The third chapter of the Prelude Novel for Beyond the Dawn, the upcoming DLC for Tales of Arise, has been released by Bandai Namco and stars Alphen and Shionne. It involves the two saving a fellow traveler from a Zeugle attack and is titled "Two Who Want to Change."
The chapter is available to read on the Bandai Namco website or on Tales Channel+, where there is an option to include background music. This is the third and final chapter in the Tales of Arise DLC Prelude Novel and focuses on the last of the 6 party members, Shionne and Alphen.
The first chapter was called Two Who Remain the Same. It featured Rinwell and Law and was released on November 3, 2023. Kisara and Dohalim featured in the second chapter, titled Two Open to Change, as well as in a skit released back in October, 2023.
Ahead of the release of Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn, Bandai Namco also released a look at the pre-order costumes. It also paved the way for the add on by requesting that players follow certain streaming restrictions once the expansion is newly released.
Tales of Arise is currently available on the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, while Beyond the Dawn is set to release on November 9, 2023.

Fairy Tail manga artist Hiro Mashima is making his own video game. Mashima was the subject of a new episode of Season 3 in a YouTube series that follows the author taking on the challenge of game development. [Thanks, PR Times!]
In previous seasons, Mashima dipped his toes on learning about Unreal Engine 5 and 3D games development. Season 1 saw Mashima learning to create 3D environments and levels using the games engine, while Season 2 had the artist creating original 3D characters using computer graphics software Blender.
Kodansha released the first episode of Season 3 on the Kodansha Creators' Lab YouTube channel. In this new season, Mashima will start to wrap up development of his game. The video is only available with Japanese captions, and you can take a look at it here:
Hiro Mashima talked in the past about trying video game development as a hobby. The artist started development on an Edens Zero game using RPG Maker back in December 2021, titled Rebecca to Kikai no Yōkan. Mashima released the game for free on PC on March 16, 2022.
Hiro Mashima is the author of famous manga series such as Fairy Tail, Rave Master, Edens Zero, and most recently Dead Rock. He has also worked as character designer and illustrator in various games, and will help design the characters of the upcoming Project Magia.

Nintendo revealed the theme for the Splatoon 3 November 2023 Splatfest. North American and European players will decide their favorite greeting. Meanwhile, Japanese players will fight over which name they prefer for imagawa-yaki.
The Splatfest will take place in Splatoon 3 between November 17-19, 2023. In North America and Europe, players will battle it out over their favorite greeting. Do you prefer a handshake, fist bump or hug? As always, these teams are represented by different members of Deep Cut. Shiver is team handshake, Frye is team fist bump and Big Man, appropriately for his shape, is team hug.
In Japan, players will be asked if they prefer to call their bean paste deserts oban-yaki, Kaiten-yaki or imagawa-yaki. This marks the first regional Splatfest since Splatoon 2.
This will be the eleventh Splatfest in Splatoon 3. Most recently, there was a special Halloween event asking players if they'd prefer zombies, skeletons or ghosts as friends. Before this, an event celebrating the first anniversary of the game asked players to pick their favorite member of Deep Cut. Other Splatfests have been about ice cream flavors, elements of the Triforce, cryptids and Pokemon types, among others.
Splatoon 3 is out now for Nintendo Switch. The November 2023 Splatfest will take place on November 17-19, 2023.

Bandai Namco revealed the next three DLC masters heading to Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker with Season 7 are Boruto Uzumaki (Karma Progression), Gaara (Young Version), and Sasori. The season pass bonus this time around is the secret technique Amaterasu Dual Layer, while the upcoming extra ninjutsu will be the Magnet Style: Gold Dust Great Burial.
The new character Boruto Uzumaki (Karma Progression) will be released on November 10, 2023. To unlock some of his techniques and items, you will need to purchase his DLC pack. These unlocks include the Flash Slice (Ranged) and Vanishing Rasengan: Full Moon (Ranged), while his secret technique is Karma Awakening (Ranged). The pack also includes 2 unlockable costumes and 2 hair styles, as well as the title "Vessel of Momoshiki".
Players can also unlock the Boruto (Karma Progression) DLC by purchasing the season pass, which will also include the DLC for Gaara (Young Version) and Sasori when they release in 2024. You can get a better look at everything included in the season in the trailer below:
Bandai Namco also recently announced an ultimate edition for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, as well as an intention to crack down on cheaters and account-sellers.
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, with the Boruto Uzumaki (Karma Progression) DLC set to become available on November 10, 2023 as part of Season 7. Gaara (Young Version) and Sasori are scheduled for a 2024 release.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will feature a card game, according to Rabbit & Bear Studios. The developers revealed details about the new minigame in the October 2023 Kickstarter update.
In a post from Director Osamu Komuta, he noted the card game will involve players trying to defend three positions on a board using a hand of cards. Each of the three positions has a place to play a card, and the strength of each position will be decided by the sum of the three cards' score values.
Some cards will also feature additional abilities that will affect the scores of each player. The Hildy card adds a +3 bonus to strength when it's played, for example. Other cards will apply bonuses depending on color combinations, while others can take points away from your opponent.
Elements of deck building will also be part of the minigame. Players will be able to buy card packs from in-game stores and customize their decks to improve their tactics. It's not clear if cards will be unlocked through specific in-game quests.
The card game is not the first minigame revealed to be part of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. During a gameplay demonstration at Tokyo Game Show 2023, the developers also showed off a fishing minigame.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is set to release on April 23, 2024. It will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

