7-Eleven in Japan teased an upcoming Nijisanji campaign involving Vtubers. More information about it and possible merchandise tied to it will come out on May 6, 2024.
It seems that there will be eight different VTubers who'll be part of this campaign. We can only see little bits and pieces of their visual, so it's hard to immediately recognize anyone. Some of the VTubers who'll likely be part of this are Ibrahim, Furen, Yumeoi Kakeru, and Hoshikawa Sara. According to the post, all of them will be wearing matching outfits.
In terms of the actual campaign, you will probably be able to purchase 7-Eleven products from the convenience stores that have the Nijisanji VTubers on the packaging. Of course, we will know more concrete details about it on May 6, 2024.
In spite of the rather negative reputation Anycolor and Nijisanji have garnered overseas, it is still a very big agency and company in Japan. Last year, NijiFes made over 6.4 billion JPY in ticket sales and a 7th anniversary festival will take place in February 2025. A lot of the money Anycolor makes from these VTubers also comes from goods, which would likely include whatever will be available at 7-Eleven stores for this collaboration.
More information on the 7-Eleven Nijisanji campaign will come out on May 6, 2024.

Death Stranding Director Hideo Kojima and actor Mads Mikkelsen will attend Osaka Comic Con 2024. The event will feature a talk between the director and actor on May 5, 2024 at 12:25pm JST. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The Osaka Comic Con talk between Hideo Kojima and Mads Mikkelsen is scheduled to appear on the main stage on May 5, 2024, at 12:25 pm JST, and the event will be held between May 3-5, 2024 at INTEX Osaka. Mads Mikkelsen appeared in Hideo Kojima's latest video game, Death Stranding, as Clifford "Cliff" Unger, a major character and US Army Special Forces captain with a mysterious past tied to BB.
In addition, actor Norman Reedus, who portrays protagonist Sam Porter Bridges in both Death Stranding and its upcoming sequel Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, will attend Osaka Comic Con 2024. However, it doesn't seem like he will be involved in the conversation with the game's director.
As a reminder, a live-action feature film adaptation of Death Stranding is currently in the making as a collaboration between A24 and Kojima Productions. In addition, Hideo Kojima confirmed back in February 2024 that Mads Mikkelsen's character of Cliff will not return for Death Stranding 2.
Death Stranding is readily available on the PS4 and PC, and the Death Stranding Director's Cut version is available for PS5 and PC. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is currently in development for the PlayStation 5 with its release window set for 2025.

Ahead of the Honkai: Star Rail 2024 concert, HoYoVerse uploaded a short animated commercial to promote the event. The commercial features the characters that appear in the key visual for this year's concert.

The trailer takes place in Penacony and follows Kafka, Argenti, Aventurine, Yanqing, Jingliu, and Robin as they get ready for the concert. We can see some of them picking out clothing, as well as some of them practicing their instruments. Some shenanigans occur, such as Jingliu getting mad at Stelle for mistaking her for a beggar (even though she's practicing in public) and Aventurine tripping on the cat cakes in his bedroom.
The global live-stream for the concert will be on May 1, 2024. It'll start from 4:05 AM PT/7:05 AM ET/5:05 PM China time. You can watch it here.
Honkai: Star Rail came out just a little over a year ago, and HoYoVerse has been holding events both in-game and in real life to celebrate the game's first anniversary. It has also given players multiple rewards, such as Stellar Jades, in order to use in the gacha or save for future characters.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 2.2, the newest patch, will come out on May 8, 2024.

The Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom movie will stop appearing in Japanese theaters on May 23, 2024. Sunrise also announced how much money the movie has made domestically so far, noting it is about $2.877 million. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
According to Sunrise, in the 95 days since the movie came out, it's made over 4.52 billion JPY. That would be around $2.877 million. Around 2.69 million people went to go see it. Closer to the end of the theatrical run, Sunrise will start releasing SNS icons and smartphone backgrounds to celebrate the film and achievement. These will consist of characters portraits, organization logos, Mobile Suits, and key visuals.
On May 18, 2024, there will be special finale showings at the Marunouchi Piccadilly. During this time, voice actors and key staff from the show will appear on stage to greet viewers. The 2:00 PM showing will focus on Kira and Cagalli's birthday celebration. The 5:45 PM one will have the main voice actors and the director appear to greet everyone.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom first started airing in Japan on January 26, 2024. It is a new movie set in the Cosmic Era, taking place after the events of Destiny. Lacus is now the leader of Compass, which is a world peace monitoring organization. However, while things seem peaceful on the surface, a new conflict is brewing underneath.
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is still airing in theaters in Japan.

Square Enix announced that the company is expecting extraordinary losses during the fiscal year ended in March 2024 for an approximated total of 22.1 billion yen (or over $140 million.) The company described these as "content abandonment losses," however it didn't give any details on the content itself.
The 22.1 billion yen (~$140 million) losses come as result of Square Enix making the decision of being more selective in the allocation of its development resources for HD games, these being console and PC titles. In addition, the final number corresponding to these extraordinary losses may differ. The announcement came ahead of the company's upcoming financial report for the entirety of the fiscal year ended in 2024 (which corresponds from Q2 2023 to Q1 2024.)
Square Enix's latest financial report appeared in February 2024 and it went over the 9-month period between April-December 2023. In it, the company described an increase in sales of its various new titles, but a reduction of profits compared to the previous fiscal year ended in March 2023 (corresponding to Q2 2022 through Q1 2023.)
Some of the last Square Enix releases for the fiscal year ended in March 2024 include Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, Foamstars, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Meanwhile, The Rising Tide DLC for Final Fantasy XVI is the first main release of the company corresponding to the new fiscal year started in April 2024, followed by SaGa: Emerald Beyond.
