Are the New Skullpanda You Found Me Plush Pendants Worth the Money Pranky Peanut

There ended up being a substantial price jump between the old Pop Mart Skullpanda You Found Me plush pendant keychains and the older styles. As in originally they listed for $46.99 ahead of launch, then the company dropped it to $39.99 just before their debut. To compare, the Winter Symphony ones from 2024 and L'impressionnisme ones from earlier in 2025 are $30.99 and $32.99 each. I bought one for myself and got to investigate one a friend got when she also purchased a box. Is the jump in price worth it? I think it depends on which one you get, since 6 out of the 10 feel like you are getting a more detailed plush due to the accessories, build, and "outfit" than with past entries. But then, we're only looking at the Skullpanda Pranky Peanut and Ratty Bear options firsthand to decide.

My sample size for this investigation ended up involving the Pranky Peanut and Ratty Bear Skullpanda You Found Me plush doll pendants, though the store I purchased the blind box from did have all not-secret characters on display and able to be touched and investigated. Both of these involved the same face plate, which have been around since the Winter Symphony line. Previous characters who used it are Rock On, Partita, and Ode to Cocoa, and the Cerberus character in this collection also uses it. In the case of Pranky Peanut it feels especially egregious, since all three of the Winter Symphony characters who used that face plate also had red hair. It's a bit disappointing, since only two characters in You Found Me use an entirely new one (Sandman and Buddy Doggie). However, I do appreciate the color scheme for the Ratty Bear one that ended up in my box, as the hair shading is lovely and makeup feels unique.

Both characters also feature unusual and new eye options. Pranky Peanut has small peanuts replacing her pupils. Meanwhile, Ratty Bear has one lavender eye and another darker purple with a spiral in it. I haven't seen a Skullpanda with heterochromia before, so I was psyched about it. Especially since it suited her motif well! In the case of Ratty Bear, I feel like all the extra options add up, but with Pranky Peanut I do feel like a different hair color scheme, at bare minimum, would have been needed to make it feel more unusual.

The main difference in these new Skullpanda You Found Me plush doll pendants that makes me lean toward them being worth the price jump is their "outfits." I feel like Pop Mart didn't do a good enough job of explaining the changes here compared to the previous two lines. In the past, I've gotten a Dew from the L'impressionnisme series and a Song of Snow from Winter Symphony. Both of their "accessories" don't feel all that elaborate. Dew's is a small elastic color made up of two types of fabric. Song of Snow's scarf is more substantial, especially with the embroidery. After seeing the Pranky Peanut and Ratty Bear Skullpanda plush, both feel more elaborate.

In the case of the Ratty Bear Skullpanda that I got, there's so much to her. There are two full extra ears on her head that also feel like I can pose them to some degree. Her outfit has ribbon cord threaded on it, two extra buttons, and about three types of fabric sewn together. This is in addition to the three types of fur used for her body. There's a lot to her, and it is all on-theme. I haven't ever purchased any outfits for these characters, but I did see some at a local flea market vendor two weeks ago. That person was selling extra outfits starting at $10, so I could see reasoning for Ratty Bear being that much.

While I do feel the reuse of the Pranky Peanut face is lazy, especially since it is returning to a familiar color scheme, I honestly love the theme and outfit. It's bundled up and executed in such a way that it feels like the character is wearing a huge coat with hood. The nature of the fabric makes it feel like a peanut shell, in terms of texture. The small peanut button on the front is a fun touch too. The downside is, while I could remove the Ratty Bear's outfit, that didn't seem possible with this character.

The thing about the others is it seems like five others have enough unique elements to make them also possibly worthwhile, if a person likes their design enough. While Sandman only has a scarf accessory, that is one of the two new characters with a new face plate. It's also one of only two Skullpanda plush pendants total with a darker skin tone, which is a perk. Both the Buddy Doggie and Chomp characters feature a full dress/collar outfit and an additional "pet" accessory attached to them by a leash. That's never been done in the series before. Cerberus and Ghostie both have large outfits and cat's eye effect eyes that set them apart. Darkness, Moldy Muffin, and Sneaky Chestnut might be harder sells, due to repeated face plates, not having extensive outfits that are all that different or more elaborate than past series, and Moldy Cupcake featuring some repeated color scheme and design elements.

I do think that some of these new Skullpanda You Found Me plush doll pendants could actually be worth the full $39.99 price. If you got one like Ratty Bear, Buddy Doggie, Chomp, Ghostie, Sandman, or Cerberus, you're getting a character with a substantial outfits or an element like a new face plate or full additional plush accessory. With a Pranky Peanut, Darkness, Moldy Muffin, and Sneaky Chestnut Skullpanda, you are getting ones that repeat color schemes from past face plates or characters or may not have an outfit that is remarkable and detailed enough to make a full $8-10 worth it. This could be one of those series where someone would be better served buying an already opened one from someone else to ensure you're getting a design you really want or that is elaborate enough.

The Skullpanda You Found Me plush doll pendants are available via Pop Mart now.
