Saints Row is bringing back the fan-favourite Insurance Fraud ragdoll missions

The Saints Row reboot is slowly taking shape as we move towards its release date of February, and now developer Volition has confirmed the return of several fan favourite series staples - including the Let's Pretend stores and the ragdoll minigame 'Insurance Fraud' missions. It also seemingly revealed the Santo Ileso map, too.

The Insurance Fraud missions were introduced all the way back in the first Saints Row in 2006 and were a good indication of the goofy way that the series would slowly progress. If you've never played a Saints Row game - basically the idea is to throw the player character at a car, at which point they bounce off and ragdoll and the player has to guide them pinball-like into other vehicles, racking up the score.

These missions are a fun respite from the GTA-ness of the regular gameplay and have been in every game in the series, so it's great to see them return in the Saints Row reboot - and pretty unchanged, if the new Criminal Ventures trailer below is any indication.

My New World character is going through an identity crisis

A war horn bellows across the land. My Marauder compatriots have been called to assemble at the gates of Ebonscale Reach to launch an offensive against the tyrannical Covenant. Fifty soldiers from each side will decide the fate of the region - but reports from my fellow Marauders are dire. Only a handful of our troops have signed up to fight, and the battle is fast approaching.

Ebonscale Reach is a level 51-60 zone in New World, Amazon Games' hit new MMO (which you can buy here). I am level 26, but I have a duty to my people. The war board waits in the city across the water; my friends and I are bravely wading across the bayou into deadly territory in order to sign up for the battle.

After hauling ourselves onto shore and making camp on the sand, a reanimated skeleton notices us from afar and takes aim. We're so low level that every enemy in the region wants a piece of us. Languorous crocodiles, lumbering along the waterside half a mile away catch our scent on the breeze and crack hungry grins before launching themselves towards us.

I ate my first mince pie this week, which feels like a betrayal of my belief that Christmastime should not start before Halloween is over. That said, it wasn't a mince puff, so does it really count? Please, tell me about your festive eating. And may as well mention what you're playing this weekend.
