Yet another VShojo VTuber is getting a new model, and this time it is Kson. She announced it via her official Twitter account. People will get to see it at 12pm PT/3pm ET on May 11, 2023. The teaser video noted people can see it on the Smite Twitch channel. Here's the teaser footage. It shows some art of Kson and model imagery. There's no silhouette to offer more of a hint at what people can expect.
Kson's new model announcement makes her the third VShojo VTuber to get a new look in May 2023. Both Ironmouse and Zentreya also announced they'd be getting new looks too. Ironmouse's will also appear on May 11, 2023. People will be able to see it at 12pm PT/3pm ET. Zentreya's will show up later in the month on May 20, 2023. In other Kson news, she is one of the top five Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name winners. This means she'll appear in its hostess club minigame. There's an update on Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it has to do with another delay. Team Cherry's Matthew "Leth" Griffin, who handles the marketing and PR for the game, issued a statement on Twitter. Instead of arriving in early 2023 as planned, it is now pushed out of the first half. Here is Griffin's first statement. He cited the team's desire to focus on the title's quality as an explanation for the extended development.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is a follow-up to the original game starring Hornet. In the original game, players would occasionally clash with her. As she wields a needle with a thread attached to it, her attacks are quite different than the Knight's. As a reminder, here's how it looks: We haven't seen much of the game in the last few years. However, it did appear during the E3 2019 Nintendo Treehouse Live stream. It didn't appear at E3 2021, for example. Hollow Knight: Silksong will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and it is delayed out of the first half of 2023. As of May 9, 2023, VTuber Suou Patra is no longer a part of 774 Inc. She is now an independent content creator and will continue to use her current identity. Patra merchandise is still available on 774 Inc.'s website for those who wanted to buy something. However, the company will stop selling it once it runs out of its current stock. The notification on the official Twitter account for 774 Inc. apologized for the sudden announcement and thanked fans for how long they've supported Patra. It also requests that fans do not bother other VTubers associated with 774 Inc. or ask them any questions about the Patra situation. Patra herself has made a statement to us on her channel in regards to her departure from the company. Though she will be an independent VTuber, she will be allowed to keep her avatar and her channel. She will also continue to produce ASMR and gaming content. According to her announcement, she started thinking about leaving 774 Inc. after the the company disbanded Honey Strap. Honey Strap was a unit that Patra and five other VTubers belonged to. But on March 21, 2023, 774 Inc. consolidated it with Nanashi Inc. We saw an upheaval in the VTuber industry starting in late March 2023. Many VTubers retired or graduated abruptly, with some companies experience an exodus en masse. All members of the third generation VTubers from Production Kawaii, as well as three streamers from VShojo, all left their companies. Judging by Veibae, Production Kawaii, and now Patra's comments, disagreements between management and talent seem to be the leading cause of these current departures. Currently, this project goes by the codename Project Bloom, and as one would expect, details remain scarce thus far. If you have just heard about this, you might wonder if Project Bloom will serve as another entry in the Pokémon series. Although Game Freak has worked on other titles before, Pokémon remains their go-to franchise. With this in mind, such a question would not be unwarranted. Is Project Bloom part of the Pokémon IP? As it turns out, not only does Project Bloom not belong in the Pokémon franchise, but it also serves as quite the departure from Game Freak's usual fare. Working with publisher Private Division for the first time, Game Freak promises to deliver an "ambitious" action-adventure title.
