PCGamesN Friday, May 19, 2023 5:12 PM A Destiny 2 fish weapon created as a joke in light of the forthcoming Season of the Deep is making the rounds, as some people believed the fan-created gun was an actual hand cannon from Bungie set to appear in the FPS game. The hilariously-designed item is the product of stellar graphic design work as one Destiny 2 fan took the hand cannon model and added a fish body to it, with what would be the fish's mouth doubling as the barrel of the weapon. With a sizable roster coming and more characters arriving on the scene after release, it's time to rank them in order of who will most consistently be the best pick as the champion of World Warriors. Right now, this list comes with a big caveat. Given that only eight characters of the 16 are available in the fighting game's full release and will be available during the Street Fighter 6 beta, we can only judge which of those members of the Street Fighter 6 roster are worth playing. Unlike Diablo 3 which featured set character designs, each class's appearance in Diablo 4 can be customised, even down to the skin colour of each character. Diablo 4's release date may be a few weeks away, but we've had hands-on experience with the Diablo 4 beta, and there's the Server Slam this weekend to try out, so there's every chance for you to chop monsters if you want to. PCGamesN Friday, May 19, 2023 12:23 PM What are the best crime games on PC? Videogames are and have always been, all about fulfilling a fantasy. We step into virtual worlds to fight evil, slay monsters, grab sweet loot, or go to war online. They're a chance to do something we wouldn't usually do - and that includes crime games. With that in mind, games that focus on crime are popular for that very reason - they're (hopefully) not something you'd attempt in real life. Ever since RPG game Grand Theft Auto challenged players to earn as many Wanted stars as possible, gamers have been pushing the limits of reckless behavior and general naughtiness. We reckon at least one of these is sure to make you an offer you can't refuse, as they aren't only naughty power fantasies, but some of the best PC games ever. Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Friday, May 19, 2023 12:44 PM Kujlevka is a strange, clever game about an ageing village bureaucrat already troubled by political upheaval and dreams about death and trauma, suddenly given responsibility for communicating with and controlling access to what appears to be humanity's first contact with an alien intelligence. All those themes suggest a heavy, self-serious game. But Kujlevka's great strength is its levity. While not particularly funny, its consistent wry humour perfectly counterbalances all the talk of political chaos, existential futility, and petty greed. Its opening should have been a clue, really, considering you hang out with skeletons while drinking and commenting on the food on a train in outer space. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Friday, May 19, 2023 12:00 PM Of the various corporatised fictional universes out there, Star Wars is the one I'm most emotionally invested in. But my affection for George Lucas' brain-baby is less about the stories and characters, and more about the general vibe of the galaxy itself. I love its retro-futurist junkpunk style, the rusty spaceships, dusty planets, and fusty aliens. That's why I've more fondness for games like Dark Forces and KotOR than any of the films or TV shows, as they let me poke around locations like Tatooine and Ord Mantell at my own pace. Hence, the idea of being properly, immerse in Star Wars, to be physically surrounded by it and able to touch it, is probably my ultimate VR fantasy. Sod the imaginatively inert virtual spaces of Horizon Worlds, if Mark Zuckerberg really wanted to sell the Metaverse to me, he'd build the whole thing out in Mos Eisely chic, and let me run my own virtual cantina selling NFT space-drinks to legless bounty hunters and idiot Web3 prospectors. |

However, due to the persisting popularity of Duel Monsters, companies still release merchandise for it to this day. In late December 2022, for example, Bandai Spirits released a real-life Millennium Puzzle that would glow and play music after you complete it. The Yu-Gi-Oh Arti-Mate items are available for pre-order on Animate's website until July 23, 2023. The products will start to ship on September 23, 2023. Since Animate does not offer international shipping, that date is only for Japanese customers. The post Animate Yu-Gi-Oh Merchandise Focus on KC and Yami Yugi appeared first on Siliconera. |
Siliconera Friday, May 19, 2023 3:00 PM We've gotten to spend quite a bit of time with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomnow that it's been around for a week. Granted, given it is a game that could take dozens or hundreds of hours to really master, we might not be sure how we feel about it. Not to mention so many other past installments have offered us all sorts of adventures over the year. So this week, we decided it might be a good idea for us all to share what we like best about some of our favorite The Legend of Zelda games. One of the greatest things about the The Legend of Zelda series is that there is a game for everyone in it. For me, it also happens to be the first one I ever played as a kid. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a fantastic game, whether you play the original Game Boy version, the Game Boy Color port, or the 2019 Switch remake. There is no wrong way of experiencing one of Link's most interesting adventures. To top it all of, the soundtrack of Link's Awakening is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever heard in a video game. — Daniel I'd say The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is probably the game I liked best. There are so many silly elements, and it all feels so lighthearted. There can be a lot of darkness in Hyrule, but tempering that with a cap that lets me turn super teeny and see the world from a whole new perspective is pretty great. -- Jenni I always enjoy The Legend of Zelda games, but there's only one that has truly stuck with me on a deeper level. The series rarely does much for me narrative-wise, but Majora's Mask is a huge exception to this. It's basically a horror game in disguise, with its Groundhog Day premise and angry moon hanging in the sky. The stories of everyone in Clock Town and the surrounding areas of Termina are so simple yet so heart-wrenching. There's something deeply troubled about that world that makes me desperately want to be its hero. Plus the Song of Healing is one of the best music pieces in the entire series. - Leigh Before, I would have said one of the Oracle games. Oracle of Ages was the first The Legend of Zelda game I ever played and completed! And I loved it to death. But after the years, there's one game that has grown on me in ways I almost didn't expect, and that's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. With an incredible cast of characters and a gorgeous score, this more low fantasy version of Hyrule embodies the dusk the game itself references within its very title. It's moody, dark, but not without a glimmer of hope lingering on the horizon. Even to this day I'd love for Nintendo make something of a sequel for it, just to see Midna one more time. (Also the Ganondorf design and fight in Twilight Princess is unparalleled.) -- Kazuma While I have yet to meet a The Legend of Zelda game I don't like, the one I always go back to is Majora's Mask. The darker, more somber tone to quite literally every aspect is both a nice change of pace and incredibly well done. It puts an emphasis on exploring the world and completing side quests that's great for making you want to play more as well as for replay value. And frankly, I'm a big fan of the three-day cycle. It gives the game a sense of urgency while adding to the darker themes. Plus the Fierce Deity is unbelievably cool and I will probably cry like a baby if it's ever brought back. -- Adam The post Which The Legend of Zelda Game Do You Like Best? appeared first on Siliconera. |

Siliconera Friday, May 19, 2023 12:30 PM Sega announced the first dates for the Sonic Symphony World Tour. The show will feature orchestral arrangements of music from across the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise's soundtracks. So far dates are confirmed for London, UK and Los Angeles, CA shows. The first performance of the Sonic Symphony World Tour will take place at the Barbican Hall in London, UK on September 16, 2023. The second performance will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on September 30, 2023. These are currently the only dates announced. Sega will be producing the show alongside Soundtrec and SOHO Live. Tickets for both shows open for presale on May 25, 2023 at 10am local time. General sales open on May 26, 2023. The tour follows on from the success of previous symphonic performances of music from Sonic the Hedgehog games' soundtracks. In June 2021, Sega held a concert over live stream to celebrate the Sonic franchise's 30th anniversary. This was followed by a performance at the Brasil Game Show in 2022. A world tour was confirmed at the same time as this second performance, but these are the first dates announced since the show in Brazil. Based on the announcement trailer using footage from the 30th Anniversary Concert, it's likely that the new performances will be similar. This means fans can expect orchestral medleys of instrumental music from across the Sonic series. These will be mixed with vocal themes such as "Endless Possibility" from Sonic Unleashed performed with a rock band. The presence of Sonic Frontiers in the trailer suggests music from that game will also be making an appearance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XJJC01WzJI The Sonic Symphony World Tour takes place on September 16, 2023 in London and September 30, 2023 in Los Angeles. Siliconera Friday, May 19, 2023 10:30 AM Square Enix shared the preliminary 6.4 Final Fantasy XIV patch notes, which spend time going over some of the new story quest, sidequest, dungeon, trial, and raid details. As this is just an initial overview, not every detail is there. For example, there is information about some quests and new dungeons and trials. However, specifics for job changes and other alterations don't come up yet. Those appear closer to launch. The 6.4 Final Fantasy XIV patch notes start by going over details about new quests. The new Main Scenario Quests kick off with "Currying Flavor." You'll need to be a Disciple of War or Magic at level 90 who finished "Gods Revel, Lands Tremble" to take part. If you have, then you can visit Varshahn at Radz-at-Han (X:4.4 Y:9.8) to start it. It's the first of nine new quests. If you beat Chronicles of a New Era's "Truth Imperfect," you can continue that storyline with "Eater of Souls." People who meet the Disciple of War or Magic requirement can meet Ruissenaud at Labyrinthos (X:8.6 Y:27.5) to start the first of five new quests. There are also three new. Tataru's Grand Endeavor quests, which begin with "Aggressive Expansion." That requires you to finish both the "previous quest in that line "Small Business, Big Dreams" and the Chronicles of a New Era one "Forever at Your Side." While it doesn't get into exact job changes yet, the Final Fantasy XIV patch notes for 6.4 do talk about some dungeon, trial, and raid details. The Aetherfont is going to be a new dungeon for ideally a group of four Disciple of War or Magic level 90 players who also have an item level of at least 605. You also have 90 minutes to finish it. As for the Golbez The Voidcast Dais Trial, we now know it has an average item level of 615 or higher, is for eight people who are at level 90, and needs to be done within 60 minutes on standard. For the Extreme version, the recommended average item level is at least 630. Like the Trial, the Pandæmonium: Anabaseios Raid has the same level 615 average item level requirement and allows an eight player party of people at level 90. It also has a 90 minute time limit and requires you to beat Chronicles of a New Era's "Eater of Souls." Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on PC, PS4, and PS5, and patch 6.4 will release on May 23, 2023.
