Bandai Namco's Tamashii Nations has announced that the next figure in its SH MonsterArts line is the Red-Eyes Black Dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh. There is no date for pre-orders or release, though Tamashii Nations plans to release more details at Jump Festa 2024, to be held in December of this year.
While not as iconic as the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, the Red-Eyes Black Dragon will be familiar to fans of the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime as the trump card of Joey Wheeler/Katsuya Jonouchi. Details for the SH MonsterArts model are scarce, but from the promo photos, it is likely that some parts, like the neck and arms, may be articulated.

Other Yu-Gi-Oh figures announced recently include a Nendoroid of Jaden Yuki from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and several new statues from Megahobby, including the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Tamashii Nations has recently scheduled pre-orders for its Tales of Arise Figuarts Mini Figures and revealed new versions of the SH Figuarts Ryu and Chun Li figures.
There is currently no release date for the SH MonsterArts Yu-Gi-Oh Red-Eyes Black Dragon. More details are expected to be released at Jump Festa 2024 which will begin on December 16, 2023.

For a limited time, 7-11 in Japan will offer a Christmas cake that looks like Cinnamoroll. The confectionery cost 3996 JPY ($26.51) and will come with a little piece of cloth.
The Cinnamoroll cake looks like the mascot character but with a Santa hat on his head. As for the cake itself, it uses strawberry cream and crumbled almond biscuits on the inside, and there's a milk chocolate coating on the outside. Aside from the aforementioned piece of cloth that you can use in your daily life (like a handkerchief), it also comes in a special, exclusive box.
While the Cinnamoroll Christmas cake is not available in 7-11 stores just yet, you can pre-order it either from the stores directly or via the online service, 7-Meal. The Sanrio website does not mention when you'll be able to expect the Cinnamoroll cake to appear in stores.
Though Hello Kitty is the mascot for Sanrio, Cinnamoroll has been an extremely popular character as well. He beat Hello Kitty in multiple popularity polls, as well as served as the motif for some recent pieces of jewelry, such as this Seiko watch. Cinnamoroll is a chubby dog who lives in a cloud, and his name comes from his curly tail, which looks like a cinnamon roll.
7-11 in Japan will offer an exclusive Cinnamoroll Christmas cake for a limited time. It'll likely appear in stores closer to December 2023.

A physical Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition is heading to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in Q1 2024. It will include a number of digital and physical bonuses, among them a map of the world in Baldur's Gate 3 and a CD soundtrack.
The limited edition will appear sometime in the first few months of 2024. The expected price is €79.99/£79.99. The PS5 and Xbox Series X version of the Baldur's Gate 3 physical edition will include the game on discs. The PS5 one will take two, while the Xbox version is three. The PC version includes a Steam key and DVD with installer.
There are five kinds of physical items in this edition. For example, you get a 600x180mm Baldur's Gate 3 world map and 570x690mm Mind Flayer poster. There are also two patches with imagery from the game, as well as 32 stickers with icons, characters, and logos. There is also a physical copy of the soundtrack, and that is three CDs long.
This version also includes the following digital in-game items that are already available, as well as a digital copy of the art book, character sheets, and soundtrack.
Baldur's Gate 3 is available digitally for the PS5 and PC. The release date for the Xbox Series X version will fall in December 2023 and be announced at The Game Awards 2023. The Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition will appear as a retail copy in Q1 2024.

Sega may be looking to take franchises such as Persona or Yakuza into other media such as movies. This was revealed in a CNBC interview with the company's COO Shuji Utsumi, as he discussed the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. [Thanks, CNBC!]
During the interview, Utsumi talked about how Sega "revived" Sonic the Hedgehog through multiple new avenues, referencing movies and TV shows, along with collaborations with Roblox and Lego. He stated that this strategy could be applied to their other biggest franchises, Persona and Yakuza, suggesting that movies could be on the cards.
It's not surprising that Sega would be interested in taking IPs such as Yakuza or Persona into movie adaptations, after the success of the Sonic movies. Of course, both franchises have been adapted into other mediums in the past. Both Persona 4 and Persona 5 have been adapted into anime and manga, while Yakuza gained a movie adaptation in 2007, directed by Takashi Miike. It's unclear what form any new adaptations might take.
Elsewhere in the interview, Utsumi discussed some of Sega's other strategies. With their purchase of Angry Birds developer Rovio, he hinted at a greater push towards the mobile space. He also hinted at Sega's willingness to revive other classic IPs, although he didn't name anything specific. He also stated that despite a few offers, Sega is not currently interested in being acquired by companies such as Microsoft any time soon.

