The eight-core Intel Core Ultra 7 254V processor, fitted with an integrated Intel Arc Battlemage GPU, could prove to be an entry-level option for Steam Deck rivals and budget gaming laptops, based on the results we've seen so far. Unlike some other Intel CPUs in the last few months, Intel Lunar Lake has shown genuine promise on laptops and handhelds. These power-efficient CPUs aren't heavy on raw power, but they do offer performance that can compete with similar AMD chips, especially on handhelds. Just a few days ago, an MSI handheld benchmark leak showed the potential of the Intel Core Ultra 7 285V on the MSI Claw 8 AI+, and it wouldn't be surprising to see models in our best handheld guide running Lunar Lake chips in the near future. One of my mom's all-time favorite detectives, I've seen every iteration of every story, from Peter Ustinov to Kenneth Branagh, and everyone that came before. It's also hardly a shock, then, that Microids' upcoming Death on the Nile is an absolute must-play for me; I maintain that LA Noire is the best game ever made, and I sank hours into Nobody Wants to Die not too long ago - detective games are my thing. Reimagining Agatha Christie's classic story in virtual form and transporting it to the '70s, things look a little more groovy than I remember, but I'm kind of obsessed. Skibidi Toilet, in case you've been living somewhere free from the influence of vertically-framed surrealism, is a long-running series of 3D animations by YouTuber Alexey 'DaFuq!?Boom!' Gerasimov. It generally conveys the tale of a great war between a legion of heads protruding from loos and an army of folks with cameras for heads, with help from Half-Life 2 assets and inspiration from the annals of Garry's Mod machinima. Any 12 year olds you know probably can't get enough of it. Or think it's lame because they've already moved on to the next thing. |

These days, you can't even give a platform character a woolly hat without first devising an in-game textile industry with appropriate supply chains, and a whole supporting cast of millworkers with names like Arthur Worsted and Jimmy Shuttlecock. I prefer the disconnectedness of Psycutlery, in which you fight using a telekinetic spork, buy things with frogspawn, heal by eating toothpaste, and checkpoint progress by carving blocks of stone into statues of yourself, using the spork. The in-game reasoning for all this is basically "because developer Luke Tarlowe has the imagination of a Picasso and the attention span of a goldfish". Don't call it CRAZY. Call it refreshingly uninhibited and also, reminiscent of, Decap Attack and Ristar. Also, call it free. |

For those who aren't keen on the patch's changes, which particularly transforms the challenge you'll face in the game's fourth region, there's now a mod dedicated to undoing them by letting you roll back to a previous version. For a more in-depth view of the changes patch 1.5 made and what they mean for the game, it's well worth reading our Jeremy's story on it from last week. The short version is that a number of big foes associated with the Ming dynasty have been made to fall down in exhaustion when you defeat them, rather than being killed. As you might imagine, this has implications not just in terms of the minute-to-minute experience of playing Wuchang, but also the story it tells. |

Nintendo announced another Direct presentation for August 2025, and this one is focused completely on Kirby Air Riders and its gameplay. This is the new game in the Kirby Air Ride series. It will air at 6am PT/9am ET on August 19, 2025, and it will only focus on the new game.
This comes after Masahiro Sakurai announced we would be seeing more of Kirby Air Riders, as he took to social media on Sora's 20th anniversary to suggest we'd see gameplay soon and apparently tease this Nintendo Direct. Now that Nintendo confirmed the showcase, he posted again to tease details about it. This time, he shared the Japanese and English social media accounts.
This new Kirby Air Ride game first appeared during the April 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. It's a racing type of game involving Kirby on stars and other types of vehicles. The first spin-off appeared on the GameCube worldwide. This showcase will last for 45 minutes. Hopefully, we'll see some Kirby Air Riders gameplay, as the original featured three modes. One of which was City Trial, which involved going around a city to get ready for a race.
The last Nintendo Direct dedicated to a single game featured Donkey Kong Bananza. It's how we learned Pauline would be DK's sidekick in the title.
Kirby Air Riders will come to the Switch 2, and the Nintendo Direct dedicated to it will air at 6am PT/9am ET on August 19, 2025.

