Alan Wake makers (Wakers?) Remedy have delivered FBC: Firebreak's final major update, having previously elected to wind down development of the struggling Control-themed shooter. This swansong for the game delivers some new maps inspired by the original Control, and a Friend's Pass that lets you invite a mate to play with you via a free version of Firebreak. Handy for keeping sessions decently stocked, since Remedy have made sure the shooter'll remain "playable for years to come".

By the time Campo Santo were reaching the end of Firewatch's development, Chris Remo was itching to start over. "I remember feeling, 'God, if we made this exact same game again now, we could take these ideas so much further'."

After Firewatch's release, Remo began giving talks about what Campo Santo were trying to do: making a game that focused not on interactivity, but reactivity. "I was hoping this model would catch on and be pushed forward and done in a more ambitious way than we did," Remo says. "There was a part of me that was hoping that Firewatch would point the way towards its own subgenre."

But the ideas at the heart of Firewatch didn't spark imitators. Ten years on from Firewatch's release, Remo shares why he thinks reactive narrative games didn't spread.

Hello everybody! A major technology company executive is talking in this, the year 2026, which means it's time for more wrangling about generative AI tools. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has spoken at length about why the latest genAI tools aren't going to turn everybody into a game developer and put companies like his out of business, arguing that there are already a lot of ways to hasten or automate bits of game development, used by many thousands of games, and yet only a "handful" of those are "hits" on the scale of GTA 6.

As you're probably aware, Nvidia unveiled DLSS 5 earlier this week, showing off the tech via a slideshow of game characters' faces being transformed by its neural rendering into the sort of unnervingly yassified visages you get in dodgy internet ads nowadays. Naturally, the overwhelming response from players the company and its partners had seemingly assumed would be wowed by the tech has landed on a scale capped by annoyed sighs and middle fingers.

It's ok, though. Nvidia boss Jensen Huang has now said those whose socks haven't been blown off are just "completely wrong" about what DLSS 5 is.

Final Fantasy: Black Mages Legacy Is the FFIX Cartoon

The Final Fantasy IX animated TV show for kids that first came up in June 2021 finally feels a little more real, due to studio Eurovisual sharing official details about a FFIX project known as Final Fantasy: Black Mages Legacy on its site. It noted a season of it is "in production," offered details about its plot, and shared a first still from an episode. Square Enix didn't comment yet. It will be the second project to focus on Vivi and Black Mages' stories, with the first being the book Final Fantasy IX Picture Book: Vivi and Grandpa's Memories for the Sky. [Thanks, RPG Site!]

The Final Fantasy: Black Mages Legacy animated TV show will take place after the events of FFIX, and it will star the additional, nameless Black Mages we saw that were considered Vivi Ornitier's children. Eurovisual's announcement refers to Vivi as Bibi, however, perhaps due to his name being written in Japanese as ビビ. It notes that everyone still lives in Alexandria as things begin, and suggests that Vivi did in fact die after the events of the original game. His children Doc, Fala, Imel/Mel, Koln, Luciola, and Thea succeeded him. When Imel/Mel is found frozen in a crystal, Koln begins investigating what's going on.

The official description, in addition to that statement, noted that one season is confirmed. It will consist of 10 episodes. Each one of those will be 22 minutes long. There are no details about where they might air.

The Final Fantasy IX: Black Mages Legacy animated show is now in production, and FFIX is available on consoles and platforms like the Switch, PS1, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. Square Enix will release the picture book prequel to Vivi's story outside Japan on May 19, 2026, following its Japanese debut.

Katamari Damacy branded rice sold by Grapht for 22nd anniversary

Bandai Namco has revealed many new Katamari Damacy merchandise releases to celebrate the game series' 22nd anniversary. It also works with numerous companies, with one of them being Grapht, which is newly releasing Katamari Damacy-branded mouse pad and rice.

The new mouse pad features the key art of the inaugural PS2 game, and it is available at ¥1,980 (~$12.45). However, the rice is only available for a limited time. It is available in either a single package of ¥864 (~$5.44) or a set of five packs with a bonus sticker at ¥4,320 (~$27.20), but it is best consumed within a year from being polished, and it was made in the city of Natori in Japan's Miyagi prefecture in 2025.

