PCGamesN Wednesday, September 11, 2024 5:04 PM For all there have been attempts to lift the curtain of game development and show people how the sausage is made, game dev remains a pretty opaque thing. Moze in Honkai: Star Rail is a 4-star Lightning Hunt character who can work as both a main attacker or a sub-attacker depending on what teams you put him on. He works best with characters who are capable of using follow-up attacks.
To best understand what teams fit Moze in Honkai: Star Rail, you need to know how he works. In broad strokes, he can apply the Prey state onto enemies with his Skill. After allies attack Prey, Moze can deal Additional Lightning DMG, as well as consume a stack. Every three stacks, Moze launches a follow-up attack. Because of the way his stacks work, Moze wants to be on follow-up attack teams that can quickly deplete his Charge points and activate his own follow-up attack.

Nintendo has started selling a 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner featuring Pikmin. It says "for kids" on the packaging, but adults can use it as well.
The shampoo uses arnica essence, marine collagen, and amino acids for moisturizing your hair. It's also tear-free in the sense that it has less chances of irritating the eyes if you accidentally get it on your face. Each bottle of shampoo costs 638 JPY ($4.50) and you can get it in the Nintendo stores in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. It seems from the product description that the only Pikmin element in the shampoo comes from the packaging.
Even a year after Pikmin 4, the most recent Pikmin game, came out, Nintendo, Bandai, and other companies still release products based on the popular little mascots. In June 2023, Bandai released Pikmin bath bombs that look like lemons. However, after you put it in the water, a little Pikmin toy will come out. In July 2024, Re-Ment also released several terrariums depicting what life looks like for a Pikmin.
Pikmin 4 is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. You can get the Pikmin 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner from Nintendo stores around Japan. As of the time of writing, you can't purchase it online via the Bandai Lifestyle website.

Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) will announce a new title ahead of TGS 2024. The name and visual of this upcoming game should appear on September 24, 2024 (September 25, 2024 in Japan time)
The website for the new game first appeared on September 11, 2024. However, as of the time of writing, the only thing on the website is a timer counting down thirteen days. As TGS 2024 will run from September 26 to 29, 2024 in Japan, this means that NIS will announce its new game a day before TGS 2024. It's unknown why NIS chose to do that,
According to the Sega website, NIS still hasn't announced what games it'll show off at TGS 2024. So there's a chance that it wants to focus on promoting the game after players already know it exists. We may also see some new upcoming titles, such as Phantom Brave. It's unlikely that we'll see games like The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II though. That's because the title already came out in Japan back in 2022.
More information on the new Nippon Ichi Software game will come out on September 25, 2024 at 12:00 PM JST. That would convert to 8:00 PM PST/11:00 PM EST of September 24, 2024.

A new Metaphor: ReFantazio game mode will be playable at TGS 2024. ATLUS announced that attendees will have the opportunity to get their hands on a chunk of the game that was otherwise not available to the public. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This mode is "Journey Mode," and will allow for players to explore a small section of the map. However, exploration in Metaphor: ReFantazaio is a bit different than what fans of the Persona series, or other modern ATLUS titles, may expect.
Instead of navigating through a specific zone, Persona 5's Shibuya as an example, players will take to the skies in an airship and navigate through an illustrated map. For the sake of the demo, players will be able to select an area to travel to while inside of their airship. This demo will also provide a glimpse into how the time passing mechanic will function in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Those who choose to stop by and give the demo a whirl will receive a special Metaphor: ReFantazio bookmark and bag. Additionally, several stage events for Metaphor Re:Fantazio at TGS 2024 are planned and will feature key characters from the game such as Hulkenberg.

Feixiao is a powerful 5-star Wind Hunt character in Honkai: Star Rail who greatly benefits from teams that specialize in follow-up attacks. Her unique method of using stacks for her Ultimate can limit which support or sustain characters she runs with, though.
The most important thing to keep in mind when coming up with your own teams for Feixiao in Honkai: Star Rail is that you need to consider her Thunderhunt Trace. Thunderhunt lets her use her Ultimate every 6 Flying Aureus stacks. Feixiao can gain a stack every 2 attacks from allies, which means that she works best on follow-up attack teams, since her allies can attack even when it's not their turn. Feixiao can also deal follow-up attacks after her teammates attack, though she can only do this once per turn.

The update also added three quality of life changes and fixed a number of bugs as well.
When it comes to selecting pronoun options in Fields of Mistria, there will be five more to choose from after the update. These are he/she, she/he, they/he, they/she, and it/its. The announcement also noted this was added as a result of a request from the community.
Likewise, the new hair colors were also mentioned as a player-requested addition to Fields of Mistria. However, the new eye colors implemented are not. While NPC studio didn't share a screenshot of the new eye colors in Fields of Mistria, it did show all of the hair colors applied to the Wavy Long Fringe style.

