The Hi-Fi Rush studio have been acquired - alongside the IP for future games in the rhythm action series - by South Korean company Krafton, who also own PUBG Studios and Striking Distance, among others. "This strategic move will include the rights to Tango Gameworks' acclaimed IP, Hi-Fi Rush," Krafton said in a statement today. HoYoVerse started its drip marketing for the 1.2 Zenless Zone Zero update, and it will include a new Agent named Caesar King. She is going to be a Sons of Calydon member, and she'll be a Defense-type character who deals physical damage.
HoYoVerse first announced her on social media alongside some comments from other characters and official art. The initial imagery shows her wielding a shield. Billy Kid referred to her as "big sis," showing his familiarity with her. Luciana, who is also from the same faction, noted, "Just like her name, she's as simple as salad." She's the head of her faction.
The other part of the marketing involved a video short with a sample of her English voice acting.
Two Sons of Calydon characters appeared in Zenless Zone Zero prior to the Caesar King reveal. They're Luciana de Montefio and Piper Wheel. Both of them are only A-rank units. Lucy is a Support character who deals Fire damage. Piper also does Physical damage, and she's an Anomaly style Agent.
Zenless Zone Zero is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 1.1 update arrives on August 14, 2024. There's no release window for the 1.2 update and Caesar King just yet.