The new Katamari Damacy mouse pad and rice are immediately available to order online via Grapht's web store. However, despite the website featuring a WorldShopping widget, none of its Katamari-themed items are available for formal orders outside Japan.

Grapht is not the only company releasing new Katamari Damacy merchandise for the series' 22nd anniversary. Bandai Namco also works with Kadokawa Game Linkage for a Where's Waldo-like book, Arma Bianca's Amnibus for assorted keychains, and Mitacle for block toys. Inside the company's own group, Bandai has also released new Narabundesu figures and mobile stickers.

The Katamari Damacy series has also received new games for recent platforms ahead of this anniversary. Once Upon A Katamari is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC, while Katamari Damacy Rolling Live is accessible on iOS devices via Apple Arcade.

Dissidia Duellum Gets Release Date FFX, FFXII, FFXII, and FFXVI Characters

Back when Square Enix announced the first 10 Final Fantasy characters for Dissidia Duellum, there were some notable gaps, but now we know there will be FFII, FFIII, FFX, FFXI, FFXII, and FFXVI representatives joining after the release date. The launch trailer, which confirmed the March 24, 2026 debut, also showed who will be joining from each of those games. Some of the most notable are Balthier, Clive, and Rikku. However, there are no dates for when any of those "Ghosts" will show up.

Here's the full list of the Final Fantasy characters from FFII, FFIII, FFX, FFXI, FFXII, and FFXVI confirmed for Dissidia Duellum. Square Enix shared the Japanese voice actors for each one as part of the reveal. All of them appeared in their modern, "real world" clothing, so we have an idea what they'll look like in more casual attire.

  • Firion from FFII. Voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa.
  • Onion Knight from FFIII. Voiced by Jun Fukuyama.
  • Rikku from FFX. Voiced by Marika Matsumoto.
  • Iroha from FFXI. Voiced by Inori Minase.
  • Balthier from FFXII. Voiced by Hiroaki Hirata.
  • Clive from FFXVI. Voiced by Yuuya Uchida.

This means that every mainline Final Fantasy entry is accounted for in the new Dissidia game. No spin-offs are represented, however.

Here's the full launch trailer that covers the Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy release date and gameplay footage. The new character reveals start at the one minute mark.

There are 10 confirmed Final Fantasy characters for the Dissidia Duellum launch. In case you missed any of their showcase videos, here's the full list of the "ghosts" we'll get to choose from when the game debuts.

Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy pre-registration is open ahead of the March 24, 2026 release date on Android and Apple iOS mobile devices, and there's no word on when the FFII, FFIII, FFX, FFXI, FFXII, FFXII, and FFXVI characters will join the cast.

Nintendo's Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower Is an Odd Clock

I didn't expect Nintendo to release another clock so quickly after its Alarmo sound clock, but here we are with the Talking Flower based on the character frequently found in Super Mario Bros Wonder. (Well, that and other games.) In some ways, it is exactly what I expected. This is a little, decorative object that might startle you sometimes by saying, "Nothing to report!" However, I didn't expect it to also be a clock that would alert me at the top of each hour, wake me up, and tell me when to head to bed.

When you first get the Nintendo Talking Flower out of the box, you need to pop off the base to go through the setup process. This is incredibly easy to do. You can set a language initially via the menu. It asks what time it is, and you can arrange that. Then, you put what time you'd want to wake up and when you expect to go to bed. The period between those two times will be "quiet hours," and the clock itself will feature one "alarm" of the Talking Flower letting you know it is whatever time you noted you'd wake up once. Turning the volume up or down us done via the directional buttons there as well, and the device will "speak" so you can gauge how loud that notification would be. I also appreciated that you can set a "quiet period" by holding down the button just below the flower, which can also be pressed for an impromptu quip, to make it shut up.

So as an actual alarm clock, the Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower probably won't be the most effective. I'm usually pretty good about being up when I need to be between 7am and 9am, so I never need to set my phone too loud or the alert intensity too high on my smartwatch. Still, it's so subtle that someone who does have trouble probably wouldn't catch it. Practical usage probably wouldn't be too great.

