December 4, 2023: We searched for new Pet Simulator 99 codes to add to our list.

What are the new Pet Simulator 99 codes? If you're extremely lucky (and timely), getting a bunch of free gems in Big Games' latest pet collecting game can be as easy as typing a few letters into a box. As time goes on, though, we expect PS99 codes to become increasingly rare, perhaps even being tied solely to physical merch like plushies, lucky bags, and playsets. We've seen it happen before.

Pet Simulator 99 is the third Pet Simulator Roblox game Preston and his team have put out. Though it isn't out to replace Pet Simulator X codes directly, it will be the one getting the big updates from now on. If leaving your old collection behind doesn't sound fun to you, consider checking out Blade Ball codes or Blox Fruits codes instead.

So far, we've had a cryptic teaser trailer about Dreadwolf, suggestions of potential multiplayer, and heaps of clues to its story courtesy of various interviews and tweets with developers and writers who have worked on previous Dragon Age games. BioWare has also teased more about the eponymous Dread Wolf's part to play: "Solas, the Dread Wolf. Some say he might be an ancient elven god, but some say not. Others say a betrayer of his people…or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the cost of your world."

The Meta Quest 3 is now the fifth most popular VR headset among Steam users, November's Hardware Survey has revealed. This might not seem noteworthy at first, but with the recent news of a native Steam Link app, and the headset only being two months old, it's quite the achievement for Meta's latest VR venture.

I've been keeping a keen eye on the Meta Quest 3 given its vast improvements over the previous model, and the latest Steam findings come as no surprise to me. Jumping up to now own a 5.20% share of the hardware userbase - a 5.05% increase on October - I fully expect the Quest 3 to eventually overtake the Quest 2, which currently leads the way with 40.45%, but it might take at least another year.

What are the Valorant crosshair codes? Crosshairs in the Riot Games FPS are more complex and customizable than ever, thanks to a recent update. With a complex-looking string of numbers, letters, and symbols, you can change your in-game sights to match players from your favorite esports teams such as DRX, Fnatic, or The Guard, or make your own entirely.

Many of the best PC games with pro teams like to come up with ways for FPS game players to show allegiance to their favorite players. For example, Rainbow Six Siege has charms and Valorant has gun buddies. Custom crosshairs take things to another level though, and can even help you achieve a similar level of accuracy as the pros, too. Different colors or sizes can make your crosshair stand out more, potentially affecting your accuracy. We've collected Valorant crosshair codes for all of the big teams in one place, so you don't have to go hunting around too much to equip your favorite Valorant characters with your chosen sight. Releasing in early access to critical acclaim back in 2022, Against the Storm is sending off 2023 with its big 1.0 release, signalling a complete state for the rougelike city building experience that takes a refreshingly retro approach to the genre mashup. What is the best ZZZ Ben build? Ben Bigger is a brawny bear who works for Belobog Industries, but can also be a brilliant buddy in a brawl. OK, I can't keep going with the alliteration, but we can't resist a little bit - we are talking about Zenless Zone Zero, after all.

Wordplay aside, according to Zenless Zone Zero lore, Ben is an accountant by trade, but this smart bear also wields some serious power when it comes to taking on foes in the anime game - particularly Belobog competition. Packing a punch with both Physical and Fire damage, this gigantic ZZZ character is most proficient in HP and defense, so we've built the best Zenless Zone Zero Ben build around those stats.

What is the best ZZZ Anby build? As you're putting together the best Zenless Zone Zero build, you should consider every character in your arsenal. As a gacha game though, ZZZ can sometimes limit your choices. Luckily, those characters you unlock through the early story mode can be some of the best - with the right build.

As one of the Cunning Hares, Anby is one of the first ZZZ characters you unlock in the anime game. The skilled fighter offers a perfect contrast to her Zenless Zone Zero teammates with her monotonous and often robotic way of speaking, but her personality shines as she regularly quotes movies to narrate her current situation. As for her fighting though, Anby is an Electric Anomaly user, able to stun enemies with her special skills, and this is the best ZZZ Anby build to capitalize on that.

Once in a while I have to figure out how to recommend a game I know I'm never going to touch again. Orten Was The Case is an adventure game, which triggers a reflexive "ugh", and it's a big elaborate puzzle, which I have limited patience for, and it's a time-loop game, making it a cool and well-realised concept that happens to be a poor fit for my scattered brain. I'm in a weird place with the Meta Quest. It's really its own platform these days, with its own specs and increasingly divergent library of games. At the same time, the Meta's standalone headsets are by far the most popular PCVR devices. Therefore, most PCVR gamers will also have access to the Quest's handful of VR exclusives. Generally, this column sticks to covering games you can play with any PCVR headset, Quest or no. But since I reviewed the Meta Quest 3 last month, it feels odd not to check out at least one of its new titles, especially when it's probably the most notable VR release of the year – Assassin's Creed Nexus.

