PCGamesN Tuesday, July 23, 2024 9:27 AM  A Gigabyte motherboard leak has just revealed the name of the flagship motherboard chipset for Intel Arrow Lake, as well as adding more evidence that this new gaming CPU lineup will feature the Intel Core Ultra branding. The new CPUs will use a new socket called LGA1851, which will require a new motherboard, with top-end products apparently based on a new Intel Z890 motherboard chipset. This follows the naming convention of Intel's last few chipsets for its best motherboard offerings, with the Z790 and Z690 chipsets coming before it, so it isn't a huge surprise, but this is the first time we've seen it in writing on a physical product. If you want to get the most out of Intel's best gaming CPU options when they come out, then you'll want an Intel Z890 motherboard, as this is reportedly the only chipset that will enable you to overclock your CPU. Not so! It's a singleplayer game in which you control not one but both carriers of a stretcher. You have to ferry a sick man over the hilly countryside, past muddy lake banks and over snowy mountains, all without dropping him on the ground. I can only imagine it controls a bit like Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, but with added ragdoll jollity. We'll know next week, when it releases on Steam. |

I didn't expect to see any rival catfish appearing in games after that, but now that I think about it - why not? They're a naturally freaky animal, perfect video game antagonists. And the developers of upcoming Japanese folklore 'em up Otoshi No Shima seem to understand this, having created a monstrous creature with a gaping mouth that follows the player at every turn. I've spent a non-zero amount of time this week compiling a wishlist for potential Stardew Valley-likes that also let me keep pets. I wasn't sure what I wanted to play, but I knew I was burnt out on both stabbing and shooting, and wanted something light and colourful with a solid loop that I could veg out (pun intended) with at the end of the day. I even went to so far as to create a chap named Karrot King in Stardew before quitting in disgust because I couldn't easily access carrot seeds. I cannot in good conscious claim that I manifested such a videogame - that was the work of Skyreach Studio. However, this is the internet, so I will both take credit for it and offer you an exclusive discount on my course. While I'm waiting for your membership fee to arrive, I'll be playing Critter Crops. It's a witchy farming sim in which you grow odd pets and cast spells from flesh-bound grimoires. One of the verbs it offers on its Steam page is 'noodle'. Apologies to all the other games on my wishlist. |

Sentinel has revealed a new Riobot action figure that will depict Shinji Ikari's Evangelion Unit-01 with a Japanese Musha warrior attire. The company also announced that Takashi Okazaki, the manga artist and illustrator best known for Afro Samurai, is working on the design of the new figure. Its official name will be "Multipurpose Humanoid Battle Weapon Musha Unit-01."
Riobot is a line of robot action figures published by Sentinel. The entries in this line are mostly inspired by the Super Robot Wars game series. The company has featured units from not only the Original Generation series but also the shows that have appeared in the crossover games, such as Cross Ange and Getter Robo Armageddon. Sentinel also released action figures based on other robot-themed titles like Voltron: Legendary Defender and Me & Roboco.
Sentinel has yet to confirm the new action figure's release window and pricing. So far it has only announced that it will open orders for the product on July 26, 2024.

There have been more collaboration figures themed after Evangelion units revealed earlier. In late May 2024, Bandai unveiled a static figure based on the Godzilla vs Evangelion crossover. After closing its pre-orders in late June 2024, Bandai will formally release it in September 2024.
Sentinel will start accepting orders for the Evangelion-themed Multipurpose Humanoid Battle Weapon Musha Type-01 Riobot action figure on Friday, July 26, 2024.

Kuro Games has announced that a PS5 version of Wuthering Waves is in development. More information on the official launch date will appear in the future.
The game is available on the Windows PC and mobile devices, though there is no controller support on phones or tablets. Like the other versions, it will likely be free to play, though it might also be like Zenless Zone Zero in which a paid bundle is available via the PSN store. In Zenless Zone Zero, this bundle (which was a pre-order bundle) contained in-game currency and level-up materials.
Wuthering Waves came out in May 2024 as an open-world RPG with a heavier emphasis on combat. Despite its rocky start, with issues including a botched translation, it accumulated over 30 million downloads within its first month. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in which the player takes on the role of the Rover, who is an amnesiac with a unique ability to absorb the monsters that roam the world without the use of devices like the other "Resonators" in the game. To increase your roster of playable characters, you need to pull in the gacha. Changli, a 5-star Fusion Sword character, just appeared in the gacha as a new Resonator.
Wuthering Waves is readily available on the Windows PC and mobile devices, with a PS5 version in development. More information on the release window will appear later on.