However, the Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower clock is incredible at startling you when you'd least expect it, so kudos to Nintendo for that. Its without warning commentary happens so infrequently, perhaps once or twice and hour aside from the top of the hour alert about what time it is, that it is very possible to forget it is in the room with you. That makes an occasional, "Ta-da! Tada! The Sequel!" shocking! I noticed at around 10:30am each day, it'd ask me, "Have you had lunch yet?" That's too early, buddy!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpseHS-EBjs

When it wasn't shocking by by reminded me it existed, sometimes I will admit it annoyed me a bit. One line that particularly frustrated me involved the Talking Flower randomly stating, "Rock, paper, scissors, go!" Then within a few seconds, it goes, "Nice!" Did you think I actually stopped what I was doing to play? Plus, you responded way too swiftly!

Oddly enough, what I liked best about Nintendo's design choices with the Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower is how weird it can be. Twice, out of nowhere, it's said, "Do you know the planet is spinning?" Another time, it stated, "It's good to be alive." When I pressed the button one time, it asked, "Feel like you're missing something?" That's a bit existential there, Talking Flower. Though another time, it noted, "They say the ocean tastes like tears." Which… I mean, are you okay, Talking Flower? Who are "they?"

Granted, these responses from the flower are also dictated by the time of day. I tended to only hear the "have you had lunch yet" prompt between 10am and 3pm. Pressing the button after quiet hours are set will also mean you'll hear the Talking Flower shocked awake and respond sleepily.

Nintendo's Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower is a novelty along the lines of those bird clocks that played sound bites at the top of the hour. It will help you keep track of the passage of time. It might help wake you up or remind you to go to bed. It will definitely occasionally scare you by reminding you it exists with an outburst when you least expect it.

The Super Mario Bros Wonder Talking Flower is now available worldwide.

Marathon runner shells fighting and looting

The long battle to unlock Marathon's fourth and toughest map yet is nearing its end, but not before the community gets its hands dirty.

After days of puzzle-solving, it appears the final step of the ARG to unlock Cryo Archive has arrived, and it involves every player of Marathon, not just those who are brave and/or smart enough to attempt to crack the codes that Bungie has been feeding the community.

Marathon UESC Cryo Archive API monitor
Screenshot by Destructoid via Cryoarchive API Monitor

500 million UESC kills. That's what it will take to give everyone access to the new map, apparently. Thankfully, the goal is over halfway to completion according to the game's API, but that still is a tough pace to get this new location in the hands of everybody.

Fortunately, we may not have to wait the five-plus days the pace is telling us it will take, because Bungie will be hosting some sort of event on Thursday at its HQ in Washington. The most interesting development happened yesterday as Bungie devs hopped on a call with streamers MrRoflWaffles and Skarrow9, who've been the public-facing spearhead of the ARG solving movement.

In a very neat trick, Bungie remotely opened some special UESC briefcases that the streamers received, and inside lay a note inviting them to the devs' HQ for something on March 19, which is tomorrow. And so it appears that, while gamers are at home hammering UESC bots, we may finally get some sort of official information or confirmation about Cryo Archive's launch. Whew.

This type of thing is nothing new for Bungie, which has been running ARGs like this for a while, notably in Destiny 2, but also most recently to even reveal Marathon. In truth, the studio has been doing this for decades, going as far back as 1999's Cortana Letters years ahead of Halo: Combat Evolved's launch.

The hype is high, and Bungie devs are also talking up the hardcore difficulty of the endgame map, which has some seriously wild challenges already listed in-game. Game director Joe Ziegler said that Cryo Archive "will be a pinnacle challenge in more ways than one."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PAa14-P-7s

"As we're getting closer and closer to seeing the doors open for the Cryo Deck of the Marathon Ship, please be advised when it does open: surviving will be a challenge for even the most prepared of crews," Ziegler said last night. "Everyone will have something new to learn. But we believe for those of you who are brave enough, it'll be a journey that you'll remember."

500 million kills is a lot, and at the current pace it will take days to finish. Will Cryo Archive ONLY unlock once this goal is reached? That remains to be seen, but either way, we should know more tomorrow once the ARG-gamer streamers arrive at Bungie. Until then, get to killing those UESC, Runners.

The post Marathon's Cryo Archive ARG has entered its final step, and now its up to players to go on a killing spree appeared first on Destructoid.

