I liked time-travelling between Dracula's abode and ancient greece, chopping a variety of killer goblins that squawked, "NICE TO MEET YOU!", in varying octaves. While another FPS of the "micro" variety would be grand, I'd love a "microracer". Much in the same vein as my beloved Screamer, I'm desperate for a – linear or otherwise – arcade racer whose only concern is to burn rubber through all manner of world stages. |

The next Chainsaw Man Power figure from Good Smile Company doesn't tap into established appearances for its design. Orders just opened for the Power Bunny Ver figure on the company's official site. She will show up in July 2023 in Japan first for ¥39,600. Then in September 2023, people in North America can get her for $286.99. This is a static, 1/4th scale figure. She's expected to be almost 20 inches tall. However, it seems some of that is attributed to her ears, which appear behind her trademark horns. As is common with these kinds of Good Smile Company figures, the fishnets are made of actual fabric. There's no word on when that one will appear. However, the product page for Power did show a photo of the two of them together. Another one of the Bloodborne Kart characters showed up, and Eileen the Crow will be racing through the streets of Yharnam. The developers behind the fan-made project shared a new look at the character. That means people can see her in-action, as well as get a look at her Crowfeather Motorcycle. First, here is Eileen on the Crowfeather Motorcycle. As a nod to her avian aesthetic, the motorcycle exhaust pipes look like bird wings. Here's an example of a race against Eileen the Crow in Bloodborne Kart. Her line "Leave the Hunting of Hunters to me" from the original game appears before the race begins.
Finally, Gone shared a look at the selection screens for Bloodborne Kart characters and vehicles. In addition to Eileen, people can choose Baby Mergo, The Doll, Father Gascoigne, Gehrman, and Hunter in this build. The available vehicles in that video are Baby Carriage, Crowfeather Motorcycle, Horseless Carriage, Hunter Kart, Hunter Motorcycle, and Motorized Wheelchair.

Finally, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is getting closer to a Steam release date. This is due to an update on the next network test, which ended up delayed out of 2022. The official Twitter account confirmed a schedule for it. Starting on January 17, 2023, the Gundam Battle Operation 2 PC open beta test will begin. People can prepare for the Gundam Battle Operation 2 PC open beta test before it starts. Pre-downloads will be available on Steam at 12am ET/6am CET on January 16, 2023. (That's 9pm PT on January 15, 2023.) The actual beta itself will cover two days. Everything will start at 12am ET/6am CET on January 17, 2023 (9pm PT on January 16, 2023). People then have until 12am ET/6am CET on January 19, 2023 (9pm PT on January 18, 2023) to play through Custom, Quick, and Rating matches. Free Practices will also be available. There will also be a daily 10 free Supply Drop and regular one, and you can do things like upgrade and modify units, but you can't get or use paid tokens. Sony will be adding a number of new titles to the downloadable game catalog available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. They'll go live starting on January 17, 2023. This is in addition to the games made available earlier in the month to all PS Plus Essential tier subscribers and up. Leading the pack of releases for the PS Plus Game Catalog in January 2023 is Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. An updated PS5 version of Devil May Cry 5, the game adds graphical features like ray-traced graphics, 3D audio, Turbo Mode, and Legendary Dark Knight Mode. The game also includes all the content from the deluxe edition of DMC 5. Though Special Edition is PS5-exclusive, PS4 owners can get the standard edition of DMC 5 via the Game Catalog. Additionally, fans interested in over-the-top action can also get into Just Cause 4: Reloaded. Nintendo shared some videos of Zelkov, a new character in Fire Emblem Engage. Zelkov is a royal soldier of the Kingdom of Elusia and Princess Ivy's retainer. He is a quiet individual who can easily become absorbed in what he's doing. Alear points that Zelkov is a very deep thinker, to which he remarks that to him that's not the case. The original English voice actor for Vash the Stampede will return in the Trigun Stampede dub. Crunchyroll announced Johnny Yong Bosch will again play the character. He was the original English voice for the character during both the original anime's run and the movie Trigun: Badlands Rumble. This also comes alongside the confirmation that the English dub's debut is January 21, 2023. To go along with the announcement, Crunchyroll released a video with a statement from Johnny Yong Bosch about returning as the English dub voice actor for Vash in Trigun Stampede.
