Two new Ark Survival Ascended expansions just dropped, but there's a snag

This was meant to be the year of Ark 2, but it wasn't to be. Well, there are still 11 days left of the year at the time of writing, but even the most optimistic of Ark fans will know that the survival game sequel won't be dropping this year as intended. Ark Survival Ascended, however, keeps trucking on, and another double dose of DLC has just landed in the remaster. However, not everyone can play it yet due to some complications on certain platforms.

yu-gi-oh pompompurin cinnamoroll plushes

Plush toys of Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin cosplaying as Yu-Gi-Oh monsters are in production. More information on the two will appear later.

The Yu-Gi-Oh OCG channel announced the Yu-GI-Oh Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin plushes during Jump Festa 2025. These plushes use the same combos as the McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Cinnamoroll is wearing a Blue Eyes White Dragon outfit. Meanwhile, Pompompurin looks like Exodia. We still don't know much about these dolls. More information on their sizes, price, and release window will appear in the future.

McDonald's held a collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh and Sanrio earlier in 2024 worldwide in its Happy Meals. You could get little toys of various Sanrio mascots cosplaying as monsters from Duel Monsters. Aside from Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin, we also saw Chococat as the Winged Dragon of Ra, Keroppi as Kuriboh, and My Melody as Dark Magician Girl. If the Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin plushes do well, these other ones may appear in the future.

A lot of news for the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise appeared on December 20, 2024. Aside from the Sanrio mascot plushes, Studio Gallop also announced a remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh GX for the 20th anniversary of the show. Megahouse also revealed several figures, such as one of Silent Magician and one of Yubel. An official Yu-Gi-Oh anime focusing on the card lore will also start airing next year on a monthly basis. You'll be able to watch it on YouTube.

yu-gi-oh gx remastered

A remastered version of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX anime will start airing in April 2025. This is to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the show.

The original show lasted for three years, which means that the remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh GX should end in 2028. It's unknown if the studio plans to release a remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's after that. KENN commented that he's been able to spend half his life playing Judai thanks to everyone's support, and the more experience he gains as an actor, the more he realizes how amazing the staff and cast were at the time.

Studio Gallop has released the cast for Judai, Asuka, Sho, Manjoume, and Ed. All of these characters will retain their original Japanese voice actors. This includes Taiki Matsuno, who voiced Manjoume. Matsuno passed away in July 2024.

Yu-Gi-Oh GX is the direct sequel to the original Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters. It follows Judai Yuki, a new student at the Duel Academia, which Kaiba from the first show founded. The story starts with Judai's adventures at the school, interspersed with the occasional villain attack or magical threat. However, the show has a tonal shift in its final season.

The remastered version of Yu-Gi-Oh GX will start airing in Japan in April 2025. You can watch the original version on Crunchyroll.

The key visual for this collaboration shows Ayumi Hamasaki doing the classic "In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" from Sailor Moon. Meanwhile, Usagi is doing the "Bye-Bye" pose. Speaking of "Bye-Bye," the outfit that they're both wearing is the school uniform-like fit that Hamasaki wears for "Bye-Bye," which is a single that came out in April 2024.

You can purchase exclusive items for the Ayumi Hamasaki and Sailor Moon collaboration via online storefronts. These items first appeared on September 20, 2024. gon-san hunter x hunter pen figure

Banpresto will release a pen of Gon-san from Hunter x Hunter, which can also double as a pen. This figure will appear as a prize in Banpresto crane gane machines in June 2025.

The Hunter x Hunter Gon-san pen figure stands at 60 centimeters long. You'll need to uncap the hair part to use as a pen. Obviously, there's a chance the pen can run out of ink. If that happens, though, the pen can still double as a figure to display around the house. It might be possible to open up the pen somehow and give it more ink, though. Pictures on the Banpresto website show the pen figure in action, and the length makes it look hard to use.

Gon-san is the fan nickname for Gon after he unleashes all his power when fighting against Pitou. During this fight, his body undergoes a massive change. He transforms into an adult, and his signature spiky hair becomes incredibly long; in the manga, Togashi even uses his hair to create the panels. Fans call him "Gon-san" as a way to show respect to him. While the scene in which Gon transforms into Gon-san is a pretty gruesome one, he looks surreal enough and his appearance was shocking enough that he also occupies a meme position in the fandom.

The Hunter x Hunter Gon-san pen figure will appear in Japan in June 2025. You can watch Hunter x Hunter on streaming services like Netflix and Crunchyroll.
