Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 17, 2026 11:30 AM During a random dictionary delve last week I learned that "explore" once meant to cry out. It comes from an old Latin word formed from the prefix "ex-", describing outwardness, and "plorare", meaning to cry or weep. Compare "implore" - to beg, cry for something - and "deplore" - to berate, 'cry of' something or somebody. The OED explains ("ex + "planō", meaning to level off, flatten for understanding) that "explore" may originally have referred to hunters, shouting to scare up animals lurking in the area around them. Exploration was always somewhat predatory, then, perhaps a little anguished. I have to admit, I got misty-eyed on discovering all this, thinking about how this word I've written a million times in videogame reviews is a kind of silenced wail. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 17, 2026 10:00 AM In May 2014, the small team at Campo Santo were still in the early days of making Firewatch, a first-person narrative exploration game – you can call it a walking simulator, they do, and with no disparagement. The developers assembled at their San Francisco offices, some came from nearby, others from as far away as Vancouver, Canada and Winchester in the UK. They loaded up cars with beer, board games, and tents, and drove the several hours to Yosemite National Park, where, as one of Campo Santo's founders Nels Anderson puts it, "We went camping in the goddamn woods." While Firewatch was always due to be set more than 500 miles away in Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, the team wanted to get deep into a forest and find the feeling of being surrounded and overwhelmed by nature. "All of us would say we were highly informed by that trip," Chris Remo says. He remembers thinking "In a year and a half, this is the thing we will have hopefully captured some little part of." |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 17, 2026 9:06 AM Update: Arrowhead have just shared a graphic outlining what's coming in the next couple of months of Helldivers 2 updates. April's Terminid-themed update 6.2 will deliver two new biomes, fresh galactic war campaigns, and a new enemy variant. May's update 6.3, meanwhile, will come with a single new biome and its own fresh galactic war twists. Both months'll also boast the usual warbond and bug fixing patches. Arrowhead have opted against sharing too much in terms of what the future holds in Helldivers 2 so far, ostensibly to avoid galactic war spoilers, but it looks like this sort of roadmap - which is deliberately short on specific details - will be commonplace going forwards. |
Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Tuesday, March 17, 2026 8:26 AM Oh, it wasn't a dream. Nvidia really did announce DLSS 5 last night, its central feature not being better upscaling or frame generation but a "real-time neural rendering model that infuses pixels with photoreal lighting and materials." In practice, the primary function of this model appears to be looksmaxxing, transforming Resident Evil Requiem's traumatised wallflower Grace into a smouldering ScarJo lookalike and, erm, lightening the skin of Starfield's PoC characters. DLSS 5 isn't launching until this autumn but I can tell it's going to be just the thing if you secretly want all your games to have the same aesthetic, and that aesthetic is 'Evony ads.' |

Square Enix announced that it opened Android Google Play and iOS App Store pre-registration for its new mobile game Dragon Quest Smash/Grow. It also confirmed there will be a bonus for opting in ahead of launch and shared a trailer highlighting elements of the experience. While there's no expected launch date yet, the App Store page launch window stated, "expected July 31, 2026."
We first learned Dragon Quest Smash/Grow was on the way back in September 2025. A closed beta test even followed. This will be an action-RPG. Our hero will run forward toward the top of the screen, attacking hordes of enemies along the way. Once you build up to a Coup de Grace attack, you can "smash" with an AOE assault. You'll also gather Blessings and growth crystals for roguelike elements that influence how the run will go.
As for the pre-registration incentive, those are Transmuter pulls. Square Enix will give enough for 10 of them. However, it didn't explain how those will work and what they'll entail.
Here's the official pre-registration trailer. It shows both gameplay footage and some cinematics for this new Dragon Quest mobile game.
Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is in development, pre-registration is open, and it will be playable on Android and iOS mobile devices.

This comes after about a six-year-long run. There will also be a Finale Campaign that gives everyone a free 10x pull each day up until the end and unlocks past event storylines,

It's unclear if Bandai Namco Entertainment plans to leave an archive or offline version of the game for its fans.
What is clear is that Bandai Namco will continue to update the game until its closure. The website has a list of upcoming banners, events, and campaigns for the rest of March 2026. So until about March 31, 2026, at the very least, players will still be able see new content appear. It is unknown if the free daily ten pull will appear on new banners.

