PCGamesN Friday, February 24, 2023 12:36 PM Can Kelvin die in Sons of the Forest? That's the question you probably ask yourself if you decide to help him and dust off the debris from your concussed companion. His ear is dribbling with blood, and his spaced look indicates that he's disorientated and possibly now deaf. However, all is not lost as you can get him to follow instructions written on paper and forcefully thrust onto his chest. There are advantages to keeping Kelvin alive in the survival game, and morally speaking, it's probably the best decision to do so. Kelvin is not the only companion who can accompany you in Sons of the Forest, either; you can also recruit Virginia to help you survive the cannibal-infested island, though you'll need a more delicate approach. Regardless, to those asking if Kelvin can die in Sons of the Forest, here is everything we know about our injured colleague. Continue reading Can Kelvin die in Sons of the Forest? Since then, we received a further announcement that revealed the second campaign, which is in the more traditional mission-only style. We also have some idea of the vague plans for Company of Heroes 3 DLC, which is sure to prolong one of the best PC games available for military strategists. PCGamesN Friday, February 24, 2023 12:49 PM Sons of the Forest weapons will be your first defence against Fingers, John 2.0, Sluggy, and the other mutants and cannibals in the sandbox sequel. There's more technology at our disposal than in the first game, with the brand-new shotgun being possibly our most offensive weapon. However, good old severed limbs will still come in handy when you run out of ammo, and you could always just grab that guitar. The upcoming survival horror game is following in the footsteps of its predecessor with the same familiar enemies and a lot of features we know and love from the first game. However, Sons of the Forest also contains more modern gameplay mechanics, with the likes of a 3D printer completely changing the way you craft. You won't always have access to ammo though, so you'll need to make the most of what you've got around you. Following the Sons of the Forest release date, here are some of the best weapons so far. There were plenty of The Forest cheats and console commands - the predecessor to Sons of the Forest - with all sorts of effects, including invincibility, free items, killing enemies, and more. With the Sons of the Forest release date finally here, it's time to start thinking about whether the new horror game has its own methods of giving you a leg up, so here's everything you need to know about Sons of the Forest cheats and console commands. It's worth mentioning that some of these mutants can be friendly, and we'll be covering those in this list too. That said, be careful who you trust. The upcoming survival game follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, The Forest, with the same cannibals and creepy mutants threatening your life after you're stranded on a strange island. However, there are a few different gruesome mutants in Sons of the Forest, including one almost entirely made up of fingers. Before you dive into Sons of the Forest multiplayer with your friends, make sure you actually live long enough to explore the large Sons of the Forest map by familiarising yourself with all of the Sons of the Forest mutants and cannibals. PCGamesN Friday, February 24, 2023 11:21 AM Excited about the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release date? Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the follow-up to Rocksteady's iconic Batman: Arkham series. Promising a roster of heroes gone bad, intriguing cooperative combat, and plenty of self-aware, irreverent humour, there's a lot to be excited about. Set in a chaos-covered Metropolis, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League flips the script on who's good and evil in the DC universe. For a twist on the usual superhero game format, instead, we're tasked with bringing down the corrupt versions of the iconic heroes from the Justice League. It seems the only group capable and vaguely willing to stop them is a new ragtag Suicide Squad, assembled by the ruthless Amanda Waller. After the brilliant Arkham series, we're expecting big things from what could be one of the best PC games of the year. PCGamesN Friday, February 24, 2023 12:06 PM If you want to know how to get Virginia in Sons of the Forest, you'll need to know how to put your weapons away and tread carefully or you can scare her away. We know that you can frighten off, ignore, or befriend the three-legged lady, and if we're being honest, the latter is going to be your best choice as you'll have an extra pair of hands on your side against the hordes of cannibals. Befriend Virginia in Sons of the Forest, and you can give her a gun and put her to use in combat, just like your other AI companion Kelvin. Neither of these NPCs is completely forced on you in the survival game, though, so you can go it alone if you want. If you could do with the help, then recruiting the three-legged lady to help you protect Kelvin is a great idea, as Kelvin can die in Sons of the Forest. As for the Calliope Pop Up Parade figure, it stands at about six and a half inches tall like others in the collection. It features her in her original outfit. Her veil will be made of translucent material. This isn't the only recent news involving both Sakura Miko and Mori Calliope. Both of them were named Tokyo Tourism Ambassadors for 2023. Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 4:00 PM Bandai Namco recently acknowledged and apologized for the problems and glitches found in the Nintendo Switch version of the recently released Tales of Symphonia Remastered. The company confirmed that the team is currently working on a solution to these problems. Bandai Namco will provide more information and future updates through the official Japanese Twitter account. Here is the original Japanese Twitter thread from Bandai Namco, informing people about the upcoming update: https://twitter.com/tales_ch/status/1629058956386787328 Players worldwide reported these glitches, with most of them being technical issues related to the framerate of the console considerably dropping in certain areas. Additionally, the framerate drastically suffers during combat after a certain point in the story, but only when Colette is a part of the team. This is a bigger problem, considering her crucial role in the game. Some other examples of these issues include unusually long loading times, the overworld music loading mid-song, and some elements like the glass shattering battle transition effect being completely absent. This is not the first remaster from the Tales of series, and it might not be the last one. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition debuted back in 2019 worldwide. The Nintendo Switch version of the it runs as well as the rest of the versions available. Tales of Symphonia Remastered is immediately available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Tales of Symphonia is also available on Windows PC through Steam, and it is based on the PS3 version of the game. Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 2:30 PM In Octopath Traveler 2 every character starts out with one job. So Osvald is the Scholar, Hikari is the Warrior, and so on. However, each character can also equip a secondary job to increase their range. You don't get these just by someone with the role joining. Rather, you need to find guilds across the maps for them. So, here are the Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job locations for the eight basic classes in the game. As a tip, aside from the apothecary thief role, they all tend to be fairly near the character with the same class you recruited. The Octopath Traveler 2 Apothecary GuildGetting the extra Apothecary job license involves a bit of a hike. You need to head west of where you found Castti in Canalbrine, then south to Conning Creek. Immediately after you enter town, head to the east up the stairs. Head slightly south and enter the small building with two flower boxes to join the guild and get the license. The Octopath Traveler 2 Cleric GuildWhile it would make sense for it to be at Flamechurch Cathedral, it's not. You need to head north across a bridge in Borderfall to a much smaller church to get the Cleric Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job license, but as a bonus it is also the location of the Prayer for Plenty EX Skill for Temenos. It's east of where you found Temenos in Flamechurch. The Octopath Traveler 2 Dancer GuildLike the Apothecary job, the Dancer guild is right in a town. Head to Wellgrove, which is to the southwest of where you recruited Agnea in Cropdale. There'll be a little house with flowers all around the doorway right after you enter town and head to the second level past the big building. (An elderly gentleman will be in front during the day.) Talk to the guildmaster, and you'll be set.
The Octopath Traveler 2 Hunter GuildOkay, this one took me so long to find, so hopefully this helps you out. Sometimes in locations, there will be "obscured" areas you can pass through, but it isn't obvious unless you are right there. Head to Western Tropu'hopu Traverse, immediately north of the Beasting Village where you meet Ochette. Now, this is mostly a straightforward road with no extra paths. However, you will notice a point at which you can head north toward the Southern Nameless Village Traverse path. Don't go there. Head as though you are, but then go south. Along these ruins is the hidden Hunter guild. Since it's so hard to find, I created the brief video above to show how to reach it from the Western Tropu'hopu Traverse save point. The Octopath Traveler 2 Merchant GuildIt's more appropriate to call this a Merchant "tent," rather than a guild. It's in Western Crackridge Wilds, north of Orerush where Partitio joined. At the junction where you find the signpost and save point, head west over the natural rock bridge. You'll find an emcampment as you keep heading west. The man outside the tent to the right is the location of the Octopath Traveler 2 Merchant secondary job license. The Octopath Traveler 2 Scholar GuildGetting the Scholar job is quite easy, as it is one of the easiest to find Octopath Traveler 2 secondary job locations. Head all the way west in Western Winterbloom Snows, then north. You'll see the building right there. It's also just north of Osvald's first chapter and where you'll recruit him.
