Something about its off-putting utopian setting and BioShock-esque gameplay made me want more. Within twenty-four hours of its release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 achieved over 2.5 million sales. The Insomniac Games project is the fastest-selling game in the history of PS Studios. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
This number takes into account sales, both domestic and international, and digital and physical versions of the game. As mentioned earlier, this is the fastest-selling title from any developer under PlayStation Studios. Other Sony studios include Naughty Dog (The Last of Us, Jak and Daxter), Santa Monica Studio (God of War), and Sucker Punch (Sly Cooper series, Infamous series).
According to reviews on Metacritic, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has a 90 metascore (based on critic reviews) and a 9.1 user score. Metacritic took 133 critic reviews and 3,345 user ratings to get these averages. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is the third entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series of video games on PlayStation.
It's a direct sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man, released in 2018, and the follow-up, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. You get to play as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in this one, which increases the types of moves you can perform. Enemies the duo has to face include Kraven the Hunter and the Venom symbiote.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is now available exclusively on the PS5.

Aladdin X has announced that its viral Switch exclusive, Suika Game, has exceeded 2 million downloads within Japan. Though the game initially came out in December 2021, it reached the sales milestone after accumulating a million downloads within twelve days. [Thanks, 4Gamer and Dengeki Online!]
On October 10, 2023, Aladdin X revealed that Suika Game had been downloaded over a million times between early September and October 6, 2023. It took around a month to reach that milestone. Then, as of October 18, 2023, Suika Game got another million downloads within twelve days. These statistics only count downloads from the Japanese eShop. Now that the game is available outside of Japan as well, Aladdin X may announce international sales figures in the future.
A new Halloween update will also allow you to make a pumpkin instead of a watermelon. The background and visuals will change as well. The update will feature a moonlit castle in the background and clouds that look like an evil ghost. The pear and the pineapple will have slightly different expressions, and you will make a pumpkin at the end rather than a watermelon. Different music will also play. The Halloween festival in Suika Game will run from October 28 to November 3, 2023.
Suika Game is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