The Walmart Black Friday 2023 Deals site is now live online, with video games and other items on sale. Items will be available physically in stores starting on November 10, 2023 local time. As a reminder, this is separate from the Black Friday sale beginning November 22, 2023 and Cyber Monday one on November 26, 2023.
The first thing that comes up on the main page for the section involves console sales on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Here's the full list of the bundles available online, as well as their prices.
A few peripherals were also marked as discounted. For example, there is a PS5 Starlight Blue DualSense is showing up for $49 and a Pulse Red Xbox wireless controller marked at $49.99.

While a Switch successor is planned, President Furukawa didn't give any information during the latest press conference held on November 7, 2023. Furukawa mentioned that recent online rumors about a successor are inaccurate. The rumors of a successor refer to recent reports regarding Nintendo showing a Switch successor console at various closed doors presentations during Gamescom 2023, held between August 23-27, 2023.
The latest Nintendo financial report for the current fiscal year ending in March 2024 showed an increase in the sales of hardware and software, with titles like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reaching 19.5 million units shipped worldwide. The current focus of the company is on continuing to consolidate sales of the Nintendo Switch system throughout the Holiday 2023 season.
Future Nintendo titles planned to appear throughout 2024 include Princess Peach: Showtime! , a Switch remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, a new Mario vs. Donkey Kong title, and an HD port of Luigi's Mansion 2. Dark, heart-wrenching, horrific events can result in people coming together or maybe finding solace in another person. Virche Evermore -Error: Salvation-, the latest Aksys Switch otome, feels like it can rely on trauma bonding to ensure both the characters and the person playing the game connect. However, this does definitely limit its audience and appeal.
Like past Idea Factory Otomate title Code: Realize, Virche Evermore stars a heroine who is a hazard to those around her. The whole island where Ceres lives is cursed. Anyone born there dies at 23, which means people have developed technologies that allow their consciousnesses to transfer to new bodies and existences before the effects of the curse begin to appear. However, anyone who spends time in the presence of Ceres will begin to display the symptoms of that curse early and could even die. Not to mention years ago, the orphanage where she lived experienced a massive fire, with her being the only survivor. When another explosion rocks the current orphanage where she lives and nearly drives Ceres to suicide, she meets "Death." Because of this encounter, she gets an opportunity to finally be normal and loved, provided she find out exactly what's happening at Arpechele.
Simply put, Virche Evermore is a game steeped in despair. Ceres' self esteem is low and she's incredibly depressed, which is understandable. People despise her. The whole community is quite flawed, due to the system in place to mitigate the death from the curse at 23. We see firsthand in routes for characters like Scien, Lucas, and Mathis how devastating this is for people who are extending their lives or trying to find away around dying. Everyone is suffering in some way, to some degree, and the world around them is incredibly cruel. Otomate didn't hold back when it came to the sorts of situations people are in, and people should know going in that there's bullying, death, despair, murder, suicide, and countless other gory, graphic, and unsettling situations. People aren't coming out of this unscathed. If I wasn't playing this for work, I not only think I wouldn't have played past getting a good end for Scien or Yves' route, I may not have even played long enough to get the happy ending for either of them.
This is because you are forced to bear witness to all of the unpleasantness. The structure of Virche Evermore is such that you can't get any "happy" endings until you've cleared the bad endings for Lucas, Mathis, Scien, and Yves. And they are depressing and bad. It was so demoralizing to have to go through all these situations. So much so that after I did it, I first needed to take a break from the game completely. Then, I really had to push through to go through the final act and start earning the good endings. (To be honest, I didn't even find some of them really satisfying, which made it even more brutal for me.)
Which is a shame, because there are some elements here that are really well constructed and great! I loved the general worldbuilding in Virche Evermore. Finding out the truth behind the curse and what's going on was more satisfying than some of the good endings. And that ambiance extended to the environmental and character design. It's great at establishing a vibe, and I appreciated the "ah ha" moment once things started to unravel.
I also appreciated that the characters in Virche Evermore are flawed individuals. With someone like Lucas or Scien, it's very obvious. But even with a more heroic character like Yves, you can see it. Not to mention Ceres herself is suffering from depression and dealing with so much. But of course, everyone also does have their finer moments too. It makes it easier to appreciate them for who they are, because they come across as more realistic and understandable.
After going through a few Virche Evermore -Error: Salvation- routes, I feel like this is a Switch otome that could appeal to those who enjoyed games like Code: Realize or Piofiore and want something even more mature. It's a darker and more visceral tale where it feels difficult to earn that happy ending. However, it is incredibly graphic and violent, which could turn some people looking for love off. What is here is intriguing, but it is a lot and not for everyone. Especially since the good endings are so walled off.

