Want to know more about the upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.

There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. When a new Genshin Impact character joins the game, the devs launch a web event at the same time - players learn about the latest characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. Similar to some of the best RPG games, the rewards for completing different events range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.

While you can absolutely win games and climb the ranked ladder with nearly anyone in the lower ranks, the changes that come via champion and item balancing can tip the scales enough that some picks are almost mandatory, regardless of which rank you play in.

We've put together a few picks for each lane that have become especially overpowered recently in League of Legends. Whether it's due to a buff, kit change, or item change, these are safe picks if you're looking to climb the solo queue ranks in the free PC game.      The best DayZ servers 2023

What are the best DayZ servers to join in 2023? We've scoured the internet looking for the top DayZ servers and server clusters to cater to all experiences. Whether you're looking for some intense PvP, a relaxed PvE sandbox, a modded server that offers something totally fresh, or even a place to roleplay like DayZ Underground, where a creative community has really lived out years' worth of stories, creating authentic in-universe lore. We'll also talk about what awaits you on the official servers.

Dean Hall, perhaps the leading figure in the survival game sandbox revolution of the early 2010s, first created the zombie game as a mod within ARMA 2, and then joined Bohemia Interactive to work on a standalone release. While Hall has since moved on, Bohemia has continued to update the game, and it has come a long way from its first form as a zombie-survival sim. Dozens of additional systems have almost turned it into a life sim, and endless mod-ability means that if you can't do something in the vanilla release, you can probably do it on a modded server somewhere. But all this flexibility has produced a varied range of online experiences, and navigating that landscape can be confusing. That's where we come in. Read on for our list of some of the best and most populated official and community servers, and a breakdown of exactly what they offer to the discerning DayZ player.

Baldur's Gate 3 lore – story, setting, timeline

What is the story of Baldur's Gate 3? Few series have as deep and complicated lore as the Baldur's Gate games. Ever since played the Gunbrella demo at the Devolver Digital booth at PAX West last year, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it again. I don't usually go for nails Metriodvanias, but there's something about Gunbrella's slick, parkour platforming and scrappy world that made me wanna give it a chance. Oh, and the deadly brolly, of course. I mean, it's a gunbrella. What else is there to say?

The demo I played at PAX is now available to download and play on Steam, and I highly recommend it. Even if you're a bit like me and Metriodvanias aren't really your thing, the hour-long demo is entirely linear, and messing around with the gunbrella's many, many abilities is more than a good enough reason to have a play, even if you're just mucking around.

nier automata masterline 2b figure header

A 1/3 Masterline figure of 2B from NieR Automata is available to pre-order from the Square Enix store. There is a standard version and a DX one, and they're both only on the Japanese version of the store. The normal version costs 253,000 JPY ($1755.65) and the DX version costs 275,000 JPY ($1908.30).

The 2B figure is around 95 centimeters tall (including the base) and weighs around 21 kilograms. Even if you can manage to find a proxy service to send it over from Japan, the shipping fee would be quite high. The base is a machine lifeform and the Heavy Armor is behind her as well. Pod 042 is floating alongside her. If you get the DX version, you can remove her skirt and visor.

Here is a trailer for the Masterline 2B figure:

Though the North America Square Enix store doesn't have this particular 1/3 Masterline 2B figure, it does sell the 1/4 scale figure of 2B in her 2P color. She has a flipped color palette than usual, so she has black hair and a white dress. She is also standing on a machine lifeform while Pod 042 floats beside her.

NieR Automata is readily available on the PS4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. The 1/3 Masterline figure of 2B is available for pre-order from the Japanese Square Enix store and it'll come out on March 31, 2024.

People can get a sample of the next Final Fantasy VII game, as the FFVII Ever Crisis closed beta is now live. Until July 13, 2023, people who got in can sample the RPG. Now that it launched, Square Enix revealed the guidelines for sharing and streaming content from it, details about its first two weapon banners, and the limitations for the co-op battle feature.