Shift Up announced the next Goddess of Victory: NIKKE update will add the Dating Sim Story Event called 2X2 Love and a crossover with Razer that includes a special costume. The former starts on March 19, 2026, and it will involve a means of replaying the visual novel elements to see different outcomes. The latter involves a Viper costume that is available if someone buys the Punky Street Pass when it releases on March 26, 2026 and finishes it by April 16, 2026 or if the grab the NIKKE x Razer set.
In the case of the NIKKE Dating Sim Story Event: 2X2 Love, it is divided into two parts and features the new Arcana: Fortune Mate SSR unit and Privaty, who is getting a new Sharp Lesson costume. The first part of the story will launch on March 19, 2026, after the update, which is also when the Arcana: Fortune Mate banner begins. (She'll be added to Ordinary Recruit, Social Point Recruit, and Mold Items after.) Privaty's Sharp Lesson will be available via the Costume Gacha that starts after the patch arrives too. Nintendo's new 22.0.0 firmware update for the Switch 2 added a new Handheld Mode Boost feature for the backwards compatible Switch games as part of its multiple features. However, it is not turned on by default on the console. We must enable it after the update, and Nintendo warned that opting into it may change how some games work.
The Handheld Mode Boost on the Switch 2 would force the original Switch games to run in TV mode on the new console, even if you are in handheld mode. As a result, the frame rate and resolution would be higher than if it were played in Handheld mode or Tabletop mode on the Switch or Switch 2. The patch notes for this feature did note touchscreen support for games might not be supported when it is turned on, the Joy-Con 2s will be treated as though they are a single Pro Controller, and battery life may be negatively affected.
Nintendo did note how to enable Handheld Mode Boost for Switch games on the Switch 2 as well. Before heading into a game, someone would need to go into the System Settings and choose to adjust the System options. After grabbing 22.0.0, there will be a new Nintendo Switch Software Handling section that allows us to toggle Handheld Mode Boost on or off.
This is one of multiple new additions in 22.0.0, including ones that notify people when Parental Controls are turned off, Airplane Mode adjustments, GameChat game screen and invitation adjustments, and Friend List note options. Here are the full, official patch notes from Nintendo for this update:

Back when Panic's Playdate handheld launched, Ratcheteer ended up being one of its launch window games. Now under four years later, this little The Legend of Zelda like title is back as Ratcheteer DX. It's still a solid game, just more accessible to a wider audience, and the new design choices ensure it still pays tribute to those early Game Boy and Game Boy Color action-RPGs.
Ratcheteer DX takes place in a world in which people live in colonies, and our avatar is a rookie who helps maintain the machines for it. However, something's tampering with the mechanisms keeping people safe and alive. When you set off to perform maintenance and keep the power going, you find that there could be issues in other areas related to survival components like water treatment. You end up going around the colony, fixing issues, dealing with hostile creatures, and saving the day after heading off to restore power and rescue an abducted mentor. While this is a Game Boy Color style adventure, some of the story elements can get surprisingly deep when it comes to personal ideologies and the current climate.
Replace Link's sword with a large mechanic's wrench, and you'll have no trouble figuring out how to succeed in The Legend of Zelda like Ratcheteer DX. Our protagonist visits different towns and "dungeons" like a power plant, water treatment plant, cryo colony, and greenhouse to deal with hostile beings infesting them. There are light puzzles that can involve moving blocks, turning gears to make paths with a wrench, using light to trigger switches, or a drill shield to break walls. Swinging the wrench is enough to clear out some movement-hampering debris and enemies, and it's also possible to do a charged spin attack. Unlike Link, we're able to jump around right away, which adds platforming elements immediately. But the progression is very similar to Nintendo's titles in that we reach an area, talk with people and read books for lore and insight into what to do next, explore dungeons, and get keys that allow us to pass through locked doors and reach the boss' room.
It's all handled pretty well. As you'd expect from this sort of game, each dungeon area tends to possess its own theme and gimmick, which usually ties into an ability we find at or near there. For example, the Cryo Colony features a lot of gushing water from pipes, which can be used gain momentum to an area or be blocked with the Drill Shield, and said drill is also used to gain access to new areas via breaking walls. Since the game is also pretty short and can be cleared in around four hours, it also doesn't wear out its welcome or get repetitive. That said, I do think some gameplay elements work better than others, and the Cryo Colony and its water spouts ended up being one of the more frustrating moments during my playthrough.
As for the new additions, Ratcheteer DX looks great! The Game Boy Color aesthetic suits it well. The color choices Shaun Inman went with are perfect and suit different areas and situations. I do think it looked more impressive as a monochromatic Playdate game. The updated soundtrack is also great and sounded very rich and clear on the Switch.
Ratcheteer felt really impressive when it debuted on the Playdate, and the DX version is just as enjoyable on the Switch. I do think it felt a little more special when bound to the limitations of Panic's handheld. It still looks and runs quite well, and this short, top-down action-RPG can be a pleasant way to enjoy an afternoon.
Ratcheteer DX is available on the Switch and PC, and the original game is on the Playdate.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 allows you to raise plenty of monsties on your adventures, and one of the most important tasks is to raise their XP as quickly as possible.
To make a monstie perform to its potential, having good genes is only half the task. You'll also need to raise its XP so that it can defeat the mightiest of enemies.
Thankfully, there are some effective ways to raise your XP fast.
Table of contents
How to raise your monstie XP fast in Monster Hunter Stories 3
Whenever your monstie participates in an activity, it will gain XP. But that might not be the quickest or most efficient way, so here are some key ways to fast-track the process.
Bonus from foods
Certain meals offer bonuses that help your monstie gain XP. These bonuses can sometimes work during a battle, and they can sometimes trigger when your monstie encounters a new opponent. For example, the Powerfruit Noddlebread helps your monsters to gain levels when they participate in a battle. The lower the level of your monstie, the more XP they gain from the food item.
Target stronger monsties
It might seem silly to take your low-level monstie and make it fight a creature that has a higher level, but it's a great way to level up your monstie, as it will fight for more turns. You should always approach a monstie from behind. This will get you the first strike and land additional damage even before the battle begins.
You can try your luck battling the likes of Deviljho, which is one of the hardest monsties to deal with. As an alternative, battling Invasive monsties also works well for XP. However, make sure to use the correct weapons and armors as you'll have to compensate for your monstie's lower levels.
Once your monstie is beyond the low-level stage, you'll depend more on the food items and the bonuses they offer.
Hunt down Barrel cats
On your adventures, you'll find Barrel cats. Destroying the barrels on the cats will give you a massive boost of XP. While you can get it done on your own, it's better to use Kora. Kora can practically one-shot them, which makes it extremely easy for you to gain XP without any extra risk.
Complete side quests
The side quests in Monster Hunter Stories 3 aren't my favorite. However, the more they provide you with, the easier the quests are, and your monsters can get extra fight (which results in extra HP). Additionally, you can always unlock more recipes in the process, which can land you some of the best armors and weapons in the game.

Starfield will soon be leaving Microsoft exclusivity, joining many of the world's greatest games across the Pond (that other one) on the PlayStation 5. It'll also be receiving a massive free update alongside its long-awaited port, and it may not be the last we see of Bethesda's star-faring RPG.
The free update, titled Free Lanes, is going to massively expand the game's content, bringing in numerous fixes, enemies, locations, quests, vehicles, crew, quality-of-life improvements, and so on and so forth. It targets just about every aspect of the game, seeking to make Starfield into the title it deserves to be. But the most important addition here is the Cruise Mode, allowing players to explore entire star systems, rather than just the planets inside of them.
This is done by engaging your cruise mode and setting off toward another planet, which can now be manually traveled to using this new mechanic. No longer are you forced to fast travel or enter loading screens (that should now be faster on the PS5), and you are given the opportunity to make the trip at your own pace and in your own way.
To fill in the spaces between the planets, Bethesda has put in loads of content in there, including dynamic events, that should make each trip exciting and worthwhile, opening the previously empty space to exploration and adventure, rather than just being there as a backdrop. It's an exciting update, to put it mildly, and finally brings Starfield up to speed with other star-faring games that have had similar mechanics for some time now.
Though it's huge and free, it'll probably be the game's final update, at least the last "named" patch it'll receive. However, Tim Lamb, Bethesda's lead creative producer, said in a Q&A with media that there is still a lot that the teams would love to do with the game but did not offer concrete promises about any more updates down the line.
"When we make a game, our plan is always to support it for a number of years after launch," Lamb said. "There are places the team still wants to explore. There are things in the lore that we are still excited about, so we [do] have some plans, but nothing to announce [right now]," he added.
So there are "plans" and a general desire to expand Starfield even further, but I feel this is about as good as the game will get. This update adds a major mechanic that should probably have been there from the get-go and embraces most of the suggestions and feedback players have been putting out there over the years.
At any rate, Starfield is healthy and alive and being propped up by a massive new content drop, both via Free Lanes and the Terran Armada DLC, which will offer more in the story and narrative departments.
Starfield comes to the PS5 on April 7, with Free Lanes and Terran Armada coming alongside it.