The latest Sanrio character plush to appear at Build-a-Bear is the golden retriever Pompompurin, along with his friend Muffin. This version of Pompompurin is available now in North America, with UK availability promised soon.
The Pompompurin plush comes with the Build-a-Bear stamp on his right paw and is available on its own or with a sleeper and slippers and a mini Muffin companion. The sleeper and slippers are patterned with pictures of Pompompurin himself and are also available separately. They are priced as follows:

Previous characters to join Build-a-Bear collections include the Pokemon Mudkip, Sprigatito and Sobble as well as fellow Sanrio characters Kuromi and Baku Buddy. Pompompurin starred alongside Cinnamoroll in a Granblue Fantasy event back in April of this year, and a Pompompurin-themed knight also appeared in Sanrio's Fragaria Memories.

Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 Tactica will have friendly fire on difficulties higher than Hard. A new Famitsu interview with the developers shed more details on various gameplay mechanic, such as friendly fire. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]
Persona 5 Tactica Director Naoya Maeda confirmed that friendly fire initially happened in Normal difficulty as well. While testing the game, the developers considered the mechanic too hard, and changed it so as to only appear on Hard and Merciless. Maeda also said that the Hard and Merciless difficulties could be considered similar to the infamous default difficulties of Atlus games of the past.
Additionally, leaker ryokutya2089 shared more information about Akechi and Kasumi in the Repaint Your Heart day one DLC. Akechi has a skill that will allow a character who has finished their turn to act again, while Kasumi will have an ability that grants her infinite movement range for one turn.
Kasumi's special ability appeared in a recent Nyahoo! News video shared by Atlus. Additionally, Atlus originally revealed that friendly fire in AOE attacks would be a feature of higher difficulties in P5T in September 19, 2023.
Persona 5 Tactica will come out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on November 17, 2023. The Repaint Your Heart DLC will be available on release, and will feature Goro Akechi and Kasumi Yoshizawa as playable characters.

Square Enix is celebrating the Harvestella first anniversary by showing art of its characters. Nine design documents for the players' allies and Cres appeared, as well as group art of all cast members.
Things started on November 3, 2023. That's when art showing the two versions of the protagonist, Aria, Asyl, Brakka, Dianthus, Emo, Heine, Istina, and Shrika showed up. That also confirmed that as part of this occasion, new images would appear until November 10, 2023.
After that, the first three images showed off Cres, Asyl, and Istina. Cres is the one of the first people you meet in the game, as she's a doctor in Lethe who helps the player out and get settled. Both Asyl and Istina are eventual party members you meet when getting to Nemea, the first town.
The second batch of art focused on the Harvestella characters Aria, Meine, and Emo. Aria is, like the player, a newcomer to the world. She arrives in Lethe at about the same time, and the two end up living and journeying together. Both Heine and Emo are party members you meet after reaching Shatolla.
The most recent batch focused on characters you meet later on. Shrika, Brakka, and Dianthus are eventual party members. However, Dianthus does end up appearing earlier in the game and assisting the player before eventually joining up.
Harvestella is available on the Nintendo Switch and PC.
