Welcome to the Week in Review
Welcome
Where I live (in the US), it’s the official first day of summer and the longest day of the year, a perfect time for cozying up with the new Nintendo Switch 2, which, if you go by Rhys Wood’s in-depth review (which I do), has been well worth the wait and the drama.

It has all the power and screen brilliance you want in a beautiful, lightweight form factor. Sure, battery life is poor and there are almost no new games, but Switch stalwarts are unlikely to care.

In this mode of leaning back and taking it all in, you may have noticed a fair bit more introspection on our part. Team TechRadar has been taking a closer look at the technologies, products, services, and activities you love, and revealing surprising things about them – and ourselves.

Take, for example, Matt Evans' revelations about his new workout and getting ‘ripped’ with the help of new wearables. Or Phil Berne’s extensive testing in order to discover which smartphone screen offers the best viewfinder in the brightest sunlight.

When we test AI, it’s against our own needs, and we’re learning that, yes, that chatbot can help you plan a better vacation – although we’re still a little bit wary of AI’s potential.

Even as the sun summons us outdoors to test gadgets in the best conditions, fresh streaming content is magnetizing our couch. So, sure, I’ll be watching A Minecraft Movie this weekend, but, as I told you last week, all I really care about is the new Superman movie (coming July 11), and every little tease director James Gunn keeps dropping – they’re like kibble for Krypto.