Also, I'll admit, a VR Assassin's Creed game intrigues me. The idea of cavorting across historical rooftops and shanking templars in the sternum sounds brilliant. It also sounds like barf city. Most VR games limit the need to move around as much as possible, so translating a game as kinetic as Assassin's Creed into VR seems mighty challenging.

La Corda d'Oro Starlight Orchestra shutting down

Koei Tecmo and Ruby Party will end online services for La Corda d'Oro: Starlight Orchestra on March 29, 2024. The mobile game ran for about three years following a launch in February 2021. There will be no celebrations for the outgoing game's third anniversary in February 2024, as Ruby Party will focus on releasing the final event and character story chapters.

Shortly after shutting down the online-exclusive game, Ruby Party will release an offline archive version that existing players can download to review stories and cards that they have unlocked. Koei Tecmo will also process refunds for unused paid jewels from March 30, 2024, to June 30, 2024. However, it will first change the jewel usage behavior to prioritize paid jewels over free jewels after disabling in-app purchases on February 28, 2024.

The shutdown announcement came not long after Ruby Party celebrated the La Corda d'Oro series' 20th anniversary in September 2023. During the anniversary month, it announced a collaboration cafe and numerous merchandise, but it did not reveal any new games. The studio even listed Starlight Orchestra in the mainline chronology on the anniversary webpage. La Corda d'Oro Octave, the series' latest console entry released for PS4, Switch, and PC in 2019, was not included in this chronology.

La Corda d'Oro: Starlight Orchestra is available on iOS and Android mobile devices in Japan until March 29, 2024.

HoYoVerse went over the equipment and allies people will encounter in Zenless Zone Zero, detailing how the Bangboo, Eous, Drive Discs, and W-Engines will work. All of them help players while in a Hollow.

The Drive Discs and W-Engines are the equipment Zenless Zone Zero players will use in the game. The W-Engine affects Base Attack, an Advanced Stat, and applies a W-Engine Effect. So for example the Starlight Engine shown by the company increases the Base Attack, has an Attack percentage increase as the Advanced Stat, and has the Knight Pummel W-Engine Effect that increases ATK by 24% briefly after someone starts a Chain Attack. W-Engines can be found via Proxy Primers and at the Box Galaxy Shop. To buy one, you need W-Engine Chips, Modification Materials, and Dennies. You can also combine the same kind of W-Engine to increase its Effect. Think of it as being like a Genshin Impact weapon

The Drive Discs seem akin to Genshin Impact Artifacts and Honkai: Star Rail Relics. You can equip six at once. Each one improves one Base Stat and up to four Random Stats. Having two or four from the same set equipped nets you special set effects. So having two Woodpecker Electro pieces would increase a character's critical hit rate by 8%, and making sure four were there would net a 16% critical damage increase for a limited time if the character gets a critical hit with a basic attack, dodge counter, or EX special attack. These have different ratings, which determine upgrade level caps.

As for the Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo and Eous, these help with exploration and fighting. The Eous uses Bangboo Chips in various slots to make Sets to help when going through a Hollow. You can modify them after the "No Guts No Glory" mission. The Bangboo offers combat and passive battle skills. You can't modify them with Chips like an Eous, as each one is predetermined to work with certain combat styles. However, you can level them up or use Logic Cores from duplicates to improve their skills.

Zenless Zone Zero is in development for PCs, mobile devices, and unspecified consoles. A closed beta is on now.

Stern Pinball Seth Davis

In 2023, Stern Pinball moved to a new location in Illinois, worked on tables based on Godzilla, Foo Fighters, and Venom, and launched its Insider Connected app to bring players together. To learn more about the company and its plans, Siliconera spoke with CEO Seth Davis about the company and its latest moves.

Jenni Lada: When did you first start here with Stern?

Seth Davis: I've been here for a little over two years. So, couple years ago I I joined and it's been a lot of fun.

What made you decide you wanted to join?

Davis: Stern makes the best pinball machines in the world. I've always been a big gamer. I came from Disney most recently, where I had worked on video games and all that. I'd grown up in an 80s arcade, like a lot of people my age, and, went between video games and pinball machines and all of that. So, having the opportunity to join a company that makes the best products in the world at what they do is just a really unique opportunity. So I moved out to Chicago and joined up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sH7wCBblMoM&ab_channel=SternPinball

About how many tables have you made this year, and which one do you think has been the most successful so far?

Davis: So, we've released a couple of new tables this year and we have our cornerstones. So those are our big new releases. We released our Venom table most recently this year. And then earlier this year, we did Foo Fighters as well.

So both have been really well received. Appealed to a bit of different audiences. I would say at this point, in terms of what went better selling, Foo Fighters has had longer to sell, so it's the better seller of the two right at the moment. But you know, both of them, we expect to have long lives ahead of them.

And then we've done some special editions of other titles as well. We've released a new version of Jurassic Park, a new version of Elvira. We've had a lot of fun with those.