The Octopath Traveler 2 Thief GuildI'd say this is the second hardest to find secondary job license locations to find in Octopath Traveler 2, because it's both hidden away and only accessible at night. Directly east of New Delsta, where you found Throne, is the town of Clockbank. (It's a bit of a hike.) When in town, change the time of day to night. Then, head to the northern industrial area. You need to get to the main "street" that the inn is on, then head left. Go south through the sheltered area. You'll be in an area with a small house to the left. Head up through the alley next to the small house, past the boxes. There's a doorway there. When you go through it, you'll find yourself at the thieves guild and able to get that secondary job license. The Octopath Traveler 2 Warrior GuildYou'll find the Warrior dojo in Sai. It's one of the more obvious and easy to find guilds. Just head south when you get into down, and you'll find it in back with a person standing in front. It's south of where you found Hikari in Ryu. Octopath Traveler 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available. The post Where are the Octopath Traveler 2 Secondary Job License Locations appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 2:00 PM Mortal Kombat 12 is on the way, and it seems it will be a 2023 release. During the Warner Bros Discovery Fourth Quarter 2022 Earnings Call, part of the announcements mentioned the game would appear in 2023. No further details about the game were mentioned, beyond the fact it exists and will be out this year. Here's a clip showing the announcement from the Warner Bros earning call, which was shared by Al¹³ on Twitter.
The update mentioned it alongside another game. It also referenced Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. That will be showing up in May 2023. Mortal Kombat 11 debuted back in 2019 on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC. It eventually came to the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2020. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate was recently revealed to be one of the Evo 2023 main games, which led to people speculating that there could be an announcement tied to the series at the event. Following the call, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon joked about the situation on Twitter.

Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 1:30 PM When new playable characters come to Genshin Impact, there tends to be a web event featuring them, and Scarlet Sands does so for Dehya. However, she isn't the only focus. When she was introduced during the Sumeru Archon Quests, we saw her working as a bodyguard. So her event not only features her, but the major Genshin Impact NPC Dunyarzard. First, as always, you need to visit the Genshin Impact Scarlet Sand web event page to kick off this adventure with Dehya and Dunyarzard. While it is set after the Archon Quests featuring the two, there are no spoilers. The goal is to help Dehya show Dunyarzard around the desert region of Sumeru. You'll do this by clicking on things around the duo while the walk through the area. When you click on certain hallmarks, you'll trigger scenes between the two of them. So, for example, if you click on a scarab, you'll see the two investigate it together. By seeing the points of interest, you'll earn three Agnidus Agate Fragments you can use to ascend Dehya, get two Mystic Enhancement Ores for weapons, collect 20,000 Mora, and be gifted 40 Primogems. Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Scarlet Sands web event will run until March 2, 2023. Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 1:00 PM Hey, I just got home! Yeah, sorry I couldn't call sooner. This last job I was on had some surprisingly strict security. Where? Oh, I thought I told you. PowerWash sent me to this place called Midgar… that Final Fantasy VII place, to do some work for Shinra. Yes, I know Shinra is an evil, capitalist corporation responsible for the deaths and downfalls of thousands of innocent people. I mean, what company isn't at this point? If I start narrowing things down to employers who aren't actively doing harm, I'll never work. Besides, $75 to wash one motorcycle and one car in a swanky, climate-controlled place when it's 32 degrees out and eggs are $4 a carton? A girl's gotta eat. Besides, it really wasn't that bad. The Head of Urban Development let me into the Shinra Electric Power Company headquarters and let me into the showroom. Needed me to clean off a standard Shinra Model sA-37 Hauler and one of those new Hardy Daytona prototypes. Both were a real mess. Like with the Hauler, you could tell it was a used model. Had to blast off the remnants of old work logos, even. Once I finally got it clean, I could see the headlights were on, but I doubt it was functional. Like that seemed like more of an antique piece at this point. Straightforward stuff. Though I will say the exhaust pipes were, pardon my language, a bitch to clean. I had to go through three different nozzles trying to get into the holes and inner workings. Soap? No, I'm not going to use soap on that one. It'd be a waste of money and, like, even though this is a major potential client, I'm not going to waste product. Besides, the Hardy Daytona was way more intricate and needed it. That test model was gorgeous. There are so many details to it. There were so many times when I'd step back, look, and be like, "Okay, this is only 98% done. But I