Flying on the Rathalos in Monster Hunter Stories 3

Super Rare dens offer you the best quality eggs in Monster Hunter Stories 3, and finding a bunch of these will be immensely helpful to find monsties with superior genes.

It doesn't require a degree in Rocket Science to understand why Super Rare den spawns are so important. However, these dens are extremely rare (as their names suggest), and they don't spawn whenever you want. Thankfully, a few tips and tricks can almost guarantee a Super Rare den spawn at all times.

How to find Super Rare dens easily in Monster Hunter Stories 3

Super Rare dens are highlighted by their blue colour, and they provide you with the best eggs you can find. However, these dens don't spawn commonly, and you'll come across occasions when you won't find a single one on the map. However, there's an easy way to bypass this problem.

Super Rare Den spawn in Monster Hunter Stories 3
Image via Capcom

Den spawns are reset whenever you load an area. This applies to broader areas like Azuria, Canalta Timberland, etc., and also to minor areas like Blightstone Woods, Ashen Pass, and more. When you load the save for the first time, it will reload a place. However, repeating this process takes a long time, and it's not something I will suggest.

Point to enter Ashen Pass
Image via Capcom

An easier way to save time and reload the map is to be at points where an area ends and another begins. If you refer to the image above, you'll find that I am at the point where you enter Ashen Pass from Blightstone Woods.

What you have to do is switch between the two areas until you find a Super Rare den spawn. Enter a new area, and open the map. If you find a Super Rare den, find it to get higher-quality eggs. If not, just go back to the previous area. Wait a few seconds for the new map to load, and look for the Super Rare den. You can repeat the process until you have found one.

While the process might be tiring, it does guarantee you at least one Super Rare den spawn at all times. Always remember to change the time to night since Super Rare dens don't spawn during the day.

Player flying in dark, shadowy biome in front of wood on grround in disney dreamlight valley

There are hundreds of unique materials you can find while out and about exploring in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Gathering items from the village is often a key Star Path goal, as is the case with the pick up wood materials mission.

This duty, like many others you'll find in these types of events, is fairly vague and doesn't give you all of the information you need to work through it. Because of this, it can be tough to determine what actually needs to be done to check it off. If this quest has you stumped, here's how to pick up wood materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

All wood materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley

There are four types of wood that can be foraged from around the valley and count as wood materials for the purposes of the Paw-fect Romance Star Path event. All types of wood you can pick up to make progress in this duty are as follows.

  • Dark Wood
  • Dry Wood
  • Hardwood
  • Softwood

If you have DLC worlds like Wishblossom Ranch, Eternity Isle, and Storybook Vale, there are other items that are technically classified as wood, like Reclaimed Barn Wood and Tropical Wood. These items don't count for this task, though, so you must stick only to the other four to get it done.

Star Path tasks are often very picky, only counting a collection of certain items, even if there are others that technically match the description, too. Because of this, getting them done can be tougher than expected, as you might be looking for items that should work but don't.

Pick up wood materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To finish the pick up wood materials task, you need to forage a total of 50 wood. This can be all of one type of wood or a mix of the four different types that count, which are Dark Wood, Dry Wood, Hardwood, and Softwood. The type of wood you choose to pick up doesn't matter as long as you end up with 50 in total, since this is the overall end goal of this mission.

Wood can be foraged from the ground in just about any biome. It spawns close to trees placed around the valley and DLC worlds, making it one of the easiest items to find in any area you're exploring. It also respawns frequently, so once you've picked some up, you can check back around the same area after around every 15 to 30 minutes for more to appear.

Finishing this mission gets you 25 Tokens to spend in the Star Path event. It's a decent prize for the hard work you put into it, but not enough to get you most of the big rewards. If you're looking for more Tokens to redeem the prize you've got your eye on, consider tackling some additional duties like buying seeds to grow a key pasta sauce ingredient, crafting any refinement itemdressing up in your Mickey Mouse ears, and feeding the Ravens their favorite food.

Player in red dress flying by crates and barrels in disney dreamlight valley

Star Path missions often ask you to craft specific items in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Oftentimes, though, you're not told exactly which ones count for the duty, as is the case with the craft crates or barrels mission.