It's official, folks: Starfield is jumping ship, leaving Xbox-Windows exclusivity and crossing over into blue territory. Bethesda's latest RPG, set in our little corner of the universe across numerous planets and stars, will drop on the PlayStation 5 Tuesday, April 7.
This confirms previous rumors we covered regarding Starfield's potential PS5 launch, which signaled that the game would release on Sony's platform on April 7. Furthermore, Bethesda is dropping the price of the base game by a significant margin, setting it at $50 on both the PlayStation 5 and other consoles, while an upgraded edition will now cost $70 and include the game and its DLCs.
Speaking of which, Starfield is also launching a new DLC, Terran Armada, which will be a narratively driven expansion for the RPG, introducing loads of new stories to experience, quests to complete, and locations to explore. Naturally, new enemies, characters, and star systems will be added as well, significantly broadening what Starfield has to offer to players old and new.
Base-game owners can purchase the DLC separately, whereas owners of the Starfield Premium Edition will get this expansion for no additional cost.
Alongside the PlayStation 5 launch and this new DLC, Starfield is receiving a massive free update titled Free Lanes. It finally introduces one of the most-requested mechanics: manual space travel, allowing players to enter Cruise Mode and travel between planets on their own. While on their way to other planets, players will be able to experience dynamic events and spend time with their crew, potentially opening up new venues of exploration or narrative threads to be followed while on the starry road.
Via Free Lanes and its Cruise Mode, one of the biggest flaws of Starfield (its very, very empty spaces) will now be somewhat filled in with additional content that'll certainly make interplanetary travel much more interesting.
This is only one aspect of this free update, which will bring Starfield as close to 2.0 as possible. Though its developers did not want to refer to this update and DLC as 2.0, suffice it to say that it's the biggest content drop the game has seen since launch and one that could potentially turn the tide of opinions on the game.
Smaller patches, fixes, and changes, as well as improvements and expansions to the Trackers Alliance mechanic, are also coming as part of this update and PlayStation 5 launch, available on Xbox, PC, and PS5 as of April 7.

Mayor Wilson Fisk has declared martial law in Marvel's New York City, and so begins season seven of Marvel Rivals with a loud, boisterous bang.
NetEase Games revealed the first look at the new season of the superhero hero shooter today, confirming White Fox as the game's newest hero, along with teasing a new map set in New York, marking a return there for the first time since season one's vampire-themed maps.
The new cinematic dropped this morning shows the continuation of Rivals' seasonal storytelling, which now focuses again on NY and the heroes battling through the multiverse. The newest addition, master thief and Spider-Man friend-or-foe Black Cat is equal to the task. But so is White Fox.
"Forces from 2099's Nueva York have begun pouring into modern-day New York, turning the city into ground zero for their expansion," the story reads. "As a temporal plague spreads from the Alchemax Tower and martial law tightens across the city, Mayor Fisk is ready to do whatever it takes to restore order. But in darkness, those who navigate the shadows truly shine..."
As usual, Black Cat is busy doing her thief thing and trying to steal an important artifact. But in her way is White Fox, who's launching alongside the new update this week while Black Cat is coming in the midseason update in April.
In an interview with Destructoid last week, executive producer Danny Koo explained that "if a character is no longer fun, then we're not doing our job," so Black Cat and White Fox both have some big expectations moving forward into season seven and beyond.
Season seven of Marvel Rivals, "The Hunt is On," launches this Friday, March 20. More info about the new season will be revealed today and in the coming days ahead of the update.