So with the Godzilla pinball table that we saw out there today, what did the process of getting the arrangements to create it look like? About how long did it take to put together and what kind of inspirations were used to determine which Kaiju would appear on it and determine how it would look like when it would come to market?

Davis: We spend a lot of time listening to the community and talking amongst ourselves about what would make great pinball machines. In order to have licensed pinball machines, there's also a relationship with the company that owns the license and owns those properties. So it's a little bit of a dance around all of that. We come up with what we would like, we work with licensers to see who's interested. Who wants a pinball machine. Who's really excited, Sometimes licensers will approach us as well.

In this case, a lot of our, our folks were really excited about the opportunity to work with Godzilla, a really well-known character works great for pinball. It was something we were really excited about, and the folks at Toho, who owns the license to that, were excited as well to put that together.

Typically we'll secure our licenses two to three years before we make a product, it takes about a year and a half, a little bit longer to make a game. So you wanna have your relationship in place before you start spending the time making the game. So it takes about a year and a half to develop most of our games and get them to the point where we can finally produce them at the end of that. So that's usually two or three years from sort of initial concept to ok, now it's come to life.

Now with this Godzilla pinball table, since this is a cabinet that I imagine be very popular overseas as well as in the United States and Europe, does that affect the distribution and licensing and the creative process? And how does that change compared to a more domestic table like say the Stranger Things table?

Davis: All of our products at Stern are global. We actually send a lot of our volume internationally. We have a big market in Europe, Australia, and in other markets as well. You know, Latin America and places like that. A meaningful portion of our volume goes internationally, so we are actually looking always for licenses that can carry internationally.

Luckily, even with Stranger Things, Netflix is sort of everywhere. That IP is carried even internationally. Some always do better internationally than others, but we're always looking for titles that do well, internationally, because otherwise it doesn't make as much sense for us to do a title that only works in one market or another. We're really looking for the, the best global opportunities for those titles.

Would you say that your background with Disney and other companies has made it a little bit easier to understand how to approach certain tables or work out certain IPs like, say, with the Guardians of the Galaxy table?

Davis: So Stern is, as I said before, a very unique company, and one of the reasons why I came here was because they needed someone who was comfortable with large entertainment licenses, gaming, as well as manufacturing.

And you know, you can find manufacturing people, you can find entertainment and gaming people. It's hard to find people that have experience in manufacturing, entertainment, and gaming. And those are all things that I like to do. So that was a big opportunity to be here.

It's definitely been really helpful that I have experience with the entertainment companies and what they're looking for, in order to be able to secure the deals to get these IP and to be able to do what we need to do here, it's definitely part of part of doing the job and getting the job done.

When you're doing a virtual adaptation of your pinball tables, say with other companies when they're developing their pinball titles, what does the process look like for you and how involved is Stern with that?

Davis: So we've historically done, mostly before I was here, some amount of having our, our tables adapted for digital. We found the experience in most of those to not be to the standards that the company aspires to and hopes for. So we paused a little bit on that. It doesn't mean we won't ever get back to it or wouldn't be interested in doing it, but we wanna make sure when we do it, it's what people are looking for.

But as you allude to the rights in the digital space are a little bit different than the rights in the physical space. Once you get into the licensing world, there's a lot of dos and don'ts about what you are allowed to do and what you're not allowed to do with all that.

This is a new building for Stern that just moved into in September 2023. What do you plan to do in terms of like outreach and allowing the community to come in and take a look around? Like I had heard mention about having tours and the game room.

Davis: We're, we're working on our game room and arcade space and putting that together so that people can have a fun time when they're here and get to play a number of the games. We're still sort of building that out.

We're also doing some work on the outside of the building. The outside will look a little bit more fun as well.

It's our intention to start having real tours and really put that together. We've historically always done some amount of tours for people, when they call and ask. A lot of that obviously subsided during the pandemic era, but we're eager to bring that all back and welcome people in. Pinball Expo, where we welcomed 600 people in, was the first example of doing that.

I think probably going into next year, we'll probably have something put together where people can come visit us and see how pinball's made, because no matter how many times you give the tour or go on the tour, it's just a lot of fun.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cm_wd8Ey65I&ab_channel=SternPinball

What kind of things would you like to expand on and do in the future with Stern and its pinball tables?

Davis: So the big things with Stern that we're focused on right now is Insider Connected. So Insider Connected is our digital offering. It's kind of our opportunity to offer some continuity between gameplay and help wrap some community around all of that.

People naturally wrap community around pinball. They go to tournaments. They play together in groups. They talk about it and all that. We now have the opportunity to offer them ways to expand and extend that experience with Insider Connected. See how their friends are doing. Compete on leader boards. Track their scores. Find where new pinball machines are located near them so they can go check them out and play them. We expect to continue to extend that.

Stern Pinball's latest and upcoming tables include Godzilla, Foo Fighters and Venom.