Primaniacs revealed that it will run a new Gundam Series Fragrance Shop in Diver City Tokyo Plaza temporarily in late September 2025. It will sell numerous perfumes based on characters from multiple Gundam titles, with Iron-Blooded Orphans and GQuuuuuuX newly joining the list in 2025.
The brand has previously released perfumes based on characters from The Witch From Mercury in 2023. It also revealed more perfumes themed after Gundam Wing and SEED Freedom sometime in between. With the new additions of Iron-Blooded Orphans and GQuuuuuuX, there will be a total of 37 character perfumes available.
All 37 perfumes will have the same tax-inclusive individual price tag of 7,920 yen (~$53.75). Each bottle will come with a perfumed card featuring the same character. Primaniacs will also sell stickers based on each perfume bottle at 880 yen (~$5.99) apiece exclusively at the pop-up store.

Madden 26 offers complete licensed teams and lineups from the world of the NFL, but you can tweak things to your liking by using custom rosters.
Whether you want to try out the draft batch of 2026 first or create an alternate timeline of superstars from past and present, everything is possible with the use of custom squads. You can download and use these squads for free. However, you can also create your own custom squads to use and share with the community.
How to create custom rosters in Madden 26?
Before we begin, I would like to make it clear that this guide isn't about the Teambuilder website. The Teambuilder allows you to create a full-fledged customized team with its own squad, kits, and more. This guide is more for those who want to enjoy customized rosters that are different from the official ones.
It's not necessary to create your own custom rosters, as you can also use ones created by the community.
How to use custom rosters in Madden 26?
To use custom rosters made by other players, you'll have to go to the Download Center.
From the Download Center, choose the first option. This will show a host of custom files created and uploaded by other players. This includes custom squads, altered playbooks, and more. You can preview a squad before downloading it, which will then appear in the downloads section.
From there, the process is pretty much the same. Using custom squads can be a lot of fun, especially if you don't want to wait for EA to roll out all their automated squad updates. You can apply better ratings, update real-life trades quicker, and also use future draft classes yet to happen in real life.

Things are about to get quite emotional in Disney Dreamlight Valley as the Inside Out-themed Emotional Rescue update introduces some fresh content from these films. There are plenty of new additions packed in this one, so you may want to review the patch notes to learn everything there is to find.
Some of the fresh content featured in this update is fairly obvious and tough to miss, but there are plenty of smaller aspects you might not know about, too. Two new Inside Out characters
Two of the most iconic emotions from Inside Out are arriving with this update. This includes Joy and Sadness. These characters are bringing with them plenty of new quests and rewards you can unlock by befriending them. Some teasers for these quests include assisting Joy in "solving the Valley's mood swings" and helping Sadness "fix a rainy day."
Inside Out Realm
A fresh new Realm themed around Inside Out is arriving with this update. You'll venture to the headquarters to assist Joy and Sadness with creating an epic Dream Production to inspire Riley for an upcoming talent show she's participating in.
Retro Roadtrip Star Path
The Retro Roadtrip Star Path event begins with this update. A teaser video highlighting many of the items it includes was shared on X (formerly Twitter). Some of the most exciting additions are a massive drive-in movie screen, car couches, concession stands, retro outfits, Dream Styles for Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, a Cozy Cone house, and a new Fox Companion.
Rerun event
The Inside Out-themed Memory Mania event will return for the first time on Sept. 3, offering players who missed out last year a chance to earn the exclusive emotion Companions featured in it. There's new content in it, too, for those who have already tackled it, including a Nostalgia Capybara. This event will run from Sept. 3 to 16.
Other additions
Outside of all the flashy new features, there are also many smaller ones to look forward to.
Changes
There are also many changes featured in this update, all of which are designed to make your overall gaming experience better. The Emotional Rescue update has some of the biggest changes we've gotten in a while, so make sure you're aware of them before jumping in.

