Bushiroad and Eighting revealed the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact fighting game. As of the time of writing, there is no official release date nor target platforms.
The new Hunter x Hunter fighting game seems to be a 3v3 team-based anime fighter. However, the teaser doesn't show any gameplay. The developers have yet to confirm whether the game is a 2D fighting game, or a 3D arena fighter.
The six characters that are featured in the teaser are Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Leorio, Hisoka, and chairman Netero. Additionally, Bushiroad revealed that the game's official website and X (formerly Twitter) account are now open. Both are available only in Japanese, and more information will appear in the future.

During the teaser, the characters are seen walking towards one of the Heaven's Arena stages, with Gon and Killua discussing sparring against each other in team battles. The trailer seemed to indicate that Megumi Han and Mariya Ise will reprise their roles as Gon and Killua respectively. Both actors played the characters in Madhouse's 2011 anime adaptation of Hunter x Hunter.
Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact is currently in development by Bushiroad and Eighting. There is no release date announcement yet. The game was originally announced on December 2023 during Jump Festa 2024.

Final Fantasy XIV Producer Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida recently talked to Famitsu and shared new information about Wuk Lamat, one of the new major characters in the upcoming Dawntrail expansion. The producer also talked about the process of creating the NPC and the female Hrothgar for FFXIV. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Yoshi-P said that the story of Dawntrail is a new beginning for FFXIV. The story involves the Warrior of Light assisting in a contest to choose a successor for the throne of Yok Tural. Yoshida said that if the story does not have an appealing character supporting the player, it will not move the player's feelings.
At this point of development, only male Hrothgar had been included in FFXIV, and there were many requests to include the female version. Yoshi-P thought that it would be very difficult to add a female Hrothgar because they were busy updating the graphics of the game and would have to balance both elements. However, thanks to the graphics team's dedication, it was possible to include them.
With that in mind, the developers started working on Wuk Lamat with the idea of portraying her in an appealing way. The team thought that making Wuk Lamat, the next major character in the FFXIV Dawntrail expansion, a female Hrothgar would help highlight the new race, as well as depict the character's appeal and way of thinking, which would also help in tying her character and motivations to the community of Yok Tural.
Wuk Lamat will be included in the FFXIV Patch 6.55 Part 2. She will be depicted as "less than perfect" from the beginning, and Yoshi-P said that her growth will be one of the key elements in the story.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The game will appear on Xbox Series X in Spring 2024. The Dawntrail expansion will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in Summer 2024.

In a recent interview with Famitsu, FFXIV Producer Naoki Yoshida (or Yoshi-P) talked about the process of creating the newly revealed Pictomancer job for the Dawntrail expansion. The developer also explained the decision to make Krile a Pictomancer. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
When creating a new job, Yoshi-P said that the Final Fantasy XIV team thinks about the role first, not the job itself. He added that DPS is by far the most popular role, so when creating jobs for a new expansion, the team cannot exclude them. Since tank and healer jobs were the last to be added, they decided to add two DPS jobs for Dawntrail, as this would not disrupt the game's balance.
The team did not decide on Pictomancer from the beginning, but it was high among the options they were pondering. The developers considered the idea of a job that would replace performing attacks with the action of "drawing." Eventually, they thought that Pictomancer would be the most fun and interesting job.
When asked if the team decided to make the character Krile Mayer Baldesion a Pictomancer due to her resemblance to Relm from Final Fantasy VI, Yoshi-P stated that this was not the case. However, he said that if people think that the team had planned to make Krile and Relm look similar from the beginning, that is proof that the FFXIV developers were able to work well as a team.
The reason behind Krile becoming a Pictomancer in FFXIV Dawntrail is related to her feelings during the Endwalker expansion. Yoshi-P said that when considering how she felt during 6.0, he knew that she would have wanted to be on the front lines with the rest of the Scions and the Warrior of Light. Yoshida had always wanted to represent these feelings in-game with a job change, but due to her role in the plot of Endwalker, the producer knew this would not have been possible until 7.0.
Final Fantasy XIV is available on PS4, PS5, and PC. The game will launch on Xbox Series X in Spring 2024. The Dawntrail expansion will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in Summer 2024.