There are certain otome games that might end up feeling a bit generic, even if they are generally fine, and Celestia: Chain of Fate is a perfect example. It features a limited number of love interests who generally adhere to certain tropes and don't feel terribly unique, a story with a Mary Sue sort of lead, and an artistic direction that may come across as a bit bland compared to its contemporaries. It borrows a lot of concepts from other fantasy stories as well. The end result is a somewhat bland, harmless love story where the only element that stands out is how surprisingly easy it could be to earn a bad end. It isn't bad, mind you, but it might not stand out enough to catch a potential player's eye.
From the very outset in Celestia: Chain of Fate, Agate establishes that the player character in this otome game is special. Aria's mother was an angel and her father a devil, here referred to as Angelus and Daemon, and their union resulted in her. However, they were also forced apart. She was completely in the dark about this until she came of age, with the only thing setting her apart being the ability to sense intentions based on colors on the wind. She was raised in a powerful, noble family, which turned out to be made up of other Angelus and Daemons and an individual who would be one of her teachers at the Celestia Academy. Because as a half-breed, her magic is also special and strong, and she must attend the school for a year. If she attends and becomes the best, she can have a wish granted.
Given the type of otome game Celestia: Chain of Fate is, Agate doesn't shy away from quickly making Aria the center of attention and drama. Immediately after her adopted brother/future teacher Damien takes her to a secret train station to board the magical train to the otherworldly academy, she gets the opportunity to interfere in the assassination attempt on the human prince Ash's mother. When she leaves the train and arrives, before she can even get to school, she ends up involved with an attack that also provides an opportunity to meet the romanceable Angelus Luke and Daemon Val as the two of them work alongside Ash to mitigate the damage.
I think I'd be a bit more forgiving of Celestia: Chain of Fate's tendencies if it didn't suffer from a few fatal flaws. For example, the game is very big on telling, not showing. After knowing Val for a total of five minutes and seeing one example of him handling an altercation and dangerous situation well, you're fawning over him and calling him "awesome" repeatedly. Compliments in either direction end up feeling a bit hollow. Characters aren't too well developed, with things that should be reveals Agate leads up to being tossed out. The localization also features a lot of awkwardly phrased sentences, which hurt the immersion. Phrases like "Besides, if you manage to become the best graduate of the academy, they will grant you one wish" and "As soon as the staff's words were heard, my surroundings became noisy" are prime examples. The generic nature of the love interests, translation, copying of elements from other magical academy works, and fact that Aria can suddenly feel like one of the most important people in the world all kept me from really connecting with things. By the end, I liked Val enough, but didn't feel like I needed to go back to pursue the others like in other otome games.
The one thing I found really unique is the degree of bad ends you can encounter in Celestia: Chain of Fate. In the introductory moments, you can even trigger one via certain choices. It surprised me a bit, given the general tone doesn't feel that dark. That sort of thing feels like it'd be more at home in otome games like Piofioreor Virche Evermore. It's fine, and just means taking a bit more time to save before decisions.
I also encountered two times in which the game froze after story events involving major transitions in the story. Both happened fairly early on. One was after the altercation upon leaving the train where Aria got involved in seeing Ash, Luke, and Val respond to a hostile attack. The other happened after a scene with Aria and Val recovering a notable woman in town's missing pet. In each case, I'd saved fairly recently before the instances, and the game didn't freeze after reloading. Still, it might be something to be aware of as you play. These were minor hiccups that didn't come up again after those initial incidents, so you may not even experience any issues.
Also, Celestia: Chain of Fate is lacking some common otome game quality of life elements. I couldn't figure out how to see the backlog for conversations, to see story segments I'd missed. Checking the relationship values to see if you're on the right route doesn't give you the clearest answers. There also aren't the obvious visual or audio cue options to let you know how your choices are received. There are unlockable side stories, however, which appear as you get through the chapters, which is a pleasant option.
Celestia: Chain of Fate is an okay enough otome game for those in search of a game with Harry Potter-like academy, magic, angels, and demons. However, it doesn't really do much to stand out otherwise. The character designs aren't as striking as those in its contemporaries, there is awkward phrasing in the script, the story involves some common situations and tropes, and there are certain absent quality of life features.
Celestia: Chain of Fate will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC on September 12, 2024.

Square Enix announced that it will bring the Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts figure of Tifa Lockhart, which is based on her original PSX FFVII appearance, to the US again in October 2024. The figure reappeared in Japan back in July 2024.
This time around, the figure costs $119.99. It is a fully-articulated one, like others in the Bring Arts line. People get two face plates with it and multiple hand parts so she can be posed to look like she is in the midst of a fight or more relaxed.
Square Enix also shared a gallery of images with us again, some of them even recreating certain poses from the game or pieces of key art. Her hands all are equipped with the Leather Gloves that are her default, starting weapon in the series.
It's been quite a while since we've seen this version of of the Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts Tifa figure. It originally debuted in 2023. The thing about the initial release is that it included an NFT with it. (The same happened with similar ones of Aerith Gainsborough and Cloud Strife.) However, both the new waves of these designs don't include the NFTs.
The Final Fantasy VII Tifa Bring Arts figure will return to the US in October 2024, following a Japanese rerelease in July 2024. You can find the original game on the PlayStation, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Rebirth is on the PS5.
