Is Roblox shutting down in 2024?

Is Roblox shutting down? There always seems to be a rumor that Roblox is going to shut down. Let's get one thing clear early on: anyone who tells you that Roblox is shutting down is incorrect. Roblox Corporation has tweeted confirmation that the game isn't going anywhere, so you can relax and get back to playing your favorite games.

However, if you are curious to know where this rumor originated and how it got so big, we've done a little digging to uncover one of the sources of the speculation. With Roblox achieving a lifetime revenue of over $1 billion and over $70 million in payouts to creators, it would seem utterly ludicrous for the game to shut down. While the game is still up and running, check out some of the best Roblox games and our Anime Champions codes, Blox Fruits codes, and Project Slayers codes guides to snag yourself some freebies.

What are the best co-op games? Games offer up magic in lots of different guises, but working with a friend to achieve a goal is, arguably, where they shine. So what are the titles that will pull friends together and offer the best cooperative group-based thrills?

The great thing about the best PC games involving co-op play is that you're not restricted to a genre. As long as there's room for two controllers on a split screen or some perfectly coordinated play over a headset, co-op games can be found among the best sandbox games, relaxing games, or even horror games. These are some of the very best co-op games for you to share with your favorite people.

Huge MMORPG Black Desert Online is currently available for just $1

MMORPGs can be hard to get into. Speaking from my experience with Final Fantasy 14, there's always so much to do and not enough time to do it. Between a main story, side quests, social activities, raids, gear grinding, and PvP, the prospect of entering a new world is nothing short of daunting. Add an asking price and a required monthly subscription to all that, and it's even harder to get started. If you're looking for a new MMO or want to dive into the genre for the first time though, I have an answer for you. Black Desert Online is currently discounted to just $1, and it doesn't require a subscription to keep playing.

After years in early access, realistic SWAT FPS Zero Hour hits 1.0

Sometimes, you want a shooter that's frenetic, fantastical, and outright fun, like Doom Eternal or maybe, back in the day, Half-Life. But there's another type of FPS, the more austere and self-serious simulation-style shooter like Ready or Not or the earlier Rainbow Six games. Zero Hour is definitely one of these. Boasting scarily realistic movement and gunplay, it feels like the descendant of the superlative SWAT series, and now, finally, after four years of early access, it's officially launched in full.

Acer Nitro Blaze 7 hands on: this Steam Deck rival dials up the ante

The Acer Nitro Blaze 7 is the latest addition to the world of gaming handhelds, with Acer being surprisingly slow off the blocks in this new sector. The Blaze 7 isn't exactly packed full of unique features, which makes it a tough sell when it's arriving so late, but with the right price it could be a solid option for those that still haven't yet taken the plunge.

With its eyes clearly set on gaining a spot on the best handheld gaming PC guides of the world, this new Acer handheld is based on a 7-inch screen and houses a slightly different CPU to most other Steam Deck rivals. Instead of the Z1 Extreme of the Asus ROG Ally X and Legion Go, it uses the Ryzen 7 8804HS. It has the same level of GPU power, but some differences elsewhere. We got our hands on the new Steam Deck rival at the IFA trade show where it was launched, to see how it's shaping up.

Sims rival InZOI addresses concerns over its use of generative AI

InZOI developer Krafton has responded to player concerns around the game's use of generative AI technology. The life game's growing community is worried that Krafton would be training its AI on the work of others without consent, which is largely deemed unethical as many models indiscriminately scrape the internet for resources. Krafton has now put these concerns to rest, confirming that InZOI will only use its own assets or copyright-free material in its gen AI. This level of creativity could help The Sims rival stand out from the crowd, but many players don't want this at the expense of using other's work.

AMD's Ryzen 5 7600X3D beats all the new Zen 5 CPUs in games

The new AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D is out in the wild and, despite previously being touted as a US exclusive for Micro Center, it's now on sale in Germany. It looks like a good chip too. There's a lot to like about the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, on paper. This chip might have two fewer cores than the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which is still the best gaming CPU on the market right now, but the use of 3D V-cache in this Socket AM5 AMD CPU means it's actually out-performing AMD's new Zen 5 CPUs in some game tests.

When Warner Bros released a fairly abysmal trailer for the Minecraft Movie last week, there could be only one possible result: the game's legions of fan filmmakers, modders, texture pack creators, and garden-variety players would attempt to upstage it. That process begins with the speedy release of several fan reworkings of the trailer that use something like vanilla Minecraft graphics, rather than the original, unholy fusion of LB Photo Realism and Jack Black. This'll teach Johnny Hollywood to run his grubby hands all over our beloved Creepers, eh.

Hack the planet, wizard fans. A modder has cracked open some previously disabled abilities in the official modding toolkit for Baldur's Gate 3, making it possible for folks to create their own levels or alter the game's existing environments. The toolkit (which was only made available last week) previously wouldn't let you do any of that, due to "technical constraints and platform-specific guidelines," according to developers Larian. But modders neither care nor sleep. It took them just two days to worm their way into the devkit's innards and make the impossible possible.
