Resident Evil Requiem amiibo and Switch 2 Controller Announced

Capcom shared a ton of Resident Evil Requiem news, and announcements included a pre-order details, a Deluxe Edition update, and confirmation that the Switch 2 version will be accompanied by an amiibo of Grace Ashcroft and a themed $99.99 controller. There will also be an $89.99 Switch 2 Resident Evil Generation Pack that features Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition, Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and Requiem, though the physical copies of that will be game key cards. That three-game bundle will only be available until March 31, 2026, according to the official site. A showcase will also air in "early 2026" with more news.

While we do know how the Switch 2 Pro Controller looks, we don't know details about the Resident Evil Requiem amiibo. Capcom confirmed it will be of the new heroine Grace. It also shared it will launch after the game in Spring 2026. Meanwhile, the Pro Controller will be out on launch day. It will be black and look like there's a newspaper print on the background. The words "Resident Evil" will be behind the logo for the console.

As for the pre-order and Deluxe Edition, that will be available for all Resident Evil Requiem versions. Anyone who pre-orders gets an Apocalypse costume for Grace. The Deluxe Edition includes cosmetics and other additions. Five costumes will be present, with one being a Lady Dimitrescu one for Grace. There will be four weapon skins, with one being an S&S M232 Apocalypse one that matches the pre-order costume. There will be two filters, with one being called Apocalypse. We also get two charms (one is Mr. Raccoon.) A Raccoon City Classic Audio Pack and Letters from 1998 files round things out.

Here are images showing everything off.

Here's the full Resident Evil: Road to Requiem announcement video:

Resident Evil Requiem will come to the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store on February 27, 2026. Resident Evil Generation Pack, with the seventh, eighth, and ninth games, will be available for the Switch 2 from February 27, 2026 to March 31, 2026.

Promo image for Mega Rising expansion in Pokemon TCG Pocket

The Mega Rising expansion introduces three different packs in the Pokémon TCG Pocket, and there are some amazing cards available among them.

The theme of this expansion is Mega Evolution, which is available in the game for the first time. Once again, you'll have to prioritize which pack you want to open first, and this will largely depend on the cards you want to add to your collection.

To make your choice simpler, this guide will list the best possible cards that you can find in the game.

Best cards in the Pokémon TCG Pocket Mega Rising expansion

Before I deep dive into the best cards, do note that this isn't a ranked list. I have included what I believe are some of the top cards available as part of this expansion.

Sitrus Berry

The Sitrus Berry can be a big difference maker when it comes to your Pokémon getting knocked out. The card heals 30 HP at the end of every turn if the equipped Pokémon has less than half its health remaining. This can be a handy item during the start of a battle.

Indeede ex

Indeede ex is one of the best team cards to have in your deck. Its ability heals 20 HP of your active Pokémon each turn. While Psychic+ does 30 damage for 2 energy, it does 30 more damage for each energy on your opponent's active Pokémon. Hence, it can hit your opposition's Mega/ex Pokémon pretty hard and knock them out as long as they're not at full health.

Mega Gyarados ex

My only complaint with Gyarados ex is the randomness associated with its attack. While Mega Blaster does 140 damage, it takes a lot of time to set up (due to its four energy cost). However, it will discard the top three cards of your opponent's deck. If not taken down early, it could force your opponent to run out of cards. This card is for those who love to play tempo decks and control the momentum of the battle.

Mega Blaziken ex

While Blaziken ex doesn't hit as hard as Gyarados, you can do 120 damage for a 2-cost attack. You can choose to discard one energy and inflict burn on the opponent's Pokémon. It's a pretty sweet card to include in your Fire-themed decks. The only gripe is the constant discard of energy if you want to inflict burn on your enemies.

Mega Altaria ex

Mega Altaria ex is the safest choice by far, and its Mega Harmony effect is quite fun. While the base damage is merely 40 HP, it does +30 damage for each of the opponent's bench Pokémon. Naturally, it forces the opponent to keep the bench light (but that will slow down their ability to build up the bench properly). The attack can do 220 damage at full capacity, which can one-hit almost any card in the game.

Players celebrating in FC 26

Season 2 is coming soon to FC 26 Ultimate Team, and we should soon have a new set of rewards to grind.

As of writing, we still have over two and a half days left for Season 1 to be over. This is your last chance to complete the season pass to unlock special cards and more. This guide will help you jump right in as soon as the new season goes live.

FC 26 Season 2 release countdown

We have known the release date and time for Season 2 for quite some time (thanks to Season 1). Season 2 goes live on Thursday, Oct. 30, and it goes live at the following timings.

  • PT 1am
  • CT 3am
  • ET 4am
  • UTC/BST 8am
  • CEST 9am

The new season will be available on all platforms at the same time, and it will center around the new pass.

All FC 26 Season 2 Pass rewards

The exact rewards for the Season 2 Pass remain unknown at the time of writing. We will have the complete list once the new season is live. We are yet to get any leaks, but the seasonal pass should once again have a free and a paid version.

Season 2 should also see improvements in Rivals rewards, so that's something to look forward to as well for the community. As for the season pass, we will have to grind different objectives throughout the course of the season to unlock the rewards.

We will update the complete list once it's live on Oct. 30. We will also add any teased/leaked rewards if they do appear ahead of the official launch.

Mega Blaziken in Pokemon TCG Pocket

The Mega Rising expansion begins the first anniversary celebrations in Pokémon TCG Pocket, and three packs featuring Mega Blaziken, Mega Gyarados, and Mega Altaria are now available for you to open.

As you might have figured out, you can't find the three Mega Evolutions in a single pack. This raises a vital question about which one you should open first. This guide will clear all your doubts if you're in a limbo about how to spend your hourglasses.

What is the best Mega Rising pack to open in Pokémon TCG Pocket

For starters, all three packs have great cards. Some items are common in all of them. However, there are also significant differences in the cards available in the respective packs. Your major deciding factor in the case of Mega Rising should be about the Mega Evolution you want.

  • Between the three cards, I personally like Mega Blaziken the most. The attack does 120 damage guaranteed, and you can discard one energy to inflict Burn on the opponent. While Mega Gyarados discards the opponent's deck, it takes a long time to set up.
  • Mega Altaria, however, is the best card for beginners. You keep your bench stacked for full damage, and it costs just two energy. However, I am not a fan of Psychic decks myself, but it could be entirely different for you.

If you're more of a collector, chances are that you'll open the packs based on the chase cards in them. Here's a quick rundown of the rare items you can find in the respective packs.

Booster Packs Highlights
Mega Blaziken Mea Pinsir ex (◊◊◊◊)
Mega Blaziken ex (◊◊◊◊)
Dragalge ex (◊◊◊◊)
Mega Gyarados Mega Gyarados ex (◊◊◊◊)
Jolteon ex (◊◊◊◊)
Mega Absol ex (◊◊◊◊)
Mega Atlaria Whimsicott ex (◊◊◊◊)
Mega Ampharos ex (◊◊◊◊)

Ultimately, there's plenty of Hourglasses available as part of the anniversary events. You should be able to open plenty of Mega Rising packs over the next few weeks. The packs also don't have any expiry date, so you can keep opening them for as long as you like.