Square Enix has opened up pre-orders for jigsaw puzzles that, when put together, will form a picture from a Final Fantasy VII spin-off. Each puzzle costs 3850 JPY ($25.55) and will come out on February 10, 2024.
As a note, these Final Fantasy VII puzzles are not available from the North American Square Enix online store as of the time of writing. While the North American store does offer 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, they're of other games or the mainline Final Fantasy series.
The first jigsaw puzzle is based on Advent Children, which was an animated film that came out in 2005. This puzzle resembles the Japanese theatrical release poster, which shows Tifa posing on a stained glass window while flower petals surround her. The poster itself uses the scene from Tifa's fight against Loz in Aerith's church.
The second puzzle uses a key visual of Crisis Core, which Nomura drew. Finally, the third puzzle is from Dirge of Cerberus and shows Vincent posing before a full moon. Dirge of Cerberus was a 2006 third-person shooter RPG that focused on Vincent.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available worldwide on PS4, PS5, and Windows PC. The sequel, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, will be released on February 29, 2024, on the PS5.

Bandai Spirits will put a Robot Spirits <Side AC> action figure of Ayre's IB-07: Sol 644 from Armored Core 6 on display at Tamashii Nation 2023. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
Robot Spirits is a line of action figures featuring units from various mecha titles. Unlike plastic model kits that require the owner to build the units from scratch, these figures will come with the main unit body already assembled. It will be similar to Kotobukiya's Decoction Models action figure released in June 2023. But while Kotobukiya priced its action figure at a whopping 52,800 yen, Bandai Spirits has been selling most of its figures for less than 20,000 yen.
Ayre's IB-07: Sol 664 will be the first unit from Armored Core 6 to have its merchandise revealed. Kotobukiya and Bandai Spirits have also confirmed plans to produce model kits from the series' latest entry available on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. While Kotobukiya has not announced a release window for its kits, Bandai Spirits will start rolling out its kits in 2024.
The Robot Spirits <Side AC> action figure of Ayre's IB-07: Sol 644 from Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will be available for display at Tamashii Nation 2023. The event will take place in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan on November 17-19, 2023. Bandai Spirits has still yet to announce the action figure's pre-order and release windows.

Back at All Aksys Fall 2022, the company announced it would release the Switch otome Tengoku Struggle: Strayside in 2024. Now it finally pinned down the window to Spring 2024 and offered more details about the visual novel.
The announcement offered a refresher on the game. The heroine here is Rin, a Hell Guardian who is also the "princess" of Hell due to being King Enma's daughter. In this world, Asakusa is no longer a normal human city. It's a tourist trap where humans and dead from Heaven and Hell can all get together. The game begins when Heaven's Spider's Thread drops to Hell, folks from Hell escape into Asakusa, and someone named Shinobikuni is trying to offer sinners forgiveness for instant access to Heaven. Rin needs to go to Asakusa to deal with the prisoners and rectify the situation. As this is a romantic comedy Switch otome, it means there's love and the whole prison escape situation is handled in a silly manner.
There's also a new trailer to go along with this confirmation. It offers more details and a bit of the theme song.
Aksys also confirmed that it will directly sell a special edition of the game. Should someone buy that, they will get a physical copy of the soundtrack.
Tengoku Struggle: Strayside will come to the Nintendo Switch outside Japan in Spring 2024. The game appeared on the system in Japan back in July 2022.

Throughout theFontaine storyline, Furina seemed a fascinating figure not only due to being the Hydro Archon, but due to her personality. Now that the "Masquerade of the Guilty" Genshin Impact Archon Quests appeared, it is clear that Furina may be the most compelling Archon in the game, as well as one of the best characters HoYoVerse created.
Editor's Note: There will be spoilers for the Fontaine storyline and Furina in Genshin Impact below.
As a refresher, when we're introduced to Furina in Fontaine, the Hydro Archon came across as haughty and dramatic. She might have even been considered a bit of a brat. There was an arrogance that set her apart from the friendly Venti, the dignified Zhongli, the detached Raiden Shogun, and the warm Nahida. She seemed like, well, a typical god. Someone who considered her above ordinary humans and perhaps a bit self serving.
It's only as the fifth act begins that we realize it's a performance and persona maintained throughout the first four acts of the chapter four Archon Quests. We're constantly see her playing the part. She's doing her job as an Archon, of course. We're seeing her brand of justice. She seems appropriately concerned about the prophecy facing Fontaine and threatening to raise the waters and raze its people. But there's a detachment there. I even felt like maybe she seemed to be purposely pushing people away or putting them on edge after the initial encounters.
But it's because of this side of her that we get to witness how fascinating and strong she is. Furina kept up her performance for 500 years. Even when the end approached and the trial she'd been waiting for was being prepared and started, she was keeping her guard up. When Neuvillette started to pick at her affairs and investigations, she didn't unravel. It's only when the Traveler came to Fontaine, the time Focalors needed came up, and that trial with everyone began that the truth was exposed. Not to mention when she was going through that, the people she was connected to and relied upon did all turn against her, but she didn't immediately crumble and falter.
This meant once we got to "The Opera of Noirceur and Blancheur," it was especially heartbreaking and we really got to understand Furina for the first time in Genshin Impact. After Focalors explained how she divided herself up into her divine part and the human Furina, we saw how Furina took on the challenge of playing this incredibly lonely, trapped, suffering role willingly for 500 years. She even said herself, "If there were scales, with all the people of Fontaine on one side, and my pain on the other... Is it not obvious where the scales should tilt?" We watched as she had to develop her persona and become the flippant and arrogant Archon people expected. How she still snuck in moments of kindness, such as visiting Deoteria to check on her son and pushing for hydrological research.
In these sections we also see how she needs to push herself. Going one more day. Constantly wondering if people see through her mask. Especially when we see she's reached "scene 182376" by the time the Traveler comes to Fontaine. To hit these moments and realize the person who seemed like she could have been careless perhaps cared more than anyone and was breaking down daily when trying to stay strong was an exceptional moment.
This woman who seemed so put together, so sure of herself, all the while wasn't. But instead of giving in or letting any of that show, she pushed onward. Knowing the stakes of the situation, she allowed herself to continue to suffer and endear unimaginable mental pain, because she considered it the right thing to do for the people and the country. Considering the approach of other Archons throughout the story, I feel HoYoVerse really did offer an unexpected and touching approach. Especially if we recall what the situation with Makoto and Ei in Inazuma, which was another two Archon situation.
Which makes the "Finale" of the "Masquerade of the Guilty" even more satisfying. Focalors, with the help of Furina's hard work, Neuvillette, and the Traveler, saves Fontaine! All is well! But more importantly, Furina gets to rest. For the first time in all of these Archon Quests, she doesn't have to be on-screen playing a part. She got to leave and move out of the lonely opera house that acted as her cage. Neuvillette is taking care of her needs, so she finally has the freedom she was denied, and is stepping up as the Hydro Sovereign going forward.
Furina gets to be herself, and that could mean the Hydro Archon could prove to be even more interesting going forward since she's no longer tied to that role in Genshin Impact. She could go anywhere and do anything now that her life is her own. HoYoVerse created a fascinating character who is now full of potential, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The Furina banner runs in-game until November 28, 2023.