The always-online world we live in extends to our passions and hobbies, and gaming is one of them, especially in 2026.
A game like Bungie's Marathon, a PvPvE extraction shooter, is purely online. This means there's nothing you can do without an internet connection, and worse, sometimes server problems and maintenance prevent anyone from playing at any given time.
Online server complications can quickly make a night of gaming with pals and turn it into a quiet night of scrolling on your phone, and that just sucks. But there are ways to be prepared and see if a game like Marathon if currently having snags, or if you just may need to get a new ISP.
Here's how to check on Marathon's server status.
Table of contents
Are Marathon servers down?
For big update deployments in Marathon, the game may be brought offline while the patches are being uploaded to the servers. This was the case on March 17, 2026, when the Cryo Archive map was added to the game along with many quality of life updates.
Marathon's servers were down for several hours, but soon brought back up so players could enjoy the game again.
How to check Marathon server status
If you're having difficulty connecting to Marathon (or if you're waiting in a login queue) there may be problems plaguing the game's servers. Naturally, you may want to check online to see if there's a widespread server troubles, or if it's something specific to your game or internet.
These are the Twitter/X accounts to follow for news and updates on Marathon and its servers:
A website like DownDetector could also be of use if there are others having issues with the game. And as always, checking social media to see if others are having problems like you are is one of the first steps to take to make sure that the game is having problems. And if so, sometimes all you can do is just wait it out.

Marathon's endgame map Cryo Archive is now officially in the game with a new update today, but the community still needs to solve an ARG to make it playable.
Update 1.0.5 is rolling out to the game now, which is currently offline while the patch is deployed, but it's a hefty one full of bug fixes, improvements, additions, and lots of quality of life changes. One of those changes includes the ability for players to now activate exfil beacons while downed, which is huge for me because I suck.
There's also a slew of new Codex challenges to unlock, and several new Implant perks that can only be found in the new map, including Cover Recovery ("While in smoke, your self-repair speed is increased and you use healing consumables faster"), and Freeloader ("Defeating an enemy with a knife attack grants a small amount of tactical and prime ability energy").
Check out everything in the patch notes below while waiting for the servers to come back, including some nerfs to the powerful WSTR shotgun, and get ready to enter Cryo Archive sometime likely over the next few days.

The Ambush global event has returned to The Division 2 as part of the Anniversary season, and you can get some fantastic rewards by completing various tasks.
The key is to complete different event challenges. As of writing, we have all the info about the tasks that are part of Week 1, but more challenges are expected to arrive before we transition to Year 8 Season 1.
Let's find out more about all the tasks and the rewards we can get from completing them.
All The Division 2 Ambush global event challenges
You can find the Ambush event tasks on its dedicated page, which will display all the ongoing challenges. Go to the Events Timeline, and you will find all the tasks that are currently live for you to grind and finish. You will need to activate the Ambush global event first before your contributions for the tasks get registered.
There are two types of rewards you'll get from grinding the event. First, you can get up to 20 stars to exchange for rewards at the events vendor. You'll find them in the White House, and exchange the stars for cache.
Second, there are objective rewards for completing the weekly tasks. You can open the caches to find different rewards that will be helpful in getting the seasonal exclusives. The exact item you get will be largely reliant on your luck.

