75,000 steps. That’s how many I took trying to consume the beast that is CES 2025, according to my Apple Watch. Of course, I wasn't alone – Team TechRadar spread to every corner of the Las Vegas-based technology show to bring you all the news, product reveals, celebrity appearances, and the sometimes oddball technology that makes CES what it is.
For the TL;DR crowd, we’ve condensed the countless product unveilings into a top 25 list that brings together everything from Nvidia’s latest GeForce graphics cards to a sock-collecting robot vacuum.
For me, though, the theme of the show was AI. Sure, we talked about it last year, but CES marks the consumer AI inflection point we’ve been waiting for. Every tech sector not only embraced the generative revolution, but showed consumers how AI will transform their products and their everyday lives. BMW will put it in cars, Delta will put it in planes, and – I kid you not – Samsung will put it in boats. It’s exciting, and inevitable.
Of course, if you ask our Entertainment Managing Editor Matt Bolton, he’ll tell you the real story was TVs and home theater. From Will.I.Am bringing the beautiful noise, to Hisense redefining how microLED displays colors, big changes are coming to your home entertainment experience this year.
Speaking of entertainment, I did get a chance to try the new Lenovo Legion Go S, the first non-Valve-made SteamOS-based handheld. It’s fast, it has a big screen, and it might make a mobile gamer out of me yet.
I also got my robot fix at the show, and they came in all shapes and sizes. There was a tiny Mirumi bot that hung on your bag like an anxious child, and multiple humanoid robots, some of which shook my hand, and others that looked me in the eye and had me questioning our humanity.
The week's news wasn't all centered on Vegas, though. Samsung finally made its next Unpacked event official, and it’ll unveil its new line of Galaxy phones in San Jose, California, on January 22. I’ll be out there covering that event too… as soon as my feet recover. In the meantime, I’ll rest up and watch some of the shows on our latest list of streaming recommendations this weekend – Goosebumps: The Vanishing actually looks pretty good.
