JP Games has announced development on its new RPG project, Shallah. It will be about a love story between a human and a goddess, and take inspiration from One Thousand and One Nights. [Thanks, PR Times!]
According to JP Games, it will be a cutting-edge "adult" RPG about themes of life and death. Aside from the love story, it will also feature battles that use magic and sorcery. Shallah will have a worldwide release, though there is no information yet in regards to the consoles. The first key visual from the game shows a city lit up under the moon, with many clouds. The city itself has a Middle Eastern look to it.
This is a collaborative work between JP Games and Quantum Solutions, which is a company that focuses on developing AI and selling hardware. Quantum Solutions offered to help JP Games with Shallah, which, according to CEO Hajime Tabata, was in development for a long time. JP Games is in charge of planning the game and developing it. It will use Pegasus World Kit, which is a middleware it produced in 2021, to create Metaverses to develop Shallah. Quantum Solutions will help to support JP Games in the game's design, such as in its worldview. It will also own the IP.

McDonald's Japan has revealed the Happy Meal toys for its upcoming Pokemon collaboration. You'll be able to start getting them in McDonald's from February 9, 2024.
There will be two types of toys. The first type will be tags that you'll be able to use when playing Pokemon Mezastar. Pokemon Mezastar is limited to Japan, and it is an arcade game that you can play using physical tags.
These tags contain the Pokemon that you'll use, and when you catch a Pokemon, it'll spit out another tag for you to keep. There will be six variations of Pokemon to collect from the McDonald's Happy Meals, including Terastallized versions of Koraidon and Miraidon.
The other type of Pokemon Happy Meals toy is likely what McDonald's teased in late January 2024. The teaser then showed several Pokemon, such as Pikachu and Espurr, standing in a house. From February 9, 2024, you'll be able to get stickers and coloring books of cute Pokemon and common household items. The name of this series is Pokemon Peaceful Place.
Aside from the four Pokemon McDonald's originally teased, there will also be Pichu, Scorbunny, and Rowlet. McDonald's Japan will hand out the Happy Meal exclusive Pokemon Mezastar tags, as well as Pokemon Peaceful Place stickers and coloring books, from February 9, 2024.

Nihon Falcom has announced a release date for the PS4 and PS5 versions of Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. The much anticipated JRPG will come out on May 23, 2024.
The game's first release will include a bonus item, which is the soundtrack of Ys III. However, those who get the digital version of Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will get the digital version of the soundtrack. Meanwhile, those who purchase the game's physical version will get an actual CD. The CD will be the repackaged version of "Music From Ys III."
Ys: The Oath in Felghana originally came out in 2005 and is a remake of Ys III. It first came out on the PC and later appeared on the PSP and the Nintendo Switch. The Switch version had a 2023 release and featured voiceovers, including casting Yuki Kaji (Eren in Attack on Titan, Todoroki in My Hero Academia) for protagonist Adol.
There are some differences in the plot compared to the original Ys III and additional scenes. Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is an HD remastered version of the Switch version, though you will be able to switch back to the classic PSP and PC versions of the character sprites.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will come out for the PS4 and PS5 on May 23, 2024.

Square Enix has posted some information on Sephiroth and Cloud's Synergy Ability in FFVII Rebirth. There is also a short clip of it on its Twitter (X) account.
In Sephiroth and Coud's Synergy Ability, the two of them attack an enemy simultaneously. It ends with Sephiroth and Cloud looking at each other, though with very different emotions on their faces. As for Square Enix's description of the Synergy Ability, it describes Sephiroth's attacks as an elegant dance. Meanwhile, Cloud is doing his best to slice at the enemy with his sword. The name of their Synergy Ability is Cross Spiral.
Synergy Abilities will be a new battle mechanic in FFVII Rebirth, with many different possible combinations within the team. It is a powerful attack that requires both characters and will drain their ATB gauges. Some combinations Square Enix teased thus far include Red XIII and Yuffie, Barret and Cloud, and Aerith and Tifa. Synergizing was also a mechanic in FFVII Intergrade, in which you could drain both Yuffie and Sonon's ATB gauges to launch a combination attack.
FFVII Rebirth is in development and will come out for the PS5 on February 29, 2024. The console exclusivity arrangement will end on May 29, 2024.

Kotobukiya announced two new NieR Automata scale figures of protagonists 2B and 9S. So far, Kotobukiya has only shown images of gray unpainted prototypes, and there is no release date or window announced yet.
Once the PVC figures are complete, they will be pre-painted. The figures will be at a 1/8 scale. There are no details currently on its dimensions yet. More news will appear in the future. The figures are based on the NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime adaptation of the game. The prototypes are now on display at Akihabara Radio Kaikan as part of the Kotobukiya Collection event.

Many figure announcements appeared during the Kotobukiya Collection event, like a new scale figure of the Persona 3 Reload protagonist, new Sigma and Bass.EXE figures from Mega Man X and Mega Man Battle Network, and a new Star Trek Bishoujo figure was teased, and might be based on Captain Kirk.
The new Kotobukiya scale figures of 2B and 9S from NieR Automata are currently in development, and there is no release date for them. NieR Automata is available for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and its anime adaptation is available in Crunchyroll.

A new line of official Persona 3 Reload merchandise includes a replica of the protagonist's MP3 player, various acrylic stands, keychains, pin badges, a tarot card set, and a replica of the Velvet Room key, among others. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
The items are available for pre-order from the Atlus section of the Ebten online store and are expected to be released sometime in mid-April 2024. In addition, the Persona 3 Reload Soundtrack is also included in the new batch of merchandise.

On the occasion of the recent release of P3R, Kotobukiya and Sideshow announced a new scale figure of the protagonist of Persona 3 Reload, and Cerevo revealed that a replica of the P3R Evoker is in development and a prototype will appear at Wonder Festival 2024 Winter.
Persona 3 Reload is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The game is also available on Game Pass. The new line of merchandise is now up for pre-order from Atlus' Ebten online store.

How to get the first Old Document in Persona 3 Reload The first Old Document is found on the 22nd floor of Tartarus. It doesn't matter which day you head here as it's really hard to miss. As soon as you reach the 22nd floor, you'll likely be stopped from progressing through Tartarus until the next major story beat. But this room is tiny and the chest containing the first Old Document can be found in the center. My dad raised me on a diet of sci-fi from Star Trek to Farscape, and a staple of that diet was Stargate in its various incarnations. The exception is the original Stargate movie which I simply don't care about. But I've watched Stargate SG-1 and its spinoff Stargate: Atlantis somewhere in the region of half a dozen times each, and read quite a few of the novels that continued the stories from where the shows left off. I've always been a little baffled by the lack of video games based on the Stargate license, so Stargate: Timekeepers was an exciting prospect. |
