With Google and OpenAI both revealing their big AI plans in recent weeks, and with Apple expected to do the same next month, you could have been forgiven for forgetting about Microsoft. But AI is a huge part of the tech giant’s plans for Windows, and anyone following its annual Build conference will have been left in no doubt about that.
To that end, it unveiled a heap of new hardware and software with AI at its heart, including new Surface laptops built around Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X chips and their AI-friendly neural processing units. Few gadgets have been rumored for as long as the first pair of Sonos headphones have, and now the Sonos Ace cans are here – with noise cancellation and Dolby Atmos, but without (surprisingly) the ability to connect to an existing Sonos speaker system.
Canon has officially announced the EOS R1, but hasn't given us much in the way of detail. While we wait to hear about an on-sale date and price, the much-anticipated mirrorless flagship has been spotted in the wild, in the build-up to the Monaco Grand Prix.