The road to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships 2026 is now open, and Pokémon XP will be taking place alongside the main celebrations.
Here's the catch: Nintendo and The Pokémon Company haven't explicitly revealed what Pokémon XP will be. We received a trailer on Aug. 17, which served as an official announcement for the fans. Based on the information we have from the official sources, Pokémon XP will be a parallel event that will cater to the more casual Pokémon fans.
How will Pokémon XP operate?
The Worlds is the competitive side of everything Pokémon. If you have tuned into the 2025 Championships during the weekend, you would know what to expect. Players from all over the world come together to vie for glory. There are different categories based on various games, like Pokémon Go, as the elite trainers try to outwit and outbattle one another.
Naturally, the Worlds is solely focused on the more competitive side, with the events themed accordingly. Pokémon XP, on the other hand, is likely going to be a fun event where you can enjoy the Pokémon franchise without going too deep. For example, here's a brief snippet of information from the official explainer.
The last sentence gives us a clear idea of what we can expect from the XP event when the World Championships go live next year. Pokémon XP is set to be the first event of its kind, featuring multi-day passes for those wishing to visit on different days. The bookings will start from Sept. 17, and more information will be shared here.

A fresh week has arrived, folks, so it's once again time to discuss what we've been watching lately and ask you to share the same. This week, it's time to tune into some gruesomely good stories you can find over on Netflix.
I just finished watching the released portion of the second season of Wednesday, and also rewatched the final season of You with my brother. These two series follow dark, thrilling, and highly engaging storylines, and I think they're some of the best shows you can check out on Netflix.
The first half of Wednesday season two dropped on Aug. 6, with the second section slated for release on Sept. 3, so we only have part of the overall story so far, but I've already been thoroughly enjoying it. This season has put the entire Addams family more in the spotlight, and it's a welcome change getting to see even more of Wednesday interacting with Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, Thing, Uncle Fester, and the rest.
All of the new faces featured in this season are massive wins too, especially Principal Barry Dort, played by Steve Buscemi, and Wednesday's number one fan, Agnes DeMille, played by Evie Templeton. We've also got Lady Gaga to look forward to in the second half, and I'm pretty stoked to see what role she ends up playing.
The first half of season two is incredibly action-packed, with a dangerous zombie on the loose, a murderous Avian watching Wednesday's every move, a terrifying vision of Enid's death driving a psychic mystery, and the threat of Tyler the Hyde still looming large despite him being stuck behind bars for most of the action. Amidst all of the chaos, family and friendship take center stage, giving this thrilling show some real heart.
So far, my only real complaint is the lack of interactions between Wednesday and Enid. Enid herself is complaining about the exact same thing, and it's a key part of the storyline since Wednesday is keeping her at a distance to try to stop her vision of Enid dying from coming true, so it makes sense for the storyline. It's still frustrating, though, as I was really looking forward to seeing more of their friendship shine after they officially became allies near the end of the first season.
This show thrives best when these two are the focal point, and so far, Enid has felt mostly sidelined. The final part of the first batch of episodes might hint that this will change soon, though, as Enid finally joined Wednesday on one of her investigations. So far, it's been a wildly entertaining ride, and I'm counting down the days until part two drops. I'm sure I'll also have more to say once it does, so stay tuned for that.
Funnily enough, Jenna Ortega, the actress behind the titular Wednesday, is one of the key pieces missing from the final season of You. I'm mostly satisfied with Joe Goldberg's ending, but Ortega's Ellie not making a return remains one of my biggest complaints, especially when we got so many other cameos from past characters who were wronged by him.
One of the best parts of You's killer final season was witnessing many of the women Joe tormented coming together to finally exact justice against him. Kate, Marienne, and Nadia's team-up was a big highlight of the season, but it would have been so much better with Ortega's Ellie there, too.
This ties into my larger complaint that it felt like the finale kind of ignored seasons two and three. Admittedly, the cameos from Sherry and Cary were perfect, and it was also nice to see Love and Forty's mom chime in, but otherwise, Love and Candace were essentially missing from all discussions of Joe's past. Ortega's Ellie comes from around the same time in the show, and although Love and Candace are dead, having her return would've ensured their presence was still felt.
It's mostly a small complaint in the grand scheme of the season, which I otherwise feel was a massive success. The new characters brought in for the finale, especially twins Maddie and Reagan, played by Anna Camp, and Teddy, played by Griffin Matthews, really stole the show. Joe finally ending up behind bars was extremely satisfying, and his fourth wall-breaking callout right at the end was utterly perfect. If you haven't watched You yet, all five seasons are truly phenomenal, the ending is extremely satisfying, and I highly recommend tuning in.