When it comes to posting about FFVII Ever Crisis online, the restrictions are fairly typical. It asks for the "© Square Enix" copyright notice to be shared, to only use original Square Enix content, to not use it commercially, and to not use leaked, unreleased, or unofficial content. It also asks people to avoid spoilers. It requests people to not be offensive and use language that could be hateful. But otherwise, sharing is allowed.

With the weapon banner Stamp Draws for the FFVII Ever Crisis closed beta, there are two options. One features equipment for the new characters Glenn and Matt. People who pull on it can get the five-star Crewkicker for Glenn or Killer Hornet for Matt. The Stamp Reward for that banner is the Killer Attire for Matt. The Cloud and Barret banner features Murasame for Cloud and Microlaser for Barret. These are also both five-star weapons. The reward for that banner is the Murasame Armor for Cloud.

Here's a closer look at them both:

As for the co-op battles in the closed beta, the Scorpion Sentinel from FFVII and Wu & Tai from Crisis Core will appear. However, you can't always participate in them.

The Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis closed beta runs until July 13, 2023. The full game's release will follow sometime after on Android and Apple iOS devices.

usj biohazard the extreme

Universal Studios Japan will bring back its Resident Evil Halloween event called the "Biohazard: The Extreme" under the new name "Biohazard: The Extreme+." It will introduce new creatures and characters. You will have to defeat enemies and protect Raccoon City for a high score.

"Biohazard: The Extreme+" is a maze that will let you feel the fear of the Resident Evil series but in real life. There will be two routes that you can take, the "Leon" route and the "Claire" one. Just like in Resident Evil 2, you'll encounter different monsters and characters depending on what room you take. There will also be Mr. Raccoon toys hidden in both the maze and around the park itself.

In 2022, USJ also introduced a lot of new limited menu items based on Resident Evil as part of its "Biohazard: The Extreme" campaign. Though there are no pictures of what the attraction is like actually inside of it, it appears to be a real maze that you walk through. Monsters and characters you see will likely be projected onto a screen rather than actors in a costume.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. You'll be able to find the "Biohazard: The Extreme" maze in New York Area of USJ. It'll be available from September 8 to November 15, 2023. To access this attraction, you'll need to buy a pass beforehand via the USJ website.

game re:set pc version

Sega opened up pre-registrations for the PC version of 404 Game Re:Set. You'll be able to pre-register from DMM Games and you'll be able to link your mobile account as well. So if you've already started to play the game on mobile and want to move to PC in the future, you won't lose any of the progress you've made or characters you've collected. [Thanks, Gamer!]

Another benefit to playing on the DMM Games server is that Sega will hand out 20 pulls' of gems to PC players. So there are benefits for mobile players who did not plan to move to the PC version. In order to pre-register, you will need to have a DMM account. There is no release window as of yet for the PC version.

404 Game Re:Set has Yoko Taro (Drakengard, NieR) at the helm as the writer. The story of the game centers around purifying corrupted retro Sega games, who all appear as anime girls. Games that you can get in the gacha include Crazy  Taxi, The House of the Dead, and Virtua Racing. It is quite popular in Japan, reaching a million downloads about a week after it came out. However, there is still no news as of yet in regards to an international or localized release.

404 Game Re:Set is available on mobile devices in Japan. There's no release window just yet for the PC version. We don't know when or if it could appear worldwide as well.

Fate/Samurai Remnant Preview PS5

The standout game I played during my time at Anime Expo 2023 was none other than Koei Tecmo and Omega Force's upcoming hack-and-slash crossover title, Fate/Samurai Remnant. I will admit that I have played and reviewed many Musou games in the past, despite not being a huge fan of the sub-genre. I feel the best Musou games are the ones that take the idea of massive battles and add a unique licensed wrinkle into the manner, such as Dragon Quest Heroes II and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It's safe to say that Fate/Samurai Remnant continues this welcome trend after my time playing a preview build on PS5.

As an already existing Fate fan, this is the way to get me to jump back into a Musou game. Taking place in a historical version of Asakusa, Japan during a previous Holy Grail War, players get to take the role of Miyamoto Iori and his servant, Saber.