The official Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account gave us a sneak peek at some of the concept art for Professor Hojo, an antagonist from the game. Additionally, the post details his apathetic attitude towards Aerith during their conversation.
As Professor Hojo's personal goals stray from the core of Shinra's ideology, his lab attire does not boast any badges or uniform other than a name tag for the sake of identification. It is a practical outfit; he wears only what he needs to when properly conducting experiments. Furthermore, he keeps his hair tied back so as to not distract from his work. He also wears small, round glasses that he can be seen adjusting in his character artwork.
Professor Hojo's side profile and front view are pictured. Both a lineart version of the outfit as well as a full color version are shown in the post. The concept art of Hojo is credited to the character designers Tetsuya Nomura and Roberto Ferrari. A voice recording script for Aerith and Hojo's conversation is also included.

Kotobukiya confirmed that it will restock its Nineball Seraph Armored Core model kit. Originally released in the 2000s, the kit modeled after the famous boss will be available again in May 2024.
The 1/72 scale model kit will stand at around 210mm (~8.27 inches) tall when completed. The owner will also be able to transform the unit to its flight mode.
The model kit will be available at 9,240 yen (~$61.45). People residing outside Japan can also place orders on Japanese web stores that support international shipping, such as AmiAmi, Hobby Search, and Hobby Link Japan.
Nineball Seraph is an enhanced version of Nine-Ball, one of the most famous boss enemies in the Armored Core series. It originally appeared in the 1999 PlayStation entry Armored Core: Master of Arena. The Nineball Seraph also appeared as an extra boss in the 2001 PS2 game Armored Core 2: Another Age and the 2010 PS3 crossover title Another Century's Episode: R.
Kotobukiya has been gradually restocking its Armored Core model kits. In October 2023, it announced the restocks for Armored Core: For Answer's BFF 063AN Ambient and CR-HOGIRE Noblesse Oblige.
New stocks for the Armored Core Variable Infinity model kit of the Nineball Seraph will be available in May 2024.

Target released its Black Friday video games sales ad preview on its site for 2023. Many video games and accessories will be available at stores and online from November 19-25, 2023.
By way of console sales, Target will have many available and include an added bonus of free gift cards. The Xbox Series X will be available at $50 less than its usual price during the promotion, costing $449.99. You can also snag the Diablo IV bundle for the same price. That will save you $110. As an added bonus, you will receive a $75 Target gift card when purchasing either of those. If you're looking for an Xbox Series S Holiday Starter Bundle, it will be on sale for $249.99.
The Meta Quest 2: Advanced All-in-One Virtual Reality 128GB Headset will also be available for $249.99, which is $50 less than its regular price. Plus, you'll receive a free $50 Target gift card when you make the purchase.
Additionally, a new Nintendo Switch Lite Isabelle's Aloha Edition with Animal Crossing New Horizons included will be available exclusively at Target. That'll cost $199.99.
As for other gaming-adjacent sales, Target will offer 10% off select gaming gift cards, excluding Fortnite V-bucks.
