTube and the BS11 channel. At the 19:10 mark, the presentation slide shows that MBS and TBS' Sunday 5 PM slot will feature Gundam titles from October 2022 to June 2023. It also implies that The Witch from Mercury will have a total of two cours with around 24 to 26 episodes.

The Witch from Mercury will not be the first Gundam title to have two separate sessions, although it remains to be seen if it will have a time skip between them. The 2007 title Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and 2015's Iron-Blooded Orphans had two separate half-year seasons, with a time skip happening in the middle of both titles. The 2011 Gundam AGE was a recent outlier for having a continuous airing for almost a full year despite featuring two generational time skips. If The Witch from Mercury only has two cours in total, it will follow the steps of Yoshiyuki Tomino's 2014 entry, Reconguista in G, which only had 26 episodes.

At the 18:35 mark on the stream, Fujiwara also reveals a list of overseas companies that plan to publish The Witch from Mercury worldwide. Other than Bandai Namco's Asian branches, the list also includes Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, and Odex.

The Prologue episode of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury is available to watch worldwide on the GundamInfo YouTube channel. The first episode will air on October 2, 2022.

Shenmue the Animation

It seems like Ryo Hazuki's search for his father's killer may never be resolved - at least not in animated form. The first season of Shenmue the Animation is no longer available on HBO Max or Adult Swim, delisted in the wake of parent company Warner Bros' merger with Discovery. Toonami co-creator Jason DeMarco took to his official Twitter account on Wednesday to comment on a list of cut shows posted by the account @CNschedules. In his comment, DeMarco confirmed that the Shenmue anime might not get a second season. This is in spite of preparations being underway to begin production after the success of the first season.

https://twitter.com/Clarknova1/status/1574971363453857792

DeMarco did confirm, though, that Shenmue the Animation, along with titles like Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Fena: Pirate Princess, would still be viewable via Crunchyroll. As Crunchyroll co-produced the three series, it retains streaming rights. The content cuts are mainly coming as a way for Warner Bros and Discovery to reduce costs and tax burdens following the merger. As such, they mainly affect presences on HBO and related channels. The losses also don't affect download releases, though the possibility remains that the company could change its mind later and scrub the show away more completely. After all, Final Space, another show on Adult Swim, was "written off" so thoroughly that streaming, physical, and digital releases were stopped outright.

Further comments by DeMarco noted that while the losses affect current shows, planned and in-progress productions remain on track. Adult Swim is producing and co-producing new anime, like Housing Complex C, an adaptation of Junji Ito's Uzumaki, and further works connected to FLCL.

Shenmue the Animation Season One is viewable on Crunchyroll. The first two Shenmue games are available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as remasters. Shenmue III is available on PS4 and PC.

Warzone 2 Leak Launch Removal Of Rebirth Island And Fortune's KeepWe are currently mid-way through the fifth and final season of Warzone as we know it. As players look ahead to Warzone 2, more leaks have emerged about what the game could entail. The latest leak points towards Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep being removed from Warzone in November. Call of Duty: Warzone has always had large, traditional battle royale maps located in Verdansk and then Caldera. Alongside them has been smaller Resurgence maps known an Rebirth Island and later on, Fortune's Keep. The smaller maps allow for close-quarter combat and fast paced matches. They also allow you to respawn and get straight back in the action up until Resurgence is disabled in the final moments of a match.   With the launch of Warzone 2, the future is uncertain for Resurgence fans. According to the prominent Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostOfHope, following the release of Warzone 2, Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep will be removed from the current iteration of Warzone. This me...

Sega blockchain blue white logoBack when discussions surrounding NFTs and the blockchain were at their most prevalent, Sega suggested that it would not incorporate NFTs into its future projects if players saw them as cynical monetization schemes. At the time, this came as welcome news for many considering the numerous issues with the technology. It didn't take long for people to find out that the company already had an NFT-related trademark filed by the time it made that statement, though. This cast Sega's statement into doubt, and now we know for sure that the company was being less than honest. Even though interest in NFTs continues to decline, that did not stop Sega from investing in a new game that will utilize the blockchain. According to 4Gamer, Sega partnered up with Japanese blockchain developer Double Jump Tokyo to produce a new installment in the Sangokushi Taisen franchise. For those who don't know, this series has mostly resided in Japanese arcades and involves using real-life cards t...

Vampire Survivors Patch 1.0Vampire Survivors has been an unexpected delight in the indie game scene since its initial Early Access release in December of last year. The simple but addictive game tasks players with surviving hordes of monsters for 30 minutes at a time while becoming increasingly more powerful. The twist, though, is that players can only control the movement of their character while the game automates attacks. Now, nine months later, Vampire Survivors has a full 1.0 release date at long last, and it isn't far away. Vampire Survivors will launch in its complete state on October 20. While the game has received numerous significant updates during its Early Access period, the 1.0 update will still bring a lot of new content along with it.   Even more reasons to go for another run Some balance changes will change how certain weapons play in the Vampire Survivors 1.0 update. A lot of weapons will feel more useful after the 1.0 alterations. However, fans of Santa Water/La Borra will be disappointe...

Carl Review 1I mostly skipped out on '90s PC-only platformers. CARL shares a lot of visual similarities to classic games, using a style and level design approach that was more common on DOS than anywhere else. But the game isn't overly beholden to the past or lacking in ideas. This is a cute, well-designed platformer with excellent controls and one of the best finales a 2D game can ask for. It doesn't last all that long but it's mostly a blast from start to finish, even if a couple of late-game levels majorly got on my nerves. In case it isn't obvious, CARL is also the name of the player character. You're a little robot (every robot in the game has a regular game that's also an acronym). There's also a doctor who goes by Doc, because the acronym from his actual name is FART. Then there's a "robot" named DOUG who's clearly a human wearing cardboard. The game is undeniably silly, but the dialogue is humorous and the story is i...

Overwatch 2 Competitive 2.0Alongside other changes, Blizzard is reworking how Overwatch 2's Competitive mode works. Competitive has always been a playground where players get serious about their gameplay. The game's more complicated aspects such as metas, team compositions, and hero match-ups are important in Competitive. That will all remain true for the Competitive mode in Overwatch 2, but the ranking system will be completely different. Skill Tier Divisions will replace the old Skill Rating (SR) system. Previously, you'd receive SR after wining a match, and losing a match meant losing SR. In the event of a draw, you'd either slightly gain or slightly lose SR based on your rank. It's an easy system to understand, but it wasn't flawless. Some players felt that SR didn't provide an accurate representation of how they performed. Factors often outside of your control would cause you to lose or gain SR when it was not deserved.   Skill Tier Divisions look to fix this b...
