PCGamesN Sunday, June 2, 2024 11:13 PM AMD has just unveiled two more brand new gaming CPUs for its now ancient AM4 motherboard range, enabling gamers to get a CPU upgrade on boards that are many years old. The new AMD Ryzen 9 5900 XT and AMD Ryzen 7 5800 XT CPUs, with the latter being the fastest-clocked AM4 processor in its class yet. While AMD's range of AM4 CPUs have long been supplanted on our list of the best gaming CPUs by its speedier AM5 CPUs on, these chips still represent a potential ideal upgrade for those users still holding on to PCs with older AMD motherboards. If you're still running a first or second generation Ryzen CPU and are finally tempted by an upgrade, these - along with other still available AM4 chips - could be just what you need. PCGamesN Sunday, June 2, 2024 10:59 PM AMD has just unveiled its latest lineup of CPUs and has surprised everyone with a completely new naming scheme for some of the chips too. Using the much-anticipated new Zen 5 architecture, AMD has unveiled the new AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs for desktop and AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series CPUs for laptops. We've long been anticipating that these new AMD Zen 5 desktop chips will be likely contenders for a top spot on our best gaming CPU guide but it's of course no guarantee until we test them. However, with a 16% improvement in instructions per clock (IPC), AMD has delivered a decent jump up in raw speed, which should translate to faster gaming performance. In response to the controversy in which Kuro Games accidentally leaked over 200 personal emails of disgruntled Wuthering Waves players, Kuro Games will offer anyone whose information was leaked a 10,000 JPY Amazon gift card. The email from Kuro Games also explained in further detail how something like this happened in the first place. [Thanks, keioday2]
For context, the Japanese version of Wuthering Waves had a critical translation error in the description for Verdant Summit. The weapon's effect increases Heavy Attack DMG after a Resonance Liberation or Intro Skill. However, the Japanese version accidentally wrote it as Resonance Skill and Intro Skill. As an apology, Kuro Games offered refunds. But when replying to customers who requested a refund, it accidentally hit "Reply All" rather than BCC. This meant that players in the reply chain saw the personal e-mails of over 200 people who contacted Kuro Games for the same reason.
Twitter user "keioday2" posted a follow-up email from Kuro Games. The company noted it apologized for the incident and is working on improving things behind the scenes to prevent this from happening again. According to the email, a partner company is the one in charge of handling emails. When replying to refund requests, the people in charge were not careful and did not double-check before hitting reply all. In order to prevent this from happening again, Kuro Games is reinforcing how important it is to be careful while handling personal information within the company, as well as enforcing more severe rules when it comes to sending emails.
As an apology, it will give everyone whose email was in the leak a 10,000 JPY Amazon gift card. In response to people wondering if this was just a scam, keioday2 revealed the e-mail address that sent it. The e-mail is "wutheringwaves_jpsupport@kurogames.com" which seems legitimate. They also noted that the email did not include the telltale signs of a gift card scam. This includes instructing the person to charge the card with real money. With this, the saga regarding the Verdant Summit controversy seems to have drawn to a close.
Wuthering Waves is readily available on the Windows PC and mobile devices.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will appear on Netflix on October 10, 2024. The show will canonically take place after the Survivor trilogy of Tomb Raider video games.
You can watch the trailer here:
Hayley Atwell will play Lara in Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. Atwell's most famous role is Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and she also voiced Captain Carter in the animated What If...? anthology that's available on Disney+.
While the Netflix description states that the show takes place after the trilogy, it's unclear whether people will need to play them all to fully understand the story. This trilogy includes Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. As of the time of writing, a bundle for the games is on sale via Steam.
Lara Croft is a very famous and significant character in video game history. For better or for worse, she is influential on many generations of gamers. While she's had multiple retcons in her history over the long years since the first Tomb Raider, her main motivation in games is usually to look for rare objects or mystical artefacts. This search can be for a multitude of reasons depending on which version we're talking about.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will appear exclusively on Netflix on October 10, 2024.

In order to allow players to access more content in Wuthering Waves Version 1.0, Kuro Games will alter the release schedule of content starting from June 6, 2024, with the Yinlin banner starting on that date as well. This should not affect the schedule for Jiyan's banner.
As of the time of writing, Jiyan's banner should still end on June 13, 2024. Yinlin's banner was probably supposed to come out on that date. However, Kuro Games has moved it to June 6, 2024. Her weapon banner will also appear on that date, along with her Companion Story and a limited-time event. For reference, Yinlin will be a 5-star Electro Rectifier character. This schedule change is only one of Kuro Games's many announcements in regards to future optimization for Wuthering Waves.
Version 1.0 of Wuthering Waves will end on June 28, 2024. After maintenance, Version 1.1 "Thaw of Eons" will go live. This will include the new Mt. Firmament area, Resonators Jinhsi and Changli, and a new boss Jué. Kuro Games will also issue 10 Radiant Tides to Rovers as compensation for the unexpected change. Players will get their Radiant Tides in the in-game mail on June 3, 2024.
Wuthering Waves is readily available on the Windows PC and mobile devices. Yinlin's banner will start on June 6, 2024 in Wuthering Waves, with Jiyan's banner lasting until June 13, 2024.

The June 1, 2024 episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure marks the 1000th total episode for the Precure series. The Twitter (X) account for Wonderful Pretty Cure commemorates this with a picture of Cure Wonderful and Cure Black.
According to the Tweet, episode 18 of Wonderful Pretty Cure was the 1000th episode of Precure. Not only that, but it was the 1000th episode aired in the same 8:30 AM Sunday time slot on Japanese television. This is a fairly big deal, as TV companies tend to move shows around time slots depending on a multitude of factors. For example, Detective Conan, which is another very long-running anime series in Japan, changed its TV slot several times between 2007 and 2009. Yet another long-running series, One Piece, also changed slots multiple times in 2006.
Here is a video to celebrate the 1000th Pretty Cure episode:
The Pretty Cure (or PreCure) series started in 2004 with Futari wa Pretty Cure. There have been several spin-off series since then, but they all focus on magical girls who use their powers to fight against the forces of evil and defend Earth. As each show progresses, they usually get more powers or magical items. PreCure also tends to defy expectations of the magical girl genre in a different way from trope subversion (like Puella Magi Madoka Magica did, for example). Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure in 2023 introduced Cure Wing, who is the franchise's first permanent male Cure. The newest and current entry, Wonderful Pretty Cure, stars a dog that can turn into a human. She is the Cure Wonderful posing with Cure Black.
Wonderful Pretty Cure is available for streaming via services like Crunchyroll.
