PCGamesN Sunday, June 29, 2025 7:38 AM Ambitious MMORPG Ashes of Creation is gearing up for the next stage of its ongoing alpha test, and there's a lot to look forward to. In a new development livestream, Intrepid Studios reveals a big chunk of what we can expect to see in the Ashes of Creation Alpha 2 Phase 3 launch in August. The early preview gives us a glimpse of two more playable races, the elven Py'Rai and dwarfen Nicua, along with a look at the multiplayer game's second starting region, The Anvils. There's also details on a big crafting update, the ability to reach the town stage of Node development, and improvements for guilds and PvP. PCGamesN Sunday, June 29, 2025 6:18 AM The first time I ever played Voin, I was instantly hooked. The first-person dark fantasy RPG deftly blends Dark Souls and Doom into something completely new, and is well worth playing if you haven't yet. On the one hand, Voin's got the methodical swordplay and exploration of Fromsoftware's best. On the other, it has id's fast-paced, brutal, and blood-pumping action that refuses to ever slow down. I adore Voin because it manages to jump between these states of being on the fly, turning it into a game unlike any other. Now, its next major update is here alongside a sale, making it the ideal time to dive in. MORE FROM PCGAMESN: Best RPG games, Best open-world games, Best fantasy games |
PCGamesN Sunday, June 29, 2025 5:42 AM I've really enjoyed Path of Exile 2 so far, regardless of its early-access ups and downs, and the new PoE season has been a welcome chance to return to its iconic predecessor. Diablo 4 Season 9 is about to start next week, too, but I'm already looking ahead. My favorite ARPG right now has just announced its return, as Eleventh Hour Games confirms the Last Epoch Season 3 release date, and I'm particularly pleased by the promise of some prehistoric predicaments. PCGamesN Sunday, June 29, 2025 5:19 AM I've started to consider multiplayer spinoffs from story-driven games a recession marker. This is, admittedly, not a political science endorsed by world economists. Instead, it's predicated on my memories of that time. Occupy Wall Street. Recession pop. Shrinkflation. Tacked-on multiplayer. We've been teetering on the brink of a global recession for what feels like forever, so perhaps the emergence of multiplayer games like FBC Firebreak and Elden Ring Nightreign is inevitable. Continue reading FBC Firebreak is dead on arrival, but it didn't have to be this way MORE FROM PCGAMESN: Best co-op games, Best FPS games, Best Game Pass games |