[caption id="attachment_971711" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Fate/Samurai Remnant Preview PS5 Image via Koei Tecmo[/caption]

Fate/Samurai Remnant Seamlessly Integrates Combat

These Fate/Samurai Remnant characters are a bit different than the Saber and other Servants you might know from the more chronologically recent entries in the series. Though my demo was timed, I tried to take some time to explore Asakusa, which was beautifully recreated with NPCs to talk to and little side activities.

The main goal of the preview, seemingly set early in the game, was to collect money for a debtor. I got to run around the surprisingly stunning town, getting money from cats and shut-ins, while also unlocking new abilities to use in the intriguing take on Musou combat.

Instead of the usual battlefield scenarios where you have a mission to win, the combat seems more cleanly included in the story. At one point, I encountered a debtor I had to take down and he had dozens of cronies that he brought along with him.

This short combat segment felt like a mostly typical Musou fight. I had the dozens of smaller nameless enemies I could ignore while I focus on the larger foe. There are combos you can use featuring the light and heavy attack, which generally deal massive cinematic damage to all nearby enemies.

In addition, there are four skills you can use to deal even more damage, but you can only use them occasionally. Initially, I played as Miyamoto Iori, the Master in this game. He has two special forms, one for Earth and another for Water, that changes his skills and style.

[caption id="attachment_971713" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Fate/Samurai Remnant Preview PS5 Image via Koei Tecmo[/caption]

It Captures the Cinematic Feel of the Anime Series

I like the variance the gameplay offers, with its fast and fun gameplay. Movement and dodging is seamless, letting me zip in and out of attacks with ease. Eventually, the tight demo included a flashy climactic moment where I got to play as this game's Saber.

The young hero had their own set of skills that I could use. I appreciated how each of Saber's attacks and skills are unbelievably over-the-top, giving off some of anime studio Ufotable's style in a way. There was also a fantastic team attack I could use that saw Master and Servant join together.

The finale of the demo concluded with meeting the first of six other Servants in the game. This massive hulking foe was my singular enemy in the drawn out fight. Interestingly enough, the mysterious Servant had a break bar unlike previous foes. This break bar decreased the more hits I used on the enemy. My attacks were pretty underwhelming until I broke the Servant, leading to me decimating the foe nearly instantly with how much more powerful attacks became.

[caption id="attachment_971712" align="aligncenter" width="1200"]Fate/Samurai Remnant Preview PS5 Image via Koei Tecmo[/caption]

The demo only lasted about 10 minutes for me, but I appreciated that Fate/Samurai Remnant doesn't seem to have the typical mission-based structure of Musou games. It appears to have a more natural and bombastic structure similar to the anime itself. With the bits of story content it teased regarding this particular Holy Grail War, this game just shot up to be one of my most anticipated titles this year.

Fate/Samurai Remnant will release on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on September 29, 2023.

yuji naka prison

The Tokyo District Court served Yuji Naka (co-creator of the Sonic the Hedgehog series and former director of Balan Wonderworld) a two-and-a-half year prison sentence, as well as a four year suspended one. Basically, he is on probation and risks going to jail for two-and-a-half years if he breaks the rules that the court imposed upon him. He has also received a fine of 2.5 million JPY, with a surcharge of 170 million JPY. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

The Yuji Naka case started in November 2022 when the authorities arrested in for inside trading. He was arrested again in a second scandal involving insider trading a month later in December 2022. Insider trading is using non-public information to give yourself an edge when trading in a public company's stock.

For reference, during his first scandal, Yuji Naka bought approximately 10,000 shares (2.8 million JPY) of Aiming stock. This is because he knew about the development of Dragon Quest Tact. His second one involved 120,000 shares of Ateam stocks (about 144.7 million JPY) prior to the release of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.

During the trial, his defense argued that Naka did not actively go out of his way to seek out this information. Instead, someone sent it to him by accident. It's clear that this argument did not convince the court.

The Tokyo District Court has sentenced Yuji Naka to 2 years and 6 months of prison, a suspended sentence of 4 years, and a total fine of around 172.5 million JPY.
