PCGamesN Wednesday, February 21, 2024 9:57 AM Is the water-cooling loop in this scratch-built wooden PC build really filled with whiskey? Well, obviously not, but we absolutely love what PC builder Craig Ferrie has done with this Jack Daniel's gaming PC. The wooden case itself is a marvelous bit of craftsmanship, but the centerpiece is the Jack Daniel's bottle and glass tumbler at the front - these parts genuinely work as part of the water-cooling system, which is filled with whiskey-colored coolant. Thanks to our rapidly growing PC building Facebook page, we've seen many custom gaming PCs, from mods based on existing case designs to scratch PC builds. As one of the best handheld gaming PCs, the Legion Go and its 8.8-inch, 1600p display towers over the competition, quite literally. It also has a battery larger than the ROG Ally, but it is not enough to compete with the well-rounded Steam Deck OLED, especially when it has a higher MSRP. He was BioWare's general manager for several years, but left the company in 2017 following the release of the less-regarded Mass Effect: Andromeda. New survival sim Nightingale is his first early access project, and it's certainly been a learning experience, with Flynn obliged to rethink many of the things he learned about gamedev during his BioWare days. Speaking to me ahead of Nightingale's launch, Flynn talked about the difficulty of making headway as a new developer in an industry where the most successful competing live service titles have effectively become part of the landscape - indeed, a force of "gravity". |

Nintendo revealed in the Japanese February 2024 Nintendo Direct that it is releasing Mother 3 via the Nintendo Switch Online's Game Boy Advance game lineup "today." The trailer starts at the 23:15 mark in the video, and it lasts for approximately one minute.
Mother 3 is the third—and the latest to date—entry in the RPG series that is alternatively known in the West as Earthbound. HAL Laboratory developed the game with Brownie Brown, and Nintendo released it for Game Boy Advance in Japan in April 2006. But while the first two Mother / Earthbound games have received Western localizations, Nintendo has still yet to localize the third entry as of early 2024.
Even though the February 2024 Nintendo Direct was touted as a Partner Showcase edition that focuses on third-party games, Nintendo still showcased the first-party title in the Japanese video. Shortly after publishing the Direct, Nintendo also uploaded a stand-alone trailer for the Nintendo Switch Online release of Mother 3:
The Game Boy Advance RPG Mother 3 is now available for Nintendo Switch via the Japanese Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The original game is available on the GBA in Japan. There's no word on if we will see it in other regions.

One of the Atlus games appearing at the February 2024 Nintendo Direct was Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. The Nintendo Switch exclusive launched in 2021, and this is an updated version for the Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X that will arrive on June 21, 2024.
SMT V is the latest entry in the modern day RPGs. Following an earthquake, players' ordinary high school avatar ends up in a decimated, desert version of Tokyo. It's then that players become the Nahobino, fusing together with a god named Aogami to become an entirely new entity. They then end up working with a government agency called Bethel to learn more about what's going on and attempt to save humanity. Like other entries in the series, your actions and alignment can determine the fate of the world.
Here's the first trailer:
We'll learn even more about it soon. At 6:30am PT/9:30am ET, there will be a dedicated showcase in Japan going over the title.
Over the last few years, Atlus has consistently and regularly released SMT entries worldwide. For example, the HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne showed up worldwide on the PS4, Switch, and PC. The same happened with SMT IV and its Apocalypse follow-up for the Nintendo 3DS.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2024. The original game is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.

Bandai Namco has lifted the streaming restrictions that were in place for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn. Players will be able to upload content from all parts of the game now.
The rule regarding streaming and content creation based on the Beyond the Dawn DLC for Tales of Arise went into place on February 21, 2024. However, people should still put some sort of spoiler warning either in the thumbnail, the beginning of the video, or in the video description. This goes for screenshots as well. Companies usually ask this from fans even after they lift streaming bans so that players who are starting the game later or haven't gotten as far yet will not spoil themselves on accident.
Beyond the Dawn is the post-game DLC for Tales of Arise. It introduces new character Nazamil, though she is not a playable character. While the DLC content takes place after the game, players are free to start it before they beat the main Tales of Arise story. Since you can't use your own characters from the base game for the DLC, you won't have to worry about their level or equipment.
Tales of Arise and the Beyond the Dawn DLC are readily available on the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.

PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, February 21, 2024 7:59 AM In Nightingale, if you want to light up your base and keep everything well lit for the bonus – and also to see – then you'll need a lot of Twine. It isn't immediately apparent where one can craft this stuff, so allow me to enlighten you. Buying a Simple Spinning Wheel in Nightingale Upon first stumbling into the Abeyance Realm, you will scarcely have any recipes to your name to build things. Puck will quickly reprimand your ignorance, but will tell you about Essence Traders. It is from them that we will purchase the recipe for a Simple Spinning Wheel. Go to your map and look around for an Essence Trader. You should find one pretty close to where you spawn. If you chose the Forest Abeyance Realm like Puck recommended, then they should be a small ways north. Screenshot: PC Invasion You can purchase the Simple Spinning Wheel for 55 Essence. If you're short on Essence, then I'd recommend going around with your Sickle and harvesting a bunch... |
PC Invasion - FeedDDD Wednesday, February 21, 2024 6:48 AM Nightingale affords you great creative freedom when building up your Estate and populating it with facilities and features. If you find yourself wanting for a change of order – or if you want to redesign your entire Estate – you'll need to know the best way to deconstruct things. Can you deconstruct buildings in Nightingale? Unfortunately, Nightingale doesn't support instant deconstruction like in other games with similar building systems. You can't enter a deconstruction mode and instantly destroy items that you want to get rid of. Screenshot: PC Invasion In Nightingale, you have to do it the old fashioned way. Pick up your Pick or Axe and go to town on the structure or building you want to remove. If you look at the item at the correct angle, a small red health bar will appear. Will will indicate how much more punishment it can handle before getting destroyed. A destroyed structure or item will not refund the full amount that you spend on ... |