Palia's latest major update has arrived, bringing plenty of fresh content to explore. The Toadstool Tales update has quite a lot packed into it, so you may need some help navigating all of it to ensure you don't miss out on anything.
Reviewing all the new update features before you start exploring is a helpful way to figure out where you want to start. Like most updates, this one has plenty to explore, so to ensure you're aware of everything it entails, here are the patch notes for Palia's Toadstool Tales update.
Table of contents
All new features in Palia Toadstool Tales update
Palia's Toadstool Tales update features new quests revolving around the Zendruu Tree, friendship quests for Ulfe, photo mode upgrades, new seasonal events, cosmetic items, and other such assets for the Spring season, and so much more. Here's a full breakdown of the patch notes for this update.
Zendruu Tree quests
It's time to venture deeper into The Elderwood with a series of new story quests focused on exploring the Zendruu Tree. In this quest series, you'll pick up right where the last story missions left off, which means it's time to return to The Elderwood Adventure Zone and confront the ancient Zendruu Tree. Your goal is to heal the forest and get answers to mysteries surrounding it.
Ulfe friendship quests
Ulfe, a villager you can meet in Elderwood, is being upgraded to a full-on companion you can befriend in this update. He's finally getting quests, which means you can steadily work on getting to know him better and progressing his storyline.
For now, he only has friendship levels one through four, as many villagers do, but this may be expanded upon in the future. He's also part of the new main storyline quests revolving around the Zendruu Tree and The Elderwood.
Photo mode improvements
Palia's photo mode feature got a foundational upgrade with this update, which essentially means the basic framework has been reworked and improved. The new system supports filters and special effects, with the Sepia filter being the very first one that's been added. Additional updates will add more and continue to build upon this feature in the future.
Path of the Tadpole
A new reward track called Path of the Tadpole has arrived with this update. Similar to past Paths, this one is essentially Palia's version of a battle pass you can work through to earn exclusive prizes. Some of the rewards you can claim are as follows.
Spring Bounty Bundle Board
The Bulletin Board has been updated with a new bundle you can complete, which is the Spring Bounty Bundle. This is the eighth Bullittern Board bundle, and like all the ones that came before it, there are several unique missions you can work through to earn rewards.
New items
A fresh update also means plenty of new items to collect. Some can be found in the shop, some may be available around the world, and some may require other means to unlock. Here are all of the new items featured in this one.
Spring activities
Spring has arrived in Palia, bringing with it some general aesthetic changes to the world to fit this time of year. This season also introduces the Open Season event, a fresh festival that's perfect for hunters, fishers, and adventurers.
Ranching Retirement Acres
Watching animals get older and eventually perish can be quite sad and disheartening in Palia. Luckily, you can now keep them alive forever thanks to the new Ranching Retirement Acres feature. It allows you to keep your favorite animals safe from death forever by retiring them.
We've included all of the features packed into this update here, but you can also review the official patch notes for more detail. While you're out and about enjoying this update, there are plenty of tasks you might want to work on. You may wish to learn how to get Sweet Leaf, where to find Oily Anchovy, and how to complete the Answering the Call quest.

The messy story of Subnautica 2's development and delay got a whole lot messier today, deepening the plot about the highly anticipated sequel's delayed early access launch.
Last summer, publisher Krafton placed the blame for Subnautica 2's delay on three former executives at developer Unknown Worlds, amid reports that the game was actually pushed to avoid paying them $250 million in bonuses, according to a report by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier.
The latest development, picked up by VGC, is that a judge in Delaware has ruled that Krafton must reinstate former Unknown Worlds CEO Ted Gill, who was fired by the company last year, along with former founders Charlie Cleveland and Max McGuire.
To make matters even juicier, the judge also made an accusation that Krafton's own CEO "turned to artificial intelligence to help him brainstorm ways to avoid paying the earnout," remarking that "ChatGPT likewise advised that it would be 'difficult to cancel the earnout.'"
That strategy, apparently, was to place blame on Gill and other executives who Krafton said "abandoned the responsibilities entrusted to them" alongside Subnautica 2's development. Now, the recent court ruling claims that "Krafton went searching for a pretext" to avoid a "nine-figure liability."
"We are deeply disappointed by the former leadership's conduct, and above all, we feel a profound sense of betrayal by their failure to honor the trust placed in them by our fans," Krafton said in a statement last July.
Basically, Subnautica 2 devs said the game is ready for early access, but the game was delayed because Krafton said and felt otherwise, apparently. But now all of this is being called into question, and it may be due to the publisher attempting to avoid its payment responsibilities.
Subnautica 2 is currently the most wishlisted game on Steam, ahead of titles like Deadlock, Light No Fire, Crimson Desert, and Forza Horizon 6. It's unclear what this latest wrinkle means for the undersea exploration game, but the sloppiness behind the scenes just keeps getting sloppier. Hopefully, with Gill back at the reins, the game could be closer to release than ever.
Update on March 17, 2026, at 8:15am CT: A Krafton representative has reached out to Destructoid with this statement:
"KRAFTON puts players at the heart of every decision, and that will never change. Over the past several months, KRAFTON and the Unknown Worlds team have worked tirelessly to strengthen the game and prepare it for an Early Access release, with a continued focus on delivering the best possible experience for the Subnautica community. We look forward to pushing out the newly updated version as soon as possible for players.
While we respectfully disagree with today's ruling, we are evaluating our options as we determine our path forward. Today's ruling does not resolve the former executives' claim for damages or an earnout related to Subnautica 2, with further litigation still pending. In the meantime, KRAFTON's immediate focus remains unchanged: delivering the best possible game to Subnautica's fans."