There are hundreds of items you can make, and Star Path duties don't always count all of them, even ones that seem like they should work, so this quest may be tougher to check off than you might expect. If you're struggling to get through this one, here's how to craft crates or barrels in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

All crates and barrels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Screenshot by Destructoid

There are six different items that officially count as crates and barrels in DDV. Items that count include those found at a crafting station with either the word "crate" or "barrel" in the title. Here is every crate and barrel you can make and what materials you need to craft them.

  • Barrel Part

    • Five Dark Wood
    • One Iron Ingot

  • Crate

    • 10 Hardwood

  • Old Barrel

    • Five Dark Wood
    • One Iron Ingot

  • Half Barrel

    • Five Dark Wood
    • One Iron Ingot

  • Pile of Crates

    • Two Crates

  • Stack of Crates

    • Two Crates

Outside of these six items, there are plenty of other furniture items that technically have "crate" or "barrel" in the name, which is why completing this quest can be a bit trickier than expected. Most other crate and barrel items are only available through Scrooge McDuck's shop, though, and cannot be crafted, thus making them ineligible for this duty.

You also may come across other craftable items you feel should work while scrolling through the listed options at a crafting station. Unfortunately, this task is very specific, so only the six items previously listed count for it.

Craft crates or barrels in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To finish the craft crates or barrels quest for the Paw-fect Romance Star Path event, you need to make three crates or barrels at any crafting station. You can craft three crates, three barrels, or mix and match between the two. How you choose to break it up doesn't matter as long as you end up making a total of three.

If you're worried about spending supplies on these items or don't actually want to keep them, you can always get rid of them shortly after crafting. As long as you have the Cheshire Cat unlocked and raised to level seven friendship, you can tackle his The Uncrafting Station quest to obtain a powerful machine that uncrafts items, giving you back the materials you used to make them.

Completing this task earns you 25 Tokens to spend in the event. It's a decent prize, but not quite enough for most rewards featured in the Paw-fect Romance Star Path. If you need more to claim the prize you've got your eye on, consider working through some additional tasks next. Some good ones to focus on are cooking a spicy spaghetti dish, buying seeds that can be turned into pasta, crafting any refinement item, and dressing up in your Mickey Mouse ears.

Palia player standing in dark, shadowy, purple elderwood region holding up hands in a heart

The pathway to the Zendruu Tree in The Elderwood region is finally accessible, so it's time to delve into exploring it in Palia. One of the key missions revolving around this location is Do Not Go Gentle.

This quest, like many others you'll encounter in Palia, comes with some fairly tricky parts to work through. It's easy to end up stuck on a few tasks throughout it, so here's a complete walkthrough for the Do Not Go Gentle quest in Palia.

How to complete Do Not Go Gentle quest in Palia

How to unlock Do Not Go Gentle quest in Palia

The Do Not Go Gentle quest is unlocked after the Even As a Shadow mission, so you must be past this point in the main storyline to unlock it. To get to this point, you need to have almost all of the main storyline, up to the missions that take place in The Elderwood region, complete. The Do Not Go Gentle quest starts automatically as soon as the Even As a Shadow one is complete.

Find Ulfe

Your first mission is to find Ulfe. To find him, start right at the spot where the last quest ended, then head down the path, under the stone archway, and forward until you reach the shadowy wall, which is the exit. Walk straight through the wall to find Ulfe waiting for you on the other side, back out in the main Elderwood area. Chat with him there to progress to the next step.

Screenshot by Destructoid

Find the source of the angry voice

Next, you need to find the source of the angry voice. From where you chatted with Ulfe, head straight for a few steps, stopping right before you reach the large twisted tree. Turn right and walk over the first bridge, then keep going straight to proceed over the second one.

As soon as you cross over the second bridge, you'll encounter a strange Angry Echoling. At this point, you'll enter a conversation with it. Select whichever dialogue option you like to proceed.

Sabotage the ballistas

You now need to find and sabotage three ballistas around the area. You're looking for some big weapons scattered that kind of look like windmills, all of which can be found around the area in front of the Zendruu Tree entrance.

  • The first ballista can be found back near the shadow wall entrance to the Zendruu Tree area, close to Ulfe.
  • The second ballista is located behind Tamala, who is standing on the small island right between the two bridges you previously crossed over.
  • The third ballista is just past the second bridge, close to where you chatted with the Angry Echoling.

