The creators of Baldur's Village, a Stardew Valley mod revolving around a community of characters from Baldur's Gate 3, have been pretty quiet since their work escaped being "mistakenly" zapped out of existence by Wizards of the Coast last April. Now, ahead of Baldur's Village's first birthday, they've provided a progress update on the Halsin romance arc they've been working on in the interim.

DANGER DANGER, you now have 30 minutes till the RPS Monday morning meeting. 30 minutes till Julian asks us what we got up to this weekend, with the deceptively cuddly air of King Lear asking his daughters which of them doth love him most. What can I get written and published inside 30 minutes?

Ah, here's Bungie with thoughts on this weekend's Marathon reboot "server slam", a server slam being a playtest that is designed to deliberately overload the online functionality in the hope that this won't happen come release day on, in this case, 5th March. A fair few of you participated in the server slam, and a fair few of you have notes. The developers have rounded up the feedback they consider most vital. Beware: the following blockquote contains weasels.

ARC Raiders PvE

The Week 18 Trials are live in ARC Raiders, and we have the first set of tasks for the new season.

The first set of trials has five different tasks to complete. Some of the tasks are relatively simple, while a few of them will require extra time and effort. Let's look at what awaits us as part of the first week of the new season.

ARC Raiders Week 18 Trials walkthrough

The Week 18 Trials can be broken down into five separate tasks.

  • Damage Leapers
  • Loot bird's nests
  • Damage Spotters
  • Open ARC Probes
  • Search containers in the Medical Research wing

Damage Leapers

The first task requires us to go against an ARC that I hate to encounter on the map. Leapers can jump at you from great distances and do splash damage. If you're too close, they can damage you with their close-radius burst. I mostly encounter Leapers near elevators on Dam Battlegrounds, or you can try your luck in a Matriarch hunt.

First, you would want to be in a shelter since that protects you from the jumps. Next, target the eyes as that's the Leaper's weak spot. A few shots with the Hullcracker will be enough to bring it down. Additionally, don't forget to use flame-based explosives since the Leaper absolutely hates fires. While you don't need to destroy them for the task, doing so will get you the Leaper Pulse unit, among other loot.

Loot bird's nest

To complete this task, you'll need to head to the Buried City map. Bird City is a map event that's exclusive to Buried City. When the event is live, check out the different rooftops. You'll occasionally come across birds' nests in chimneys. Typically, searching these nests is the best way to get trinkets, including different Ducks. You can then sell these trinkets to get a lot of credits.

Damage Spotters

Spotters are flying ARCs that can't damage you directly, but they're extremely dangerous. For starters, they're not as weak as Wasps, and have decent armors. Secondly, once they spot you, you'll only get a few seconds before other ARCs rush to your location.

My favorite weapon against the Spotter is the Renegade, since they always keep a distance. Hence, you'll need a weapon that works well from long range. Try to land your first two shots since that will give you extra time to destroy them completely. Like all flying ARCs, the Spotters don't have any fixed locations. You'll also find them close to a Bombardier as they guide the rockets.

Open ARC Probes

ARC Probes are of two types in ARC Raiders. You'll find some lying flat on the ground, and some standing. The latter is better to loot as they usually contain valuable resources. Once you find ARC Probes, you'll have to break them open and loot whatever is available.

ARC Probes don't have fixed locations on any map. You'll come across them pretty frequently on a raid. Typically, they make noise, but that sound will increase when you try to break it open. To get XP, you'll need to break them up and complete the search.

Search containers in the Medical Research Wing

The Medical Research Wing is located in the southwestern part of Stell Montis (top floor). This location is an amazing spot to find valuable loot like Exodus Materials. You'll find plenty of containers at this spot. Go through them to gain XP. It's not important if the containers have any remaining loot.

However, this area attracts a lot of raiders, so be careful while you're looking in the containers.