The Festival of Football: Answer the Call promo is coming next to FC 26 Ultimate Team, and we have the first set of leaks regarding the upcoming cards.
So far, EA Sports has remained tight-lipped about the next promo and which cards will be present. If the rumors are true, some exciting cards will be part of the next campaign.
Table of contents
All FC 26 Festival of Football: Answer the Call players (leaks)
So far, it's unclear whether Festival of Football: Answer the Call will be a one or two-week-long affair. Here's a list of cards that have been leaked.
The list of leaked names is pretty big, but there should be more reveals closer to the launch. As things stand, the Festival of Football: Answer the Call promo should only consist of special cards of active footballers. In simple words, Heroes and Icons are unlikely to be part of the promo.
FC 26 Festival of Football: Answer the Call release countdown
Festival of Football: Answer the Call promo will go live once the FUT Birthday promo expires from Ultimate Team. The following countdown will expire once the promo goes live.
The countdown above is based on the following times.
It will be interesting to find out which of the leaked items eventually makes it to the official launch.

Like clockwork, another season of Marvel Rivals is about to arrive, gracing us with even more fresh content to explore. More characters, events, skins, and so much more arrive soon, so you'll want to know when you can dive in and explore.
New updates happen for Marvel Rivals fairly frequently, but it's these big seasonal ones that are most exciting, as they bring the most new content to the game by far. If you can't wait to see what the devs have cooked up this time around, here's the exact time and date when season seven of Marvel Rivals begins.
Table of contents
When is Marvel Rivals season 7?
Season seven of Marvel Rivals officially arrives on March 20. The actual launch time of new seasons isn't usually shared ahead of release, so this one likely won't be either. Luckily, all big updates have typically gone live at the same time, which means there's a reliable chance this one will, too. As long as everything stays on schedule as expected, season seven should debut at 5am CT/9am UTC.
Like past seasons, this one will be released for everyone across all platforms at the same time. We've set our countdown to the precise release time and translated it across major time zones so you can check back here leading up to the launch to see how much longer is left to wait. Marvel Rivals will also be down for around two to three hours for maintenance ahead of the start of the season.
How long is Marvel Rivals season 7?
Season seven of Marvel Rivals will be roughly one month long, as all seasons are. The last season was slightly longer than a month, ending on March 20 instead of March 15 as expected. Still, seasons are generally sticking to about a one-month-long duration, so season seven is expected to as well unless any big changes to this format are announced.
When it ends, season 7.5 will take over, making the entire season seven run technically last two months if you count them together. One new hero will debut in the first half, while the other will arrive with 7.5. Season 7.5 should arrive sometime around April 20, but we won't get the official start date for it until later on.
Marvel Rivals season 7 features
Most of the exact features arriving in season seven haven't been revealed yet, but will be in the days leading up to season seven's arrival. There are some aspects that have been revealed, plus many features we see in every season, though, which means we do know a bit about what's coming next. Here's everything we know is arriving in season seven.
If you want to keep yourself busy to make the wait for season seven a bit easier, there's plenty to keep you busy in Marvel Rivals. You might consider checking out all the Museum of Contemplation Easter eggs and references, mastering the best upgrade order for Vanguard Deadpool, completing the Secret Stash achievement, and setting up your Strike Squad.