Once you find each ballista, walk up to it and select the button that appears next to the word "Sabotage." The right button to press here varies by platform, but is always displayed once you're close enough to trigger this action.

Return to the Angry Echoling

Once all three ballistas have been broken, head back to the other side of the second bridge to find the Angry Echoling again. Interact with it to strike up a new conversation and progress the mission.

Harvest debris from nearby

Next up, you need to harvest and collect debris from nearby. This is the trickiest part of the quest, as you're not given any guidance on what you're looking for, nor how to actually go about breaking it down.

Traverse around the same area you previously circled when looking for ballistas. Stop whenever you encounter some junk on the ground surrounded by purple magic, as this is the debris you're seeking. The debris takes on a couple of different forms, including:

  • Wooden planks sticking up out of the ground, which can be broken using your axe.
  • Grey, black, and brown stone clusters, which can be broken using your pickaxe.

After breaking all the debris you encounter around the area, be sure to pick up the loot that drops, as you'll want these materials later on. In total, you need to find and break six debris piles, all of which can be found around the front entrance to the Zendruu Way area.

Rebuild the Echoling's house

Now that you have all the materials gathered from the debris, return to the area where the Angry Echoling is. Approach the broken house right behind it, and interact with the sign on the right side to submit all of the materials you gathered to rebuild the Echoling's house. In total, you need to submit:

  • 25 Ancient Wood
  • 10 Heartwood
  • 10 Sapwood
  • 10 Palium Ore
  • One Platinum Ore
  • 25 Whitestone
  • 10 Stone

After submitting the supplies, talk to the Echoling again to let them know their house is all fixed up.

Plant the flowers in the right order

Flowers in right order in palia
Screenshot by Destructoid

Next, you need to solve a bit of a puzzle that tasks you with planting the flowers in the right order. Head over to the area on the right side of the house, close to where Subrira is standing. Here, you'll find two tables with an array of flowers on them. Here's the right order to place them in.

  • Place the Bluebells in the first spot on the far left side.
  • Put the Tulips in the second spot, right after the Bluebells.
  • Place the Gardenias in the third spot, right in between the Tulips and the Roses.
  • Put the Roses in the fourth spot, which is the very last one located near the right side.

Once all of the flowers are in the right spot, approach the mechanism between the two flower beds and select the button that appears next to the "Check Guess" option. As long as you put them in the spots listed above, the puzzle will be complete, allowing you to move on. Then, walk back over to the Echoling and have a chat to let them know you're done with the garden.

Gather the Flowflower

After chatting with the Echoling, a Flowflower will spawn. Pick it up, then walk over to Subira near the flowers to have a chat. This will officially complete the Do Not Go Gentle quest. If you're not sure what to tackle next, consider learning how to get Red Eggs and how to get Blue Eggs so you can get the seasonal Bulletin Board done.

Player standing in field holding bow and arrow in palia

A fresh set of Bulletin Board quests has arrived in Palia, bringing with them some new tricky items you need to track down. One of the tougher assets you need to get your hands on is Red Eggs.

You're not specifically told where to find any of the resources that are requested on the board. Most items are self-explanatory, but this is not the case for Red Eggs and all the other colors you need to find. They're decently difficult to find, so if you're having trouble, here's how to get Red Eggs in Palia.

Where to find Red Eggs in Palia

Red Eggs are mainly obtained by hunting in Palia. Anytime you're out and about and land a killing blow on a creature, there's a chance that the loot you get from it may include a Red Egg. Like all animal drops, though, Red Eggs are random and not guaranteed.

This means you may come across many of them in a row, but also that you may make several kills and not acquire a single one. Luck plays a massive role in how easy or difficult it is to get your hands on some Red Eggs.

Hunting is by far the most reliable way to get your hands on some Red Eggs, as this color is the only one that drops from this activity. There are a few other ways you can earn them, though, including mining, ranching, and gardening. When tackling these three activities, egg color drops are completely random, so you may get Red Eggs, but you also might get the other colors instead. For guaranteed Red Egg drops, you'll want to stick to hunting.

How to use Red Eggs in Palia

Red Eggs can be turned in at the Bulletin Board to help complete part of the Spring's Bounty Bundle that's featured in the Toadstool Tales update. 25 Red Eggs are required for this goal, alongside three Spotted Chapaa Tails, 20 Muujin Meat, and one Waveback Ogopuu Scale.