When Disney first announced it, I thought nobody would care about the Master and Commander: The Far Side Of The World's release in 4K UltraHD Blu-ray — or at least not any more than they do about any physical release these days. I was dead wrong.
According to 404 Media, all copies flew off the shelves, as did all attempts at restocking, thus forcing the fans who did not wisely foresee the treachery of high-seas scalpers to shell out big bucks on eBay to get their hands on this sublime bounty.
Master and Commander: The Far Side Of The World, the rare movie that's good enough to do well at the box office, earn rave reviews, Oscars, and still go down in history merely as a "cult classic", is a phenomenon worth looking into when talking about physical media's supposed writing on the wall.
Is Master and Commander's triumphant return the tide change that will make HD-BluRay the new Vinyl? Not just yet, but there are many lessons to be learned here, should studios want that to be the case in the future.
Physical media needs to play to its strengths to stay alive
Seeing movies via streaming is easier, yes, but not even the best HD TV will provide the same level of immersion afforded by a disc. No matter how much Netflix boasts about a totally real HD experience — or how expensive one's TV is — the tradeoff with streaming will always cost viewers some image and sound quality, especially when compared to a high-end HD release.
Sure, not every movie can enjoy such success upon re-release. Nor does every movie feature the kind of scope that'll make it pop visually the same way that Master and Commander does to warrant spending $50 on a new release. Still, it's the type of film that stands to shine with this kind of release and get the deserved treatment.
Releasing a bad product will invariably harm physical media's campaign for survival more than not releasing anything at all.
In 2024, James Cameron infamously came to the defense of the recent Aliens and True Lies 4K HD "restorations", which employed AI to upscale the beloved classics into something that looked straight out of a '90s video game cutscene. His move angered many, as the visionary who was once capable of visuals no one even dared imagine possible was now selling slop that couldn't even attract the most average consumer.
On top of the unmatched looks, these new releases should focus on delivering extras unavailable on streaming platforms. The people behind the John Wick series recently released Wick Is Pain, a documentary on the spectacularly troubled production of the entire John Wick series. It's fantastic, and definitely something that should've been released alongside a series box set.
Streaming is easier, but it's never better, and we do know a lot of people out there are still looking to squeeze the best experience they can get out of their expensive home theater systems.
Why was Master and Commander even a hit in the first place?
Military enthusiasts have been hyping the film among peers ever since its '03 release, thus earning Master and Commander lots of mainstream-eluding traction. Still, this was never a flop to begin with.
Perhaps Gladiator left Russell Crowe fans wanting for another period epic starring the only man capable of bringing Maximus to life. Maybe Master and Commander owes a bit of its success to riding the coattails of Johnny Depp's once very popular Pirates Of The Caribbean series, which broke the critical and commercial curse of movies set on water, whether or not they featured pirates. Or, maybe, underneath its spectacular setpieces, Master and Commander managed to capture the hearts and attention of thousands with a surprisingly touching tale of male friendship and camaraderie that Hollywood is yet to recapture.
Should you find a way to watch Master and Commander for the first time, give this 4K release a go. If you're already familiar with the film, then I don't think I need to explain why.

Enchanting pans in Prospecting is accessible quite early (near the starting area) and it's all about getting Aurorite and Aetherite aka the enchanting material. Best Prospecting Enchants Tier List
The best enchants in Prospecting are Prismatic, Cosmic and Divine (Check all Enchant effects below). Overall Shake speed and Shake strength are the best stats to speed up grinding so Enchants like Cosmic, Prismatic and Destructive work really well. The secondary best effects are Luck for getting rarer Minerals/Ores so Divine and Infernal work really well and also Sell Boosts for getting more cash. As for Luck, each point of Luck rerolls your chances for a higher quality Mineral keeping the best result. So the more Luck you have the more chances at rolling higher rarity Minerals.
All Enchants in Prospecting Listed
Below you'll find all the possible pan enchants in Prospecting along with their roll chances and effects. Note that enchanting the pan again will just reroll your enchant. Enchant rerolls use another Aurorite or Aetherite. All in all, it's always better to think ahead and farm for a better pan then to enchant the ones from the starting area. Note that Aetherite will allow you to get Divine and Cosmic and it will also exclude the weaker enchants from the possible results.