can't see any dirt on that tire or kickstand." The soap and the wide angle nozzles were a godsend. Oh, yeah. You know that Urban Development guy I told you about? The one who hired me. Honestly, Reeve Tuesti seemed like a decent dude, for Shinra. I figured I'd be stuck with security babysitting me, since like Hardy Daytonas are a big deal. But he was cool. Left me to my business. Checked in every once in a while with a text. Seemed like he's genuinely proud of the Hauler and bike, honestly. Wasn't condescending or anything, even though he probably makes more in a year that I have in my life. Ask him out? No, I'm not going to ask him out. I'll work for a company filled with psychopathic mass murderers, but I'm not going to date them. Especially after the second gig. Yeah, I got even more work from Shinra after I did so well with the Hardy Daytona and Hauler. That… I mean, it was terrifying. You're not going to tell anyone about this, right? This is Shinra. Do you get that? Hell, given their reach, they're probably listening right now. Hey, Mr. Investigation Sector of the General Affairs Department Agent, I really love your suits! Okay. But this stays here. The head of Public Safety hired me to clean off one of its mechs. Called it a "Scorpion Sentinel." Had a bunch of legs and a laser on a tail, like a scorpion. Now this dude I could just tell is an asshole. His name was Heidegger. While that Tuesti was all personable and polite, it felt like every text from Heidegger was a threat. Like he mentioned how I "probably" was safe and wouldn't get hurt. All proud of his weapons, but not like in the wholesome way Tuesti was. Like creepy. I... I don't think there was any blood on it? It... I don't want to think about that. I was... I definitely saw Mako, which is weird. Especially... exposure to that can get you sick, right? I had my suit on, but... Anyways. I'm trying to rationalize this. Like, "No big deal. For over $100, I can clean the murder machine!" Except it's on. That. Idiot. Left. The. Damn. Scorpion. Sentinel. On. I nearly fainted when the damn thing looked at me. It's not funny! I could have died! Maybe! Anyways, allegedly it was so I could move the arms on it to get all of the angles while cleaning it. Said it was the same reason a step stool and scaffolding was nearby. But I did not expect that as I had to get into all the nooks and crannies and clean that up. Which, by the way, was way harder than I expected. Like I deserved another couple hundred for that, because I was parkouring all around that robot. Worst jungle gym ever. I kept analyzing the situation, checking my tablet, and thinking, "How is this only 95% clean?" Nightmare. Oh… I've got to go. Yeah, I have another job. This woman named Tifa from the Sector 7 Slums hired me to clean up her bar. Ever hear of Seventh Heaven? Yeah, I hear it's nice. It'll be good to work for an ordinary person after dealing with Shinra. Later! PowerWash Simulator is available for the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The PowerWash Simulator Final Fantasy VII Midgar Special Pack DLC will be out on March 2, 2023. Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 12:30 PM Futurlab revealed more details for the Final Fantasy VII Midgar Special Pack in Powerwash Simulator. The second of Powerwash Simulator's tie-ins with other games, the Midgar Special Pack allows players to clean up various locations last seen in Final Fantasy VII Remake. The expansion will contain five levels for players to clean up, and the developer went in-depth on two of them. First up is the Mighty Scorpion Sentinel, best known to Final Fantasy VII players as the first boss fight. It features moving parts and a new dirt type based on Mako Energy residue. The second level is Tifa's Seventh Heaven bar as it appeared in Remake. It features additional items to clean, including Cloud's Buster Sword. The player will also receive messages from members of Avalanche as they clean the bar. Other levels that will feature in the expansion will be one with the Hardy Daytona and Shinra Hauler, another that features the Mako Energy Exhibit inside Shinra HQ, and a chance to clean the Airbuster boss. All five were as previously announced. The Midgar Special Pack is the second crossover content for Powerwash Simulator. Croft Manor from Tomb Raider appeared as another free DLC pack earlier in 2023. Powerwash Simulator is available now on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X,, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The Midgar Special Pack will be released on March 2, 2023. The post Final Fantasy VII PowerWash Simulator DLC Details Shared appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 12:00 PM Steam Deck owners can play Octopath Traveler 2, as the product page revealed it is "verified." This means the game completely supports the handheld's controls, you'll be able to read all text, and it generally performs well. This means Octopath Traveler 2 is the first entry in the series to be Steam Deck verified. The original game, which came out in 2019, isn't. However, it does have a "playable" status. That means it generally works on the handheld. The product page does note the player will need to adjust the resolution to make sure it looks right. In addition to the announcement regarding its Steam Deck compatibility, Square Enix shared final pieces of Octopath Traveler 2 character art. First, a piece showing the merchants Partitio and Tressa appeared.