Since Red Eggs are never guaranteed when landing a kill during hunting, it'll likely take you a while to get the 25 you need for this bundle. It'll be around for at least three or four weeks, though, as all Bulletin Bundles are, so you've got a decent amount of time to work on it.

If you're planning on completing the full Spring's Bounty Bundle, you'll want to learn how to get Blue Eggs next. There are also plenty of other tasks you can set out to tackle next, including tricky quests like Answering the Call, Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, and Parental Dispute.

A player in Palia standing by the dock holding a fishing rod

Finding specific items around the world is a crucial part of gameplay in Palia, especially for bundles featured on the Bulletin Board. Some items are fairly tough to track down, though, as is the case with Blue Eggs.

You need quite a lot of Blue Eggs to complete the Spring's Bounty Bundle, but figuring out where to find them is a fairly tricky task. If you're struggling to track them down, here's how to get Blue Eggs in Palia.

Where to find Blue Eggs in Palia

Blue eggs in palia
Screenshot by Destructoid

Blue Eggs are primarily obtained by fishing anywhere in Palia. Anytime you catch something, whether it be a fish or other loot from the water, there's a chance a Blue Egg will be caught and added to your inventory with it. They're a random loot drop, though, which means they're never guaranteed. Blue Eggs are also fairly rare, so it takes quite a lot of fishing to get your hands on some.

Although fishing is the primary and best way to obtain Blue Eggs, you do have a chance of encountering one while tackling a few other activities, too. Mining, ranching, and gardening all may drop a Blue Egg from time to time. These three activities can grant you any of the egg colors, though, so your odds of getting Blue Eggs from them are much lower.

How to use Blue Eggs in Palia

You can turn Blue Eggs into the Bulletin Board along with a few other requested items to complete one part of the Spring's Bounty Bundle included in the Toadstool Tales update, thus unlocking the Fisher's Bounty item as a reward. You'll need to collect one Radiant Sunfish, five Stickleback, five Enchanted Pupfish, and 25 Blue Eggs to finish this one.

Since Blue Eggs are a completely random and luck-based drop, getting 25 of them is a fairly long and complex process. It'll likely take you a while to get this many, but luckily, this Bulletin Board bundle is around for a while, so you've got time. Just keep at it and go fishing as much as possible to get the total amount you need.

If you're up for some other tasks after getting your hands on Blue Eggs, there are plenty to choose from. Next, you might want to learn how to get Sweet Leaf, how to complete the Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow quest, and where to find Oily Anchovy.

Aaron Judge in MLB The Show 26

The Road to the Show mode has returned in MLB The Show 26 with several improvements under the hood, but the ability to get traded continues to remain an integral part of the experience.

Whether you want to see a change of scenery or try out something new, the trade option allows you to switch allegiances. However, the process isn't exactly straightforward, and you can't just get a trade whenever you want.

This guide will ease the process by explaining what needs to be done.

How to request a trade in MLB The Show 26

The usual way to get a trade in MLB The Show 26 is to request it from communications. When you're in the RTTS hub, you'll find the Message Box at the top right. From there, you will be able to speak with your agent.

Getting trade in MLB The Show 26
Image via PlayStation

If you've spoken recently with your agent, you'll need to wait before you can speak with him again. If there's an option for a conversation, you can express your wish to get a move. Then, just wait for a few days, and your agent will return with new offers for a move. This method is the most consistent way of getting traded, but you can also get automatic offers.

How to get trade offers in MLB The Show 26

If you're performing well, your in-game stats will improve. Better and consistent performances lead to a faster rate of growth. Once you're playing well, you'll attract the attention of other teams. Some of them will make automatic trade moves, and your agent will notify you.

While this method isn't as consistent as requesting a move yourself, better stats help you to get better/more offers. This is especially important if you're moving from a relatively weaker to one that's stacked with top talent.

Additionally, you can also manually tweak the Trading Frequency slider from the in-game settings. This will increase the frequency of AI-controlled teams making trade moves, and naturally increase the chances for you to make a move. However, don't increase it all the way since the number of trades happening on your RTTS save will feel unrealistic.
