| PCGamesN Saturday, October 23, 2021 1:11 PM | | Capcom Arcade Stadium, the collection of 30+ classic Capcom arcade games, is currently sitting on a 'Mostly Negative' rating on Steam. The main issue players have complained about is the strange decision to sell the games in bundles only, but now Capcom has finally decided to start selling them individually too - although there's still no sign of any new releases. The emulated arcade collection of some of Capcom's most beloved games - including the early '90s versions of Street Fighter II, Final Fight, Ghouls 'n' Ghosts, and Bionic Commando - arrived on PC in May this year. It's a competent and well-presented collection that brought to mind SEGA's awesome Mega Drive/Genesis Classics software - complete with a simulated arcade. However, Capcom Arcade Stadium was immediately criticised for its pricing structure. Not just selling an invincibility cheat for $1, but also Capcom's decision to only sell games in bundles - so, in order to get Super Street Fighter II Turbo you would have to buy the expensive ten-game pack with the likes of 1944: The Loop Master and Battle Circuit.

| PCGamesN Saturday, October 23, 2021 12:15 PM | | The next Batman and Fortnite crossover comic is due out this week but a number of people have received advance copies and have posted a few moments online - including the shocking moment where the sinister Batman Who Laughs splatters poor Tomatohead. As revealed earlier this month, the next Batman x Fortnite crossover happens this week and includes the arrival of a DC Comics new skin in the game, the disturbing The Batman Who Laughs - a Batman from an alternate universe where he was corrupted by Joker toxin, similar to a plotline from Batman: Arkham Knight. The skin is available for free with the one-off Batman/Fortnite: Foundation comic as part of the new crossover - much like the Harley Quinn Rebirth skin from the previous comic event. The comic prominently features The Batman Who Laughs as the main villain, which makes sense as he was teased at the end of the last comic. Going by the panels that have leaked online, at some point this dark Batman finds his way to the Fortnite island. RELATED LINKS: Fortnite V-Bucks, Fortnite Skins, Fortnite Creative Codes

| PCGamesN Saturday, October 23, 2021 10:59 AM | | Just released on Steam is Non-Euclidean Chess, a twist on the most archetypal and greatest turn-based strategy game of all time that turns the whole concept of chess upside-down - literally, in some cases. It even offers the opportunity to play a 100-person chess battle royale match, if that madness should strike you. To explain the game's title, all regular chessboards follow Euclidean geometric rules - which basically means something where all lines are equal distances apart. As a square made up of smaller squares, a chess set is a perfect example of Euclidean principles. A non-Euclidean chessboard, then, is one where all the rules go out the window and boards can be literally whatever you want them to be. Manifold Interactive's Non-Euclidean Chess, out now on Steam early access, is the ultimate example of chess gone crazy. The developers simply describe the game as "a chess engine which supports custom board types" - berore downplaying the madness further by saying the title can include matches and boards that "defy traditional movement rules, or even physical limitations".

| PCGamesN Saturday, October 23, 2021 9:58 AM | | Hi-Rez Studios' Smite was originally conceived as a free-to-play MOBA game where the gods fought each other, but recent Battle Pass crossovers have called this into question. Now the developer has revealed that Hasbro's Transformers will be joining the battle next month, because after Stranger Things everything's a god, apparently. As revealed in the cinematic trailer below, the Smite x Transformers Battle Pass will be available on November 16. Previous Battle Pass crossovers include the aforementioned Stranger Things, Rooster Teeth's RWBY, Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So yes, next month Optimus Prime will be able to battle Raphael, Aang, and Eleven. Technically these are all skins rather than all-new Smite characters, so Megatron is a skin for Ra, Optimus Prime is Geb, and Starscream is Jing Wei. Nevertheless, they play exactly like Transformers, complete with the ability to transform and drive or fly around the battlefield - don't worry, Megatron turns into a tank rather than his useless gun. The skins also come in two varieties: modern and cel-shaded like the original cartoon. RELATED LINKS: Smite review, Best Smite gods, Free MMOs