As noted in the video, Vash in Trigun marked Johnny Yong Bosch's first role as an English anime dub voice actor. He later went on to play Ichigo in Bleach, Sabo in One Piece, Giyu in Demon Slayer, Artemis in Sailor Moon, and both Yu and Adachi in the Persona 4 anime. He's also played a number of roles in video games, like Nero in Devil May Cry, Joshua in Trails of Cold Steel, Hajime in Danganronpa 2, and both the protagonist and Adachi in the Persona games. The second episode of Trigun Stampede will air on January 14, 2023. It will be simulcast on streaming services outside Japan as usual. The English dub for Trigun Stampede will start with the first episode on January 21, 2023, the same day the third episode of the original Japanese version debuts. Tamashii Nations announced that there will be new Naruto and Sasuke SH Figuarts figures. Both of them are based on designs from the series when it first began in 1999. Pre-orders are set to open by January 14, 2023. Naruto will release first, with a July 2023 launch window set. Sasuke will follow shortly after sometime in August 2023. While product pages aren't available yet at places like Premium Bandai, there are some preliminary pictures showing the two figures and their accessories. First, here's a look at the one for Naruto. It features an effect part for the Rasengan. Four different face plates are also shown.
Meanwhile, here's how Sasuke looks. He comes with effect parts for the Chidori and Fire Style: FIreball Jutsu. Three face plates appear in the example photos.
There are already many Naruto series SH Figuarts characters. However, these tend to be from Naruto Shippuden and Boruto. Both Naruto and Sasuke frequently appear in each line. For example, there is even a Sage Mode variant of Naruto. Nexon is developing a new game based on the Dungeon Fighter Online (a.k.a. Dungeon & Fighter or Arad Senki) setting, code-named Project DW. It is planned for release on consoles, PCs, and mobile platforms worldwide. No release window was specified. [Thanks, Denfaminico Gamer!] At the moment, only the codename is known about Project DW. It has no formal title or assets to show, either. (Editor's Note: The header image is from DNF Duel.) However, Nexon did say that it's going to be an open-world action-RPG. It'll support cross-play over its various platforms too. Since its original release as Dungeon Fighter Online on PC in 2005 the Dungeon Fighter franchise has existed in various forms and on multiple platforms. The original game (popularly called DFO or DNF) was a side-scrolling multiplayer brawler. Players can create characters and choose from different classes, then move across multiple screens defeating enemies. They can unlock new skills, level up, and collect equipment to improve their character. In 2012, an updated version called Dungeon Fighter Live arrived exclusively on Xbox 360. The current incarnations of the game exist as Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in Korea, and the globally-released fighting game DNF Duel. You can check out Siliconera's review of that game at this link. There's a new Genshin Impact web event called Paimon's Starlight Expedition, and it is essentially a character quiz. It is tied to the just-released Genshin Impact Character OST Album: The Stellar Moments Vol 3 soundtrack. Until January 18, 2023, people can match people from the game to songs tied to them. People get Primogems as a reward. Here's how this Genshin Impact event works. First, someone needs to head to the Paimon's Starlight Expedition official site and log into it. Paimon will then test players' knowledge. A song from the new album will play. As it does, hints indicating the identity of the person the track it is tied to will appear. If someone correctly guesses and unlocks five characters, they get a code for 40 Primogems. Once a song starts, you can pick the character name from the list, then submit the answer. An obscured image in one of multiple colors will appear. This is tied to their element. So a yellow one means it is a Geo character like Gorou, Itto, or Yun Jin. You can also get up to three hints for each phase of the challenge. Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Paimon's Starlight Expedition web event ends January 18, 2023. The 3.4 update arrives on January 18, 2023. There will be a new way to get first aid "spray" in the real world in 2023. Gameflavor announced a Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector's Box with non-alcoholic drinks and both ingredients and recipes for non-alcoholic cocktails. The box will cost €167.23/$180.53/£147.97, and only 4,750 will be sold. Pre-orders are open ahead of its tentative Q3 2023 release. The items in the Resident Evil First Aid Drink Collector's Box seem designed to both be consumed and displayed. People get 10 330ml drinks with cucumber juice, lime juice, lemon juice, and mint in it. There is also a fake spray cap that can be displayed on top of one of these cans. People interested in making Resident Evil cocktails can use the recipe cards and included herbs to make non-alcoholic cocktails. The site didn't note what these "herbs" will be, only that they are colored and themed based on the ones in-game, four varieties will appear, and each one will be in a fake typewriter ribbon case. There is also an art book. Everything comes in a box that looks like the storage boxes in-game. Here's a closer look at all the items in the box. It isn't uncommon for the first aid medicine or other items to inspire merchandise replicas. Capcom itself released an air freshener that looked like it. Konami once again showed how a Suikoden I & II HD Remaster rune looks in-game, this time displaying the Blue Gate Rune's power. As with past clips, this appeared following a poll on Twitter. Followers were able to pick which one of four they'd get to see, with the results again differing from the ones from a similar poll on the Japanese account. The four options in the last poll were the Blue Gate Rune, Thunder Rune, Resurrection Rune, and Cross Attack. Of those, the Blue Gate Rune "won," so a Suikoden I & II HD Remaster clip of Suikoden II gameplay appeared. In it Mazus uses the rune's summoning magic to cast its ultimate spell: Empty World. This causes a monster to appear from behind the enemy group and fire a beam of energy to attack. The resulting attack does 900 damage to the opponents, but also deals 90 damage to every ally.
The Blue Gate Rune is a recurring staple of the Suikoden series, though it only is known by that name in Suikoden II. When it showed up in the third and fifth games, it functioned identically, but was called Pale Gate Rune. As a reminder, when this poll came up in Japan, the winning response involved the Bright Shield and Black Sword True Runes. The Pokemon Company decided to answer the question "How many Pokemon are there" by sharing a video showing all 1008 currently available. As one might expect, the Scarlet and Violet new characters get the most focus. However, the almost nine minute long video does show every one currently available, including regional variants from games like Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Editor's Note: This video looking at how many Pokemon there are features spoilers for Scarlet and Violet.As one might expect, the new video begins with ones appearing in games like Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. In-game footage is used for all characters. In the case of Pokemon with variants, like Alcremie or even Spinda, there are segments showing off some of the different possible appearance options. Regional variants start to show up around the four minute mark. Ultra Beasts from Sun and Moon begin to appear at the 4:30 point, followed by legendaries from different installments. By the 6:18 mark, the video shifts to the Paldea region. It spends the rest of the 8:44 video offering more focused looks at the new characters introduced in Scarlet and Violet. Alhaitham has been a major NPC in the Sumeru storyline, but will become playable for the Version 3.4 update. He will fill the DPS niche in your party, and will use items from the new World Bosses in the desert. Players who main Keqing might start off with an advantage if they get Alhaitham. This is because Alhaitham's Elemental Skill is reminiscent of hers. His Universality: An Elaboration on Form Skill lets him dash forward and deal Dendro DMG. You can also aim it when you hold down the Skill button. After you hit an enemy with this Skill, he will create a Chisel-Light Mirror. Chisel-Light Mirrors will convert Alhaitham's attacks to Dendro DMG, and deal Dendro DMG dependent on how many Mirrors. And fans of the franchise should be eager to see how Motive has improved on the original game. Luckily, the Dead Space remake's launch trailer gives us a glimpse of what to expect. There are certainly plenty of differences, but you can definitely tell that it's still Dead Space at its core. One of the most obvious differences in the Dead Space remake is the improved visuals. The character models and USG Ishimura both look incredible at first glance. But Motive seems to have done a good job at keeping these areas and characters recognizable. The trailer also shows bits from the iconic introduction, which still seems to be as shocking as it was in 2008. Plus there are plenty of callbacks to scares from the original game that look to be making a gruesome return. But there are definitely obvious changes that can be seen here as well.