Then, the countdown ended with a picture of the cast that was shared worldwide.

Siliconera Friday, February 24, 2023 11:15 AM As you look around and explore the Octopath Traveler 2 map, eventually you may realize there's no way to reach certain areas. This is because there's an extra way to get around. If you want to get to everything, you need a boat. While you can buy rides to certain ports without one, certain areas are inaccessible without one. If you're trying to figure out how to buy a boat in Octopath Traveler 2, you'll need three things: Partitio, access to Tropu'hopu, and 100,000 leaves. First, the opportunity to even buy a boat in Octopath Traveler 2 won't happen unless Partitio is in your party. Add him to your group, then head to the shipyard area in Tropu'hopu. (Head to the exit to the east when you first get or fast travel to that town.) Once you get to the shipyard, an event will automatically trigger if Partitio is in your party. You'll see a man arguing about the price of a boat. Partitio will show interest in what's going on. Proceed further into the area and walk toward the person standing on the dock. This is Terry, and approaching will immediately kick off another event. From here, you'll learn that you need 100,000 leaves to buy the boat Terry built. Now, since I started my journey with Throne, I basically didn't make any purchases for the first 20 hours unless I needed items for Inventor skills. (I did a lot of stealing.) By the time I reached Tropu'hopu, I had the money to buy the boat. However, if you haven't been stealing from everyone or beating them up to mug their belongings, you can get the money via going through Partitio's storyline and general gameplay. If you do have 100,000 leaves, you can immediately buy the boat. Terry will use the funds to complete it. You can then decide what color you'd like it to be (unpainted, black, blue, and red are options) and if you'd like a design on the sails (an octopus, sun, or trident are available). You can then set sail from ports to the open ocean. This means you can come across islands, treasures, or otherwise inaccessible areas. However, note that the seas are dangerous! I'd say make sure your party is around level 34, to ensure the enemies lurking in the ocean don't cause too much damage. Octopath Traveler 2 is available for the Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available. The post How to Buy a Boat in Octopath Traveler 2 appeared first on Siliconera. |

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Friday, February 24, 2023 4:55 PM If you wish to experience something a little more off the wall than your average game, then you may want to pay attention to developer Strange Scaffold's latest title. This game, dubbed El Paso, Elsewhere, recently received a brand-new trailer that fully showcases its surreal imagery. Although the third-person shooting and slow-motion diving take clear inspiration from Max Payne, the visuals deviate quite heavily from that franchise. They both share a blocky, low-poly aesthetic, but El Paso, Elsewhere sets itself apart by forgoing any sense of groundedness. The Steam page gives a brief description of what players can expect from El Paso, Elsewhere, which it calls a "supernatural neo-noir third-person shooter." You assume the role of James Savage as he navigates a motel filled with bizarre, reality-bending rooms and imagery. Along the way, he will encounter werewolves, fallen angels, vampires, and other supernatural foes that he must take down using his stylish acti... |

Obtaining these recipes lets you create powerful weapons, consumables, and ammo to help you on your journey. Related: Atomic Heart review — An ambitious shooter that falls short of greatness Atomic Heart: Zvezdochka blueprint Location Contrary to what some players think, most recipes and blueprints in Atomic Heart don't have a set spawn. In the case of the Zvezdochka, this chest can be found in the village you emerge from after first exiting the Vavilov Complex.
