Team Fortress 2 star teases new project with Valve

Team Fortress 2 Sniper actor John Lowrie is back at Valve and working on a new project. With Team Fortress 2 now 16 years old (oof, that hurts), the thought of something new for the FPS game is tantalizing. But perhaps it's even bigger. Lowrie tells fans to "stay calm," but he's also lent his talents to Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead, and his partner and regular collaborator is of course, Ellen McLain, aka, GLaDOS from Portal. I don't want to get too excited here, but we have been waiting on Half-Life 3 for a pretty long time now. Do I dare to dream?

Starfield Direct is coming to cinemas

Starfield gameplay, plot details, customization, combat - we're hoping to see it all at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase, which will include an entire special event dedicated to Bethesda's latest. With the space RPG game set to arrive in the imminent future, the Starfield Direct will be our next significant look at the Skyrim and Fallout successor, and will hopefully tell us more about all 1,000 in-game planets. And now, to make things even better, the Starfield Direct - like all great sci-fi space odysseys - is coming to cinemas, and you could win the chance to watch it live on the big screen.

Forget Seele – Honkai Star Rail's trash cans steal the show

While the ever-expanding Honkai Star Rail roster certainly drew me towards Hoyoverse's turn-based RPG game, I quickly realized that the real stars of the show are the trash cans - inanimate objects that have provided me with far too many laughs throughout my adventure.

And no, that isn't a typo; I'm seriously talking about trash cans. Scattered throughout the galaxy just like the stars themselves, these waste disposal units have won the hearts of Trailblazers from across the cosmos. Why? Well, they have unique interactions that trigger when you approach them, and honestly, they're absolutely priceless.

RTS threequel Homeworld 3 has been delayed to February 2024, flying away from its previous "first half of 2023" release window. The developers say they need more time to live up to the series' standards, presumably with more epic spacefleet shootouts. For those missing the series' galactic megastructures, the devs have promised to share their biggest "progress update" yet later this summer. Possibly at one of this year's NotE3 showcases.

Survival horror reboot Alone In The Dark is coming out on October 25th, publisher THQ announced last night. This new game reimagines the haunted Derceto Manor from the 1992 original, this time with a fancier coat of paint, a third-person camera view, and some famous faces. And if you'd like an early teaser of what's in store, there's a free prologue chapter available now, letting you explore a slice of the Southern Gothic mansion.

Danganronpa 2 Chiaki Nendoroid Announced

One of the new Good Smile Company WonHobbyG 2023 Spring announcements is a Danganronpa figure reveal. Specifically, a Nendoroid of Chiaki Nanami from Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is in development. As she's still in the process of being designed, only an unpainted prototype version of the character showed up at the event. While this is her first appearance in the line, she did show up as a Nendoroid Pin before.

Here's a better look at how progress on the Chiaki Danganronpa 2 Nendoroid is going. The prototype shown isn't holding any accessories, so there's no hint as to what she may come with when released.

We've seen plenty of Danganronpa series figures from Good Smile Company before. The original Nendoroids involved recreations of Makoto Naegi and Monokuma. Junko became a Nendoroid too. There are also various Pop Up Parade and scale figures of characters from the games too.

The Danganronpa 2 Chiaki Nendoroid is in development from Good Smile Company. You can find the Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair game on the PSP in Japan and on the Switch, PS4, Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices worldwide.

Hollow Knight Nendoroids Include The Knight and Hornet

During its WonHobbyG 2023 Spring announcements, Good Smile Company revealed its Hollow Knight Nendoroids of The Knight and Hornet. There are no release dates for either figure. However, they did appear as painted prototypes.

Here's the official reveal. It didn't show any additional face plates for The Knight or Hornet. However, each character is wielding a weapon in this initial announcement. It also seems like their capes will be designed to be dynamic and show movement. The Knight's is frayed a bit, while Hornet's is more put together. Both of them are billowing in the example photos.

The next Hollow Knight game is still in development. Earlier in 2023, we learned that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be delayed until later in 2023. That is the Metroidvania that will follow Hornet on her own adventure. As people may recall, the original game focused on The Knight, though Hornet also featured rather prominently in the story and also played a part.

Good Smile Company's Hollow Knight The Knight and Hornet Nendoroids are in development. There's no release date yet. The original game is on the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Hollow Knight: Silksong will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
